Chapter 5: New Comer
With the quill from Sonic, Makato was able to create the normalized potion. Her pot bubbled in a green liquid and Makato took her time, pouring an even amount in each glass container she had her hands on.
"Tweet!" Miru chirped on the edge of the pot, smelling the liquid.
Makato noticed his excitement, as he flapped his wings up and down.
"Are you ready, Miru? You should be back to your normal self once you drink this." Makato said. She poured an even amount on a saucer plate and held out her hand for Miru to hop unto her palm.
Miru hopped onto her palm and Makato took her to a table, setting Miru down and the saucer.
"Ok, Miru. Drink up." Makato said, bending down on her knees to see Miru from a lower point of view.
Miru took baby steps to the saucer, taking small gurgles at a time. Minutes of drinking, Miru finished the recommended amount of liquid and hopped onto the ground. Makato got back on her feet and scooted back, watching Miru's body glow a bright yellow. He grew bigger and bigger, to the point Makato had to look up.
And then. . .
Makato glanced down, seeing toes and a pair of legs.
"It worked!" Makato smiled, clasping her hands.
Her eyes trailed up to his bare muscular legs and that was when she realized he had no pants. No clothes at all.
"Ah!" Makato turned around in a quick motion as she squeezed her eyes shut.
"Not really surprised. . ." Miru walked up to the body mirror she had near the shelf. He brushed his sky-blue bangs aside, seeing his blue eyes for the first time in forever. "Feels great to be human again." He stared at his abs and gave a bit of a smirk.
"There should be a towel near the shelf," Makato said, still having her back facing Miru. "I'll need to borrow some clothes from the male Smashers. . ."
"Ok. . ." Miru picked up the towel and wrapped it around his waist. "You can turn around now."
Makato gave a pivot with her head before turning around. Her eyes began to tear up as she covered her lips. "Miru. . ."
"Princess Makato. . ." Miru smiled.
"I want to hug you so bad. . . once you have some clothes." Makato giggled.
"Understandable."
(oOoOoOo)
Makato walked around the halls and spotted Marth walking towards her way.
"Marth," Makato called out, waving for his attention.
Marth showed a smile, walking up to her. "Makato, how's the potion going?"
"It worked very well. Miru's back to his normal self." Makato said.
"Oh! That's great."
"But he needs some clothes. . ." Makato poked her cheek. "I was wondering. . . do you have any clothes you don't need?"
"As a prince. . . I don't think my clothes would suit Miru's taste. I should have a few pieces of clothes that I don't wear. . ." Marth said.
"Anything would do for now. Thank you so much." Makato folded her hands. "Prince Marth. . . Wow, a prince. That explains the tiara."
"O-oh tiara. . . yeah. . ." Marth adjusted the tiara on his hair. "I prefer to call it a moon-shape crown."
"Hmm. . ." Makato stared at the crown, still unconvinced with the term moon-shaped crown. "Shall I wait here?"
"Yes. I'll get those clothes for Miru. It shouldn't take long."
(oOoOoOo)
"I'm back." Makato entered her room, seeing Miru laying on her bed with the towel still wrapped and tucked on his waist.
"Thank you, Princess." Miru got up and was shown the articles of clothing. Makato left her room and gave time and space for him to put on his clothes.
"You can come in," Miru called out through the door.
Makato entered the door, seeing Marth's exact outfit on him without the cape and armor. Pink as the base color and gold as the outline.
"Oh my, Miru. You look like a prince!" Makato closed the door behind her, eyes gleaming.
"Not liking the pink. . ." Miru patted the smooth fabric on his chest. "Nor the clothes. Something like that Marth guy was wearing, right? He looks like a girl."
"Oh, so you remember."
Miru nodded. "Yeah, there are some faces I don't want to forget. Like Ike sneaking into your room. . . Despicable."
"He was concerned about me."
"I doubt it. A pervert to the core. People like him you've got to be careful around, Princess Makato. But don't worry, I'll protect you in any way I can."
"I appreciate your concern, Miru. You must be hungry. I heard there's going to be pizza for lunch."
"Human food. Yay. No more seeds and worms."
When Makato opened the door, three swordsmen collapsed on top of each other. Groans were let out, as they all tried to recover from their fall.
"Ike, Marth, Roy. . ." Makato stared at the three heads that were near her brown boots.
Miru clicked his tongue. "Eavesdroppers. . ."
"We are not eavesdropping. Simply all of us got here at the same time. . ." Roy said.
"And I am not a pervert," Ike recalled Miru's statement about Ike.
Miru arched an eyebrow, rolling his eyes.
"So!" Marth clasped his hands, trying to release the angry tension. "You must be Miru! That little bird on Makato's shoulders."
Miru looked at Marth and gave a slight nod. "Yes. I'm Princess Makato's retainer, Miru Kozuku. It's a pleasure to meet you all- -at least you two. Marth and Roy."
"Oh! You know our names already?" Roy asked.
"Yea," Miru answered. "When we first came here, I made sure to remember faces and names. . . Didn't expect somebody to waltz into Princess Makato's room at such a late night."
"I wonder who that could be?" Ike said, looking away from Miru's glare.
"Let's get some pizza, Miru!" Roy cheered, wrapping his arm around Miru's shoulders. "Welcome to the party as our new Smasher!"
(oOoOoOo)
During the cheesy lunch, Miru was able to introduce himself to most of the Smashers as himself and not being in a bird form, receiving warm welcomes. Master and Crazy Hand were updated on Miru's information and from now on, Miru would be sharing a room with Ike. Miru didn't like the idea, nor did Ike. Master Hand didn't like Ike. And Roy suggested Ike having a roommate because he didn't like Ike. Ike's reputation in the Smash Mansion wasn't that good at all.
After lunch, Ike, Roy, and Marth showed Miru to the training room.
"So Miru, what do you do for a living?" Marth asked, sitting on a bench.
Miru gave a light punch to a punching bag. "I'm a Faithful Knight from Niho. And I protect the Princess while being her guinea pig."
"What's your specialty?" Roy asked. "You good with swords like the three of us?"
"Swords are pretty much overrated," Miru said.
"Bet," Ike muttered, sitting right next to Marth on the bench.
"Ike, shut up," Marth commented.
Miru swung another punch to the punching bag. "When it comes to weapons, I'm a gunslinger. Bows and guns are my specialties."
"Me gusta!" Roy showed a thumbs up.
"Maybe you can brawl with us sometime?" Marth said.
"Of course. Sounds fun." Miru nodded. He looked at Marth's clothes and back to his own pink outfit. "Can I get new clothes now? I feel like a girl."
"Sure- -wait, a girl?"
(oOoOoOo)
Ike's Room
After a quick shopping spree, Miru was satisfied with wearing his own style of clothing. From the pink princely outfit, he wore a gray tank, baggy dark blue pants with black combat boots.
The four of them gathered back in Ike's room with the additional bed added.
"So Miru, are you liking it here?" Roy asked, crisscrossing his legs on the carpet.
Miru across from Roy took another Goldfish cracker in his mouth and nodded. "It's cool. So many different types of people and animals here. Aside from the perverts lurking around the mansion, everything's cool." From his last comment, Miru side-eyed the mercenary.
Ike flinched. "I'm not a pervert."
"So, Miru," Marth started. "Were you really close with Makato? What kind of person is she like?"
Roy got excited about that question. "Yeah dude, tell us! You know more about her, so give us the juicy stuff!"
Miru picked up another fish cracker, giving the stare down. "We're childhood friends. The Princess is a kind, cheerful girl. Her family bloodline is born as wizards with inherited magic at random. Since potion making is a rare trait in her bloodline, most people would want to take the Princess. Making potions has been a part of her life as she was born with such an ability. Loves a good joke when she hears one, and she always had a sweet tooth, especially cinnamon rolls which are her favorite."
"Wow. . ." Marth said.
"Those get me excited." Roy drooled. "Cinnamon rolls. . . I was talking about the rolls. . ."
"Hey." Ike got Miru's attention when he turned to the mercenary. "What about this. . . ex of hers?"
Miru froze for a bit, before showing a dark expression. "Mikoru. . ." He looked back at the Goldfish. "I hate him so much for what he had done to Princess Makato. I'd rather not talk about that scumbag."
"Sure. . . no problem." Marth felt chills from Miru's anger filling the whole room in dark silence.
"One thing I could say for sure. . . Mikoru takes advantage of people's weaknesses. And soon the Golden Flower will bloom. . . It has the power to weaken or even stop her family's bloodline of magic. From the Princess being part of the royal blood, I'll need to make sure I'm with her during that whole month of May. . ."
That is all for this chapter. Plz, comment if you like this chapter. \(^_^)/
