Hey everyone! TheKingHHH100 here back with a new story! Today we're gonna explore another What If? scenario in WWE, this time a direction I felt they could've gone with after WrestleMania XL. This fic was inspired by a video from youtuber MurfsYT13 of the same name, but with my own twist and take on this scenario. If you like it and wanna see more fics like this one, please let me know by leaving a review, following and adding to favorites. As always, I hope you enjoy this fic.

Anyways, on to the story!

Our story begins the SmackDown after WrestleMania XL, with Roman Reigns coming out as always with his Wiseman Paul Heyman by his side, but there's something missing on The Tribal Chief's waist this time around, as he's lost his WWE Undisputed Universal Championship to Cody Rhodes. Reigns is here to address his loss, as well as the future of The Bloodline, and Heyman accompanies him to the ring as usual, but looking uncharacteristically upset.

The Tribal Chief seems to take note of this, as he stops his promo midway to address the issue. "There's no need to be upset, Paul. We had a legendary run. Both of us, a recently inducted Hall of Famer and an undisputed future one for sure. We smashed everyone, and we will be back on top" he assures.

Paul looks unfazed by this and merely responds, "Oh, I'm not upset about that. I'm just upset that it had to end like this…"

WHAM!

Just after Heyman finished saying this, Roman gets dropped with a chair shot to the back, courtesy of one…

"Oh my God! Is that Bron Breakker?" Corey Graves asks on commentary.

"It sure looks like him to me!" Wade Barrett nods right next to him.

Indeed, the former NXT Champion and second generation superstar stands in the middle of the ring, steel chair in hand as he uses it to beat down on The Tribal Chief, much to everyone's shock but Heyman's, who seems to be oddly enjoying this whole ordeal as he looks down at his now former client and says, "I'm not the Wiseman because I remember the past. I'm the Wiseman because I can see the future! And the future isn't with Roma Reigns anymore, it's with BRON BREAKKER!" he declares in trademark fashion, as Roman gets back on his feet, only to be taken down again by a Spear from Breakker.

"…And if you think that he's the only one, you're sadly mistaken. Because you see, this is no Bloodline. This is a Dangerous Alliance!" Heyman finishes saying as Bron stands right next to him, the two tall over Roman's prone body as the show goes off air, leaving everyone buzzing about what just transpired.

Paul Heyman is no longer Roman Reigns' Wiseman and instead he has a new client in the recently called-up SmackDown Superstar, Bron Breakker and, much like a former client of his, Heyman has declared that he's The Next Big Thing. And during the next few weeks, they set out to prove it as Breakker picks win after win, first over some 'local talent', then working his way up the ladder defeating the likes of Apollo Crews and Cameron Grimes in singles matches, and eventually landing a huge dominant victory over none other than former WWE Champion Rey Mysterio.

After this massive statement, Paul Heyman takes to the microphone to hype up Bron Breakker, like he's been doing after his matches, when they are suddenly interrupted by a man that is very familiar with Heyman and someone who feels like Breakker hasn't proven himself yet, Sami Zayn.

Sami takes to the ring and says, "You know, this is so typical of you, Paul. Always leeching off others, only attaching yourself to things that benefit you and only you. Well, if you think he is The Next Big Thing, let's find out. I wanna challenge your boy to-"

WHAM!

Sami is cut off mid challenge by a surprise Spear from Breakker, who doesn't take Zayn's words kindly, throwing him out of the ring and grabbing the steel steps before slamming Sami over the head with them, then setting for a powerbomb onto the steps. However, before Bron can proceed with his demolition of Sami, one of his friends comes out to the rescue in the form of Jey Uso.

Breakker lets go of Sami and comes face to face with Jey, only to be stopped by Heyman, who stares down at the younger Uso himself. Jey proceeds to glare right back at the manager, saying, "I'm not surprised either, Paul. You're a rat just like your boy over there," he points towards Bron, who has to be held back once again by Paul from throwing himself at Jey following the latter's words.

"You wanna do this or not? Let's go, big guy!" Jey provokes, however The Next Big Thing seems to be soothed down by his manager.

"Calm down, Bron. They're falling into our trap, just like we wanted" Heyman assures.

But Jey isn't having none of it. "You're gonna let him talk for ya? You know what? Forget it! Heyman, Sami's right, you only attach yourself to thing that benefit you."

"Probably explains why I never attached myself to you or Sami then" Heyman replies as Jey walks off, holding Breakker from going after him as he says, "It's alright, they're falling into our trap just like the rest will…"

It's a harsh barb from Heyman, and we follow the referees and medical personnel as they take Sami out of the arena following Breakker's devastating attack. It's latter report that Sami is out with an injury and will miss some weeks of action as a result.

All this however only incentives Jey Uso to challenge the new Paul Heyman guy once again, and with the WWE Draft having taken place recently, it is now SmackDown that is home to both competitors, with Jey coming out for a match against Santos Escobar the week after. And just when it looks like he's gonna pick up the huge win following a signature Uso Splash, WHAM! Bron Breakker comes out of nowhere with a Spear onto Jey.

Breakker stands over Jey as Heyman arrives soon after with a response, "We accept your challenge, Mr. Uso. But be warned, you're gonna feel the consequences of stepping up to the future when you face The Next Big Thing, Bron Breakker, in a big money match… at Money in the Bank!"
