Chapter 65: Caught by Lies

June 5th

7:00 AM

Michelle adjusted her mutant hands under her sleeves as she took a slow stroll in the dungeon of the castle. From her fight with Makato, it took her quite some time for her to recover. The only bitter thought of it made her wanted to carve the living life out of her demonic nails.

The prisoners watched the long light blue hair passing their cells. Michelle didn't even bother to spare a passing glance. She just wanted to visit the cell of Makato's parents. The special large cell; still rusty and smelly and unattended to be cleaned.

Michelle took her sweet time to arrive at the cell where the king and queen were barely moving a finger ever since that day they were overthrown. Not either one of them glanced up at the Michelle so she had to clear her throat loudly enough for their ears to hear.

"How are you two doing?" Michelle tried to spark up a small conversation with them.

"You ungrateful woman. How dare you trick out daughter!" Rosalinda exclaimed. They both seem to be in good health, coming from Michelle's mind. She kept quiet.

"I didn't do anything but to treat her like my own niece," Michelle replied back with a chuckle. Utora held onto her wife's shoulders to keep her calm. He then eyed Michelle.

"As long as she fine, I don't care what happens to me," Utora admitted. "But if you try anything funny to my daughter, I pray that karma will hit you like a bitch."

"I'm afraid it already did. . ." Michelle muttered before leaving their presence. She couldn't forget the day she was almost killed from Makato. It only made her furious inside.

(oOoOoOo)

Thunderous knocks echoed through Makato's door and into her ears even when they were muffled with heavy blankets. She tried ignoring it, hoping it was just a fluke, but it kept coming. The pounding got louder and Makato had no choice but to wake up from her peaceful slumber.

"HEY! WAKE UP!" A voice shouted.

"Ugh. . ." Makato moaned, dragging herself from her warm bed. After stretching her aching body, she slowly made her way to the door.

"We will be your new um. . . your new servants from now on!" A male voice spoke through the door. Makato for sure knew it wasn't Mikoru's voice. She only grabbed the doorknob, not even attempting to twist it open.

"I don't need any servants." Makato was completely done with the people in the castle.

"Don't be ridiculous, Princess. If anything were to happen to you, we're gonna get fucked by Mikoru- -Lord Mikoru. Just open the door so we can introduce ourselves."

"I'm changing. . ." Makato said, looking back at her bed and some empty potion bottles on shelves.

"There are no clothes in your room. Only a bed, so how can you possibly change?" Another male voice spoke to her.

'He's right. . .'

Makato had no other option nor excuse but to open the door. She was standing before two of Mikoru's soldiers with unique designed outfits unlike the other soldiers in the castle.

"Man, I've always wanted a little sister. I didn't think she would be this cute." The blonde man said. She glanced at the other guy who had long black hair that looked emo.

"Um," Makato gave her attention back to the blonde guy, "what do you mean by sister?" Her sweat dropped.

"We should probably explain inside." The black hair guy said to the blonde one.

"Yea." He nodded. The blondie pushed Makato inside her room while the black-haired guy followed her.

"Hey!" Makato yelped.

"Let's go inside!" The energetic blonde said.

"Why?"

"Just get in!"

He made her sit on her bed before he began speaking.

"I'm Mike, that guy is my cousin, Jacob." Mike pointed to Jacob who made a small bow.

"Ok." Makato bluntly said.

"And we're both Tachibanas," Mike added along with a little smirk.

". . .Ok."

"Ah! I thought you would be more surprised than that!" Mike exclaimed in shock.

Makato stared off into space, thinking about other surprising moments. "Nothing can surprise me more than Michelle being related to Miru. . ." She ended with a creepy grin. Makato shook her head and looked back up at the two. "Is that why you said you always wanted a younger sister?"

"Yep! Jacob and I always wanted a younger sis. We don't have any siblings. We're like brothers."

"This is very exciting. . ." Jacob didn't sound as enthusiastic nor did he showed it. Makato was caught off guard from their sudden bow to her.

"We shall be loyal to you first, Princess." Mike and Jacob both decreed. Makato arched an eyebrow in confusion. Mike got up from his kneeling position and showed her his biggest grin when talking to Yumi.

"Welcome to the fam!" He brought her into a tight hug. Jacob lazily placed his arms around the two to join in the group hug. "Now let's get you clean and ready for breakfast!"

"Uh. . ." Makato mentally rolled her eyes.

(oOoOoOo)

Mike and Jacob were both on their feet right next to Makato while she began eating her cinnamon roll for breakfast. Makato wasn't bothered from the two chatting right to her. It was when she saw Mikoru with Michelle and Yumi right next to him. It felt like a lifetime when she last saw Michelle. Yumi, she didn't give a flying crap about her.

Michelle flinched only a tiny bit when she was caught staring at the princess. Yumi was staring at Makato without any warning, giving her glares in front of Mikoru as he stared at the princess with an unusual grin.

'Please tell me this is a nightmare. . . He never eats breakfast with me. . . What made him change his mind?' Makato groaned silently, continuing to eat her breakfast. A memory came into her head two days ago when Mikoru was with her. That only made Makato not wanted to eat her cinnamon roll.

"Makato Dear," Mikoru spoke across to her as he fiddled with his orange. Makato peeked up at him and turned back to her food.

". . ."

"We should go out for a walk right after this," Mikoru said.

The for Dark Knights quietly made their own types of gasps. Mikoru never went outside ever since he won this war.

"Are you for real, Milord?" Yumi asked him just to make sure.

"Yea. I'm feeling pretty good today." Mikoru replied with a smirk. Makato knew he was smirking deep into her soul from that day. She only felt embarrassed and guilty from that memory.

"Who knows, maybe you might see the ghost of your friends." Mikoru said. Makato glared at him, itching to launch a knife to his forehead covered by his grayish bangs.

"I agree about the walk thing, it's a good day outside. Plus, Lord Mikoru's utopia is almost done." Mike said to Makato. All eyes were on Makato as they all waited for her answer.

"Plus, maybe the next time we take a walk, we can invite your parents." Mikoru added.

"Are you trying to bribe me?" Makato asked.

"Of course not. I just want to spend more time with you. Isn't that what couples suppose to do?"

"We're not a couple."

"How are we not? You still have that mark on your-"

"Ah!" Makato slammed her hands on the table to mute the rest of Mikoru's words.

"Is something the matter, Princess?" Jacob asked.

"Yea! What was that for?" Mike said.

Makato let out a nervous laugh, "I'm, I'm excited to walk! Let's go out now!" She rushed out from her seat and left the dining room. Mikoru only burst out laughing from her act. Yumi glanced at Mikoru and then at Michelle.

"Do you know what happened between the Princess and Lord Mikoru?" Yumi asked the older woman. Michelle only shrugged.

"I'm better off not knowing."

(oOoOoOo)

9:00 A.M.

"So, we basically do absolutely nothing from wearing these cloaks?" Roy tugged his cloak lightly.

"From the looks of it, the men that belong to this village are only doing the labor work, and some of the Dark Knights are also working to make Lord- -I mean, Mikoru's utopia within these three days." Dragon Boy explained. He received some understanding nods from the Smashers expect for a few, which included Ike. Ike only gave him a death glare to every word he spoke. Marth would have to elbow him from his ruthless behavior.

The Smashers weren't near the town of Niho as they watched men and Dark Knights constructing with rare breaks.

"We shouldn't be in such a big group, or we'll get caught," Zelda suggested. "Let's all split up for now, and on the 7th of June, let's meetup here in the same place. If you come in contact with Makato, pretend you don't know her, or else we're all screwed."

"Got it!"

"Understand."

"Yep."

"Okay."

"I was hungry anyways!"

Zelda smiled and took a peek from the container of the Golden Flower Goddess potion. It was glowing so bright than the sun that was shining out today.

"Ah, Zelda, what's with the LED lights?" Marth squinted his eyes as he covered his face with his hands.

"Is the potion complete?!" Miru said with a little excitement.

"I think so!" Pit squeaked out.

"Let's kill Mikoru already," Ike said.

"Calm your tits, BOI," Kirby said.

"I think Kirby's right. We need to calm our tits." Robin said, drinking a cup of green tea.

"Should we open the container?" Link poked the container out of curiosity.

"Not until we need to invade their wedding." Zelda put the container back inside her cloak. "Guys, start acting natural and split up. If you can't do that than stay here." The Smashers began to make their ways out of their special spot and into the town of Niho as a Dark Knight.

"Good." Ganondorf crossed his arms and sat himself in a criss-cross position. "I'm not going anywhere."

"Good, no one cares." Ike walked away from the fake group of Dark Knights.

"Hey, wait for me!" Marth followed Ike, and so did Roy and Miru.

"You're coming with me," Ike stopped walking when he almost passed the dragon boy. He was about to go with Zelda and Link.

"Huh?" The Dragon Boy glanced up at Ike, a little frightened by the mercenary's presence.

"Did I stuttered? Move your dragon ass." Ike grabbed his cloak and dragged him like a rag doll.

"Hey!" He began coughing, for he was choking on his own cloak.

"We're going to the castle. I don't care about anything else." Ike wanted to save Makato ASAP and he wasn't looking forward to the wedding at all.

"Ike, you're crazy if you think we're going there just like that! We'll get caught." Marth exclaimed, ignoring the dragon boy's cries for help. Ike glared at his handsome friend and scoffed.

"Then you be the bait. If you hate how I operate, get out of my face."

"I kinda agree with Ike. But at the same time, isn't it a little bit risky?" Robin popped out of nowhere along with Lucina.

"We have him." Ike released the collar of the dragon boy's cape. Dragon Boy coughed out uncomfortably as he adjusted his collar.

"Zelda is so gonna kill us." Roy sighed loudly.

"Then be my guest and die first," Ike said.

"Does Ike always act like he's on his period?" Lucina whispered over to her Marth-sama.

"Not all the time." Marth sadly sighed.

"From where we are, the castle is pretty far." Miru pointed out in a distance to the castle."

"How long would it take by foot?"

"Um, probably 3 hours."

"We'll get there in 30 minutes." Ike started walking ahead of the group.

"Is he going delusional. . .? I never saw Ike act like this before." Miru watched the mercenary stomping even from the long cloak.

"Everyone, get on a horse." Ike found a some of the horses in a random farm. Four regular brown horses all leashed on a wooden fence. They all got on a horse without a second thought. None of them wanted to face Ike's bitchiness. Robin stopped his tracks shook his head. "You guys can go, I'm going to explore this place a little more. Come on, Lucina."

Lucina pouted because she wanted to be with her Marth-sama. Fortunately, she obeyed and followed.

"Alright bye bye. . ." Miru said.

"Is it too late to turn back. . .?" Marth sighed.

Peach and Samus watched the group from afar.

"They're crazy." Samus shook her head. Peach nodded.

"Agreed, Sammy. But it looks like a lot of fun!"

"Poyo!" Kirby puffed on top of Peach's head for the heck of it.

"Kirby, you think you can spy on them?" Samus asked the puffball.

"No problemo!" Kirby puffed out of Peach's head and trailed them like Snake in the shadows.

(oOoOoOo)

"You call this taking a walk?" Makato crossed her arms with an annoyed expression, as both her and Mikoru were in a carriage. Mikoru kept his mono look straight ahead to where he could see the back of the horse.

"It's too hot to take a walk. I don't want to ruin my skin for the big wedding."

"We're not getting married. Don't get the wrong idea."

"What about your parents-?" He smirked.

"Don't put my parents into this!" Makato's voice was getting even louder and hearing him made her frustrated. Mike and Jacob followed the slow carriage ride right behind as guards. Mike enjoyed eavesdropping from their conversation that they were having.

"Wow, they sound like a married couple already." Mike smiled.

"I hope they pick a chocolate cake for their wedding," Jacob said.

Mike let out a giddy laugh, slapping his back a couple of times. "What are you saying? It gotta be the vanilla!"

"Where are we going?" Makato asked.

"The main town of Niho. Where we can go sight seeing of our new utopia. You may see your dead friends along the way." Mikoru laughed at the end. Makato sighed angrily and continued to face the small open view beside her.

"So where are we actually going?" Marth asked Ike.

"To rain hell at the castle. Why did we steal these horses, Roy?"

"I didn't say anything, though. . ." Roy commented beside him.

"Stealing is wrong." The Dragon Boy said, riding alongside with Miru.

"Shut up, Drag Queen Boy!"

"I have a name you know!"

"I don't give a ffffffuck!" Ike shouted to the dragon boy's face.

"Someone is coming!" Miru loudly whispered to his horse crew. Everyone immediately stopped their sprinting horses.

"I don't see anything." Ike stopped his horse before he went ahead of the others.

Marth smacked the back of Ike's head. "Just listen dammit! We're already doing something we shouldn't be doing!"

"Hide over there!" Miru pointed to a couple of thick trees on the side. Everyone moved their horses alongside with them to the trees. A large carriage appeared to their view; fancy and round like Cinderella's carriage. A Dark Knight was riding a black horse connecting to the carriage, controlling the direction.

"It's a carriage. . . Oh my God, that scared me to death. . ." Marth sighed in relief.

"Looks pretty neat. . . I'm guessing it came from the castle. . ." Miru said.

"We need a plan to raid it." Ike adjusted his sword under his cape.

"Once it comes in closer, we'll attack it." Miru agreed with Ike.

"Um, who's- -where's the other guy?" Dragon Boy asked sheepishly. Marth turned to him and looked around his surroundings.

"Where? Oh-! You mean Roy. . ."

"HOLY FUCK! GET OUT OF THE ROAD YOU DUMB KNIGHT!"

"STOP THE CARRIAGE!" Roy shouted, using his hands to make a stop sign to the Dark Knight in charge of driving the carriage. He was left no choice but to pull his horse into a complete stop. The horse growled at Roy and stopped his hooves. Ike, Marth, Miru, and the dragon boy took a peek at the scene, seeing Roy in front of the incoming carriage.

"Why did it stop. . .?" Mikoru still had his arms crossed. Makato ignored him and kept looking out the window.

"Roy that #*($*%!" Ike lashed out.

"You never censor your curse words. . ." Marth glanced at Ike. Ike smiled his creepy grin toward Marth.

"Do you really want to know what I said?"

"On second thought-" Marth looked away from Ike and continued to watch Roy.

"EXCUSE ME, SIR, WE NEED DIRECTIONS TO THE CASTLE, PLEASE! DO YOU HAVE A MAP WITH YOU?" Roy shouted at the man. The two Dark Knights that were following the carriage went up ahead to Roy.

"Are you an Elite Dark Knight?" Jacob approached him with his emo look. Roy let out a disgusted expression and shook his head.

"No, but we have one with us. . . the dragon boy." Roy looked back at his fellow companions and the dragon boy was pushed to the scene, being completely out of hiding.

"Oh! That guy! He's so weird! I thought he was dead from the explosion along with the Smashers!" Mike laughed.

"Smashers?" Makato overheard that word which made her want to see who was talking.

"Well, I came from two families after all. . . hahaha. . ." Dragon Boy rubbed his hoodie.

"Oh, get out of there! I know you're hiding!" Mike was referring to the group from the trees. Ike cursed silently.

"I knew we should just abandon them and do a sneak one shot attack." Marth silently regretted. In the end, they all relieved themselves out to Mike, lining up with Roy and the dragon boy.

"Hahaha! There's five of you?! Wow. . ." Mike observed their faces closely and crossed his arms. "I hate to ask but, why you guys want to go to the castle?"

"TO SEND MIKORU TO HELL-"

"WE NEED TO TALK TO THE PRINCESS ABOUT THE WEDDING PLANS!" Dragon Boy interrupted Ike and he waved his hands frantically from Ike. Mike and Jacob looked at each other and made a small nod toward the group.

"Well, sure. . . I guess." Jacob shrugged and pointed the carriage. "The princess is in the carriage with Lord Mikoru."

The four of them couldn't express their reaction as much because of the Dark Knights. The sound of Makato's name brought them to shock and relief that she was okay.

"Unfortunately now won't be a good time for that. They're going on a walk." Mike said.

"In a carriage?" Marth arch an eyebrow, confused.

'GUYS, LET'S JUST CUT THEIR HEADS AND GET THIS OVER WITH!' Ike used telekinesis on the other guys with his angry expression. Miru shook his head and glared at him.

'BAD IDEA, IKE! MIKORU'S WITH MAKATO! THINK OF THE RISK!'

'THIS MAY BE OUR LAST CHANCE!'

"We promise the talk will be quick and snappy!" Roy crossed his fingers behind his back.

"Alright, I'll see if Lord Mikoru would say yes to that." Mike went over to the carriage while Ike silently gave Roy a thumbs up for the first time since he joined Smash.

"Lord Mikoru, a bunch of Dark Knights wants to have a chat about your wedding plans."

Mikoru's eyes lightened up from the idea. "Really? Isn't that great new Makato-"

"Shut up, don't talk to me." Makato continued to watch the side view.

"Guys, Mikoru won't say yes. He isn't as dumb as Kirby." Miru commented.

"Guys, he said yes!" Mike smiled, walking back to the five.

"WHAT?!" The five of them shouted.

"Now, let's just bring the house down. . ." Marth murmured to the group. They nodded slowly so Jacob wouldn't notice. The five of them walked toward the carriage more. Mikoru took his time to get out of the carriage. Marth was forced to stop Ike from taking any more steps.

"Where's Makato?" Ike growled quietly.

"She's there, look-" Roy pointed at Makato's pink sleeve that was exiting the carriage. In the end, she was forced to listen.

"Guys! Lower your hoodies!" Miru whispered to the group and they did as told. The five of them continued to watch Makato without making direct eye contact.

"Oh, you are alive, Drag Boi," Mikoru smirked at his presence as he walked up near them while Makato followed from behind. Ike, Marth, Miru, and Roy stood as still as possible to not rip out the disguises.

"Yes, Lord Mikoru." Dragon Boy had no choice but to fake his loyalty to him.

"Anyways," Mikoru scanned the rest of the four soldiers and looked back at the dragon boy. "Let's look for a place to sit."

(oOoOoOo)

They all sat in a comfortable place in a forest-like area that wasn't too far from the main road where the carriage was left off. Mikoru and Makato sat together. Marth and Ike sat together, perpendicular to Makato and Mikoru. Across from them were the two Dark Knights. Across from Mikoru and Makato were Roy, Miru, and Dragon Boy.

"I've been wanting to hear other opinions amongst my army. Start speaking." Mikoru ordered Dragon Boy to do so.

"Y-yes, Milord. Um, we were thinking of a public wedding. So you two can show your love in front of everyone."

"He's actually saying something smart. . ." Ike mumbled under his breath. He glanced at Makato who was staring into space, not paying attention to her surroundings whatsoever.

"I see, tell me more," Mikoru said. While they both had their conversations, the rest of them just distracted themselves with something.

"So boring. . ." Makato muttered with her head face planted on the table. Ike's heart began to race, hoping she might recognize him.

'Makato, I'm right here! Look at me!'

Makato lifted her head to the sky made a shock expression which caught Ike off guard.

"Kirby. . ." She muttered. Ike felt so offended at that point, he wanted to flip the table.

'Why does she care more about Kirby than me?! What the actual fuck?! Why does she look so surprised-?'

"OMG! I FOUND YOU JUNK SUCKERS!" Kirby came from the sky floating above them. They all immediately looked up with shocked faces. The Smashers however, had a face of a dead ghost shot multiple times to the skull.

'WE'RE FUCKED.' They all agreed in their minds.

"YOU GUYS FOUND MAKATO! GREAT! LET'S HIT AND RUUUUUUN!" Kirby landed on Ike's head and did his victory taunt over and over again with a face that was spasming the fuck out. "I JUST ATE THIS WEIRD FRUIT ALONG THE WAY AND I FEEEEL HIGH LIKE YOUR MOMMA RIDIN ON YOUR DADDY'S DIIIIICK! IKE! I THOUGHT YOU BE ALL LOVEY DOVEY WITH MAKATO RIGHT NOW! WHY ARE YOU ACTING LIKE A FUCKING NERD?! BEAT HIS ASS ALREADY! DON'T LET HIM NOTICE YOU-!"

Ike grabbed Kirby and threw him like a baseball anime with super sonic ultra speed that made Kirby go through 30 trees. No one said anything. No one did anything, yet.

Ike wiped his hands together and sat back down on his knees. "That was a demon from the underworld, I swear-"

"Seize them," Mikoru ordered. Mike and Jacob immediately got to their feets and used their magic to tie all of them up into a knot.

"Well. . . that escalated quickly. . ." Marth sighed.

"It's funny how the world works. . ." Miru sighed as well.

"I wouldn't be talking if I were you," Mike said smirking.

Makato watched them all tied up. "What in the world? First Kirby. . . and then- -I'm confused, am I dreaming?"

"Get inside the carriage," Mikoru ordered Makato.

"Why should I?" The Princess crossed her arms.

"Makato! It's us!" Roy shouted beneath the droopy hood. Makato arched an eyebrow.

"How do you know my name? Do I know you?"

"Jacob, take her away," Mikoru ordered.

"Yes, Milord." Jacob grabbed Makato's body and began to walk back to the carriage.

"Hey! Release me!" She pounded on his back, but it was not working. After Mikoru watched Makato going inside the carriage, he turned to the four fake Dark Knights and removed all of their hoods, revealing their faces and hair. Mike even managed to get Kirby and tied his whole round body with duct tape.

"Well, well well! I must applaud!" Mikoru began to make dramatic loud claps. "You survived my bomb, you disguised yourselves as my men. I didn't even notice." Mikoru gave his utmost attention toward Ike and Miru than the others. "Killing you guys will be no fun. Inviting you to my reception, nah. Locking you up till Makato finds your rotting bodies? Yea sounds nice."

"Where's my father and brother?" Miru spoke up.

"In their cells, like the Queen and King of Niho." Mikoru answered.

"Don't think this isn't over," Ike spoke. "Once I get out of there, I'm coming for your head."

"Oooh, I'm so scared! Bite me." Mikoru smirked. He turned to Mike, who bowed gracefully. "Take them to their cells."

"Yes, Milord."

"Also, I'll free you guys once I marry Makato, till then. . ." Mikoru walked away from the five of them.

"Wait, what about him?" Mike pointed to the dragon boy.

"He's with them," Mikoru replied.

(oOoOoOo)

While Zelda and Link were exploring Niho, Zelda felt rather nervous all of a sudden.

"I'm starting to think Ike did something stupid. . . " Zelda muttered quietly to Link.

"Well. . . That's all I can say. Well."

"Ugh. . ." Zelda facepalmed.
