"Ananias," Lumaria called, causing the red clad trickster sitting on the ground and panting from the Sheperd's previous battle to look over his shoulder at her as she did. She smiled down at him and offered him a much needed cup of water. "You looked thirsty, so I went and got you a drink."

"Thanks," Ananias managed to heave out, gratefully taking the cup of water out of her hand and taking a long, refreshing sip of it. "Ah… I really needed that."

Lumaria chuckled good-naturedly as she stirred the drink in her hand a bit before saying, "I figured as much." She took a sip of her own drink. "You were really fighting hard out there today."

Ananias took another sip of his drink. "Really?" he asked. "I hadn't noticed."

Lumaria smiled earnestly. "That sounds just like you." She then looked down and gave him a concerned frown. "But don't make too much of a habit of it, okay?" she advised. "We don't want you overexerting yourself and then getting yourself killed out there. There are more worthwhile ways to do that."

Ananias considered what Lumaria had said for a moment before giving her an understanding nod. "Got it. I'll make sure to pace myself better from now on."

Lumaria chuckled as she smiled again. "I'll hold you to that."

"I'm sure you will."

The two were quiet for a moment, sipping their drinks as they stayed where they were, enjoying the relative peace and quiet of their surroundings for a bit before Lumaria asked, "So… why exactly were you so enthusiastic out there on the battlefield today, huh?" She smirked knowingly at him. "Did you finally meet somebody out there that was worth fighting for, or…?"

"What?" Ananias calmly asked, turning his head towards her as he did, the blank expression ever present on his face as it almost always did. "No, of course not. What made you think that?"

Lumaria good-naturedly shrugged. "Well, it had to be pretty serious, wouldn't it? Usually you're much more level-headed out there. You know your limits. Whatever's gotten you all fired up must be pretty big, right?"

Ananias sighed. "I guess." He then played with the remaining water in his drink a bit before finally answering, "I don't know. I guess I've just been feeling a little bit less useful than usual, yeah? Just thought I'd make up for my sudden slump, you know?"

"That's very considerate of you," Lumaria said, "but you already do plenty enough around here as it is. You could use a slump or two every now and again. Rejuvenation is important too, you know."

Ananias gave her a faraway stare for a moment before nodding his head and saying, "… Sure."

"Good." Lumaria then pointed an accusing finger at him and gave him a stern look. "And don't do that thing where you say you just happened to forget in the heat of the moment, alright? You can't fool me with that!"

"But I'm not trying to fool anyone," Ananias innocently argued. "I really do forget in the heat of the moment sometimes."

"Well then, remember harder this time around, alright?! Oh, and if you ever find yourself falling back into overexerting yourself on the battlefield too often, come see me, okay? You can't afford to make a habit out of it."

Ananias cocked his eyebrow in mild surprise at this. "Um, thank you?" He gave Lumaria a mildly funny look. "Is everything alright?" he asked.

Lumaria's eyes widened in surprise. "Huh?" She curiously tilted her head to the side. "What makes you say that?"

"Well, this whole overexerting-myself-thing… it's only happened once," Ananias pointed out. "You're acting awfully concerned over something that has only happened once so far."

"Ananias!" Lumaria scolded. "What's so bad about looking after a friend's well-being?"

"Nothing," Ananias answered calmly, raising his hands up in an attempt to calm the daughter of Khan Flavia down a bit. "It's just, this is barely a problem. You just seem to be a bit paranoid about me, that's all."

Lumaria let out a tiny gasp before bowing her head, shamefaced. "I… yeah, I guess you're right. Sorry. It's just, you look out for practically everyone else in the army, you know? I just figured that if you took care of everyone else, then I could at least return the favor by taking care of you a bit. But I guess I overdid it." She gave Ananias an embarrassed smile. "Sorry, Ananias."

Ananias' eyes widened slightly in mild surprise. "Oh, really?" he asked dully. He then looked forward at nothing in particular before looking back down at his cup of water, stirring it a bit in his hand, and saying, "Well, if that's how you feel, then who am I to stop you?" He looked up at her. "If that's what you want to do, then you go right on ahead."

"Huh?" Lumaria asked, eyes widening in surprise. "But I thought that you didn't want me to?"

"It's not that I didn't want you to," Ananias calmly clarified. "I just thought that you were making too big of a fuss over something that didn't seem too major. But now that I know exactly why you did it, I'm over it. It's not that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things."

"Y-Yeah, but doesn't it annoy you? I wouldn't want to do it if it does."

"Eh," Ananias replied, shrugging his shoulders in response. "A little nagging wouldn't hurt anyone. Heck, people nag because they care, right? So I'll just have to keep reminding myself that your constant nagging is a sign of how much you care about me. There, problem solved."

Lumaria stared at Ananias in awe for a moment before letting out an amused chuckle. "It's just like you to say and act something like that," she said. "You don't have to lie to me just to make me feel better, you know. I'd completely understand if you think that my constant worrying about you would get annoying after a while. I'll just stop and that'll be the end of it."

Ananias frowned. "But I'm not lying about being okay with it. I really AM okay with it."

Lumaria frowned disapprovingly. "And I'M okay with being told that this was a bad idea and that I should stop."

"Why are you being so paranoid about this? Since when have I ever lied about stuff like this?"

"Oh, don't think you can get away with that with me, buster! My mother didn't raise no fool!"

"Since when have I ever insulted your mother?"

Lumaria sighed. "That's not the point, Ananias!"

Author's Note: Flavia's OC daughter, Lumaria's first support with Ananias! I hope this gave you a good first impression about who she is as a character! If not, feel free to ask, and I'll try to make it a bit more clearer as the supports go on. Whelp, see you next time!
