"Hey, Setsuna," Ananias greeted, cautiously watching as Setsuna, who was down on all fours, meticulously and, at the same time, somehow absentmindedly examined the ground before them, slowly patting her hand around certain spots of the ground as she did. "You looking for more traps again?"

Setsuna momentarily stopped what she was doing to look behind her and acknowledge Ananias' presence. "Oh! Hi, Ananias!" She then turned her attention back on the task at hand. "Yeah. Yesterday, Lady Hinoka got kind of mad at me over how many times I keep getting caught in traps, so she ordered me to spend all day today looking for all of the traps we have and to report back to her once I was done."

Ananias frowned and tilted his head incredulously. "That... doesn't sound like a very good plan on her part."

"Actually, when you really think about... it kind of is," Setsuna sincerely said.

Ananias raised an eyebrow in surprise. "Um... how?"

"Well, you see," Setsuna explained as she continued to search for any possible pitfalls in the ground, "if I know where all of the traps are, then maybe... I'll be able to avoid getting caught in them!"

"Um," Ananias shrugged, "I guess? But... don't you sometimes get caught in traps on purpose? How is knowing where all of the traps are going to prevent you from falling into them more?"

Setsuna took a moment to stop from searching to think it over before simply shrugging her shoulders and replying, "Well... most of the time, I DO genuinely fall into traps, so knowing will probably help. But then again... I'm not very good at remembering things, so... maybe not."

Ananias sighed and shook his head. Typical Setsuna. Though to be fair, it was not like he was all that different when it came to completing HIS assigned tasks. "So," he said as he crouched down beside her, careful not to fall into a trap himself, "how long have you been going at this?"

"Pretty long," Setsuna nonchalantly answered. "It's actually kind of amazing, really. Who knew we placed so many traps around here? Who do you think sets them all up?"

"I'm pretty sure that that's one of the many chores that we rotate around here."

"Oh?" Setsuna curiously tilted her head to the side. "Huh. That's funny. I don't ever remember setting up traps around here."

"Well, it's just like you said, right? You keep forgetting to do your chores and Lady Hinoka keeps doing them for you?"

"Ohhhh," Setsuna said, nodding her head understandingly. "Yeah. That makes sense."

Ananias once again sighed and bowed his head before shaking it and muttering, "What are we ever going to do with you? You can't keep relying on Lady Hinoka forever, you know? One of these days, you're going to have to do these types of things on your own."

"... Yeah, I guess," Setsuna admitted. "But... I'm pretty sure I could do it all by myself if I really wanted to, it's just..."

Ananias raised an eyebrow expectantly. "Just what?"

Setsuna sheepishly shrugged. "It'll just be... a bit lonely, is all."

Ananias let out a tiny gasp of surprise before looking forward at nothing in particular and muttering, "Lonely, huh?"

Setsuna nodded. "Yeah. And boring."

Ananias curiously looked back at her. "Boring?"

Setsuna nodded. "Yeah." She stretched her arms out over her head and yawned. "Chores... are so boring."

"Well, I mean, yeah," Ananias said as he awkwardly scratched the back of his head as he did. "But isn't that to be expected?"

Setsuna petulantly pouted. "Maybe," she admitted. "But, like... life in general is so boring, don't you think?"

Ananias blinked at her blankly for a moment before asking, "You mean, if we took out the fact that we're fighting in a great, big war at the moment?"

"Yeah!" Setsuna said, nodding her head excitedly as she did. "Like, if all we did was do what we needed to, then we wouldn't have any time to fall into any traps!"

Ananias' eyes widened incredulously. "Traps are... that much fun to you, huh?"

Setsuna simply nodded. "Yep. It's a real highlight of my day."

"I suppose falling into a trap would be pretty hard to forget about," Ananias admitted.

"It's always a memorable experience," Setsuna remarked. "But I guess I'll have to learn to stop once Lady Hinoka and I finally part. Which is sad, because sometimes, I catch Lady Hinoka doing my chores, and we end up doing them together. And that can get pretty fun too."

"Really? I never knew."

"Oh, you've got to try it sometimes, Ananias! Doing chores with others is way more fun than doing them by yourself!"

Ananias simply shrugged and looked away. "Maybe."

Setsuna looked at him curiously. "... Maybe?"

Ananias sighed. "I don't know, I just... I just like doing them myself, you know? I've just got less to worry about when I do them by myself."

"So... you're worried about other people doing them wrong?" Setsuna asked.

Ananias sheepishly shook his head. "No, I just... I don't like being reminded of how terrible I am at everything, so... I guess you can say that I'm afraid of getting... upstaged by other people when doing chores."

"Upstaged by other people when doing chores?" Setsuna repeated incredulously before letting out a small, poorly suppressed giggle. "That's funny."

"You mean, pathetic," Ananias quietly said.

Setsuna simply shrugged. "Maybe, but... no more pathetic than always getting caught in a trap, right?"

Ananias thought about it for a moment before chuckling, slowly nodding his head and saying, "Yeah, I guess you've got a point there." He looked back at Setsuna and looked thoughtfully at the calm and serene expression on her face, taking note of how naturally suited it was on her admittedly pretty face. It was as if nothing could ever truly trouble her, no matter how serious or dire the situation were to become. It oddly had a calming effect on him, one that he admittedly took notice of and immediately admired her for. She truly was a rare gem, wasn't she?

The two stared at each other for a long time before Ananias nervously asked, "Hey, Setsuna?"

"Yeah?" Setsuna asked, though as per usual, it didn't seem to be for the exact same reasons.

"Do you...," Ananias hesitated for a moment, "do you... want to get married?"

Setsuna blinked in mild confusion. "Huh?" That was weird. How did marriage somehow come up into this conversation?

"I.. I know it's kind of weird and kind of sudden," Ananias hastily explained, "but... you're one of the few people I don't feel too inferior to, you know? Like, you're one of the few people who I feel I don't have to earn a relationship with."

"Well, yeah," Setsuna said. "You're nice. And you don't ever seem to look down on me all that much either. I feel like... I can relax and be myself around you."

"Exactly!" Ananias said. "So, what do you say? You want to get married? I can help you with your chores and you can teach me how to have fun doing them, and then we could do that for the rest of our lives. What do you say?"

"Hmm," Setsuna said, holding her chin as she absentmindedly thought it over. "Could we still take the time to fall into a trap every once in a while?"

Ananias looked around them and asked, "Well, is there a trap near here?"

Setsuna nodded. "Yeah," she pointed at a spot besides them, "right there."

"How about we jump into that one then? Make this official?"

Setsuna giggled dreamily. "You make it sound like our wedding is going to be in a trap."

Ananias blushed as he awkwardly rubbed the back of his neck. "Um, yeah, I guess it does kind of sound that way, does it?"

Setsuna nodded. "A bit." She grabbed Ananias' hand, stood up, and said, "So... are we doing this, or what?"

Ananias' eyes widened in surprise. "Wait, does that mean you accept my proposal?" he excitedly asked as he stood up next to her.

Setsuna nodded and pointed at the trap they were planning to jump into. "Yeah... but only if we jump into that trap, like, right now."

"Alright then!" They walked up to the trap together. "One."

"Two."

"Three!" they both cried as they jumped into the pitfall together.

Ending: Ananias and Setsuna

Ananias continued with his humble life as a messenger almost immediately after the war had ended, his home being the only guaranteed place anyone looking for him could find him. Records show that his wife, Setsuna, stayed by his side and was a great source of support and joy.

Author's Note #1: And there ends Ananias' supports with Setsuna. I hope you liked them! The next supports after Setsuna will be Kanna, followed by Selena, Beruka, Xander, Azura, Flora, Odin, Laslow, Rinkah, Arthur, Silas, Leo, Keaton, and Subaki. Kanna's supports will be like Ophelia's and Soleil's, with Kanna being Odin, Laslow, or Selena's kid and Ananias being an honorary uncle to them. The supports will also be written as if Kanna is a boy, but will be generic enough to fit both genders. Got someone else you want to support with Ananias that isn't on this list yet? Request it. Remember, all Nohr first generation characters, Soliel, Ophelia, Anna, Kanna, Rinkah, Subaki, and Setsuna are allowed to support with him as well and it is a first come, first serve system.

Author's Note #2: The Fire Emblem Warriors poll is now officially up on my profile! Vote for which five characters you want for Ananias to support with from that game the most and, in the end, ten characters will be selected for Ananias to support with, so make your voices heard. Happy voting!
