Chapter 18:

Lloyd watched as Striker led him through the dungeons, and out the door. The smell of fresh air filled his nose and he sighed with joy.

"I'm guessing they didn't let you outside?"

"No…not once." He spun around laughed.

"This just feels so good! I'm free! I'm free!" He bent down and smelt the roses, touched the grass and stared at the bark of the trees. Beautiful, simply beautiful.

Lloyd laughed again and hugged Striker.

"Thank you…"

"Jay, are you listening?" Asked Cole, knocking me in the ribs.

"Yes!" I hiss, rubbing them gently. Cole rolls his eyes and looks back to the map Callista gave him. It's been a long day of walking and I certainly don't need Coles idiotic behaviour on my back. I can't wait to leave again and take Nya around the world. This trip was already turning out to be a bust.

"She said that the River goes directly into the sea, so if we don't find Lloyd here that we should be able to find him near the docks, or at least some trace of him." Cole says.

"Hmm. If Lloyd was to leave a message or at least a clue for someone to find he would do it very wisely." Garmadon comments, scratching his chin.

"Totally. He was the responsible one in the group… I wonder what he's like now." I mumbled, poking the fire.

"However Lloyd may be something else, someone else, he will still be Lloyd. Get some sleep, we need to set off at dawn." Replies Zane.

"Finally!" I blurt, getting up. "Were you guys always this slow or what?"

"Seriously Jay? We're doing all the work. You're the one being grumpy."

"Oh heck off." I growl, getting into my sleeping bag.

Coles POV.

I get up and look around, trying to adjust to the darkness. I pat the ground, feeling around for my headband.

"To your left." Says a gruff voice from the shadows. "You humans are pretty terrible in the dark." I grab my headband and tie it around my head.

"Morning Mr Garmadon. What time is it?" I mumble, blinking rapidly.

"Morning Master of Earth, it is 4:56 currently."

"Thanks." I run my eyes and stand up, finally adjusting to the light.

"You can sleep for 4 more minutes."

"Nah," I start stretched. "Not worth it."

Garmadon rolls his eyes and grabs his katana from beside the tree.

"Let's go, I need to find my son."

"Right," I mumble, "I'll wake up Jay."

The sun beats down on us as we follow the river. I'm hot, bothered and tired, and Jay seems to be even more of a pain.

"Wow is that-" He starts.

"Jay I swear to the FSM, if you say another sarcastic quote I kill you." I threaten

"No, is that the docks? Did Sora say that the river leads into the sea?"

"No she didn't." Zane tells us. The docks are so big and open, with many piers and boats out on the Crystal blue sea. The amount of people there was kinda overwhelming, but I shook it off and jogged.

"Race you there!"
