"What do you mean you can't change me back?!" Nami exclaimed.
The pink-haired girl waved her arms to silence her and pulled her into a nearby alleyway.
"Look, it's not permanent. It should only last a few months."
Nami's eyes went wide. "Months?!"
"Shush! You asked for a way to get to Luffy without being caught, and that's what I did."
"But I didn't ask to be turned into a five-year-old!"
Bonney couldn't help but let out a laugh. "I'm sorry, you just look so silly with your face all red, throwing a tantrum."
She was about to yell again but Bonney clamped her hand on Nami's mouth.
"I heard from a trusted source that Luffy is training on an island near Amazon Lily. Your crew still has a while until your two-year training period is up. I'll get you there in two days and you'll be turned back to normal before you guys even leave the island."
"But why do I have to be a kid?" Nami asked, folding her arms.
"This island has a Navy base located here, with hundreds of Marines crawling about. And my ship is at the far south side of the island. This way they won't recognize you and throw you in Impel Down."
Nami shivered. She hated to think that Luffy had gone there and couldn't imagine what he had seen there.
It's not as bad as what he saw at Marineford.
The old men at Weatheria had streamed the entire battle. Nami didn't sleep for days after she watched her captain's brother die in his arms. She knew that Luffy wanted them to train for two years. But she needed to see him sooner. Nami couldn't bear the thought of her captain in pain and all by himself.
Nami glared at Jewelry Bonney, and nodded, gritting her teeth. "Fine, let's go."
