A/N: This one came earlier than I expected, still it's just the first part because the plot ended up double on size, so this chapter will serve to reintroduce a few characters, as the next one will too, along with some new. But I think I did this division also because I wanted each character to have time for themselves and to breathe. Hope you like it!

"Where are they?!"

A loud voice echoed through the airport. The one screaming was a woman who raised a sign with the phrase: "Welcome back, Emiya family!" And her impatience was obvious by tapping her foot.

This person was already forty years old while still looking like she was only thirty. Her short brown hair stood on end due to the stress that this endless wait was causing her. And neither of the other two people dared to say anything to calm her down.

However, one of them couldn't hide how uncomfortable he was with her screams and exaggerated actions. "My God, can you be more annoying, Fujimura?" These words came from the one to her right, a young man with blue hair and eyes. Who wore a white T-shirt and blue jeans, looking like he had picked the first piece of cloth before coming here. "People are looking at us because of your fuss."

"I'm bored! Wasn't their plane supposed to arrive a long time ago?" The question was directed to the person on her left, a woman with violet hair and a gentle smile, wearing a white dress and a black coat.

"Calm down, sensei. I'm sure they'll appear at any second."

Meanwhile, the one complaining wore nothing more than a cyan jacket and a yellow shirt with black stripes. Still looking well-groomed for the arrival of the Emiya family. Today was the first time the whole family would come to Japan since their daughter was born. So Taiga Fujimura, Shirou Emiya's former teacher, and guardian, called Shinji and Sakura Matou, both great friends of the redhead and his fiancee.

Well, at least Sakura was, besides apparently being Rin's sister too, and that's something Taiga still didn't quite understand. Shinji, on the other hand, had a very troubled relationship with Rin, but Taiga decided to call him anyway considering how much he had changed in the past fifteen years.

And a good thing she did because he was the one to notice the family's arrival. "Hey, look, it's them." The two women looked in the direction the man pointed and saw the three Emiya family members arriving with their bags in hand.

Shirou wore his usual outfit. A white T-shirt, loose brown pants, and a green coat. Rin had a black dress with high-heeled boots along her iconic red coat. And finally, there was the little Aoi, wearing a frilly blue sundress, with the same hue of her eyes, holding her parents' hands so she wouldn't get lost.

"Finally!" Taiga shouted, scaring the two Matou family members and running towards the couple at full speed. There wasn't time to react when the woman grabbed the child and lifted her high into the sky. "Here is my little angel! We finally meet face to face! It's truly a blessing to be alive to see you!"

"Mommy! A crazy woman is holding me!" The five-year-old girl shouted, struggling to free herself from Taiga's grasp. Speaking of her, the poor woman felt her heart break hearing the little girl calling her like that while Rin took her.

"Don't worry, dear. This is Taiga, we told you about her. And as you can see, she didn't change a bit." The black-haired woman said while Taiga had a regretful look on her face. It was like a child who had been scolded by her parents.

"It's okay, Taiga, Aoi just wasn't expecting it."

"Honestly, what child would be expecting such a sudden action from a stranger?" Shinji mocked the woman, shaking his head as he approached the group, with Rin already frowning at the sight of the man. "How are you, Emiya?"

"Very well, Shinji. And you?"

"You know how it is. The same. Work never ends." The two exchanged a small smile as if they knew what the routine of a hard worker was like. However, Shirou did it out of pleasure, while Shinji only had a job out of obligation.

And while the two had their moment, Rin took the opportunity to approach Sakura, with Aoi still in her arms. "Aoi, this is your aunt, Sakura."

"H-hello." Despite her growth in self-esteem and confidence, Sakura felt nervous meeting her niece for the first time, even more so with those big blue eyes looking her up and down.

"Wow... my aunt is beautiful!" She said, without a second thought.

And her expression, along the way she said it, left both sisters' hearts melting because of the cuteness. Rin ended up handing Aoi over to Shirou. Feeling her legs weak in the face of so much cuteness.

"She's so cute, sister! I think I'm going to faint!" Sakura whispered, with her hands on her face.

"Me too, Sakura! I feel so bad that you didn't follow her growth, but don't worry, I have everything recorded, and you can watch it today!" A hug was exchanged between the two sisters, both over heels because of the little girl's cuteness.

"Thank you so much, sister! Thank you very much." A tear almost came out of her eye, feeling that she could finally see all the moments she missed.

"How dramatic…" Shinji just rolled his eyes, running his hand through his seaweed hair and looking at the girl. Who had a sour expression, it was as if she had drunk lemon juice without sugar. "... what?"

"You seem like a real jerk." The comment made Rin, Sakura, and Taiga laugh like crazy, while Shinji clicked his tongue, and Shirou seemed a little surprised by how direct his daughter was.

"Aoi! You can't say that to someone without getting to know them first!"

"I'm sorry, Dad. But he looks like a jerk. He has this slovenly lazy look."

"Haha, he sure is lazy. About that, you're right, Aoi!" Taiga commented, poking Shinji's face, which contorted in fury.

"And the crazy woman looks like a total beast." This left the woman's head hanging down, while the blue-haired man took revenge by giving her a mocking smile.

"Aoi, don't speak your mind so deliberately, please. After all, regardless of what you think, they are part of our family." Shirou said this with a smile, which cheered up both targets of Aoi's responses, even though Shinji tried not to show too much that he was happy about it.

"I see… I'm sorry." Aoi said, and Taiga completely forgot about this situation, holding her again and hugging her tightly.

"It's okay, my angel! I'm just happy that you're here and I can meet you! We'll do so many things together! I'll take you to see all of Fuyuki! But first, we need to pick up my son from school. Don't worry, you're going to like him!"

"Speaking of, how is yours, Shinji?" The redhead looked at the blue one, curious, and the man shrugged, not looking enthusiastic about talking about his son.

"You know how young kids are. They are constantly getting into trouble and skipping school. So I need to go there almost every day to solve the problems he gets into."

"I already told you, you should sit down and talk to him, Shinji." Sakura said, and her voice alone made the man tremble, he even seemed afraid to respond with sarcasm or mockery.

"Y-y-yes, Sakura, I'll do it. It's just... I'm so busy."

"And tell me, did he take after his father's flaws?" Rin asked, who didn't know much about Shinji's son other than his name, Daisuke.

"Unfortunately, he has many of his flaws." Sakura sighed heavily, with a hand on her face, while the boy's father just looked away.

"Anyway, is everyone ready to go? We don't want to waste sunlight!" Taiga said, excited and lifting the girl again, with her looking slightly uncomfortable with all the attention. "Shirou, you go in Shinji's car, we girls go in our car!"

Taiga wasted no time, running towards the car with the child in her hands, who appeared to ask for help with her gaze. Meanwhile, the parents watched this with sweat drop running down their foreheads.

"My God, how does someone who is forty have so much energy?" The eldest of the Matou house grumbled. "I bet she took all the energy out of her son. Because Rantaro isn't like her at all."

"Yeah, I remember he was quite shy, right?" Shirou remembered that the child, unlike Aoi, had a slower development. Not to mention how much of an introvert he was from the beginning, preferring to stay in his corner rather than interact with other children. And he could also remember how much he would cry because of anything.

"Yes, I think his only friend is Daisuke." Sakura commented thoughtfully. "I suggested he join the archery club, but he ended up just cleaning there."

"Yeah, it even reminds me of Emiya, but without the desire to do anything or half as much effort." Shinji laughed as he remembered how lazy Taiga's son was, only to be elbowed in the side by Sakura.

"Still, he tries, despite achieving average results. It also doesn't help how energetic Fujimura-sensei is." The redhead sighed at Sakura's remark, remembering well what it was like growing up with Taiga.

"Speaking of Taiga, let's go before she comes looking for us." Rin said, with everyone nodding and walking out of the airport.

They put the baggage in Taiga's car, much larger than Shinji's, and the two cars followed each other towards Fuyuki. They would probably arrive in time when classes ended to pick up the two boys, if not earlier.

There were people the couple wanted to see again and show their hometown to their daughter. These would be days full of old memories to remember and new ones to create.

And during the trip, Shinji broke the silence in his car, where it was just him and Shirou.

"So, how have things been at the Clock Tower?" Despite not being a magus, Shinji knew almost everything he could about the world hidden behind the wall, which was his inability to use magecraft.

"Dunno, I left it after Aoi was born, and Rin works there now as a teacher."

"Wow, I feel sorry for her students." The two shared a brief laugh, both knew how difficult and demanding Rin Tohsaka was. "It's been fifteen years since you've both left."

"Indeed. The time flies." Shirou was able to notice the certain tension that Shinji felt upon hearing those words.

"I don't know. Sometimes, it feels like time hasn't passed." Even more so because he had a boring and hardworking routine without any luxury, but the redhead thought that was the best thing that could have happened to Shinji. It made him grow.

"Come one, your son is already fifteen years old. I bet you feel like an old man by now."

"Don't even get me started, Emiya. I have back pain after work, and Ayako never misses the chance to call me when Daisuke does something at school." Shinji grumbled, and despite having a huge frown, his friend could tell that the blue-haired man liked this routine. Even if he wanted more.

"Speaking of Ayako, wouldn't you two..."

"Nope, don't even imagine something like that, Emiya. I would never stay with that woman. I mean, have you seen her room? It looks like the room of a hikikomori."

At that exact moment, Shirou showed a pretentious smile that, if Rin saw him, she would think Archer was in front of her. "And how do you know what her room looks like?" And that was when Shinji realized the mistake in his words, turning pale. Still, he maintained the wheel steady, with the silence lasting for a long time.

Until the blue-haired man finally admits it. "Look, it was just once, and we had gone out drinking. You know that I'm weak with drinks, and then Ayako took me to her house because it was closer. I slept on the couch, no big deal."

"Come on, Shinji, do you think I'll buy that?" The other man's face was already crimson. "Man, I'm not going to judge. I think it would be great if you and Ayako were a couple."

"I... I don't know if that would be a good idea. What would happen if we got married? Or were we going to live together? We probably couldn't stand each other. Not to mention, I don't even know if I deserve it." Of course, Shinji wasn't talking about his actions during the war but rather what happened before it.

"You... did horrible things, Shinji. There's no way to say otherwise. But I think life has punished you enough, and the fact that you understand what you did and have changed is enough for you to move on with your life." After all, if even Sakura managed to move on and forgive him, he had no right to complain.

"I know, I know. Damn, Emiya, you're just arrived, and you already want to turn my life upside down." The man snorted, running his hand over his face in frustration.

"I'm just trying to help. Anything, just ask."

Silence reigned in their car once again, with both men oblivious to what was happening in the car where the girls were.

"So, Aoi-chan, what do you like to do in your free time?" Taiga asked, who seemed to be playing twenty questions since the girl got into the car, but she was running out of questions, and even the girl didn't want to answer.

"I watch television, draw, and practice magecraft." Rin and Sakura almost jumped out of their seats upon hearing this, giving the redhead a signal not to talk about these things in front of Taiga.

"Magecraft? Like a magical girl?" The older one thought it was some game that the younger one liked to play, not even noticing the apologetic look that Aoi gave her mother and aunt for saying that.

"Yeah, something like that. But I'm already quite grown up for dumb games! I do crossword puzzles and help mom whenever at work."

"Awww, so cute."

"What she means is that she follows me to work, even when I tell her not to." Rin said, looking at Aoi, who whistled as she looked away.

"Wait, seriously?" Sakura asked, surprised. "I thought you were more perceptive than that, sister."

"Say what?! She's the one who follows me, and I'm in the wrong?!"

"Of course! Parents always need to pay attention to their children." Rin wouldn't accept such advice from Taiga, someone who hadn't changed since Rin was her student. Of course, as a mother, Taiga did give the love any child could want from a parent, but it was undeniable that she was not an example of a responsible adult.

"I'm not even going to answer that, Taiga."

Sakura and Aoi giggled while the driver had a mischievous smirk on her face as if she had won one of many verbal battles with the child's mother, even though she didn't even try to argue back.

It would be a long trip till they arrive at Fuyuki, and Rin prefered to have some peace.

A/N: That's about it! Also one commented if I would make something Shirou x Saber related, since it's the only Fate/Stay Night pair I didn't make a story for, and gotta say I did think of it while thinking of this fanfic and my other of Fate. And maybe I have something in the workings, I'll just need to put all the ideas together. So look forward to it! lol
