Eddie smiled to herself as she walked up and looked down at her two greatest loves laid out asleep on the couch. It was Thanksgiving Day and Jamie and Grace had both came down with a cold. The illness had started with Jamie, then hit Grace a few days later.

Because of this reason, they decided to skip Thanksgiving dinner, wanting to spare the rest of the Reagans from possible transmission and to let Jamie and Grace rest.

"Hey," she said, gently running a hand through Jamie's sweaty, spiked up hair.

He slowly opened his eyes and gave a tired smile, "Hey."

"I already called Pop and told him that we aren't coming. He said that he'll have Danny drop off some food later."

"Okay," he replied, running a protective hand over their sleeping five-month-old daughter's back. "How long have we been out?"

"Awhile," she responded softly. "You should go to our bed. You'll be more comfortable there. I'll take her to her crib."

He slowly shook his head, "We're fighting this together. She's coming with me."

Jamie slowly sat up, being mindful of the sleeping baby on his chest and carried her off to their bedroom. He walked in and gently laid Grace in the middle of the bed, then slid in beside her and closed his eyes.

"You two make a cute pair," she said, pulling out her phone and taking a quick picture.

"Thanks," he said with his eyes still closed, putting a hand over Grace's belly and pulling her closer. "I'm so tired."

"I know, babe," she sympathized, walking over and pressing a kiss to the side of his head. "At least it's not like it was yesterday. You barely said two words to me because you slept a majority of the day. You two will be better before we know it."

"I hope so," he said, then looked at Grace and sighed. "I hate that I got her sick…"

She smiled sadly, "It's okay, Jamie. You didn't mean to do it. At least it didn't hit her as hard as it hit you."

"Thankfully," he replied, kissing the sleeping baby's cheek. "I felt terrible when she was crying last night. I hated that I was the cause of it and really couldn't do anything to help her."

"Jamie… don't be so hard on yourself. It was only a matter of time before she got her first cold. Unfortunately, as much as we want to, we can't protect her from things like that."

"I know," he replied. "But it still sucks."

"It does," she agreed, then walked to the other side and laid down in bed with them, carefully pulling the sheet up. She pressed a kiss to Grace's head. "But you know what?"

"What?"

"She's going to be just fine because she has a pretty good daddy who will do anything to make her feel better, even if he's not feeling too good himself."

He gave a small smile and squeezed her hand, "I love you."

"I love you, too. Go to sleep now, babe."

He gave a small nod and quickly nodded off. Even though this was not the ideal way for them to spend Thanksgiving, there was no where else either of them would want to be.
