"You!" Niles cried as he quickly walked his way towards the unsuspecting redhead.
Ananias turned toward him and raised his hand up to greet him. "Oh, hey Niles," he said innocently, "how are you to - " it was then that Niles grabbed him by his collar and yanked Ananias' face towards his as he seethed and gritted his teeth at him, "gah!"
"You little rat!" Niles cried, shaking Ananias back and forth as he did. "You pulled the same trick on me twice! And here you are trying to feign innocence just as you did before! How gullible and stupid do you think I am?!"
"I beg your pardon?" Ananias asked, wondering for the life of him what was going on.
"Oh, you will do no such thing!" Niles practically screamed. "Nor will I grant it to you until you finally tell me everything about your past, or so help me," he pulled out one of his arrows, "I will ram this arrow right into you!"
Ananias' eyes widened in horror. "You'll what?!"
Niles nodded sadistically. "That's right! I'll jam this arrow into you so hard that you will barely be able to even STAND once I am through with you! And if you still insist on not telling me, then I will keep ramming it into you, in and out, in and out, until you can't possibly take anymore and beg for the sweet feeling of release!"
"Oh no!" Ananias' eyes then widened upon having a sudden realization. "OH NO!" Seeing the confusion on Niles' face, he explained, "I JUST got it! Gods, man! What's with all of the double entendres?!"
Niles laughed maniacally. "So you finally figured it out, huh? Took you long enough! Yes, I just love double entendres! How can a sadist such as myself not? Whenever I see the look of discomfort on my victims' faces, it brings me such satisfaction and joy! I - " Niles' eyes widened upon realizing what Ananias had just done. "No. No! I refuse to let you change the topic on this conversation once again!"
"Well, it's not like I do it on purpose!"
"That may be, but nevertheless, I will not allow it to divert me away from learning about your past!" He then raised the arrow threateningly. "Now talk, or else you're going to get an arrow to the knee!"
"No!" Ananias pleaded. "I need that knee!"
"Then talk!" Niles demanded. "What is your past?"
"Like, since birth or what?"
"Since birth would be just fine, thank you very much!"
"Okay, alright! I was the son of a merchant family in an apocalyptic future where most everyone is dead!"
Niles blinked in confusion for a bit upon hearing this. "W-What?!"
"My family was very loving, but I always felt like I never truly fit in!"
"W-Wait, could you go back to the apocalyptic part?"
"The apocalypse got really bad!" Ananias explained without missing a beat. "It got so bad that me and my friends had to get help from a dragon goddess to go back in time to prevent it from happening!"
"A... dragon goddess, going back in time... what?" Niles asked, completely befuddled by what Ananias was saying to him. "You're not making any sense!"
"And to make a long story short, we eventually were able to prevent it like we wanted to, but the time travel was a one way trip, so we were forced to stay in the past and live alongside our newborn selves with our parents!"
Niles gave him an incredulously flabbergasted look. "I... wait, what?!"
"And, at first, it was all well and good, but then three of us went missing and everyone got really worried about them!"
"S-Slow down..."
"And so they wrote a bunch of letters to them and asked me to try and track them down!"
Niles' eyes widened in surprise. "W-Wait! Are you talking about Selena, Laslow, and Odin?"
Ananias quickly nodded. "Yeah! Except that their real names are actually Severa, Inigo, and Owain!"
"S-Severa, Indigo, and... what now?"
"They were summoned by this guy who they won't tell me the details about, but long story short, they're now retainers for the royalty of Nohr and are trying their best to end the conflict here once and for all!"
"What is this, a fairy tale all of a sudden?" Niles scoffed.
"And thanks to one of my aunts and the Outrealm Gates, I was eventually able to track them down and deliver their mail to them, but it's going to take a while for them to answer it all, so we just decided that I'll be a retainer until it's either all done or once this whole war is over with!" Ananias took a few deep breaths after finishing his tale. "And that's pretty much the gist of it, I swear!"
Niles gave him a skeptically confused look before releasing him, shaking his head, and muttering, "Gods... that has to be the most far fetched lie I have ever heard."
"B-But it isn't a lie!" Ananias insisted as he tenderly rubbed his neck. "It's true! All of it!"
"Oh, please!" Niles scoffed, rolling his eyes and giving Ananias a skeptical grimace. "Apocalyptic futures? Time travel? Interdimensional travel? Altruistic name-changing? What kind of fool do you take me for?!"
"The smart kind!"
"So you do think of me as a fool!"
"You told me to describe what type of fool you are! I classified you as the best type of fool somebody could possibly be!"
"Gah!" Niles cried, clutching his head in exasperation before taking a deep breath, shaking his head, and saying, "You know what? I give up."
Ananias' eyes widened in surprise. "Wait... what?"
Niles nodded dejectedly. "Yes, that's right. I give up. I concede. I am throwing the towel. You win." He walked up to Ananias and gave him a stern look. "In a way, I'm actually quite impressed. No one has broken me like this in quite some time. You have my respect. Though I must admit, your technique is a bit too pathetic for my taste," he then smirked, "but as long as we are both on the same side, I suppose I will have more than enough time to find an equivalent of it more suited to my... preferred tastes."
Ananias wearily sighed. "More double entendres."
Niles raised an eyebrow in amusement. "Oh? And are they making you feel uncomfortable?"
Ananias simply shook his head. "Why would it? It's just another gimmick that I've got to slog through."
Niles let out a dramatically hurt gasp. "Well, I never! To still insist on reducing my hobby and art to such a shameful term as 'gimmick'! You've offended me, good sir!"
"Well, you've been naughty, so..."
"Oh!" Niles said with an amused leer. "A challenge, is it?"
"If it makes you more obedient, then sure, why not? In all honesty, it's not that important in the grand scheme of things."
"Oh, quite the contrary, my friend. If you insist on challenging me on my turf, then I will have no choice but to retaliate with the utmost haste."
"As long as you're not doing your thing on other people, then so be it." He then crossed his arms, and added, "Or do you need me to keep hammering my point in?"
"Oh, behave!"
Author's Note: And there ends Niles' supports with Ananias. No S-Support between them unfortunately. It would just be weird if Niles were to S-Support with Corrin, but not any other male characters except Ananias, you know? Sorry about those who were hoping for one though. I hope that these supports were a good enough compensation for that though. Next supports will be Effie, followed by Female Corrin, Benny, Anna, Ophelia, Camilla, Gunther, Setsuna, Kanna, Selena, Beruka, Xander, Azura, Flora, Odin, Laslow, Rinkah, Arthur, Silas, and Leo. Got someone you want to support with Ananias? Request it. Remember, all Nohr first generation characters, Soliel, Ophelia, Anna, Kanna, Rinkah, Subaki, and Setsuna are allowed to support with him as well and it is a first come, first serve system.
