"Well shit." Was all I muttered out loud, as my sister stared at me. Mouth agape, in shock at the fact I just swore. "You said a swear! I'm telling Mom." As she was about to leave the room, I tried sitting up properly from my hospital bed...only to groan in pain, as the stitches that I had forgotten about radiated with pain. That thankfully cause my sister to stop from leaving the room, and instead turn her attention back to me again...god what I wouldn't give for some Medi-Gel right about now. "Don't leave, just stay...I need to talk to you, but you gotta promise. Promise that you won't laugh at what I say, no matter how stupid it sounds." Jane raised an eyebrow at her brother's words, before simply nodding her head. "Okay. But this better be good."

I sighed to himself, before taking a long deep breath in, and slowly exhaling out. "You might wanna sit down, this is gonna take a while." Jane did as she was told, sitting in the chair that she had been in when he first woke up. I suddenly felt more than a little nervous, my body felt...tense. I was feeling nauseous. I wanted to tell her everything but...but that might throw the whole timeline out of whack. Which would mean...that I couldn't accurately navigate our way through the entire franchise. I needed to play this right, I needed...I have to keep some secrets.

"Okay. Jane, this is gonna sound silly...but I died. Like I saw the light, and all I saw was...nothing. Nothing but emptiness and death. These tentacles machines, they...they were rampaging across planets, killing and...sometimes even corrupting their victims into foot soldiers, for their future conquests. I saw all kinds of species being slaughtered and turned, with the dead rising and fighting for these machines. Then I heard one of the creatures that was fighting these machines, calling them by what I said out loud. They called them Reapers, and they come every 50,000 years to exterminate all life in the Galaxy. It's why the Prothean's vanished, it's why the Prothean's just upped and disappeared sis. These monsters came, and destroyed them. Ruthlessly, and without remorse...then these machines turned themselves towards me, and fired a red laser at my body. Which is when I woke up, and saw you sleeping next to me. These visions Jane, they felt so real...I felt like I was actually there. Seeing all that death and destruction...I don't think I'll ever get that sight out of my head."

I let my words hang in the air, letting Jane process what I said. Her face was unreadable, she really had one hell of a poker face. Something she'll keep as she gets older, she truly was unflappable. But I was struggling, I wanted her to believe what I said, but it all sounded so far fetched that any normal person would never believe such a thing. Much less, when that person said they died, and came back to life with visions of an apocalyptic future. "Say something Jane. Please. I want you to believe me, I want you to-" Jane raised her hand up and place it on my mouth, stopping me from waffling on...which h was grateful for. It allowed me to calm myself down, and look her dead in the eyes. Once she saw I was calm again, she moved her hand away from my mouth, and I took a deep breath in and exhaled loudly. Before turning my attention back to her. "Do you believe me?" That was the question that needed answering, and Jane's face was still as unreadable as before. Her piercing gaze then looked me dead in the eyes, and her answer came. Much to my own relief.

"What kind of Sister would I be, if I didn't believe you? But, that means we've got some work to do bro. No more slacking off for us, no more playing and having fun. We train, and we train to be better than Mother. We train to be better than Salarian STG. We train to be better than Turian Blackwatch. We train to be better than Asari Commandos-" It was then I raised my hand up, and stopped her from talking. Much to her visible annoyance. But I couldn't help but smile at her. "No sis, we train. To be better than Council Spectres."
