Please Dad? It's my favorite story.
Alrighty, Suri, I'll tell it. It was a hot day on Ord Mantell, and I had gone to pick up a shipment of weapons for my boss, Viidu. You see, Viidu specialized in acquiring items of a sensitive nature. A local militia group had ordered a shipment of rifles, and the only person that my boss could get them from in time was a gangster named Rogan the Butcher. My job was to go verify that the shipment was legit, unload it all, and then supervise the handover and pay the smuggler. I wasn't doing it all alone, I had a guy helping me. He was new, but he'd been recommended to Viidu by someone, so I trusted him. His name was Skavak.
THAT NO GOOD SON OF A HUTT!
That day, things started out bad and then got ugly real quick. The da...arn Separatists had launched a bunch of attacks, hitting the patrols from the local Republic fort and even taking down a Walker with some rockets. We were in a village just to the south of the fort, and in all of this, the smuggler's ship arrived, screaming through the chaos and landing in the middle of the bombardment. I'd gone to check out reports that the Separatists had taken out a republic ship. Skavak...

...had started unloading by the time I'd gotten back. I ran in and I nearly tripped over my own feet. There, in the middle of the hanger, stood the most beautiful woman I'd ever seen. She had short red hair and freckles on her face, and her eyes were as green as...
A PICKLE!
Yes, as green as a pickle, son. When I found out she was the Captain of that starship, I knew I had to warn her that the Seps had taken over the local anti-air emplacement and that if she took off, she was liable to get shot right out of the sky!
Well, the Captain wasn't gonna let that stand. Not the Skylark! Thanks to Viidu I knew that the Seps were just controlling it remotely, but I also knew that they were using the local communication network to do it. There was a tower just down the street from us, completely unguarded, so I let her know that if she went and blew up the tower, Viidu's guys were already on their way to hit the other one out on the edge of the village. That meant she could get out of here fast before the Republic guys showed up, because actually, your Mama didn't have official authorization from the local fort to be there, and so she wanted to be on her way right quick. She took a couple grenades, and off she went!
Not more than a couple minutes later, I happened to walk past the control panel for the hanger we were in, and I saw a bunch of separatists on the cameras! Well, I called up your Mama, trying to warn her that we were gonna be under attack. At the same moment, I heard a big explosion and the communications spire bent sideways and was busted. Just as I was talking to your Mama, I saw Skavak...

...press the button to unseal the door and let them in! I thought he'd done it by accident, opening instead of sealing the blast doors or something, so I yelled at him, "What are you doing?" and tried to push past him to seal the inner doors, but all of a sudden I felt like my whole side was on fire and I couldn't breathe! That villain had stabbed me right in the side! Well, I tried to fight him, but that coward had jumped me before I even knew what was happening and he punched me. I fell and hit my head, and that was that. I was out cold, and I would've bled to death, except for your Mama.
The next thing I remember, your Mama was bent over me, sticking me with stims. She'd slapped a medpac on me, right over the hole in my side, and she was cursing and trying to stop the bleeding. She helped me up and I could see that she'd had to fight her way in past a couple of separatists. Just then, we both heard the most awful noise--the Skylark's engines were warming up! Well, your Mama dropped me and tried to run out there, but she was too late. Skavak...

...had stolen the Skylark and flown off in her! We commed him and commed him and finally he picked up, but all he did was laugh at us. The Captain's voice got real low, and she told him he was making a big mistake, but he hung up. As the stims started kicking in even stronger, I realized that he'd stolen Torchy, my genuine BlasTech ALT-25 blaster with a magnatomic adhesion grip and side-mounted rangefinder. Your Mama was throwing an absolute fit, stomping her feet and cursing everything from his ancestry to his stupid face tattoo.
Daddy! We don't say stupid.
Yes, sweetheart you're right. His ugly face tattoo. Your Mama helped me get up, and together, we made our way to where Viidu was holed up in the local Republic fort. I was slow, but she never even for a second considered leaving me behind. She watched my back until we were safe. I got checked out by the doc, and they got me all squared away. And that was the start of your Mama and I's adventures together!
I'm glad she saved you.
Yeah, Mama's the best!
Yes she is, Pumpkin. Goodnight kids. I love you.
