Cassidy got into a stance, arched her back, and pushed her arms forward. The glitching rabbit had materialized into a larger construct, resembling a giant purple glowing rabbit, made from those digital blocks that were all over the hallways. She used her powers to hold the digital monster back. Afton, who was beside her, was freaking out because he didn't know what to do.

"Cassidy, what should I do?!" He yelled.

Cassidy tried to focus all her strength to take out the problem they had, but with Afton screaming in her ear, made it hard for her to concentrate. "Just shut up!" She grunted as she applied more force to keep the glitch rabbit from attacking them. She made another shove, and the rabbit slammed into the wall, and all of the digital blocks exploded.

"Ahh!" Afton yelled, as he ducked down, once he saw all the blocks flying. Thankfully, none of the blocks hit any of them. Cassidy just stood there, not celebrating just yet. She sensed it wasn't over.

"Is it over?" Afton asked.

Cassidy was about to answer him, but one of the red digital blocks fell from the ceiling, and slammed into Afton's head, that resulted in him dropping to the ground. "Ouch!" Afton cried out, and he got knocked out.

Cassidy gasped at it since it was sudden. Then she facepalmed with a sigh. "Oh great..." She said. She knew she needed Afton, so she didn't want him hurt... only for that reason. "I have to drag him somewhere safe..." She mumbled. "I know that glitch rabbit isn't dead, I can't let it hurt Afton when he's what's needed to stop this cult," She hovered down to Afton's foot, grabbed it, and started to drag him away. "I'll just throw him over here," She wasn't being careful, and chucked the knocked-out Afton at the wall.

As soon as she did that, the blocks then started to hover, all around her. She quickly turned around to see it trying to materialize into the rabbit again.

She had to fight it again, so she got back in her stance.

The enemy lunged at her, she jumped out of the way. The blocks scattered. She balled her fists and looked behind her. She saw that the rabbit had fallen to the ground, and was trying to get back up. The digital blocks were starting to swarm again, trying to build back up. Cassidy took this chance, to do a shove with her powers, but she was weakened, and couldn't do enough. She was annoyed at all of this, then she decided to take it on by herself, with no powers. But then she noticed she couldn't touch it with her body at all.

The second her spirit body came in contact with it, she felt pain flash throughout herself. So when it made another jump attack at her, she realized she had to jump out of the way.

"I can't take this on," she mumbled to herself as she backed away from the digital creature. Her eyes darted over to Afton who was still knocked out. She was wondering if she needed him or not, but then, she saw that the creature had diverted its attention to her old, and current enemy. Cassidy's eyes widened, she was about to attack it, but she didn't get to it in time. It leaped at Afton.

"Oh crap!" Cassidy yelled out.

But, there was an explosion of light, Cassidy ducked down as the creature got sent flying into the air. She looked up, blinking at what just happened. The digital mess got badly hurt from getting near Afton.

That's when Cassidy realized this was Afton's time to shine. This is what he needed to do to put an end to it all.

She had to wake him up, but she had to do it quickly. She got off the floor and ran over to Afton. "Wake up!" She yelled. But he didn't open his eyes. "Open your eyes, you dummy!" She yelled, shaking Afton's body.

Cassidy heard a noise from behind her, she gasped, and looked behind her, and saw the digital rabbit getting up off the floor. It made a loud cry and started to charge at Cassidy.

Cassidy felt scared, but then she remembered what happened when it touched Afton.

She took a deep breath, and stood in place, allowing the creature to get closer. Just when it got close, she jumped out of the way, allowing it to slam into Afton again.

The same thing happened, the creature got blasted back.

Cassidy saw that this plan was working. She didn't know how or why, but this thing was going down. She just had to keep her guard up to make sure this didn't fail. She went to stand in front of Afton again. But then she heard a voice. She looked behind herself and saw that he was waking up.

"The bloody shit happened...?" He mumbled, with a groan.

Cassidy gasped because the creature was just about ready to do another attack, and if Afton was awake to see this thing charge at him, he wouldn't stand still.

"Afton, I need you to do me a favor..." Cassidy said.

"Huh?" Afton said, rubbing his head. "Okay, what is it?"

"Don't move," Cassidy said as she stepped to the side.

Afton watched her move away with an arched eyebrow, but then saw the digital rabbit running full speed toward him.

He blinked, his brain couldn't process what he was looking at for a moment.

"What the HELL IS THAT?!" Afton yelled. He froze, not knowing where to run, but then by the time he could make his brain start-up, the creature slammed into him, and Afton got slammed into the wall.

"Ow!" Afton yelled out.

"Quick, Afton! Touch it!" Cassidy yelled.

Afton groaned in pain as he moved from the wall. "Ouch... what? What do you mean to tou-"

"JUST DO IT!" Cassidy screamed.

Afton quickly reached forward and grabbed the side of the glitching, digital rabbit.

It screamed and tried to get out Afton's grasp. That's when Afton figured out he was hurting it. Afton narrowed his eyes, then took his other hand, and grabbed into it. The rabbit tried to get out of Afton's grasp, but it couldn't leave it.

"Hold it there!" Cassidy yelled.

"What do you think I'm trying to do?!" Afton yelled back as he now tried to shove the rabbit into the wall after it was trying to leave his hands. "Stay put you bloody thing," Afton grunted as he shoved its head into the wall.

Suddenly, the creature went limp. Afton gasped as he let go, as it fell to the ground. Its glitching body warped, and it disappeared. The glowing purple hue was brightening up the area around them, but now since it had disappeared, they were shrouded in darkness.

"Oh bloody hell..." Afton said, shaking his head.

Afton blinked, then turned his head to Cassidy. "Is... Is it gone?"

"Maybe," Cassidy spoke. "But something is still here, lurking in the darkness," She said, scanning her surroundings.

Afton looked, but it was hard to see. "What? I don't see anyt-,"

Cassidy flew up to Afton's face. "Shhh!" She shushed him loudly. "Something is nearby..."

Afton went quiet, and once no sound was heard, there was a slight metallic clang coming from down the hallway that connected to this large room. Cassidy drifted along the wall and told Afton to stay behind her.

They stood in the hallway, facing down the long shaft in front of themselves. At first, nothing happened. It was silent, nothing was making a sound. "Nothing is going on-," Afton said, since he did not hear anything.

"Shh!" Cassidy shushed him.

Afton shut up, thinking that Cassidy was going mad, since he still didn't hear anything. It was dead silent, up until that point. There was a wet-sounding sloshing coming from in front of them. Blinking, Afton's eyes widen. "W-What is that?" He asked.

Cassidy got ready, to fight whatever was going to emerge from the darkness, then...

What came out was a giant blob of wires, slithering on the ground. A giant mass of wires and busted-up animatronic parts. With a head of what seemed to be an animatronic bear with pink paint, that has been noticeably scratched off. Its eyes glowed white, and you could hear multiple sounds of children's voices coming from inside it. They all sound in pain, or angry. Possibly both. They weren't happy. It looked at both Cassidy and Afton, and its head started to slightly glitch out.

Cassidy let out a breath. She knew it was them. They weren't happy to see Afton, nor her.

"Run," She said.

Afton's eyes darted down to her. "W-What?"

"I said RUN!" She flew up, then dashed past Afton in the air.

Afton yelled out a startled gasp as Cassidy's ghostly figure zipped by him, he looked back at the blob of wires, noticing that its eyes glowed red. Before Afton could react, it yelled out a garbled and angry roar. That... was what made him react.

"Ahh!" He yelled out, then got up himself, and tried to run away, like how Cassidy did, but since he wasn't used to being a spirit, he crashed into the wall. "AHH! Fucken' 'ell!" Afton screamed out.

After Afton regained his senses, he tried to take off again, the blob of wires was near him, and catching up quickly. "Wait up!" He yelled out to Cassidy, but then he realized Cassidy was gone. She clearly didn't give a crap about him. So, Afon took off running down the hallway, the angred robot filled with spirits, chased after him, as it made sounds of shrieks. Which, just made Afton try to run faster.

He wasn't running, more like gliding over the ground. His legs were trying to touch the ground, but it was very difficult to run. "Come on! Touch the ground!" Afton yelled at himself. It was like a dream- You try to run, you feel yourself running fast, but you're actually going very slow.

Afton looked behind himself as he was trying to get away, the blob of wires was still behind him. "Ah!" Afton yelled. "Ah shite-!" But Afton got abruptly cut off, due to him slamming into something. "OWWOFF!" Afton grunted as he felt the force slammed into his front. He got blasted back and dropped onto the ground.

Afton groaned, he slowly opened his eyes, and in his dizzy vision, he saw someone looming over him. "H-Huh?" Afton's senses regained, and he saw a shadowy figure with a bright glowing light in the middle of it's chest, that was in the shape of a D.

"Well, well, well, if it isn't the man behind the slaughter," It said.

Afton gasped, and then instinctively scurried back. "What in the hell?!" Afton yelled out. "W-What are you?!" Afton's chest would have been pounding if he wasn't a spirit. Something didn't look right with what he was seeing, and his mind started racing to think that this one another soul, or a demon to finally put an end to him.

Sounding scared, and horrified: "I-I'm sorry... I didn't mean to do anything that I did in the past!" He yelled out to the shadow figure. "Whatever happened to you, I'm sorry! Just don't kill me! ... Well... I am already dead... but please don't hurt me! Please!" Afton pleaded.

The dark figure had glowing eyes, you could just about see its mouth, and its teeth were also glowing. Its lips curled to seemingly show that it was smirking at him. "You don't know me, you don't know me at all," It spoke. It came closer to Afton, by hovering into the air and zooming up to Afton's face.

"I want something from you," It spoke sternly.

Afton gasped and backed up again. "W-What?" Afton's eyes widen. "What do you need?!"

The figure stared at him, then, it spoke, "Where is the Remnant?" It asked. Afton stayed silent for a little while.

"The... R-Remnant?" Afton asked, his mind racing with many thoughts.

"Yes!" The dark figure yelled with a demonic-sounding growl. "Where is it?!" It yelled.

Afton screamed and tried to back away more, but then he felt a weird static in his mind. Something told him to turn around slightly. He turned his neck, then his back, and viewed behind him and saw the blob of wires just behind him, with the Funtime Freddy mask looking down at him.

Afton felt another sense of fear again.

He noticed that there were dark flames on the animatronic. After seeing that, his eyes darted back to the front of him and saw the darkness shining on the figure more intensely.

"I control everything here..." The figure spoke. Its arms rose up, and the ground started to glitch with numbers. Instinctively, Afton flew up into the air from this chaos that was happening. "W-What is this?!" He yelled out once he saw the numbers were mostly 0s, and 1s in a vertical line.

"Tell me where you store the Remnant! Or I'm gonna annihilate your entire dimension!" The figure yelled.

Afton stayed floating in the air, he didn't know what was going on. This didn't seem normal, not even real. He also doesn't know where the Remnant... or the physical Remnant could be. It could be destroyed for all he knows.

"I don't know where it is! The lab can be well non-existent for all I know, and I don't know where to get any at the moment!"

The figure narrowed his eyes and stared right into Afton's exposed soul. "This you die along with this world,"

"What-?" Before Afton could have another word come out of his mouth, or have another thought, he felt a hurtful surge go through his body. "AHHH!" Afton screamed out. His ghostly body felt like it was burning, as he saw the same 0s and 1s floating in around in his vision. He grabbed onto his head, as he could see the figure just looming over him as this was happening he could bearly speak now, he was getting weak.

Suddenly... Afton then dropped to the ground. The pain slightly stopped. Opening his eyes, he could see ghostly legs. Looking up, he saw that it was Cassidy.

"C-Cassidy..." Afton said weakly.

"Stand behind me," Cassidy said calmly.

Afton tried to get up, but he couldn't.

She saw this, but the figure was getting angry at her showing up. "Where did you come from?" It asked angrily.

Cassidy's eyes narrowed at it. "It's you," She said to it. "We've come across each other before..."

"Leave," She said with a dark tone. "Never come back here, and stand in the way of what I need to do,"

The dark figure rose its arms, and a powerful force blew out from the figure. Cassidy did the same, and the blast reversed and slammed back into the dark figure. It got blasted back and slammed onto the floor.

Then, she heard a yell behind her.

She saw the blob of wires. The darkness that was on it, that Afton saw, wasn't on it anymore. And it was back under its own control. "Come on Afton! Let's get out of here," She flew down to Afton, grabbed his arm and dragged him away.
