He entered cautiously. He looked around cautiously. He breathed cautiously. Maybe not that last one, but the point was he was being careful and vigilant. Cooper supposed it would've been a good idea to ask where Monty was, but then again he figured he'd hear the bot's heavy footsteps as they screeched and scraped like a knife on a ceramic plate as they moved towards him. Monty golf obviously.

The question remained, should he stay with Monty the whole night to make sure he was OK, and not damaging anything or anyone, or should he visit the others, make sure they are all right? He didn't really know.

He checked the cameras, and through the static and haze could make out the emerald green gator at Monty golf. He squinted as he narrowed in on a point in the cameras. Hole 8 he thought he saw. Cooper imagined it would be a smart idea to check up on everyone, make sure that they were all okay before he singled out Monty.

He speed-walked towards Rockstar Row, hoping that the other animatronics were there, yet kind of hoping they were not. He felt anxious as he travelled through the large atrium, he felt as though something bad would happen. The air felt a chillingly cool temperature and he felt small draught creep around the plaza.

He made his way through the left hallway and was greeted with Freddy's room, it being first. He walked up to the metal door and knocked. He waited a couple seconds, they were tense for some reason. Eventually he realised that he would get no response, so moved to the next room down, Roxanne Wolf's.

He knocked on her door, the same three knocks he had always done. He wasn't really surprised when the door opened. Roxy looked at him and waved. Cooper stood at the doorway examining her for any abnormal behaviour, twitching, weird stutters, any seizing up, all that kind of stuff. He must've been acting weird to her he figured, when Roxy asked of he was OK. He replied he was fine.

He walked into her room onto her couch before telling her what the mechanics had told him.

"There is always something wrong with that damn alligator. He's always trying to kill us, wether he means it or not. Its less scary and more annoying at this point honestly." Roxy told the guard with folded arms and a little bit of an attitude.

"You seem fine. That's good to know. I just want to know if its only Monty or if its maybe Chica and Freddy as well."

"They seemed alright during the day. Not sure how much that correlates over to the night though." Roxy got up from the couch and put her ear to the wall opposite her door. "I can't hear any guitar or yelling, so they're probably out and about somewhere."

She sat back down and sighed. "I was looking forward to racing you today, or tonight rather, but I guess that'll have to wait. Again." She slouched down the couch and looked towards her roof.

"Mmm. Ashame." Cooper spoke wgilst staring blankly infront of him. He said it genuinely, but it came across as sarcastic. Roxy knew he meant it though.

Cooper rested his head on her shoulders as he began to check the cameras. Roxy loosened up and began to relax a little, not that she was already tense. He located Chica inside of the lobby, just roaming around for whatever reason.

"Does Chica usually just chill in the lobby?" He asked with traces of concern and confusion.

"Not that I know of, no. I don't think so."

"Huh." He kept searching through the cameras, until suddenly, he saw something that peaked his interest, He jumped up off of the couch and Roxy's shoulder, and sprinted for the door without saying anything to the wolf. Roxy held a hand out to him in protest, but by then he was already gone. "Fine. I didn't want to go with you anyways to wherever you were going."

He ran as fast as a cheetah, for a small child in the distance was counting on him.

A few minutes earlier.

"You promised!" Gregory told him with a dissapointed and frustrated voice.

"I know. I am sorry superstar, but I do not have access to an arcade pass. I would have thought to have found one by now."

"What do you mean 'found one?'"

"Well... You see, people are incredibly forgetful, and clumsy. they will drop just about anything and leave anything lying around. I can't tell you how many arcade passes I've found by simply wandering around the pizza Plex just after hours."

"Isn't that stealing?" They made eye contact with each other. Freddy then made a beeping sound with his mouth.

"Oh, my apologies, eh heh heh... I need to recharge. be safe Gregory." Freddy's voice shook a bit. He sounded nervous as he walked away in a hurry leaving the youngster by his lonesome.

Gregory looked at Freddy with a displeased face. Safe to say he wasn't buying it. He let it slide though, as to not make things more awkward. He looked away from the direction Freddy was going and rolled his eyes.

He sat just before an escalator and began to mess around with his fazwatch, hoping to find something entertaining to do. The cool temperatures and atmosphere acted like a lullaby for the boy. it coddled him, making him feel drousy. His eylids hung over his eyes, they were begging to be let down, and his breathing slowed slightly.

Clunk Clunk Clunk Clunk Clunk Clunk. The sound of heavy animatronic footsteps approached the boy, waking him up and kicking his senses into high gear. He jolted up from his slouched position, and made the grave mistake of assuming the footsteps were Freddy's.

He looked up, and to his horror, Monty was barreling up the escalator towards him. He could tell the gator wasn't approaching him politely or with good intentions, so he bolted down the escalator just next to Monty's. The two crossed each other and as they did, it felt like time had slowed down, Gregory saw Monty's mad expression, his red glowing eyes could be seen through his glasses, and his teethed somehow seemed more sharp and menacing than all the previous encounters they had had.The chase was on, and Monty was not letting up.

Present Time.

Cooper bolted in hopes of getting to the child in time. He breached the atrium and was met with the scene of a boy running on the second floor, about to run into a dead end. He sprinted across the vast plains that were the atrium, and reached the escalator.

He took the stairs 3 at a time, and almost lost his footing twice. He looked back to Gregory, who at this point had reached the dead end, and was cowering in fear from the threat that stood before him.

The sight angered Cooper, which only prompted him to run faster. The child appeared to have been bracing for Monty to attack, shutting his eyes and holding his hands out in defence, not like they would do anything against Monty though. The alligator loomed on top of him, the shadow he casted only amplifying the fear in the situation. Monty slowed his approach, seeming to have either gotten cocky or just wanting to savour the fear. He started slowly laughing.

Gregory had thought it was all over, as he had several times before. He was getting used to such occurances. He cleched his eyelids before he heard the loud cackle and crack of a tazer, followed by the crash of an animatronic falling to the floor after having their circuits fried, absolutely shattering the silence like a gunshot through a library.

Gregory looked up to see the alligator figure in front of him, replaced by a much more familiar and friendly human figure.

Cooper stood atop his defeated rival with pride, feeling like a true protector. He was more of a bodyguard then a night guard right now. He panted heavily from all the running. He heroically kicked the stunned alligator body aside, before he tended to Gregory.

"You all right mate? What did he do to you?" He said as he put his taser away, still panting. He lay a hand on the young boy's shoulder.

"Yeah I'm fine... Thank you." Gregory moved in for a hug in which Cooper obliged.

"Look we need to get moving, there's no chance that things gonna stay down forever." He grabbed Gregory's hand and began walking him to the fazcade, the place where he originally wanted to go, but lacked the pass.

"How'd you know? Weren't you with Roxy?" Gregory asked as they walked, puzzled.

"What made you think I was with her? I was, but I was checking the cameras and I saw you running from Monty, and so I started running."

"Because you are always with her. You two are like two flat Lego pieces that just can't be taken apart."

Cooper was about to rebuttal, when he realised Gregory was right. He did spend a lot of time with the wolf. "OK, maybe I do spend time with her... Just consider yourself lucky I'm good at my job." He gave the youngster a sarcastic little elbow.

"What happened to him?" Gregory asked, after a long pause. Their almost jogging pace had been reduced to a leisurely walk in the park pace.

"Ahhh, figured I should have warned you. So, The mechanics came in just after closing, you might've seen them, I don't know. And they told me Monty's code was all messed up. I wanted to see if the others were OK, so I knocked on Freddy's room, and he wasn't there. Then I knocked on Roxy's room, and... well we just started talking. Sorry, again, I should've warned you."

Before the two knew it they arrived on the 3rd floor of the atrium, just opposite the fazcade elevator. Cooper leaned over the balcony before entering the elevator with Gregory just to male sure that Monty was still down. He looked over and... Monty was just roaming around, as if nothing ever happened.

"Yeah it's not safe to be out here for too long. Let's go." Cooper replied as he cautiously backpedaled into the elevator with Gregory.

They set their destination and were off.

"Why isn't it safe? You have a tazer..." Gregory asked. He made a valid point.

"These things run on batteries. Probably AAA since they run out of charge so quick." Gregory had no idea what he meant by that. "Also, the things are wildly inconsistent. Sometimes the voltage is enough to shut down the animatronic for good, sometimes it barely tickles them."

The doors opened and they were met with an 80's kid's paridise. Arcade cabinets littered the place, everywhere you looked there was at least 20. The colours all yelled at you, neon, retro, awesome. A huge golden statue of Freddy, that doubled as a water feature was the main focal point from the moment you stepped outside the elevator. Streams of lights from the ceiling hung down and flashed the signature light blue and light pink colours that the two had becomes so accustomed to. The atmosphere was cozy, despite the place being absolutely massive for an arcade. To the right of them was a dance floor, with several brightly lit holes surrounding it, one whom was occupied by the DJ, DJ Music Man.

Cooper looked over, and saw the titan of a robot sleeping on the stage. Most likely it would be best not to wake him, his common sense told him. Gregory saw him too, and Cooper gave the shhh gesture, as they both began creeping around. They didn't exactly know where they were going, but they did know it was a good idea to be going away from the huge, creepy, DJ spider.

The two made their way past the arcade cabinets and chairs and tables that lay almost everywhere, and progressed to the spiral staircase that lay in the somewhat centre of the room. The two were lucky the floor primarily consisted of carpet, dampening the noise of their footsteps. Although it was unlikely that regular footstep noise would wake the giant, as he slept with his headphones on. A true gamer.

Cooper and Gregory walked up the stage in awe, as they looked around and witnessed everything the arcade had to offer. The two were relatively safe from the giant spider bot, until Gregory pushed a button on his watch that made a loud beep.

Cooper glanced over to Gregory, slightly alarmed at the noise.

"What did you do?" Cooper whispered to the boy, as they stood up.

"Called Freddy." Gregory calmly replied, his voice slightly louder than a whisper.

Cooper shot a look of concern at Gregory.

"We are hiding from Monty right now, we are also right next to a huge spider bot that is probably also hostile, you know how much noise Freddy will make, what if Monty chases him and Freddy lures him here? What if Freddy has turned bad?" He was whisper yelling out of frustration.

Gregory looked down, ashamed. "Sorry." He whispered. Cooper only just realised how hard he had been on the boy. He sighed deeply.

"Sorry Greg, just... Oh never mind."

The two sat there, waiting tensely for their hopefully not hostile companion to arrive.
