"Ananias, can I, um, ask you a few questions?"
Ananias shrugged. "I mean, you can, but there's no guarantee that I'll be able to answer any of them."
Chrom chuckled. "Don't worry. I have a feeling you'll be able to answer these questions just fine. You see, it's about Lucina -"
Ananias raised his hand to silence him. "Yeah, no, I'm not doing this."
"B-but you didn't even let me finish!"
"Based on what Owain's told me, I think I've got a pretty good idea."
Chrom winced at the mention of his nephew's name. "O-oh. Really? And just what exactly did Owain say?"
"That you asked him a lot of questions about Lucina."
"Well, I mean, there's no real harm in that, right?"
"No, I suppose not. But asking what your relationship as a father and daughter was like? Yeah, probably not as harmless."
Chrom awkwardly chuckled. "He mentioned that too, huh?"
"Yeah, he did."
"Well, can you blame me? I have a daughter from the future! A future in which I've already apparently died!"
"Yeah, I get it, it's weird. But so what?"
"'So what'? I have a daughter who apparently knows everything about me, but I know nothing about her! What else am I supposed to do besides ask about her?"
"I don't know. Ask her yourself?"
"I could, but... wouldn't that be awkward for her?"
"Well, you can't ask me or Owain. She made us promise not to tell you anything."
Chrom's eyes widened in surprise. "What? She did?!"
Ananias nodded. "Yeah. When Owain told me about what happened between the two of you, Lucina was with me and heard the entire thing. And once Owain was done telling us what happened, she made us promise not to tell you anything about her."
Chrom groaned. "So the two of us are just going to have to build a relationship from the ground up?"
Ananias blinked in confusion. "What's wrong with that? From what I can tell, Lucina wants nothing more than to spend time with you."
"Well, because... I'm not him! I'm not her father. Or, at least, the father that she remembers. He and I are practically two different people!"
"I mean, from what I can tell, you're not that different."
"But what exactly IS different about me? Between now, to the day she's born, to the day that she lost me, that's a lot of time for someone to change, you know?" Chrom sighed. "I just don't want Lucina to get her hopes up about me. I want to be the father she clearly loves and misses... and lost."
Ananias pondered for a moment before replying, "I don't think you're giving Lucina enough credit on this one."
Chrom raised an eyebrow in surprise. "Huh? What do you mean?"
"From the moment Lucina got here, she knew and acknowledged that you and her father were two completely different people. I think that's one of the reasons why she wore a mask and hid her identity from you to begin with. She wanted to distance herself from you so that she would never make the mistake of thinking that you were what she wanted you to be." Ananias sadly sighed. "The truth is, we're just here to stop this timeline from going through what we went through. That's it. None of us expect to get back what we lost. I mean, just look at us! We're all fully grown now! Whatever time we wanted to get back with you is already gone. We're not getting that back, no matter what we do."
"But... she still treats me like I'm him."
Ananias simply shrugged. "Well, yeah, because you are. Like I said, you and him aren't really that different, and besides, a version of her father is here now, right in front of her. I doubt she'd pass that up just because of a few small differences or because the interactions with him could get a little bit too awkward."
Chrom smiled. "Heh. I guess after the life you've all lived, you've all learned to appreciate what you've got, huh?"
Ananias nodded. "Basically."
"Still, I want to be able to make it easy on her. On me! For both of us! Can't you at least tell me something, anything that I can use to do just that?"
"I already told you, Lucina made me and Owain promise not to tell you anything. Besides, we're not THAT close. I doubt I'd be able to tell you anything too specific or too interesting about her anyway."
"Oh, even better! Now if you tell me something about her, we can just say that you're just assuming!"
Ananias sighed. "I'm not doing this."
"Come on, Ananias! Please? You'd really be helping me out here!"
Ananias sighed. "I would if I could, but my hands are tied."
"Okay then, don't tell me things you know about her. Let's just talk and... speculate."
Ananias frowned. "Speculate?"
Chrom nodded. "Yeah. Let's just talk about Lucina in general."
"I don't know if I like where this conversation is going," Ananias murmured.
"So, boys. What type of boys do you think Lucina is into?"
Ananias' eyes widened in surprise. "A bit heavy-handed for the first question, don't you think? Besides, you just barely met her! How can you already be so interested in her dating life?"
"So... what you're saying is, she does have a dating life."
"No, she doesn't! She's too busy trying to save the world to have a dating life!"
"So if she wasn't too busy saving the world, then she WOULD have a dating life."
"I'm not saying that at all!"
"Okay, so, hypothetically, what kind of guys can you see Lucina with?"
"That's none of my business," Ananias firmly hissed.
"Okay, but like, who would you imagine her being attracted to? The tall, dark, and handsome type or the really social and funny type?"
"I repeat my previous statement. It's none of my business. And besides, I'm not exactly an expert on this type of stuff anyway."
"Okay, so, why don't we narrow it down then? If Owain wasn't her cousin, who would she rather date, him or you?"
"...I'm not answering this question," Ananias muttered.
"Okay, okay, fine. We'll change the subject."
"I think I should change my mind about talking with you from now on."

Author's Note #1: And with that, the Warrior supports have now officially been completed. From this point on, ten bonus chapters will slowly lead to the official end of this story. I will choose which stories they will be, but there's nothing wrong with giving me a few suggestions, if you have them.
Author's Note #2: I will now have a poll on my profile for the next character I will be focusing on. You can either choose between Lumaria (Flavia's daughter), Tan'bay (Say'ri's son), Zephyra (Emmeryn's daughter), Tenk (Tiki's son), or Lana (Ananias' daughter during the Fates chapters). You can choose your top two choices on this poll.
