Chapter 59
It was halfway through January. Tsunade hated the fact that she had heard nothing about Kakashi, Izumi and Sasuke. It was driving Naruto and Sakura crazy, and a crazy Naruto was the biggest pain in her ass. She had sent Naruto on countless missions after Jiraiya, Kiba, Naruto and Sakura had invaded one of Orochimaru's old bases in a desperate bid to see if Orochimaru had hired the Omega Hunter's to kidnap Sasuke back in October, but there had been nothing apart from a nasty run in Orochimaru and Kabuto. And fake ones at that. Now Orochimaru probably knew that Sasuke, Kakashi and Izumi were missing from the Leaf village.
By the Sage, Kakashi was due to give birth in a week and they had no idea where he was, if he was safe, and even if he and the baby were still alive. The thought broke her heart, but with all the stress Kakashi must have been going through could have gotten either one of them, or both of them, killed. And who knows what had happened to both Izumi and Sasuke Uchiha. Both of them were Omegas, extremely rare Omegas. They must have been long since sold by now.
Tsunade gritted her teeth and clenched her fists at the thought.
Naruto was due to leave for his training, but he didn't want to leave until they finally found Kakashi, Sasuke and Izumi. Tsunade didn't blame him. But he had to go for his own good.
It wasn't only Naruto and Sakura going crazy either. Guy had been sobbing at her door nearly every day, and she swore Tenzo had been reading every single one of her reports for information about Kakashi. Actually, it might have been all his team at this point. Team Ro had been sneaking in and out of her office far too many times for comfort.
Shizune shrieked. That made Tsunade pause, because what the hell was she screaming about now? Tsunade was doing her paperwork. Sort of? The door burst open, and Shizune looked panicked.
"I-I" Shizune stammered, casting shocked looks back behind her. "Lady Tsunade-"
"What the hell are you stammering about, Shizune?" Tsunade got up from her chair, frowning, then froze.
Sasuke Uchiha stood behind Izumi with two suitcases in tow, like he had just come back from a holiday rather than a kidnapping situation. Izumi Uchiha carried another two, while Kakashi Hatake waddled behind them.
"Hello!" Kakashi greeted them cheerfully. "I finally convinced Mr. Kidnapper to let us go."
Tsunade stared, slack jawed. Izumi sighed, shaking her head.
"I told you we should have had Mr. Kidnapper send us to your estate first," Izumi complained. "We could have put the suitcases away."
"We would have been ambushed by Team Ro and Guy no doubt the moment we stepped foot in there," Kakashi replied. "And I wanted to report first."
"Of course you did," Sasuke scoffed.
"Report? Like you just came back from a mission? You're what? Thirty-nine weeks pregnant?" Izumi scowled. "I also hate to remind you, Kakashi, but we were kidnapped by Omega Hunters, then kidnapped again by Mr. Kidnapper. And why can't we come up with a new name for this guy? It's a pain in the ass."
"You lost track of that point there," Sasuke sighed.
"Either way! It's not exactly a report," Izumi huffed.
"I need a report!" Tsunade yelled, storming up to their side. "I have quite a lot of questions!"
"And we have answers," Kakashi said cheerfully.
"Get inside my office right now and sit down!" Tsunade cried. "I need to give you a check up."
She ushered them all inside, then choked at the familiar orange masked kidnapper sitting in her seat.
"The Hokage's seat isn't very comfortable at all," Mr. Kidnapper drawled. "A little dented too. How many times have you thrown it out the window?"
"Get out of my chair!" Tsunade bristled.
"I had Kakashi's medical notes to deliver." Mr. Kidnapper tossed a folder on to her desk with a loud 'plop'. "And a warning. I've only brought him back because he said he'd only trust you to help him deliver the baby. I want Kakashi to be as comfortable as possible, so I allowed this."
"Not without a lot of nagging," Kakashi grumbled, pretty much collapsing into the couch. Izumi helped stable him so he didn't fall over sideways.
Tsunade grimaced as Mr. Kidnapper stood up, an angry scent leaking from him, clouding the room aggressively. He headed over to Kakashi's side, making sure he was upright, and it took everything in Tsunade's power to not try get in the way. She didn't like this Alpha. He was invading her space. He had kidnapped her own. He was dangerous.
But he could take Kakashi away again in a blink of an eye.
"I swear if he gets hurt, or kidnapped, or does anything other than resting I will take him again and nobody will ever see him," Mr. Kidnapper growled. "No missions. No straining activities. Nothing but resting."
"You're being too fussy," Kakashi complained.
"Your opinion doesn't count. You keep getting kidnapped." Mr. Kidnapper didn't even look at Kakashi.
"Quite a few of those have been by you," Kakashi grumbled.
"I will be watching," Mr. Kidnapper said coldly. "Kakashi, stay safe, or else."
Kakashi rolled his eye. "Yes, you'll kidnap me and I'll never be seen again."
"You're lucky I'm busy," Mr. Kidnapper huffed.
"And that Izumi figured out how to get the chakra bracelets off," Kakashi sang teasingly.
Mr. Kidnapper pointed at her. "Keep him safe."
Then he disappeared in a swirl. Tsunade stared blankly at the space Mr. Kidnapper had just been in while Shizune whined.
"Mr. Kidnapper has been awfully busy lately, so he's had less time to spend around me, and now that Izumi knows how to get the chakra restraints off he's finally listened to my nagging and let us return home," Kakashi explained cheerfully.
"It took bloody ages to figure those things out!" Izumi complained.
Tsunade rubbed her forehead. "I need you all to start from the beginning."
"It's quite a long story, but sure," Izumi said. "Guess we should begin."
.::.
Sasuke watched Tsunade's face get paler and paler as Izumi and Kakashi explained the events of the past few months to her. To their first kidnapping by the Omega Hunters, and to everything they faced with them, although Sasuke knew that each of them had left out more private, darker moments. Izumi didn't delve into what had happened to her in her cell, nor Kakashi his. And Sasuke didn't bring up the curse mark and Orochimaru, or at least what Ishidate had said about it.
There would be time for that later.
"Also," Izumi said, her face darkening. "We need to have a long fucking talk about Sasuke's curse mark-"
Shit. Okay, Sasuke wasn't bringing it up. Izumi was.
"That bastard Omega Hunter said anyone bitten this early on in their life have been completely obedient to their 'bonded', which is disgusting by the way, 'bonded' like they choose it. What the fuck?" Izumi hissed. "I'm going to beat the shit out of Orochimaru, I swear to Kami!"
Lady Tsunade paled. "Then Sasuke hasn't been the only case?" Her face hardened as she turned to him. "I promise you, Sasuke, I will do whatever I can to fix this. I'm the world's best healer, so I will be working on this personally."
"I'm going to do my best to see if any of my seals can help," Kakashi said. "Hopefully before the little one comes out, but I doubt I will find anything that easily."
"And if there is a way to kill Orochimaru, I want to be apart of it," Izumi said, growling lowly. "I'll tear out his spine and beat him to death with it." She scowled. "I need to get stronger. So does Sasuke, so we'll be training extra hard too. Right, kiddo?"
Sasuke nodded.
"Go team," Kakashi cheered tiredly, waving his fist.
Izumi sighed. "Okay, okay, all you've wanted is a slice of strawberry cake all this time, right?"
"Please!" Kakashi said desperately.
Lady Tsunade smiled. "Well you're in luck. A certain bodyguard of mine went to get you some the moment you finished telling us what happened."
An ANBU in a cat mask jumped in through the window. Kakashi let out a delighted cry, reaching for the box in the ANBU's hand.
"Cat, I love you!" Kakashi cried, beaming. Although it was harder to see with the mask on now, but his eye was sparkling so much that it looked like stars.
"I'm glad to see you too, Kakashi," ANBU Cat greeted warmly, handing him the box, and a fork, then setting down a cup holder full of teas and coffees. ANBU Cat handed them out, giving both Kakashi and Sasuke a cup of tea, along with Shizune. "And I'm glad you're all safe. Guess I can thank Mr. Kidnapper for something finally."
Kakashi was munching away at the cake happily.
"Yeah," Izumi agreed. "Although it was a hassle to get him to let us go."
"At least he did so in the end, because we were having a difficult time finding any of you," Lady Tsunade admitted. "We only managed to find out what it was Omega Hunters who had taken you, and we had no idea where they were."
"Now we certainly do," Izumi grumbled.
"Yet they were destroyed by Mr. Kidnapper," Sasuke said. "Kakashi killed two of them, and Mr. Kidnapper took the last one."
Izumi smirked. "I wish I had gotten to see what he did to Ishidate."
Kakashi grimaced. "I'm glad we didn't."
"I'm with Izumi on this one," ANBU Cat admitted. "By the way, Kakashi, you know you're going to be harassed soon, right?"
"I'm surprised Guy isn't here yet to be honest," Kakashi chuckled. "But yes, there are a few people I'd like to see soon, including my hounds. However I have no chakra left to summon them."
"Thankfully my panthers are off to deliver a message," Izumi said. "They were very happy to see us."
"Before you start seeing anyone I want to get a proper scan of you done at the hospital," Lady Tsunade insisted.
Kakashi sighed. "Fine..."
"Don't huff. I need to update your medical files anyway," Lady Tsunade scolded. "Besides, most of the genin just returned from helping out the Sand. Naruto of course got injured so he's in the hospital. You can reunite with him after your exam." She eyed Sasuke and Izumi. "All of your exams."
Izumi winced. "I'm fine-"
"I will have ANBU Cat drag you in," Lady Tsunade growled.
"Okay, maybe not fine," Izumi laughed nervously.
