He woke up in his bed, like usual. He checked his phone, another missing kid. He didn't know how. He thought there must've just been multiple killers.
"Oi boss, another one." Burntrap opened his recharge station. He was greeted with Vanny covered in blood holding a corpse of a child.
"Good. One more. Then we can go for that boy that stays overnight. How convenient."
"Wouldn't it be easier to get the kid tonight, then get another child tomorrow and get it over and done with?"
"Vanny, that child is the spitting image of my son. If there was ever a child to replace him, it's that one."
She sighed. "What will you do with me once you have him back?"
"Nothing. You'll be free to go."
hearing those words, she didn't exactly know if she liked them or not. She liked the idea of being free, and escaping the clutches of burntrap, but she had also developed a raging bloodlust. She enjoyed killing, and didn't want to go without it.
"What will you do with him?"
"Love him, cherish him, care for him, protect him. Right the wrongs that Michael caused."
"Where will you go?"
"I'll stay here. Not many places I can go. Look at me. He, on the other hand can explore the world."
"But he's still human, despite having a different consciousness. He'll die if he doesn't get food or water."
"You do realise we are under a pizzeria."
"Good point." Vanny dropped the corpse, then left, having mixed emotions about the situation.
I still need to kill Freddy though. Maybe that will satisfy this beast that is growing inside of me. Maybe.
She walked up and out of the old pizzeria site, and into Roxy raceway. She had to be stealthy. She didn't think the tomato sauce excuse would work if she got caught.
The place was busy, despite closing time being an hour ago. Workers and builders littered the place, with construction equipment and heavy machinery whirring away causing a racket.
She darted from prop to prop, obstacle to obstacle, luckily not getting caught. She made it from the saloon to the hallway without being seen, an impressive feat of stealth.
Wonder when they'll finish construction. She thought. They've been at it for so long. Like 4 months. Surely their plans aren't that ambitious, right?
She exited out into the main atrium. She was lucky there were still a couple of hours until the changeover period, when there would be almost double the employees.
She made her way out the pizza Plex, no dramas. Meanwhile, Burntrap was extracting the remnant from the unfortunate child. Vanny didn't know how he got it, only that he somehow had managed to get it.
Cooper arrived at the pizza Plex, slightly early. he had nothing to do at home so he just figured he'd come early. Least there was stuff to do here. He sat down on a bench in the lobby and began filling out paperwork. Boring stuff.
When he was finished, he walked to the atrium to grab a drink. He got a milkshake and found a bench to sit on, and started monitoring the cameras from his watch.
Chica was jamming out, as usual. Freddy and Gergory were talking in his green room. And Roxy was in her recharge station.
Despite having been well-rested, Cooper still felt tired. He periodically checked through the cameras, finding nothing, and then went to looking at his phone. Soon enough, he began to feel drowsy and fell asleep on the table.
He soon woke to the sensation of being poked in his shoulder.
"Wake up sleepy-head." A familiar voice spoke. It was Roxy.
"Ughhh. Hello." Cooper woke slowly, and stretched whilst yawning loudly. He had bags under his eyes.
"Don't you get enough sleep at home?" Roxy asked.
Cooper yawned again. "No, I do, it's just, felt drowsy." He looked at his fazwatch. 1:30 am. "Oh, I was out for a while. Thanks for waking me." He began another sweep through the cameras.
"What brings you out here tonight, food?" He asked whilst flipping through cameras.
"No. I wanted to see you. I hadn't seen you in an hour and wanted to make sure you were OK." Roxy replied.
"Aww, how sweet." Cooper looked at her and gave her a smile. Roxy shied away, and then returned to look at him. If robots could blush.
"Anyways. What are we doing tonight?" Roxy asked, hoping he would have at least something planned. Tail wagging.
"No clue. My job I guess." Cooper was still tired, he still sounded it, but he was waking up, slowly but surely.
"You are so boring. Ooh! I have an idea!" Roxy said excitedly.
"We're not racing."
"Killjoy." She gave him a jab in the same shoulder she woke him up with.
"Ouch, you forget you're a robot." Cooper said, rubbing his shoulder.
"Oh, sorry, yeah I do sometimes." She replied apologetically.
"Speaking of racing, when does your track get finished? Do you know?" Cooper asked.
"Uhhh, actually yeah, they said it would be next Monday. They just have to wait for everything to set and clean up some stuff, and I think they were getting some more props and decorations too." She sounded really excited and her tail started wagging.
It was a Thursday night. So they had a bit of a wait.
"That's good. Are you excited about it?"
She looked him directly in the eyes. "Am I excited? Am I excited? I CAN'T WAIT!" That definitely woke Cooper up. She threw her hands in the air as she exclaimed the sentence.
"Yea, uhuh ok." He said whilst covering his ears.
"Well, I'll be looking forward to it. Can't wait to race you." She said happily.
"Anyways. Going back to my original question, what do you want to do?"
"Ppppbbbbttttt. Was thinking either visit Chica or Freddy, since I haven't really hung around them all that much."
Roxy was a little jealous at that comment, but she supposed it was fair. The two hadn't received as much attention as her and Monty.
"Can I come with you?" She asked.
"I don't see why not." Cooper replied.
"OK cool. So... Freddy or Chica first?" She asked.
"Freddy I think."
"Cool."
"Heh, speak of the devil." Roxy turned to where Cooper was looking and saw what he saw. Freddy and Gregory walking towards the two, with Freddy waving at them.
"Hey Freddy, hey Gregory." Cooper said. "We were just talking about you."
"What about me?" Freddy replied.
"How I want to spend more time with you."
"Oh. I'm flattered. Gregory and I were just on our way to Bonnie's bowls. Care to join?"
"Sure. Can Roxy come?"
"The more the merrier I suppose." Freddy replied.
The four made their way up to the highest balcony, where Bonnie's bowls were located.
They entered, and were led down a hallway that contained all sorts of bowling props and balls and pins, etc. If it was bowling related, it was probably here.
Bowling balls were kept behind glass casings, almost as a trophy of sorts. Neon signs and stars lined the walls only adding to the 80s theme.
The four made it through to the main bowling alley.
"Wow, this place is a lot bigger in person than on the cameras." Cooper said.
Freddy chuckled. "I will set up a game. You three can look around if you wish."
Gregory followed Freddy, as he walked over to a staff bot and arranged a game. "Your lane is lane four." The staff bot told him. "Bowling shoes are provided and are behind the counter. What is your size?" Freddy looked at Gregory. "Do you know?" He asked.
"No." Gregory replied.
Freddy turned his attention back to the staff bot. "Umm, I'll take a size seven." Freddy completely guessed. The staff bot turned behind him and pulled out a pair of dusty shoes, way too big for Gregory.
Freddy took the shoes and simply laid them out of sight from the staff bot.
"You should not need them Gregory. As long as you don't drop the ball on your toes, you'll be fine." He reassured the child. Gregory didn't care in the slightest.
Meanwhile, Cooper and Roxy were looking around. Roxy found an arcade just right to the entrance and began looking around. Every arcade machine required either an arcade pass or a gold coin. She wasn't too pleased with this, but kept looking at the cabinets nonetheless.
Cooper made his way to the small restaurant in the bowling alley, just left and in front of the entrance. He found a small stage area, with the curtains closed. A sign layout in front of the stage, it read: This attraction is temporarily closed. Please enjoy another attraction.
Freddy approached Cooper from behind, with Gregory on his tail.
"I do not come up here anymore. I miss him." His tone sounded sad and remorseful, even though he had not done anything wrong.
"What was he like?" Gregory asked.
"He was the nicest fellow. A heart of gold. He was an angel with the kids, a true entertainer. My best friend. But tragedies do happen."
"Sorry for your loss Freddy. If there's anything I can do for you-" Freddy cut Cooper off.
"You do not need to be sorry, It was not your fault. I feel as though I am darkening the mood. Come, let us bowl!" He tried to cheer himself up, but Cooper and Gregory could still feel he was somewhat sad.
The four regrouped at lane four, and began bowling. Freddy was first, followed by Gregory, then Cooper, then Roxy. They all chose their ball from the rack. Freddy chose the heaviest ball, while Gregory chose the lightest one.
Freddy went up to the lane and bowled, knocking down 6 pins. He went again to try and get a spare, but only hit one more. Cooper and Roxy sat down and waited for their turn, whilst Freddy was explaining bowling and the basics of it to Gregory.
"Yes, so just stand behind the dotted line and hold your ball like this..."
"This?"
"No no, these fingers go here..." Freddy was adjusting Gregory's grip for what seemed like an eternity, until finally, he walked to the lane and swung.
Strike. All pins were knocked down.
"Way to go superstar!" Freddy exclaimed as he hi-fived Gregory. "I knew you could do it!"
"You teach better than you play Freddy," Roxy said.
Freddy looked at her and replied. "Beginner's luck. And haven't bowled for as long as I can remember."
Cooper chuckled as he got up from his seat and walked down the lane to bowl. The ball hit the two pins at the very left which caused a chain reaction and gave him a total of eight pins knocked down.
He got another ball and went for a spare. He knocked one pin down.
"Damn." He said to himself. He sat back down and began flicking through the cameras.
Roxy walked up to the lane, no run-up, and stood there a moment before releasing the ball. The ball went straight, with no bend or curve to be detected in its motion for miles, before impacting the first pin directly. The domino effect created by its movement, sent all the other nine pins to be knocked over. Strike.
"Haha! I'm the best!" She exclaimed as she threw her fist in the air. She then turned to Gregory and motioned a high five, which he obliged.
"Strike gang!" She told him as they high fived.
Freddy sat speechless, just gently clapping for her, same with Cooper.
"Good luck beating that one Fred." Cooper commented. "Where'd that come from?"
"I told you, I'm the best." She boasted whilst pointing to herself, almost in a sassy way.
"Go Freddy, beat Roxy!" Gregory told him.
"No pressure." He sarcastically replied. He got his ball and waited for the pins to be replaced. He walked up slowly to the lane this time and he let the ball go gently. The ball went a little too far to the right. Still, he managed to knock eight down.
He got another ball and employed the same strategy. He knocked the remaining two pins down and earned himself a spare.
Gregory was next, he walked up to the lane fast and... A little too much spin. The ball veered off course and ended up in the gutter.
"Unlucky superstar. When you let go of the ball, try not to...". Freddy began educating Gregory on what he did wrong. Gregory felt as though he was being lectured.
He was talking for a while, and Cooper was thirsty.
"Hey, I'm going to go get a drink. Gregory, want anything?" He asked.
"Uhhhhhh... A fizzyfaz!" He said happily.
Cooper began to walk off when he heard Roxy clear her throat.
"Hrrrmm Hrmmm. Aren't you going to ask me and Freddy if we wanted anything?" She told him, annoyed.
"You're robots. It would probably damage you, rather than do you any good." He replied.
"It's the thought that counts." She told him.
He sighed. "Roxy, Freddy, would you like a drink?" Cooper said annoyed.
"Thank you for asking nightguard, but no thanks." Replied Roxy in a condescending tone. She looked at him.
Cooper stood in place and tilted his head whilst he looked at her, confused.
"No thank you night guard." Replied Freddy, still helping Gregory.
He got his and Gregory's drink and headed back to the group, where Gregory had already bowled and it was his turn. He handed Gregory his drink, then put his own down and picked up his ball. He walked up to the lane and let go. The ball made a deafening thud as it hit the ground and travelled towards its designated target.
The impact was strong, but not fast. But it was enough to earn Cooper a strike. The others applauded him, and he was offered a high five by Roxy, which he agreed to.
He sat back down and closed his eyes whilst Roxy bowled. He was still tired but he didn't think he'd fall asleep.
Roxy ended up bowling 5 pins, with a further 3 on her second turn. Not too bad.
She took a seat next to the night guard and shuffled towards him.
"Are you awake?" She whispered into his ear, rather seductively.
Hearing this, the night guard chuckled and replied, "Yes." whilst opening his eyes.
"Good." She replied. She gave him a quick peck on the cheek. He smiled and started to blush. Roxy layed her head on his shoulder similar to last night.
Freddy had just bowled and scored a strike. Gregory, Cooper and Roxy applauded, head still on his shoulder. It was Gregory's turn.
Freddy looked at the two on the couch. He said nothing, but he smiled and thought that they looked cute. Cooper checked his fazwatch, it was 3:30 am. 2 and a half hours to go.
Gregory bowled and knocked down 4 pins. On his second bowl he knocked down 6 pins.
"Excellent spare Gregory!" Freddy told him. Gregory looked at Freddy. And gave him a thumbs up. He also saw Roxy laying her head on Cooper's shoulder.
"Furry." He told Cooper.
Freddy hadn't heard what Gregory said.
Cooper simply looked at him, his eyes appearing dead, then looked at Freddy, then looked back at Gregory. He mouthed to him, 'He's your dad.' Gregory seemed to have understood what he meant by that, and then kept his mouth shut. Savage.
Roxy moved her head when Cooper left the couch to bowl, with Cooper getting 9 pins knocked down, but missing his spare. He returned to the couch and traded places with Roxy.
She bowled, only knocked down 3 pins this time, but redeemed herself with her second shot, having knocked 7 earning herself a spare. She returned to the couch and resumed her position. Cooper began petting her fur like last night. A few hours later, their game was done.
The scores were as follows;
Freddy: 124
Roxy: 118
Cooper: 117
Gregory: 99
Despite Gregory being a literal child, having never played bowling before, and versing an adult and two animatronics, He still did very well.
Freddy was proud of his win, mostly because it stopped Roxy from bragging to him for the rest of the week if she did win.
Roxy was annoyed she didn't win, having the scores so close together only amplifying her frustration.
Cooper didn't really care, he just wanted to have fun with his friends, which he felt like he accomplished.
Gregory was sad he finished last, but learned to accept it when Freddy had told him 'somebody has to finish last, and you were versing an adult and two animatronics' for the hundredth time.
The four walked out of Bonnie's bowls, With Freddy and Gregory leaving to go to Freddy's room, and Cooper and Roxy going to the lobby, after Cooper had checked the time, only to be greeted with 5:56 am. They hugged each other and left.
