I'm still alive! I'm so sorry for the massive wait for this chapter! Work was such a chaotic mess, and I was working so much overtime that I didn't really have the time or energy to write. Something always happens that results in me having to pick up the pieces. But thank you so much for your kind reviews in the meantime! I'm so happy that people are enjoying this story, because I sure enjoy writing it! Also, thank you so much for 100 followers on this story! Wowzers! Anyway, on with the next chapter at long last...
10: Unholy Bonds
Sir Integra stared down at the words below her, not truly reading them. The messy scrawl of her ancestor was almost indecipherable to anyone else, but Integra had spent many a year with his writings, especially once she had stumbled across Alucard in her basement. Her mind kept drifting elsewhere. To the huge revelation she experienced just a few hours ago. However, the information was so world-changing to her, that it almost felt like a lifetime ago. Everything suddenly made more yet less sense. The enigma now banished to the basement again consumed the forefront of her mind.
Taking another swig of whiskey, the Protestant knight turned to the next page in the hopes that something would jump out at her. But nothing ever did. She had read these notes a thousand times over; the notes of her zealous great-grandfather as he experimented on his newly acquired pet. The words were nothing of current significance. Integra must have read over the observations of the effects of holy water on Alucard a thousand times. The vampire had been drenched in it, submerged in it, and even forced to consume it. Every time his body would burn to an almost ash-like state before painfully and slowly regenerating, developing a tolerance over time. This didn't exactly help her in the here and now. Her current situation was completely unprecedented.
She crossed on leg over the other, pressing the rim of her whiskey glass against her lips while remaining deep in thought. Her ice blue eyes stared at the fire flickering in the fireplace, as if perhaps it was the window to all of the answers she required. She thought she knew Alucard, but every so often she was reminded she never truly did in a way that Integra could only describe as a punch in the face. It sent her mind spinning, making her have to re-think everything again from scratch. She had always prided herself on the fact that she seemed to have more control of the Hellsing family's ultimate weapon than her predecessors. Despite being a vampire, she had always respected him as her faithful servant. Dare she say it, she even cared about him to a certain degree. He had helped save her life as a child from her greedy uncle, and he had practically helped raise her to become the woman she was today. The thought of being brought up by Count Dracula was almost laughable, but there was no denying that he had taught her a lot of valuable skills.
So now, perhaps it was inevitable that this new information... stung.
Perhaps she didn't have as much control over Alucard as she once thought.
Glaring at the flames, Integra took another large gulp from her glass, the alcohol burning her throat as if the fire's tendrils had shot from the wooden logs and into her very mouth. But the burn could not distract her from the pain and turmoil of the here and now. With a sigh, Integra slammed the now empty glass back down on her desk and drew out a cigar instead. Her nerves cried out for the soothing effects of the smoke, and they didn't have to wait long as her lungs became filled after one large drag.
Integra had never felt so stupid. As the leader of Hellsing, she should have had more wits about her. She had been suspicious of Seras' arrival from the very start. To create a fledgling out of the blue was just... so unlike Alucard. The last person he had tried to turn was Wilhelmina Harker, and even then, Integra could plainly see the motivation behind it: because he could. He was sending a message to the hunters who were after him. It was all just one big game. A game in which he couldn't resist showing off, and his arrogance had ultimately been his downfall that Abraham had exploited. To create a fledgling was to create a link – a bond. A bond that, which Integra had learned from her ancestor's notes, was strong and incomprehensible to the human mind. Even someone with no knowledge of Alucard and vampirism would assume that the king of all that was unholy would not want to be linked and bound to just anyone. Especially while a prisoner of Hellsing. What had made Seras so special?
Now she knew. Or at least, she partly did.
A mate.
Integra flipped the word over in her mind as if examining an unknown relic. Such a term was not entirely unfamiliar to her. It was a basic natural term for a sexual or romantic partner. Animals in the wild had them, some not remaining together for long, while others mated for life. Even humans could technically be described as having mates, for after all, were they not creatures created by God as well? Adam and Eve had been instructed to mate and produce children, and they were all a product of that. But where did vampires fit into all of this?
The Hellsing leader had never delved too much into the personal lives of the monsters that it was her divine duty to hunt down. Why should she? They would be dead either way. And Alucard... he was nothing more than her family's slave... or so she had thought.
How did he even know that Seras was his mate? Did Seras know? Had the young blonde known all along? Had they been plotting and having an affair under Integra's very nose? What exactly did all of this mean? Was this all purely sexual? She knew that werewolves, much like their none-magical counterpart, had mates, particularly the alpha of the pack. She'd seen them only once before. When a werewolf pack had been stupid enough to cross the English Channel. If you wanted to defeat a pack of werewolves, a trusty silver bullet to the alpha pair was the best course of action. To simply kill the minions was useless; the alpha pair would just make more. To kill one alpha, was to disable the other. Aside from falling into a blood-thirsty rage, mated werewolves almost acted as if they were one in the same, so to remove one from this earth was to permanently injure the other.
Perhaps it worked the same way for vampires...
"You'll continue to damage your eyes if you keep reading in such low light," the chiding voice of her butler caused her posture to immediately straighten.
"Walter," Integra greeted as she pushed her glasses up and stubbed out her cigar in the ashtray.
The angel of death merely smiled in response as he placed a tray of tea and biscuits down on the desk. The sugar on the biscuits glittered in the light of the fire, and the sound of hot tea being poured into a teacup was soothing to Integra's ears. The scent of earl grey permeated the air, creating a more relaxing aura that was most welcome for the Protestant knight. She immediately took a sip upon Walter handing the cup over to her, and she could feel her tense muscles relax, if only just a little.
"Thank you, Walter," Integra sighed out, pushing the infuriating papers away from her. "How is Alucard?"
"Still sulking, ma'am." Walter's lips twitched upward slightly as he responded.
Integra placed her teacup down before folding her hands over her lap and gazing back into the fire, her icy eyes narrowing slightly. "Did you know?" she asked after a few moments of silence.
"No," Walter replied, a hand placed on his chest in earnest.
"That blasted vampire," Integra muttered under her breath before unlocking her hands and slamming them against the desk. "How dare he undermine me! How dare he presume to play these games with me?! His master!"
Walter sighed. "If I may, Sir, I've known Alucard for a very long time, and for once, I do not believe that this is a game to him."
Integra's eyes flickered towards the former vampire hunter.
Walter took this is his cue to continue. "He cares for Seras, and I personally don't think he would put her at risk by playing such games."
"How so?"
"I don't wish to presume, Sir, but if I was to guess based on my limited knowledge, perhaps Alucard is... well... scared."
Integra blinked. "Alucard? Scared?" She chuckled at the absurdity of such an idea.
Walter smiled. "He may be a powerful vampire, but even monsters fall victim to their emotions. If what Alucard says is true, and Seras is his mate, then perhaps he was scared that revealing the truth of the matter would place her in danger. I have noticed moments where he is rather protective of her, and at first, I thought it may have been the result of a fresh fledgling bond, but now in hindsight, it was perhaps the result of something deeper than that."
"So what am I to infer from all of this?" Integra replied with a slight frown. "That the great Count Dracula, the no-life king, is in love?"
The butler chuckled. "I'm not sure, Sir. I don't wish to pretend to understand the emotions of the unholy creatures of the night."
Integra began rubbing her temple. "Tell me, what do you know of vampires and their mating habits? These notes tell me nothing."
"That's because these were simply notes made on Alucard and not the vampire species as a whole," Walter explained. "Anything on vampire mates is probably somewhere deep within the archives as I doubt the Hellsing Organisation has ever had much use for them. After all, even Alucard admitted that it was a rare phenomena."
"Still, tell me anything that you know."
"Unfortunately I do not know much." Walter sighed as he adjusted his monocle. "During my time as a hunter, I only ever encountered one mated vampire pair, and I killed them much too quickly to garner any worthy information." He smirked.
Integra rolled her eyes, but also couldn't keep the smirk off her face from listening to her dear old friend's pride.
"Looking back though, it appears that mated vampires share a close bond, perhaps even closer than the one between master and fledgling. They moved in almost perfect sync. They were both each other's strength and weakness; an almost yin and yang-like relationship. Defeating one allowed for the easy defeat of the other, much like when that werewolf pack attempted to reach British shores."
"I remember the screaming and the howling." Integra almost shuddered at the memory. That had been her first real taste of a large scale battle as leader of the Hellsing Organisation. She had lost so many men that day. She had only been sixteen-years-old at the time, and the haunting memories had never left her. It was the first time she had truly seen Alucard in the heat of battle as well. The glee he derived from all of the blood and slaughter made her want to be sick. She had witnessed the true monster that night; though he may have been the weapon, Integra pulled the trigger. Integra wasn't sure she'd had a decent night's sleep since that dark epiphany.
"Yes." Walter's tone became more serious. "But vampire – true vampire – civilisation, is even more complex than that of werewolves. Werewolves are pure beast, while vampires are both man and beast combined. There's no telling just how alike the two of them are."
"And my father," Integra questioned, "he never revealed anything to you?"
"My dear, the late Arthur Hellsing was often much too preoccupied with drink and women to take an interest in vampire social studies." The butler smirked. "When not needed, Arthur would simply lock Alucard away, too intimidated to keep him around in the way in which you do."
Integra sighed and shook her head. "Yes, that does sound like him."
"If you'd like, I could search through the archives for you, ma'am?" The angel of death offered.
Integra shook her head. "There's no time. Our only option is to hear it straight from the horse's mouth."
"I see."
"I will speak with him alone," the knight announced as she stood from her leather chair and touched the cross that always dangled from her neck. She hoped that God would grant her the strength to persevere through this nightmare.
"Very well, Sir." Walter bowed before Integra, who, with a swish of her coat behind her, made her way out of the study.
The manor was dark and quiet, with most of her soldiers out searching for their rogue vampire and two little companions. It had been hours and she had heard nothing. She honestly thought the blonde vampire would have been found by now, and the longer she was away from Hellsing, the more it put Integra on edge. She was supposed to protect the people of England, and here she was, allowing a young vampire to run wild around the country. No doubt the members of the Round Table would have a field day about this. The knight could already feel the stress headache beginning to pound away.
The walk down to the basement levels of the manor no longer intimidated the Hellsing leader. She had made this trip a thousand times at this point. She was used to the dizzying sensation as reality seemed to warp around her. The atmosphere was always heavy and oppressive, but Integra remained tall and unaffected. Her footsteps began to echo as carpet transformed into stone, the area she was now in completely unrecognisable as a part of the manor of prestige and luxury she had walked through but a few moments ago.
Descending the stairs, as always, felt like an eternity had passed until reaching the bottom. The heavy metal doors of the dungeons loomed overhead, with nothing but silence echoing from the other end. Steeling her features, Integra approached the door painted with occult symbols. She peered through the bars of the door, hoping to catch a glimpse of the creature that lay within, however, she saw nothing but darkness.
Entering the room was like entering the pitch black void of space. The door screeched closed behind her, but still, Integra remained intimidated as she placed her hands in her pockets, leaning casually on one foot as she waited for something to happen. Obviously her vampire was in a melodramatic mood tonight. Like dealing with a petulant child, Integra would have normally ignored him, but there was a rather serious matter that needed attending to.
"Alucard," Integra sighed out her order, "your master wishes to speak with you."
Upon those words being spoken, the darkness appeared to retreat slightly. It was like the air and shadows around her were alive as they peeled themselves back and away from her. The glow of oil lamps on the walls provided the room with a limited source of light, just enough for human eyes to make out the room around them.
"To what do I owe the pleasure of such a visit, master," a voice from behind her poisonously purred. "Have you come to place me in the naughty corner again?"
Integra whipped around to glare at the monster lurking in the corner. Gone was his traditional attire of a black suit and red trench coat, replaced instead with the black leather straight jacket she had found him in all of those years ago. He was crouched down slightly, hunched over like a wild animal while his hair seemed to take on a life of its own. It grew to impossible lengths, each lock acting as an individual tentacle that filled the room and curled around each and every crevice. His glowing red eyes were the most startling of all. Despite his previous taunting, they held no amusement, only malice. This only served to prove Integra's theory that this perhaps went much deeper than she originally thought.
"Enough of the cheek, servant. You know very well why you are in here." Her voice remained steady, harsh, and full of authority.
Alucard's lips pulled back into a smirk, revealing shark-like fangs in their wake. "Ah yes, somehow you seemed to have figured out my little secret."
"Little secret?!" Integra had finally had enough and snapped. "You bring home a random girl and lie to me about her for months, only for me to find out that she's your so called 'mate', and that all of this time you have been going behind my back with this information! You told me the police girl had made the decision for herself! That her skills would be an asset to the organisation, but instead, we're babysitting a vampire who has little control over her thirst and refuses to accept what she is and drink blood! You put our secret organisation in jeopardy, and you put lives at risk by keeping her and lying about her!"
Alucard merely glared up at her as she ranted.
"You have deliberately disobeyed me, monster! Why did you not inform me of what you believed this girl was to you?!"
Alucard growled. "You never asked."
Integra wanted to scream and tear her own hair out. Damn Alucard and his loop-holes! How much else had he not told her, simply because 'she never asked'?! This vampire could honestly drive her to the brink of insanity most times. Of course she had never asked because she had never truly heard of such a thing! Alucard had still lied and manipulated her! She was the master, and he the servant! Ever since Seras showed up, Integra has been having to remind her servant more and more of his place. Perhaps if this was the trouble that Seras was going to continue to pose, maybe Integra should just call off the search. There was no way Seras would last long without being under the protection of Hellsing. It wouldn't be long before she fell victim to other vampires or vampire hunters. The police girl was weak and stupid. It would be so easy to just wash her hands of the girl. Not to mention, it would teach Alucard a lesson.
However, Integra's heart soon lurched at the thought. No. She wasn't that cruel. Despite everything, Integra did find the girl endearing, and, dare she say it, even liked her. Poor Seras was just scared and confused, no doubt. Integra couldn't – wouldn't – just abandon her. No matter how much it made sense to do so and no matter how much she wanted to punish Alucard, she just couldn't. Something told Integra that Seras was naïve about all of this that was going on, which just made her feel even more anger towards Alucard. Was she to be nothing more than his toy?
"Well, I'm asking you now, Alucard, and THIS IS AN ORDER!" the knight barked. "What is Seras Victoria to you?"
Alucard lowered himself even more to the ground, in some sort of tangled, deformed bow, before he hissed out his response with the same amount of venom as a cobra. "My mate."
Integra had to think very carefully about how she was going to approach this. She would have to word her questions carefully so that there was no getting around them.
"What is a mate to a vampire?"
The dark shadows curled even more around the room.
"Everything," came Alucard's simple, blunt answer.
Integra rolled her eyes. "Be more specific!"
"EVERYTHING!" the vampire suddenly roared out of nowhere, even startling Integra slightly, but she held her ground. Alucard's shape kept morphing and blurring, as if he was struggling to hold himself together. "WHERE IS SHE?! TELL ME WHERE SHE IS!"
"You do not give the orders, servant!" Integra yelled back. "You will answer my questions in full, and only then will you be allowed to know what has transpired in your absence."
Alucard growled, but otherwise backed himself more into the corner in submission. However, his lips soon twitched into a smirk as he watched his master. "Tell me master, how familiar are you with ancient mythology?"
Integra raised a delicate blonde eyebrow.
"More specifically, some of the legends of how humans came to be? Many ancient religions and cultures speak of it, and I believe the term you would be most familiar with is that of 'a soulmate.' Creatures who were once one, only to be split apart. Vampires and other creatures of the night can sense this. Seras was once a part of me; she still is a part of me; she is mine!"
"Is Seras aware of this?" Integra narrowed her eyes at all of this new information that was hard to believe. The teachings of the Bible had never mentioned such a thing. Then again, the thought did stir up a deep and long forgotten memory within her. A time back to when Integra was just a small child, and her mother had still been alive. When her father had taken a long trip to India to deal with a vampiric threat. Integra had been born during this trip, and for this short period of time, they had lived on the outskirts of Mumbai. Her mother would tell her stories. Stories that were a part of her own faith that she had grown up in. Stories of souls being destined to impact one another and keep crossing paths. Integra just wished that she could remember more detail.
"Yes and no," Alucard finally responded, his smirk falling again.
"What do you mean by this? And do not omit any details!"
Alucard growled. "Deep down, Seras knows, but she still clings to her human ways of thinking, so for now, she is not consciously aware."
"Did you know since the moment you met her?"
"Yes."
"Is that why you saved her and turned her into a vampire?"
"Yes."
Integra narrowed her eyes. "How do you know that she's your mate."
"That, my master, is difficult to explain. I just know. I sense it. I can smell it. I can feel it. She is my siren's call and I am drawn towards her."
Integra thought back to what Lily and Luna had said when everyone had doubted that Seras was their mother. The two girls had said something similar: they just knew. Obviously vampires had access to senses that humans did not possess. The knight had always been aware of this, but she had never truly realised how far these senses extended. Like a salmon always returning to the same river, and the butterfly that could always make the same migration journey, vampires could sense their closest kin. This was all becoming rather fascinating. How much more vampire knowledge had been lost such as this?
"So this goes beyond the animalistic sense of the term 'mate', correct?"
Alucard chuckled. "Why master, you wound me. Do you think of me as a mere animal purely desperate to stick my cock into the little police girl?"
Integra's cheeks flushed with rage and embarrassment.
"I suppose that it is partly the case," Alucard continued to laugh like a mad man, his eyes twinkling at his master's discomfort. "You have no idea how much self-control it takes to not bury myself between those thighs and ravish those tight virgin walls." He licked his lips with his serpent tongue.
"ENOUGH!" Integra bellowed. Her hand twitched to reach for her pistol, but she restrained herself. The vampire was just trying to get a rise out of her, she knew that. Tempting though it was, a bullet to the head would only serve to distract her from her interrogation. No doubt that was Alucard's plan. She took a deep breath to calm herself down. "You will not harm a hair on that girl's head," she finally added sternly.
"Harm my Seras? Never!" Alucard then smirked again. "Not unless she begs me for it."
"Stop these games, Alucard! You want to know where Seras is, yet all you're doing is stalling. What are you so afraid of me knowing, vampire?" Icy blue eyes narrowed. "Don't tell me that Walter was correct in his assumption..."
Alucard frowned, his eyes pools of heated magma. "And what would that assumption be, master?"
"That you're scared."
Alucard burst out laughing. "What do I have to fear, master? There is not a creature alive who could stand against me. Even Van Helsing himself could not kill me. Though I have longed for centuries to meet the human capable of doing so, I have not yet, nor do I fear them. In fact, I relish the thought of such a challenge!"
"Perhaps you do not fear for yourself," Integra noted, "but rather the police girl."
Alucard froze. That was all the confirmation that the Protestant knight needed, and a satisfied smirk tugged at the corner of her lips.
"Do you fear the emotional pain of losing her? Does the great no-life king finally have a weakness that has been exposed to the world? All of which in the form of a young, unsuspecting woman. Oh how the mighty have fallen," Integra couldn't help but goad him in revenge.
The wild vampire became even more menacing as his loud roar shook the entire manor. Integra could see it in his eyes: the urge to rip her to shreds. He had never looked at her that way before. And all because of what she had said about Seras. The only thing stopping him was the runes that bound him to her family. Her eyes widened, and she took an automatic step back as Alucard began thrashing around. It seemed that since he couldn't take his anger out on her, he would take it out on the room. His claws grew into thick talons that dug into the stone ground, leaving deep marks in their wake. His form became a shapeless black shadow as he continued to growl and snarl. One dark tendril reached out and hooked around the leg of a table. Within seconds, the table had been thrown across the room where it splintered into a thousand pieces.
"You do not know the dangerous ground you tread, Sir Integra Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing! These are matters that a human mind could never understand! Do not mock that which you know so little about. Seras is not my weakness, but my strength in this loathsome existence. She will soar above all others as the queen of the night – my queen," Alucard roared out. "She is the only creature worthy and deserving of immortality, and she is mine!"
"How barbaric," Integra sighed out as she pulled a spare cigar from her coat pocket. There was no way she was going to allow Alucard to behave like a caveman under her roof. Seras deserved so much better than that. Either Alucard was deluded, or there truly was some untapped potential within Seras that she would need to keep a close eye on. After all, Alucard did not simply just give these types of compliments to anyone – mate or no mate.
"Now I've answered your questions, my master; WHERE IS SHE!" The room shook again from Alucard's yelling.
Suddenly, the door once again creaked open behind them. The grim face of Walter appeared from behind the metal barrier, and he gave a quick bow, ignoring the vampire currently having a temper tantrum in the corner of the dungeon.
"If I may have a moment of your time, ma'am," Walter requested.
Integra took a drag from her cigar before following her butler out of the cell, Alucard still yelling and snarling incoherently behind her. She ignored him, closing the door to muffle his cries so that Walter could finally speak.
"We have a bit of a problem," the retainer began. "Our soldiers tracked the vehicle that Miss Victoria procured, and it has led to a dead end. I believe it was a trick, Sir. The car was found abandoned in Dover, only there were no signs of her crossing the channel. We were able to obtain CCTV footage of the area and it appears that Miss Victoria bordered a train not long after."
"And the twins?" Integra asked with a frown.
"Still with her, Sir," he replied. "We're in the process of trying to figure out exactly what train she boarded and where it was heading. Miss Victoria could be anywhere in the country by now."
"Damn it," Integra mumbled, clenching her hands into tight fists. She had underestimated the small vampire. This was going to be trickier than she thought. Despite being completely irrational when fleeing, it appeared that Seras was easily using her brain to stay hidden. Why couldn't the girl be this smart when she was sent on missions? But that disbelief would have to wait for now.
"It could take a while until we pick up her trail again, Sir. What would you like us to do?"
Blue eyes narrowed even more at such a question. There was only one quick alternative that Integra could think of, but was it the best course of action? The longer Seras was out there, the harder it would be to find her. That's if... something else doesn't find her first... Then there was the twins. They were completely innocent in all of this. They were far removed from their time and everything that they knew; that had to be even more scared than the police girl.
There was no other choice, the Hellsing leader thought as she glanced towards the door and the monster that was held inside. Walter immediately caught on and gave a small smirk before bowing.
"I understand, Sir."
"Inform the men to withdraw from the active search," Integra ordered as she dropped her cigar and stomped out the small flame. "But I still want them all on red alert and patrolling all areas of Britain. Should they see or hear anything usual, they are to report to headquarters at once. I want all airports and ports under heavy surveillance. Let's just hope that we can put a stop to this before the situation gets even worse."
"Very well, Sir." Walter quickly bowed and began heading back upstairs.
Meanwhile, Integra turned back towards the door and once again steeled her features. She barged back in, ignoring the dark looks that her pet vampire was sending her way. No doubt he would perk up once he heard about the mission that she had in store for him. But it seemed that the vampire had easily overheard most of their conversation. His red eyes shone with pride.
"Is my fledgling proving to be too much of a problem for the soldiers of Hellsing?"
"Shut up," Integra ordered. "Your orders are as follows: you are to find Seras and bring her back to Hellsing headquarters, am I understood?"
"Yes, my master." Alucard's voice trembled with excitement as he bowed even lower to the ground.
"There is one thing you should know, though, before you depart."
"Oh?" he purred. "And what might that be?"
"Seras is not alone."
Alucard narrowed his eyes.
"Two children are accompanying her: Lily and Luna." Integra tried to word her information carefully. "It appears that there has been an incident involving witchcraft and time travel."
The vampire before her looked like he was about to snap. She had a feeling that Alucard already knew where she was going with this. He'd been suspicious since Integra had brought up the subject of vampire offspring. She hated to drop the bombshell on him like this, but the knight was done with all the secrets. For the sake of the mission, and the safety of everyone involved, Alucard needed to know.
"We believe the children with her are her own and... yours... from the future. I thought it best to warn you now. We believe Seras fell victim to her instincts and that is why she ran away with them."
"WHAAAAAAAT?!"
Integra almost had to cover her ears from the loud bellow that echoed around the room. The Hellsing leader then let out a sudden cry as she felt a large hand grip the collar of her shirt. All she could see before her were glowing red eyes that were filled with nothing but evil contempt towards her. For the first time since she met him, Integra felt afraid. Her heartbeat quickened, and a thin layer of sweat appeared on her brow. She could feel her feet dangling in the air as the vampire kept her suspended, practically choking her. The runes on his gloves glowed, but they seemed to have no effect on the untamed vampire before her.
"HOW LONG?!" He shook her.
"Alucard! Drop me this instant!" Integra yelled, clawing at his wrist with both hands.
"HOW LONG HAVE YOU KNOWN?! HOW LONG HAS THIS BEEN KEPT FROM ME?!"
"T-two days..." the blonde woman finally managed to choke out as his grip around her neck tightened. She then gasped as she was dropped back down to the ground, with Alucard nothing more than a ghostly swirling mass of murderous rage around her.
"YOU FOOLISH WRENCH! I SHOULD BEEN HAVE TOLD RIGHT AWAY!"
Integra coughed. "We weren't sure if it was the truth!"
"YOUR MISCALCULATION SHALL NEVER BE FORGIVEN! WITHOUT BOTH PARENTS, VAMPIRE OFFSPRING CANNOT SURIVE! IF ANYTHING HAPPENS TO THEM, NO FORCE ON EARTH WILL BE ABLE TO STOP ME FROM REDUCING THE WORLD TO A PILE OF CORPSES AND RUBBLE!"
Before Integra could even ask Alucard what he had meant, he had disappeared.
Oh dear, Seras. Just how long will it be before Alucard catches her? I know a lot of you are super excited for that moment, and I promise that it will happen soon. As always, pretty please leave a review to let me know your thoughts. I'll try and update again soon, baring nothing else happens at work lol help. You guys take care out there, especially with this new virus mutation.
Announcement: I've done some sketches of Lily and Luna if anyone is interested. You can find them on my Twitter, on my blog, and on my DeviantArt.
