A/N: Hope you enjoy this next chapter! Thanks for the reviews~! :D This chapter is probably the most weirdest chapter, in my opinion. . . Yell at me if I'm wrong. This chapter, pretty fun to type as well :P
Without further ado, let's start!
Chapter 44: So Many Questions
The guest left during that night, taking their belongings with them. While everyone slept in the Halberd, Master Hand and Crazy Hand drove the Halberd back to the Smash Mansion.
Nobody woke up till it was dawn.
May 18
7:50 A.M.
Everyone slowly started to get up from their comfy beds. The Smashers unload everything from the Halberd and left it outside of the Smash doors. Once everyone left the Halberd, the giant ship was then parked somewhere in the mansion. Master Hand carried the keys to the Smash Door.
"Oh yea baby! Home sweet home!" Roy stretched in his pajamas! "What's for breakfast?!"
Ike bonked him in the head with his pillow. "Idiot, we're not even inside yet!"
"Maybe he's just tired. You know how kids are." Snake said, scratching his belly.
"I am not a little kid! . . .I am a grown boy- I mean man! I'm a man!" Roy barked.
"Keep your yelling for the afternoon." Marth yawned.
The doors creaked open with the nice aroma smell. . . . .
. . . .of dust.
Spider webs were everywhere, rats crawled in cracked holes, hiding from the strangers, leaking faucets, left over pizza. The Smash Mansion was dirty as fuck.
"I WANT THIS PLACE CLEAN BEFORE ANYONE EATS BREAKFAST!" Master Hand commanded. The two hands entered the mansion and into their office.
The Smashers slowly walked into the dirty mansion, observing their house around.
"I can introduce you to the Smashers once we are all at the breakfast table." Makato said to her Aunt.
"Yes, that sounds great." Michelle said.
Miru walked up Makato and Michelle. He eyed Michelle with a suspicious look.
"Who's that Makato?" Miru asked.
"This is my Aunt Michelle. My mother's friend. She's going to be staying here after my birthday. Aunt Michelle, this is my friend Miru. He's my guinea pig who I tested my potions on."
"Nice to meet you, Miru. . ." She bowed.
Michelle stared at his light blue hair and his blue eyes. Miru did the same. She also had light blue hair and blue eyes. He recognized her from the Delfino Plaza restaurant. They didn't say anything for a while, only giving each other silent looks. Makato looked back and forth at them and broke the silence.
"I did want to say something about you Miru. You do look like my Aunt." Makato commented.
Miru growled and walked away. "Yea, right. She doesn't even look like me. I don't trust her one bit."
"Wait Miru!" Makato called out.
Miru kept walking inside the mansion thinking about something. 'Why does that face, look so familiar?' Miru cursed out and glared back at Michelle. "Stay away from me whoever you are." He warned. Miru continued walking in the mansion.
"What's wrong with Miru?" Makato thought outloud. Michelle put her hand on her shoulder. Makato noticed her touch and saw her hands covered with gloves.
"Don't worry. I'm sure he's just surprised that's all. I'll talk to him later on today."
"Thank you."
"Hey, who's this guy?" Ness asked, staring at a cornered place. A man with rough clothes, messy hair, no shoes was snacking on bread and meat. The man glanced up at Ness and panicked.
"Oh noes! I've been found!" He ran away from Ness and somewhere in the SSBB mansion.
"EEK! A hobo!" Peach cried.
"HOBO?!" Everyone questioned.
"There can't be any homeless people here. What the heck?" Mario scratched his hair.
"Hey, there's some running over there!" Popo pointed to some people running up the stairs with stuff in their hands.
"Don't worry, I'll get the heads before they can even escape." Ike grinned.
"Don't take hobos lightly." Marth said, yawning. "Let's start cleaning so I can eat some grub. Wait I got an idea. Makato-chan~" Marth walked over to Makato. "Hey, can you use your potions to make this whole mansion clean? That would be a great blessing."
"Yes, I do have something like that. I'll be right back Aunt Michelle." Makato spoke to her aunt.
Michelle nodded her head. "Do take your time, I'm going to go to that office where Master Hand is. I need to talk to him about something."
"Ok." Makato, along with other people, walked up the stairs. She arrived at her room and opened the door, using her key. The room was just the same as she left it. Potions all store in a shelf. Some in boxes and in creates. Empty glass bottles on another shelf. A giant black pot in the middle with a giant spoon. Makato smiled and made a small dance, happy that she was back in her little home. First, she unpacked the items she brought with her and stored them into closets, drawers, and other places. Then she walked over to her potions and looked for something cleaning related.
"Oh, here it is!" The potions were in a spray bottle. Testing it, she sprayed the potion on the dirty windows with one push and 5 seconds later, the whole window was cleaned. She brought other related cleaning potions and put them in a box.
"Ok. Time to give it to Marth." Once she turned around, a hobo appeared with drool on the tip of his lips. The hobo made a perverted face as he walked slowly towards her. Her heart raced. A stranger was in her room. How? Makato glanced at her door and noticed it was slightly opened.
"Why helloooo there little lady~" The man greeted. "Would you mind stripping for me? Pretty please?"
"No thank you, sir. . ." Makato turned around quickly, grabbing one of her potions.
"What do you think you're doing?! Strip!" The man ran toward her, pulling the back her hair. Makato groaned and she took a sip of a potion. Her body started to transform into a vicious cat.
"W-what the fuck?! You're a tiger?!"
Makato tried to look intimidating by making a loud and scary growl. She threatened him that if he came near her, she would kill him. The hobo gave up and ran out of her room.
Marth took a quick glance of a hobo running pass by him as he walked to Makato's room. The prince sighed.
"These filthy people need to know who they're dealing with. Makato-chan-" Marth entered her room, seeing a large tiger, sitting up tall. "Uh. . . Are you trying to impersonate the Lion King? Because. . ."
Seconds later, Makato shape shifted back into herself and sighed. "No, there was a man who tried to assault me."
"What?!" Marth glared in his mind about the hobo who ran passed him. "Next time, I'll cut his throat. . ."
"But anyways, here you go." Makato handed the box of potions to Marth. "This is a dust remover potion. You don't need to spray a lot of it. One spray to a dust mite, and all dust mites will be gone. And this is a fixer potion. Anything broken, dented, open holes or whatever, will be fixed in one spray. And this is a rat killer potion. Does not affect any living creature but rats and mice. You can give the rats to me when you're done. There's labels on all of them so you can know which one is which."
"Thank you." Marth smiled. "Oh, and by the way-" Marth was about to leave but stop interruptedly from a thought.
"What is it?"
Marth shook his head. "It's nothing, see you later." Marth left her room after that with the box.
'I do wonder if Makato likes Ike.' Marth thought walking down the stairs.
Minutes later, she heard the sound of arguing over the potions. Makato giggled a little and got another cleaning potion for her to use.
Ike's Room
Ike left his stuff near his bed so he can resume cleaning the mansion. Before he left, he saw Miru lying on his bed with his arms crossed.
"What are you doing Miru? Everyone's cleaning. Get your lazy-ass up. Or no breakfast." Ike said walking over to him. Miru groaned, facing away from Ike.
"Leave me alone. I'll be fine starving."
"Ok, your call if you die."
"That would be a pleasure." Miru talked back sarcastically.
Ike sighed and left his room without saying anything. Minutes later of quietness to himself, the imaginations of that light blue haired woman appeared to his mind. He had to admit, he did look a little similar. At the same time, he does not want to accept it. Who was she really? Michelle appeared just after Miru received the letter from the King himself. Just thinking about Michelle and Niho made Miru a bit more upset. A knock echoed from the inside of Ike's room. He ignored it and closed his eyes. Another knock came. This time, he responded.
"Leave me alone."
"Miru. I'm worried about you." The voice talked through the door. Miru got up, and his eyes widened.
"Makato?"
"Can I come in?"
Miru was about to go to the door but another despicable voice came up.
"Miru, what's wrong?" She asked in a worried tone.
"Don't bring her in."
Makato turned to her Aunt Michelle and apologized.
"It's alright. I understand if he doesn't want to see me, that's fine. Maybe some other time." Michelle left Makato, heading for the stairs.
"Ok Miru. I'm by myself."
Miru then slowly opened the door and let her in.
:-:
"Now can you please tell me why? Why are you being so rude to Aunt Michelle?" Makato questioned crossing her arms.
Miru was quiet, not knowing how to put it in words. "Her face. . . Ever since I saw her, it reminded me of my mother."
"Your mother? Now that you mentioned it, you never did talk to me about your mother."
"Well, that's because I never wanted to. . ." Miru said. Miru thought how he should explain this strange story. "My mother, she's a coward. She left us. I remember. . . But I can't remember her face. . . I was young back then. 3 years old."
Flashback
Miru's Home
"Where do you think you're going?" Father shouted to the woman with the long hair.
"Mom!" Yoriki was in front of Miru, next to Father. Mother had her bags with here, as if she was going on a long week vacation.
"I can't stand it Kufu!" She answered in a vicious voice. "I can't stand living in this house! You won't get a better job to do! No extra money! Planning to hurt my children in this Faithful Knights! We need the money to survive! Get a better job Kufu!" She kept on talking about money this and money that, which Miru couldn't comprehend.
"Mommy?" Miru hid behind father's long gown where his long black hair came in.
"It is not about the money, but for the future of Niho!" Father was very calm in the situation that he was in. Mother was very upset. "That's why I'm taking the boys and putting them in the Faithful Knights! Miru is next in line."
"UGH! This is why I can't stand it! I'm leaving you forever!" She pointed at Father. Mother stomped away, slamming the door behind.
"Mom's leaving! Dad! Stop her dad!" Yoriki cried.
"Why mommy leaving?" Miru tugged onto Father's clothing.
Father stood there with his arms behind his back. "She's afraid. She think we will have no money, since I'm putting you two in the front lines. Mother thinks if we have no money, we'll die." Father turned to Yoriki and Miru, bending on one knee. "Forget about your mother, Miru, Yoriki. She's nothing but a coward. For the sake of Niho and he Faithful Knights, I will train you two to be strong!"
End of Flashback
"I don't even remember my mother's face." Miru said.
"Miru." Makato said.
"But, when I see her face, why does she remind me of that memory?! Why does it make me so angry?! Yet-" Miru choked on his words and pulled his head to his knees. "So. . . sad?"
Makato sat right next to him and gently put her hand on his lap. "I'm so sorry. . ."
"I've always missed her. I always wondered where she was. I forced myself to forget about her."
Makato noticed Miru's trembling and hesitant voice. She pulled him into an embrace. "You've been sad. You locked those feelings and I never noticed."
"It's not like I wanted you to know. . ." Miru said.
"Do you want me to sing a song?"
"I don't care. . ."
"Beautiful mother soft and sweet, once you were gone we were not complete, back through the years we reached for you, alas, was not meant to be. . ."
Miru made a small grin. "I think your singing is going to make me cry." Miru interrupted her soft singing voice.
"Hey, Miru?"
"What is it?"
"What if, Aunt Michelle, is actually your mother? Does she know your face?"
"Probably not. If she does know, she would have recognized me immediately. Well, that's what you get for leaving a family behind. You don't care to remember the child's face." Miru answered.
"Well, I'm glad she's not my mother."
"What did your mother looked like?"
"She had long hair. And the same color as my hair. That's all I can remember."
"So if she's somehow not your mother, will you be nice to my aunt?" Makato smiled.
Miru sighed. "I'll try to be nice."
"Good good!" Makato squeezed him even closer to him. "I should write a letter to my mother about Aunt Michelle arriving at the SSBB Mansion. Also, we need to give some potions to the Village of Niho and the Faithful Knights."
"Right, right." Miru hugged her back squeezing her even closer to her. "Just let me stay like this for now."
"Hehe, Miru. . ."
(=_=)
The potions made cleaning more fun and less time consuming. In less than 2 hours, the WHOLE mansion was cleaned.
"Being in our pajamas intensifies!" Roy cheered.
Marth looked at the things they had collected. "Ok, we've found 138 rats. Ew. Um, 90 pieces of rotten food, 70 pieces of dirty clothing, and 24 hobos all tied up."
Ike yawned and checked his surroundings. "Wait, I thought there were 25. . ."
Marth made a surprised look on his face. "Let me count again. I. . . 2 . . . 34567-Oh my GOD! Where did the other one go?!"
"You mean this?" Miru grabbed the missing hobo from the collar of his shirt and threw him where the other hobos are all tied up. "I saw him near Makato's room."
"Good job Miru." Marth made a grateful smile.
Makato came downstairs and spotted the potions all empty in a box.
"Wow, it seems that the potions were needed to be used a lot." Makato said.
"Here's your rats you ordered. Idon'tknowwhatyou'regoingtodowiththembut. . . here you go!" Marth handed the box of dead rats to Makato. Makato observed the rats in the box and poked one of them with her finger.
"Good, still fresh."
"Ew. . ." Marth shivered.
Makato giggled. "Anyways, thank you. I'm going to put it in my room now."
"Let me help you carry them." Ike offered. He grabbed the box away from her and head for the stairs.
"Why thank you Ike." Makato followed him behind.
Roy crossed his arms in frustration. "He thinks he can do anything after that date huh?"
Marth rolled his eyes. "Then Roy, why not ask her out?"
". . ."
"That's what I thought-"
"I'm in my pajamas!"
"So?"
"So I can't possibly ask her out. . .!"
"Ok, go ahead and take 50 years to take off your pajamas. By the time you're done, it will be already too late." Marth said.
"Nothing's too late for Roy! I'll prove you wrong! Hey, don't you like Makato as well?"
"Huh? Of course I do!"
"Aha! So you do want to ask her out!"
"Now you're just putting words into my mouth," Marth said, "that would be a whole different level if I started to date Makato."
"Why?"
"Why you ask? Because one, Ike might kill me, two, Ike might kill me, and three, Ike might hang me. I was about to ask Makato if she liked Ike. . . But I didn't have the guts to tell her. If I were you. I would give up on her. Cause Ike's in the lead."
"Pfft-!" Roy didn't believe a word what he said, but yet, he listened. "Yea, right."
"Hey! You think I'm joking?! Go see her yourself then!" Marth popped a vein. "Also, noticed how Makato is more 'friendly' to Ike."
Roy started to think back in the past in his clogged memories.
"Now imagine them husband and wife."
Roy went into a world of his own imagination and see what they would look like together. . .
Roy's Imagination
Makato was feeding Ike a piece of a cinnamon roll to Ike, as they sat across from each other.
"Say 'AH'! This is your favorite!"
Ike laughed. "But Honey, this is your favorite!"
"Oh! Whoopies! Hahaha!" The two kept on laughing till the imagination faded away.
End of Roy's Imagination?
Roy crouched into a ball. Some Smashers stared at him from what he was doing.
"Oh my GOD. They'd be eating cinnamon rolls without me!"
"What the actual fuck were you thinking?" Marth asked.
A random announcement came from the intercom:
"Well, the hobos ate all of our food supply, even the garbage! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Crazy Hand laughed.
"SHUT UP! LEMME TAKE OVER!" Master Hand yelled. They argued over the microphone, while making these annoying microphone noises that would go so-so loud, it would make your ears bleed.
Master Hand won the fight and continued. "Well, the hobos ate all of our food supply!"
Pit ran to the fridge and opened it. "The hobos did eat everything!"
"They MUST DIE!" Kirby pulled out his mini shank knife and lunged for the hobos but Fox stopped him before he could make a mark.
"BEFORE YOU MURDER THE HOBOS KIRBY, LISTEN WHAT I GOT TO SAY!" Master Hand yelled, which his yelling almost blew off everyone's eardrums off, as if it wasn't a common problem.
"EVERYONE'S GOING TO IHOP FOR BREAKFAST! WE'LL HAVE TO RESERVE THE WHOLE RESTAURANT. SO IN THE MEANTIME, BRUSH YOUR YELLOW TEETHS AND REFRESH YOUR ASSES SO WE CAN GO!"
"YAAY!"
"iHop for life!"
"Awesome!"
"I'm starving!"
"I wanted hobo stew but this is even better!" Kirby cheered. Everyone stopped cheering and stared at the puffball.
"W-what? Hobo stew is delicious-I mean. . . poyo!"
"What is iHop?" Michelle asked herself.
"It's a food-restuarant-thing." Ike answered for her.
"Oh, I see. Thank you."
"Isn't that what a restaurant is you dummy?" Marth said, walking to him. He saw an unknown lady staring right at her.
"Before you get any weird ideas, this is Michelle's- I mean Makato's aunt. Her name is Michelle."
"Hello."
"It's a pleasure to meet you Michelle. I'm Prince Marth Lowell, Makato's close, friend. You can trust me more than that mercenary." Marth bowed. Ike rolled his eyes from that last comment Marth ended with.
Makato walked over to her aunt. "So Aunt Michelle, where would you be sleeping?"
"Oh, a room next to yours." Michelle answered.
"That's good." Makato said.
11:00 A.M.
Master Hand reserved iHop at Smashville so NOBODY that was not a Smasher, would be allowed to enter iHop.
It was a huge buffet for the guest and the Smashers. Everyone ate to their hearts content. Michelle introduced herself to the rest of the Smashers so she wouldn't be a stranger anymore to their eyes.
The Smashers wore their regular clothing, but without the armor and gadgets and all. They'd be complaining if they had to wear that while they ate a gorgeous breakfast. Makato had her hair in two buns, expect the back of her hair was not attached with any kind of ribbon. To match her pink hair, she wore a pink long sleeve dress that had a cherry blossom patterned on it. Along with a yellow ribbon to keep hold of her dress. Plus she had yellow flats on with white socks.
As they all ate, Makato noticed Michelle's gloves.
"Why do you wear gloves?" Makato asked.
"Oh, I feel more comfortable when I wear them."
"Ok, I won't judge."
Miru stared at Michelle and looked away back to his own food. Kirby played with his pancakes as his own choo choo trains. That's the first.
"Kirby, stop playing with your food." Toon Link said.
"Shut up! I can play with my food whenever I wanted to! Straight out of Planet Popstar!" Kirby threw his pancakes, LOADED with whipped cream and face planted at Toon Link's face.
"Ahh! You-!" Toon Link wiped the cream off his face, and grabbed his cup of orange juice. He missed the little Kirby's face since he was so short, but next to him, the orange juice it an angry human pig.
"G-Ganondorf! It was an accident!" Toon Link panicked.
"Why you little brat!" Ganondorf grabbed a fork and aimed for Toon Link's forehead. Toon Link quickly grabbed a plate, with caused a ricochet, hitting Falco's ruined oatmeal.
"Now my oatmeal is contaminated!" Falco threw his oatmeal at Ganondorf. Ganondorf smacked the bowl of oatmeal away from his face as it aimed for Pit right for the face.
"I can't see!" Pit panicked. He knocked over, Roy's cup of milk as the milk spilled all over the Marth's lap.
"What the heck?!" Marth glared at Roy.
"Hey! I didn't do anything!"
Ike held his laughter in, but couldn't help it but to burst out his laughter right next to Marth. Marth grabbed his cup of water and poured it on Ike's lap.
"Not so funny anymore huh?"
". . ." Ike glared at Marth. "Why you. . ." Ike grabbed Miru's glass of orange juice, and poured it over Marth's hair.
Marth did the same, but with milk.
"My orange juice!" Miru said.
"FOOD FIGHT!"
The whole restaurant just turned into a food fight competition.
"Wow! Everyone is so aggressive." Michelle said dodging the food flying pass by her.
"Yea. . ." Makato hid under the table.
After iHop ;)
1:40 P.M.
Everyone did what they usually would do. Brawling, eating more food, shopping. There's more food supply for the SSBB Mansion. The hobos were kicked out with $1000 dollars and blankets so they would never come back to the Smash Mansion again!
Makato wrote a letter to her beloved mother for the first time in like forever about her aunt:
Dear Mother,
Hello Mother! It's been a long time. How are you? How's the family doing? There's so many questions I wanted to ask you, but I'll get to the point. I don't recall remembering Aunt Michelle, but she's with me till my birthday. She said you guys are very good friends, saying she used to visit you when I was young. Also, I'm going to send some potions for the Faithful Knights. I heard what happened to them. Every since you banished Mikoru, 85% of the Knight' followed Mikoru. I hope things go well in the Village of Niho. Miru sensed a war coming up, ready to attack Niho. Which is why we are going to prepare ourselves in case that were to happen. Please reply soon as you can when you receive this letter.
With Love,
Makato Tachibana.
Makato sealed the envelope with a red sticker for sealing and added the address on the front. She placed the envelope on top of a create of the defensive and offensive potions for Niho. Makato planned on sending the stuff tomorrow since yesterday took all of her energy. Especially the date she had with Ike.
She sighed and thought about Niho and her family there. And Mikoru. What was he up to? Mikoru gathering men into a whole new, dangerous army to destroy Niho? Whatever is was, Makato knew something bad was going to happen.
Even though Aunt Michelle told her that she met her when she was such a toddler, Makato still didn't understand. How come she didn't see Aunt Michelle throughout her childhood? Did she somehow stopped visiting the castle of Niho? And how come she looked so similar to Miru? Is Aunt Michelle actually Miru's mother? If that were the case, why does she know Makato? Makato's mother doesn't even know Miru's mom, only the father and Yoriki when they moved into the castle.
Who was Michelle really? Why do these questions cause a foreshadow? Why? Why? Why do I keep saying why? Why? Why? Y?!
"Thinking hurts." Makato whined closing her eyes. Makato got up from her chair and left her room, closing the door behind her. With the chance, Roy sneaked in from the other side, and went into her room. He went straight for the potions that were on the shelves, only looking for two specific ones.
He grabbed what he wanted and left her room, leaving the door open. Makato came back to her room with two cinnamon rolls on a plate. Once she sat on her chair, she noticed the door for her room was opened. "That's weird, I thought I closed it. . ." She got up from her chair and head for the door. While closing it, a tough hand stopped the door, only making it open again.
Makato realized who it was and smiled.
"Hey Makato! Just feel like visiting." Roy made his same jolly smile.
"Hello Roy! Oh, I need some advice. Help I would say."
"S-Sure!" Roy let himself in and sat on her bed. Makato closed the door behind and fiddled her fingers.
"What is it?" Roy asked.
"Well. . ." Makato made a small blush.
"Is it a secret or something? I'm all ears! I won't say anything, I promise!" Roy said.
"I'm so glad I asked you. Well, you see. Ike,"
"Did he hurt you?! Cause I'm ready to kick his butt!" Roy exclaimed.
"No, no. Ike, asked me to be his girlfriend."
Noticing the hints of happiness on her face when she told him that, Roy's world went black. How should he respond to that? Roy kept on listening, to see if she truly loved Ike.
"And I don't know what to say. . . So, um. I thought he was joking but he was serious. He wants me to give his answer tomorrow. I thought I liked him as a friend but, I don't know. This is so embarrassing! Roy! What do you think Roy? What should I say?"
'Just say no!' He was about to say. Roy decided to cut to the chase. "Makato, do you love Ike?"
"Do I l-love him?" Makato blushed even more and lowered her face. "Well. . .I. . ."
Roy saw the hesitance in her answer. He got up from her bed and ran out the door.
"Roy? Wait!" The potion princess called out to him. The redhead ignored her and kept on running away from the answer that she was about to give. He didn't want to hear it. Either way, whether it was a yes or a no. The expression on her face when she spoke Ike's name made him sank into despair. Roy refused to believe it.
Seconds later, Zelda entered Makato's room. "Hey Makato we have a request for secret assassin killer potion-" Zelda stopped midway and noticed Makato's sad look. "What's wrong?"
"I don't know what I did to make Roy so upset. . ." Makato started.
(^_^)
Roy dashed to the Brawl Room, seeing that Ike was on the schedule for fighting. He found the mercenary sitting down on a bench talking to Link.
"FIGHT ME RIGHT NOW!" Roy yelled, pointing at the mercenary.
Ike arched an eyebrow and looked at his left and right side. After that, he faced Roy. "Um, are you talking to me-?"
"Are you stupid?! Of course I am! Let's fight! Survival, 1 life!"
"You sure about that?"
"What? Don't tell me you're chicken. To scare to fight me?"
"Ooooh. . ." Link and other Smashers said as background people.
Ike cracked his knuckles and picked up his sword. "Yea, right. Not scared to fight a red spicy Cheeto pipsqueak."
The cameras were set and focused on the two Smashers. The stage was Earthbound, Mother 3. Where the little local Drug Store was at. Ike noticed how Roy's speed increased as he charged at him, slashing his sword for his chest area. Looking for an opening to talk him down. Ike thought he was playing around or something, but seeing the fire in his eyes made him realized that he wasn't.
When they had their swords close up together, fighting for dominance, Roy then spoke angrily at Ike.
"You've brainwashed Makato didn't you? You forced her to drink a love potion or something!"
"What are you-"
"Leave her alone! I swear, if you get near her, I'll kill you!" Roy threatened. "I'll make sure that Makato is safe away from a mercenary PRICK like you!" Roy kicked him hard in the stomach, stopping the sword clashing. Ike rolled and crashed into the yellow odd how.
Ike got up from the grassy ground and stared at Roy's face. His face was full on anger and hatred. Why?
"What's up with you?" Ike scratched his head.
"Don't play dumb with me Ike! You better stay away from Makato! I'll make her say no once I defeat the fuck out of you!"
Ike finally comprehended with the words and the threats that he was saying.
"I see, you're angry that I asked her out." Ike smirked. "Sorry, but, I'm not staying away from her."
"Why you-!"
"Stop being jealous Roy. Just because I spend more time with Makato then you. . ."
"I'm not jealous!" Roy snapped. "I'm furious-!"
"With jealousy." Ike finished his sentence. Roy raged and kicked a rolling create. It ricochet from the yellow house, crashing back into Roy. He was sent flying, almost dying.
"Look Roy. If you want to go to the arcade with Makato, that's fine. But if she rejects your somewhat confession, that's not my problem. It's up to Makato to decide. All I did was ask Makato to be my girlfriend. And now you're angry because of that. I get that you 'like' her. But other people have feelings you know. Even if- let's say, BOWSER! Bowser were to confess his love to Peach, would Mario murder Bowser? Hell yea he would! But, still. You need to know about other people's feelings before others. Stop acting like a five year old. I never seen you tried asking to be Makato's girlfriend. Even if the fear of rejection comes, still. . . You can't just go all hater on someone because that person did it before YOU. You get what I'm saying? Probably not. . ."
"Hearing you talk in such a way without even murdering me makes me feel like an immature brat. It also makes me want to kill you even more." Roy calmed down and grabbed a Maximum Tomato. "Ok then, if Makato does say yes to you, then I won't do anything to stop it. I don't want Makato to think I'm some kind of jealous freak."
"It's for the better that you're not a jealous freak." Ike spoke. "After our date, I asked Makato if she loved me."
"Impatient prick." Roy muttered.
"Shut up. As I was saying, I asked her if she loved me. Which I did said that question a few times to her in the past. Makato said she only like me as a friend."
"Haha, you've been friend zoned." Roy laughed.
Ike punched Roy, giving him an extra 30% to his 120% damage level. "But, at the end she said: 'but I would be lying if I said that.'"
Roy choked on air, causing an extra 5% more on his 150% damage level.
"She. . . actually said that?"
"Yep."
"What does that mean?"
"After some thoughts about what she had said, I think she likes me. . ." Ike muttered at the end. He grinned to himself and chuckled a bit. "Let's finish this pointless battle."
In the end, Ike won and Roy lost the battle. They both left the stage and back to where the other Smashers were.
"Wow, that look so long. What were you guys doing? It was a mute battle so none of us could hear what you guys were saying." Link said.
"We were having an important conversation, right Ike?" Roy elbowed him.
". . .Sure." Ike shrugged. "I'm outta here. Later freaks."
"Right back at you." Link said. Link and Roy watched Ike as he left the Brawl Room. Roy scratched his head and sighed. "I want Makato to love me. Not him. . ."
"Then do something. A potion or something." Link suggested. "Although, I take that back-"
"No, I should try using a potion to my mixture. . . Yea! That could work!"
"What mixture?" Link questioned. Roy snickered and sticked his tongue out. "None of your beezwax, buh bye!" Roy ran out of the Brawl Room after that.

Roy hurried to Makato's room, passing other Smashers going by.
"I just need to grab a love potion and GTFO!" Roy said to himself with a giant smirk. As he ran down the path of doors, he crashed into a tall woman.
"Ah!"
"Ah! I'm so sorry-!"
"Oh, it's okay. Sorry I crashed into you." Roy recognized who the person was. "Hey, you're Makato's aunt, Michelle, right? I'm Roy, nice to meet you."
"Pleasure to meet you Roy." She bowed. She had her hands being covered up by her long blue sleeves like always.
"Well, I'm in a hurry so. . ."
"Um wait! Can you show me around this place? I don't know where I am at most of the time."
Roy thought about it and shrugged. Why not? "Sure! Let's start the tour!"
"Thank you," Michelle pulled out a pencil and a small notebook, "I'm just going to take notes."
After the Long Tour. . .
Michelle thanked Roy over a million times, to show how grateful she was. Roy nodded and smiled. After they have parted ways, Roy continued his journey to Makato's door.
Once he had reached there he leaned over the door to see if there was anyone else in there. Good. No one was there. He slowly creaked the door opened and slipped into the room.

"I think we should find Mikoru." Makato said to Miru. They were both sitting in the living room, along with other Smashers like Ness, Lucas, Popo, Nana, and Toon Link, watching Spongebob in a high volume.
"I know your father and your brother are investigating on that, but. I could use a sensory potion."
"We could look for him and perhaps his army." Miru said. "But, for now, we should let my father and Yoriki handle the search. We'll get information once they find them. Let's do our part on preparing ourselves. The worse case scenario could be a war on Niho and possibly the Smash Mansion, there's no other explanation on why 85% of the Faithful Knights would follow Mikoru. Everything's going to be okay Makato."
"Ok. . ." Makato said. "I'm going to send the potions to Niho tomorrow, along with a letter I wrote to my mother." "
"That's good."
"So in the meanwhile, I'm going to make army of stone soldiers."
"An army?"
Makato smiled. "Yep, I'll gather stones from the garden and enhance each bottle per soldier with steroids and power."
"Won't that be stealing?" Ness asked, eavesdropping. "I'm gonna tell Meta Knight. Meta Knight hates when people be stealin'."
". . ." Makato made a nervous laugh. "Stealing? No, I'm just borrowing them."
"Only like 10 rocks." Miru added.
"I'll probably need 1000 stones for one ultra, powerful soldier."
Miru fell off the couch down. "One thousand?!"
"Well who knows!" Makato laughed. "I never made one!"
"You shouldn't have said so!"
"30 is probably a good number." Makato got up from the couch. She ran to the cabinets to look for a giant bucket. "Maybe, I'll make rat soldiers, who knows."
"Um, I wouldn't make dead rats into zombie rat soldiers." Miru said.
"That sounds cool! Dead rat zombie soldiers!" Lucas cheered.
"I know right?!" Ness agreed.
Makato found a giant bucket and walked away from the group. "Well, I'll be off now!"
"Bye!" Miru said.
"Zombie rat soldiers! Zombie rat soldiers! Zombie rat soldiers!" The kids chanted.
"My Lord." Miru facepalmed.
3:40 P.M.
Outside the giant 'backyard'. . .
"Hey, what are you doing?" Samus walked over to Makato, while she picked up rocks. The bounty hunter had to look down on her since she was kneeling.
"I'm doing a test on stone soldiers. So I would be needing some stones." Makato answered, staring at the rocks near the garden. She picked one up that she liked best and place it in the bucket.
"Oh, ok. I guessing it's because of what Miru told us in the Halberd about the Faithful Knights being gone."
"Yea. . ." Makato glanced up at Samus. "But, everything should be fine. I hope."
"Don't worry. Everything will be fine." Samus patted her shoulder. "Well, I'm going, see ya."
"Bye."
Makato collected the 30th stone and got up on her two feet. She then later, returned back into her room to start her test. She laid the potions on the table that she would be using along with the bucket of stones. She walked over to her giant black pot with the spoon inside.
"Gloves on, mask on. Hair covered. This is going to be interesting." Makato placed the stones and poured it into the green, magical, boiling liquid. She than added, steroids, bones, gasoline, an intelligent potion, eyeballs, and a touch of violent potion. She accidentally poured a bit too much, but quickly stopped pouring before the whole bottle went empty. After she mixed the ingredients thoroughly, she waited 1 minute for the magic to happen. Once the color inside the pot turned into a different color other than green, it was done. Color was now red. Makato grabbed a spoonful of the mixture and poured it on the bare ground in her room. Five seconds later the body of a human with the replacements of stones as skin was created. A stone soldier. Not a stoned soldier.
Although, the stone soldier did look a little stoned. But that didn't matter at the time. It was more of a stone monster.
"It worked." Makato cried tears of joy. She stared at its large body. Small stone head with red glowing eyes, a giant stone torso with legs and arms, sharp fingers, and giant palm feet all made of stone.
"Um, do you understand me?"
The stone soldier nodded its head. Makato squealed and jump with joy.
"What are you doing?" Ike opened the door to her room. What caught his eyes was the rock soldier, that was two times bigger than Makato.
"I made a stone soldier Ike!" Makato said, turning over to him. Makato turned back to the stone soldier and noticed its sharp fingers turning into a drill.
"Wow, it already knows how to use its hands as a weapon." Ike said, stepping in closer to the soldier.
"I used the intelligent potion." Makato said. She also talked about how she used other potions into the soldier. Yet she never mentioned the violent potion. The giant stone monster's eye brightened up to a fiery red at Makato's face. "YOU SHALL DIE."
"Oh, it spoke." Makato smiled. She glanced up at the soldier, while it aimed for her head.
"LOOK OUT!" Ike exclaimed, he lunged for Makato, saving her head from getting drilled. They both crashed into a wall just when the stone monster destroyed part of the floor instead of Makato. A loud booming sound echoed through the room. The stone monster missed its opponent and stared at them. "You shall die . . ." The stone monster disintegrated and turned into an ash monster instead. Makato's heart raced, while Ike covered her to protect her. It turned out the stone soldier lasted less than 5 minutes.
Ike sighed. "That was a close call. Are you okay Makato?" He didn't speak after when he saw her eyes trembling in fear. She clutched onto Ike's shirt and pulled him closer to herself.
"I. . . just put . . . too much violent potion. . . that's all. Otherwise, it wouldn't. . . tried to hurt people in sight. . ." Makato manage to say. "I thought I was going . . .to die." Makato looked up at Ike. She tried to smile. "Thank you. Good thing you were here. . . or else I-"
"You don't need to say no more." Ike said, pulling her closer. "I'll be there for you always."
The mercenary saw the tears flowing down from her eyes to the cheeks on her pale face. He wiped them gently with his thumbs. With just moments of staring into each other, Ike leaned in closer to her face as she did the same. Makato closed her eyes, feeling only the touch of his lips. Hesitant at first, Makato slowly melted into his kiss forgetting about the stone soldier that tried to kill her. Ike wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her in closer, tasting the sweet trembling lips which its trembling stopped every second. Every time she moaned, Ike would pull her in even more, till she couldn't breathe. Makato opened her eyes and pushed herself away from Ike. Only enough to move her arms.
"Ike. . . we should stop-" Makato couldn't help but to grin. However Ike brought her in once more.
"Just one more kiss." Ike whispered near her soft lips. Her lips were once again, occupied by the tough mercenary. This time, she didn't tried to escape.
They went on like that for a while. Forgetting their surroundings. It was just only them and them alone. The two finally parted minutes later only to gaze at each other's faces. Both on the ground with Ike on top of the princess.
"You're so greedy Ike." Makato whined.
Ike smirked. "I guess I just want you all to myself."
Makato got up and walked over to her giant black pot. "I guess, I should throw this away. . . No. I can add a love potion to balance the violent potion. And maybe. . ." Makato thought outloud.
"That could work." Ike nodded his head. Makato grabbed a love potion from her cabinet and pour the half of the bottle in the pot. A minute later, the color of the mixture turned purple. Makato grabbed a spoonful of the mixture and splashed it on the ground. Five seconds later, the liquid turned into the same built stone soldier.
"It's more of a stone monster I would say. . ." Ike said.
She gulped. Hoping it won't go attack her again. "Do you understand me, I created you. You must obey my orders."
The stone monster stared at Makato's blue eyes. Makato noticed it's eyes were purple. It bowed, respecting her orders. "YES. THANK YOU MASTER FOR CREATING ME. I WILL OBEY YOUR ORDERS."
Makato was taken back the way it responded to her. "Y-yes. I'm going to put you away for now."
Makato grabbed an empty bottle and pointed it at the stone monster. It turned into small rocks, then a purple liquid, putting itself in the bottle. Makato covered it with a cork and labeled it 'Stone Soldier'. Ike helped along with labeling and storing the potions, while Makato put the purple liquid in the bottles.
In total, 50 Stone Soldier potions were stored and locked into a create.
"I'm so happy." Makato smiled. "This turned out to be a success."
"Well, then. I'm glad that you're happy." Ike said. "The stone monsters will work out well."
"Mhm." Makato nodded her head. Ike wrapped his arms around Makato's neck and pecked her cheek. "I can't wait for your answer." He whispered.
"Ike. . ." Makato said. Ike let go of her and winked at her. "I will wait in the meantime. I'm going to go back to the Brawl Room to earn myself a little more money. See ya."
"Ok, bye." She waved. Ike left her room, closing the door behind.
11:00 P.M.
Dinner was made at 8:00 P.M. and the Smashers and the guest went to their rooms around 9:30 P.M. By the time, 10:30 P.M. hit, most of the people in the SSBB Mansion were sound asleep.
Expect for Roy that is.
He tiptoed to Makato's room and laid his hand on the handle. A slow twist he made with his wrist and the door was opened. "As expected from Makato." Roy quietly said to himself. He held a potion in his other hand, as he entered into Makato's room.
The potion princess was sound asleep. Roy walked over to her and opened the potion he fused in with other potions.
"Want some water Makato?"
". . .Uh huh. . ." Makato muttered in her sleep.
He leaned over and tilted the potion drink near her lips. Makato drank it without any caution. She opened her eyes instantly, recognizing the taste of the potions. She also saw Roy staring right at her.
"R-Roy?!" She exclaimed. Makato was about to get up but her whole body froze, she felt her heart yearn for Roy at the same time. 'What are you doing here?!'
Roy scratched his head and sighed. He climbed onto her bed being above her body. "You're probably wondering why I'm here in your room in the the middle of the night. It's okay, just relax."
'How can I relax when you're in my room in the middle of the night-?!'
"It's a mixture of paralyzing potion and lost of memory potion. With a drop of love potion. I don't know what that would do but. . . The look on your face, when Ike asked you to be his girlfriend. It made me jealous and angry." Roy explained. "I also. . . love you as well."
'That's why he ran so suddenly out of my room.' Makato wasn't able to respond but to stare into his eyes. Roy cupped her cheeks and leaned in closer. Makato tried moving but wasn't able to move a finger. "Don't worry, it'll be a secret between us. Once midnight strikes, you'll forget everything from the from the following past hour. And the potions will wear out as well. So let me do this. . . just for the first and last time."
'Roy. . . I'm sorry. . .'
Roy touched her lips for the first time. What a blessing for Roy to have this opportunity. Yet, why haven't he done this in the first place? Well, no matter. He's with the princess. Even though, she soon not to remember any of this, but he would. Roy parted from her to see her face once more. She had her eyes closed. It was hard to see her face in the darkness, but just by touching her face, Roy could tell that she was blushing. The love potion must have been doing the work.
It was a dirty thing to do to Makato.
Roy knew that for sure. After an hour of his farewell kiss, he greeted his goodnights to Makato and quietly left the room, without being caught.
