The spaceport Clone Force 99 was flying towards was small and looked abandoned. However, as they approached, Crosshair realised that people were working there and that the planet had minimal traffic. However, they knew that the workers were expecting them.

"Why am I unsurprised that they're waiting for the only craft to come by today?" Crosshair asked.

"The planet gets minimal traffic, so, of course, they're waiting for us," Hunter replied as he steered the Havoc Marauder 2 into the spaceport and a landing.

It was surprisingly warm for a Spring day in Kytaro. The space station hummed with the electricity of the machinery scattered around the place. A mix of the star and artificial light lit the spaceport, and the scent of metal wafted as Crosshair walked on the hard floor.

As they exited the craft, a small group of Clones approached them.

"What brings you to Kytaro?" came the leading one. The Clone had minimal hair, although he had a small amount of hair on his head. Otherwise, he appeared normal, maybe slightly younger.

"Kix? Is that you?" Hunter asked.

"Yes, that's my name," Kix replied.

"I thought the Empire had frozen you in stasis. That's what the rumours said," Hunter replied.

"Kuan found the ship I was trapped in and released me," Kix explained.

"Kuan has been busy these last year or two," Hunter replied.

"That he has," Omega replied.

"So, who are you?" Kix turned to face Omega.

"My name's Omega," Omega replied.

"So you're the un-age-accelerated counterpart to Irala," Kix said.

"You know Irala?" Omega asked.

"I do. Irala is my assistant, and in turn, I'm her guardian," Kix explained, "The young woman needed someone to give her stability and guidance after the destruction of Kamino, and I was crucial to give her that,"

"That's cool," Omega replied, "I'm just glad I'm not alone. Having sisters is cool, even if Emerie is my dark mirror,"

"Maybe we can organise for you two to meet and interact," Kix said.

"Sounds good," Omega replied.

"So, where do we go from here?" Crosshair asked.

"You'll just need to provide a few details to the people on the bottom floor, and then you should head south towards the settlements there," Kix replied.

"Lead the way," Crosshair said. Kix nodded and guided the squad towards the lower floors.

Thankfully, the processing only took a few minutes, and Clone Force 99 was allowed to exit the spaceport.

As Clone Force 99 exited the spaceport, they took in the surroundings. It was a mild Spring morning on the planet. Small settlements dotted the grassy plains across the landscape. The sky was blue, and the Orange star shone over the landscape. The wind blew through the landscape, and the scent of grass wafted through. Hunter led the squad through the plains, heading for the nearest settlement, where rumours say a Jedi is hiding.

Slowly, the Batch approaches the settlement. The scent of wood wafted through as Omega wondered who lived there.

An hour later, Omega led the squad into the settlement. Several wooden and brick houses dot either side of the main road, with several narrower roads branching towards other houses or facilities.

"So, where is this Jedi that Kuan mentioned?" Omega asked. After a moment, Omega saw Khan So approach.

"Khan!" Omega exclaimed as she ran up and hugged her Kaminoan brother, which he returned.

"What are you doing here?" Hunter asked, surprised at his appearance.

"I'm here with my Master," Khan replied.

"Your master? I thought your father was your master," Omega asked.

"You would think so," Khan replied, "But my actual master never told anyone that she had taken me on as a padawan,"

Omega then realised who Khan was talking about, and her eyes lit up.

"Shaak Ti!" Omega exclaimed, "Shaak Ti is your master?"

"Exactly," came a voice from nearby. When Clone Force 99 turned towards the voice, they saw Shaak Ti's approach.

"Shaak Ti. I'm pleasantly surprised to see you're alive," Hunter smiled as Wrecker ran up and hugged her.

"Hey, Wrecker," Shaak Ti replied, slightly breathless due to how tightly Wrecker hugged her.

When they broke apart, Hunter approached and hugged her, blushing slightly.

"Someone's still crushing on me slightly," Shaak Ti smiled as she returned the embrace.

"Hunter has always been a bit of a simp for strong women," Crosshair sneered.

"It's good to see you," Omega replied, embracing Shaak Ti, which she returned.

"I'm sorry I couldn't help you more on Kamino," Shaak Ti replied, "I just hope you're OK,"

Omega sighed, "I'm not. But I will be with the right supports,"

"And I'll help where I can," Shaak Ti replied.

"Thank you," Omega replied as they broke apart.

"So, how did you survive Order 66?" Hunter asked.

"It's a wild story. It's best to inform you in a more private place. Follow me back to my place, and I'll tell you the story," Shaak Ti replied.

"Lead the way," Hunter replied. Shaak Ti nodded and led everyone down one of the narrower streets towards a bigger house.

When everyone got inside Shaak Ti's house, Hunter noticed it was milder inside her house for a Spring morning. Shaak Ti turned on the lamps in her Living Room, casting a soft, yellow glow on the Living Room. Hunter saw the soft orange-and-brown carpet, four chairs and a three-seat couch positioned around a holonet projector on brown cupboards. A brown table sat in the middle, decorated with a white vase with blue flowers. The vase had a large rose inside. The snores of what sounded like a sleeping Lurca Hound echoed through the room as Hunter detected the scent of the nearby forest wafting from the windows as he stood on the soft carpet.

"Keep your voice down. Zorc is sleeping," Shaak Ti whispered as she pointed to the chairs for everyone to sit in, "I'm afraid there isn't enough room for everyone, and none of the chairs will support Wrecker's weight, so I'm afraid someone must sit on the floor with Wrecker,"

As Hunter sat in one of the indicated couches, he looked over and saw the source of the snoring. He was right. Shaak Ti had a pet, Lurca Hound.

It was four-legged with blue skin, sharp teeth, a dark blue horn sticking out of its head and a tail. The legs were short but powerful, ending in stubby feet. The creature had large nostrils between two large eyes that were currently closed. As the Hound snored, it bared sharp teeth.

"He's tame, mostly," Shaak Ti said, noticing Hunter's concern.

"You have a pet Lurca Hound. They're native to Wayland. How did you get one?" Omega wondered.

"That's a story for another time," Shaak Ti replied, "Should I get any drinks for you?"

"Just some water for now," Hunter replied, and Shaak Ti used the force to summon glasses and bottles of water from the Kitchen.

Once everyone was settled and had their drinks, Shaak Ti said, "Now I can tell you how I survived Order 66,"

"Yeah," Hunter whispered.

"Well, it started when I heard about the activation of Order 66. Having been in brief contact with Aayla Secura before she escaped with Commander Bly, I deduced what would happen next. I grabbed a nearby group of younglings and used a secret passageway to escape the Jedi Temple. I escorted them to a starport and bolted after a brief firefight. Eventually, we got in contact with Khan, who I had secretly taken as my padawan while I was on Kamino, at least until he vanished. We arranged a meeting. I met his father, Kuan Si. I learned about this world, Kytaro, and agreed to move there to hide from the Empire. I've been living here or assisting at the station ever since," Shaak Ti explained to the awe of the Batch.

"That's an incredible story," Omega said before turning to Khan, "Guess we're all glad you became Shaak Ti's secret Padawan, hey bro?"

Khan chuckled, "I'm certainly glad of that,"

"So, where's Aayla and Bly?" Echo asked.

"Nobody knows exactly where they are except that they're somewhere else in the Unknown Regions," Shaak Ti replied.

"I imagine it's for their protection," Echo replied.

"It is," Shaak Ti nodded before she remembered something.

"Oh, Echo, speaking of old acquaintances, someone is waiting for you in the next village about five kilometres south of here," Shaak Ti said, making everyone turn to Echo.

Echo looked briefly puzzled at Shaak Ti before his eyes widened when he realised who she was talking about.

"No way. Fives?" Echo whispered, hardly daring to believe it. Although nobody noticed it, Omega had flinched in surprise upon hearing Fives' name.

"Yes," Shaak Ti nodded, "Thanks to minor interference from Khan and me, we managed to save them both right under Nala Se's nose. I can imagine the look on Nala Se's face when she realises that they're alive,"

"Shaak Ti," Omega interrupted, "Nala Se will never know that because she's dead,"

"What?" Shaak Ti asked, surprised. When Omega nodded, Shaak Ti replied, "I'm sorry for your loss. What happened?"

"She died attempting to destroy the Mt. Tantiss facility after we extracted most of the Clones from it, including Omega, Crosshair, and Boba,"

"That explains the high level of stress I could sense from my Padawan," Shaak Ti replied, smiling gently at Khan, who looked away awkwardly.

"Well, I'm glad your actions have set the Empire back," Shaak Ti replied.

Suddenly, there's another knock at the door.

"Who is it?" Shaak Ti called as the Lurca Hound awoke and stretched.

"Hey, Zorc," Khan quietly called as the Lurca Hound bounded over to Khan and snuggled against him, expecting pats.

"It's Plo Koon," came the voice from the other side, "Can I come in?"

"Come in. Just be aware I have lots of company, and Zorc is awake," Shaak Ti replied.

The door opened, and Plo Koon entered.

"Master Plo," Khan waved to the Kel Dor as he entered the living room and gave a few pats to Zorc. Looking around, he noticed Clone Force 99.

"It's good to see you again," Plo Koon said, "It's good to see most of you are here,"

"Wish Tech was here," Hunter replied. And once again, Shaak Ti and Plo Koon briefly exchanged glances as if they knew more than they were letting on.

"The other Clone you mentioned, that was Tup?" Echo asked.

"Yes," Shaak Ti replied, "As I said, Khan and I managed to fake their deaths,"

"Good to hear," Echo replied before he turned to Plo.

"How did you survive getting shot down?" Echo asked.

"I almost didn't," Plo replied, "But thanks to two quick, subtle uses of the force, I managed to keep myself alive long enough for local paramedics to get me out of my crashed starfighter and get me treatment. It took several months, and I still have complications today, but I managed to recover enough to sneak off-world and connect with Shaak Ti, allowing me to come to this planet and rest,"

"Nice work on the escape," Hunter replied.

"Thank you," Plo replied, "Now, I assume you'll want to know where to head from here,"

"We do," Echo replied.

"Head south from here for about five kilometres. You'll find another settlement there. They will be there," Plo replied.

"Thank you," Echo replied, "Words cannot describe how grateful I am,"

"Oh, one more thing. Once you complete your reunion with Fives and Tup, I recommend going to the house at the end of the street. Two people are waiting for you,"

"We'll be sure to check it out," Wrecker replied.

After another half-hour of idle chat, during which Zoro got to know everyone, Clone Force 99 said goodbye to Shaak Ti and Plo Koon, exited the settlement, and headed for the nearby settlement five kilometres southward.

It took three-quarters of an hour for Clone Force 99 to reach the nearest settlement, which they discovered was more populated than the previous settlement. It was marginally colder than when they had left Shaak Ti's house, and the scents and sounds were identical but louder and more pervasive.

"Hey, I was wondering when you guys would show up," came a voice from nearby as the squad entered the settlement. Echo turned to see who said it and saw Tup waving.

"Tup? Is that you?" Echo asked in astonishment.

"Great to see you alive, Echo," Tup hugged Echo, which he carefully returned.

"I thought you were dead," Echo said.

"You can thank Shaak Ti and Khan for that," Tup replied, "You've got to tell me how you escaped,"

"I will, once you take me to Fives," Echo replied.

Tup briefly looked confused at Echo, then smiled and nodded, "Hehe. Fives will be over the moon to see you alive,"

"Agreed. I won't believe it until I see it," Echo admitted as Tup led Echo down the pathway towards a small group of houses just past the centre square. The Batch looked at each other, then followed.

As they approached the small group of houses just past the centre square, Echo noticed someone familiar sitting out the front of the second house in the first row of five.

"Hey, Fives, check out who I found," Tup called. Fives looked up to the approaching Echo, and upon locking eyes, both yelled, "I thought you were dead," and ran up to each other and tightly hugged.

"I watched you get blown up. How did you survive?" Fives asked.

"The Techno Union found me and imprisoned me on Skako Minor," Echo replied, "I heard you died after getting too deep into the business with the Inhibitor Chips,"

"Shaak Ti and Khan made a few subtle manipulations that allowed me to survive getting shot by Fox," Fives replied.

The twins stayed embraced for several moments before Fives noticed Omega.

"Hey. I remember you," Fives broke away from Echo and walked over to Omega, "Do you remember me?"

"CT 27-5555, known as Fives. You saved me on Kamino once," Omega replied, smiling that Fives remembered her, though everyone noticed the shadow crossing Omega's features as she said that.

"You two know each other?" Echo asked.

"Yeah. Even if you didn't know it, you've seen Omega before," Fives replied. It took a moment for Echo to dig back into his memories before he realised the incident Fives was talking about. The look of horror on Echo's face made Omega briefly recoil, and Fives nodded grimly at him.

"It's not something I talk about," Omega admitted, "It was incredibly humiliating and upsetting. And the horrors I would've endured if you hadn't taken me back to Nala Se's lab, I don't want to even think about it," Omega sighed, shuddering as she hugged herself and looked down, her face going back into shadow.

"How deep does this trauma go?" Fives asked.

"Deeper than I thought," Echo sighed.

"We'd better start getting to the bottom of this," Hunter said.

"Come on, we'd better get inside," Fives replied, "I have to learn how you got away from the Techno Union,"

"Let's go then," Echo said, leading the Batch inside.

It was warmer inside Fives' unit versus outside. It was a mild afternoon, and Echo noticed the fresh rug on the floor. Echo heard an air conditioner hum as Fives lit the lamp, illuminating the sitting room. Echo saw two seats in the sitting room, but Echo and Tup pulled up several chairs for their guests. The scent of carpet and wood wafted as Echo sat on a chair at Fives' request.

"So, how did you escape the Techno Union?" Fives asked as everyone sat in the chairs, and he sat opposite Echo on the other sofa.

"It was thanks to these guys, minus Omega as she hadn't joined us yet, and Rex infiltrated the Techno Union's Cyber Centre on Anaxes and discovered that I was alive and the Techno Union was holding me. They infiltrated Skako Minor, and Tech worked to unplug me from the computer system. Then we escaped, and I helped win the battle of Anaxes. I joined Clone Force 99 for a while. Omega joined when the Republic became the Empire, but we lost Crosshair to the Empire. I joined Rex at one point and almost drove Omega from the squad because of it. I returned for a while, then we lost Tech over Eriadu, and then Omega got captured by Dr Hemlock. After another couple of failed missions, Hunter broke off from us, Wrecker and I returned to Rex, and we worked fruitlessly to attempt to locate Wayland. Hunter and Fennec managed to find it instead. So we launched an operation and got loads of Clones out, including Crosshair, Omega, and Boba, and now we're here," Echo explained.

"Aw man, that sounded like fun," Fives groaned in jealousy.

"Honestly, it's not as fun as you'd think," Echo replied.

Tup turned to Omega, "So, what's your story?"

"I was a medical assistant to Nala Se," Omega stated, "I was imprisoned in her laboratory and used as a medical experiment. The only times I was outside the laboratory was either in other Kaminoans' laboratory or, well, when Fives rescued me,"

Fives and Tup exchanged looks, and immediately, Tup knew to drop the subject.

"Well, you've got a strong support network here, so we can all work together to help you heal, Omega. You're not alone," Tup said.

"Thank you," Omega replied.

"Now, I'm guessing you want to head to the place at the edge of this settlement," Fives said.

"We should," Hunter replied, "Especially with all the hinting. I don't want to get my hopes up, but I have a funny feeling I know who's there,"

"Well, only one way to find out," Crosshair got up and headed for the door.

"I'll be joining you. I've got to catch up," Fives replied. The other Batchers also got up and departed, with Fives and Echo catching each other up on what they had been up to.

It took about five minutes for the Batchers to reach the house. The house looked newer and had white paint over the walls. The surroundings were a mix of sand and rocks. The sun shone light over the area. There was a porch out the front of the place. And all of the shocks that the Batch had in the past few hours were nothing compared to the shock they got when they saw the two people sitting on the porch.

"No way," Hunter whispered in disbelief as his eyes laid on the two figures. Hunter had thought they were dead for months, yet here they are, alive and well.

"Tech! Phee!" Omega yelled as she ran to them.

"Look who escaped the facility," Tech smiled as he hugged Omega.

"You have no idea how worried we were," Phee said, "I'm so glad you're here,"

"We thought you were dead," Hunter said as everyone approached.

"How did you survive the fall?" Wrecker asked Tech.

"How did you survive the explosion?" Hunter asked Phee.

"I managed to cut myself from the falling gondola, but it slashed my face," Tech pointed to the faint scar on his face remaining from the hit, "Plo Koon then used Force Push to send the gondola away, then slowed my fall. The landing hurt, and I was in significant pain when I awoke. Even now, I still have physical issues," Tech had to steady his footing as he got to his feet.

Hunter then noticed that Phee's right arm appeared bandaged. Even after months, it seemed they were still having issues.

"How about you?" Hunter asked Phee, "How did you survive?"

"I managed to avoid the room that the explosion took place in. The only reason I didn't suffocate in the fire was due to the actions of Kuan's Clone troopers. The troopers got me to a CR90 Corvette inside a Bacta Pod and healed me, and now I'm here," Phee explained.

"Unfortunately, not without complications," Tech sighed, pointing to Phee's arm.

"Yeah. Unfortunately, complications from our various indicate have left permanent marks," Tech sighed, "So, we're having to stay on this planet,"

At this point, Omega senses Khan's approach.

"What's up?" Omega turned to face him.

"With the Empire after us, there's no way we're staying here. I know of a planet where the Empire will never find you. Nobody connected to the Dark Side of the Force can find it, and you need The Force even to know where it is," Khan replied.

"Can Shaak Ti and Plo Koon access it?" Hunter asked.

"Yes. Shaak Ti and Plo Koon have been there and are planning to move there soon," Khan replied.

"What's the name of the world?" Omega asked.

"Abyoda," Khan replied, "It's one of the five Force Nexus planets in the galaxy, the origin points for the force itself. It's also where Kuan intends to move the Clones we've rescued so they can live as normally as you can when you're a Clone,"

"I've heard the rumours about a planet in the Unknown Regions like that," Crosshair said.

"How long will we be there? I don't want to lose contact with anyone," Omega replied.

"The Lawquanes are already living there," Shaak Ti replied before adding, upon seeing the glances from the Clones, "Rex told me about them," before she turned to Omega.

"Cut and Suu are willing to be your second family when you see them. Jek and Shaeeah are hoping to see you again," Shaak Ti told Omega.

"How long before we go?" Hunter asked.

"It'll be a couple of weeks," Shaak replied, "I'm sure you all need to catch up, and we need to identify the Clone we've rescued. And have their Inhibitor Chips removed, if they have any,"

"Right," Omega replied, a haunted shadow crossing her features.

The Batch spent the rest of the day catching everyone up about their adventures across the galaxy looking for Omega and Crosshair. Whatever the future held, everyone knew they could face it head-on.
