Chapter 86: Thanksgiving Special: Part 1
Smash Mansion
November 14th
8:10 A.M
All of the Smashers, new or old, must come for breakfast in the dining room which will include a short meeting for the Thanksgiving party. Usually, Mario wouldn't hold meetings about Thanksgiving, but because of some difficulties, it was important for many of the Smashers to know.
Breakfast was already prepared, and some people took their early seats with their pajamas on.
"Thanksgiving! I love Thanksgiving!" Pit wore a white, cotton onesie that also covered his wings. "The pilgrims, turkeys, everything!"
"What's a Thanksgiving, mate?" Shulk was next to Pit, while he poured himself a cup of coffee.
"I thought it was a sport when I first heard it." Link said next to Shulk.
"It's a harvest festival that is celebrated by the pilgrims!" Pit said. "Ah~, I'm sooo excited!"
"What the hell you talking about?" Dark Pit crossed his arms while chewing a donut. "There are no pilgrims here-"
"Well, that's because they're all dead, silly! Hahaha," Pit patted his head, and Dark Pit swiped it away immediately.
"Wait, we're not even American. . . why do we even celebrate it?"
"Other countries celebrate it!"
"We're fucking angels-!"
"Who cares! It's like this: you don't have to be Jewish to celebrate Hanukkah." Pit pointed out.
"Yea, you do, what the fuck?!"
"No, you don't!"
"Anyways, Thanksgiving is basically a party with free food. That's all you need to know." Link said to Shulk.
"Oh. . . um ok." The Brit decided to laugh it off and continue eating his breakfast.

"I have some good news for this year's Thanksgiving, and it doesn't involve Kirby blowing up the house again." Mario started the news when he saw a fair amount of people in the dining room.
"Aww," Kirby said, circling his bowl of cereal.
"Someone's family in this mansion is inviting us to join their celebration. It's a good news for us because they're one of the richest families we'll ever know. Would you like to please stand up for everyone to see your face?"
"Do I have to-?"
"So it was you, huh?" Pac Man elbowed his roommate.
He nodded shyly, "Yes, I received a letter from my family(s), but I'm afraid it's a bad idea but-"
Pac Man leaned over to his ear on his tippy red boots, "Come on, this is your chance to prove your stay here and increase your reputation because so far everyone hates you, at least the old veteran Smashers."
"You're right. Thank you." He then smiled and stood up for everyone, small to big, nice to scary to see his face which dripped some sweat.
"ARE YOU FUCKIN KIDDIN-?!" The angry mercenary was caught off by his right-hand man, who silenced him with a frying pan.
"Oh! Corrin!" Marth pretended everything he did 10 seconds ago was nothing but false memories in everyone's brains.
"Oh, that guy," Miru said.
"Him?" Roy widened his eyes. "He's rich? Really? I thought he was poor and that's why he joined the Dark Knights."
"That's new," Zelda whispered over to Samus who agreed.
"He's mocking us. . . I hate him." Link murmured.
"But, he has no shoes," Kirby said. "He's poor."
"You're wearing no shoes yourself," Yoshi said.
"I MEANT HUMAN FEET YOU REJECTED BARNEY OC!"
"Where's his Yeezys collection then? HUh? HuUuUuUuuuUUuuuuuH?" Ness questioned.
"I don't buy it," Fox said.
"Same." Falco said.
"Can't we all just shut up and take in the blessings?!" Mario shouted for everyone to keep their mouths shut. "So, anyways, Corrin's family from both Hoshido and Nohr have invited us for a Thanksgiving party. I have the address and it's a pretty long drive where we coming from. All we have to do is invite our friends and families and bring in a dish of your choice. They prefer if it's homemade so keep that in mind. Drinks are already provided, so no need for that. It'll be like a potluck: we bring food, we eat. We don't bring food, we don't eat.
"Make sure we all prepare ourselves for this fun holiday which includes dressing up well, whether classy European or traditional Japanese. Apparently, their families are still segregated, yet they have the same brother. Don't ask why it's a bad family history thing. Don't dress both European and Japanese because you'll end up disgracing both families. That's all."
The Smashers continued to mingle amongst each other and seemed the idea of a Thanksgiving potluck didn't sound bad. Some of them questioned Corrin's weird family with an unsolved family grudge against each other, but it didn't stop a few daredevil Smashers from dressing both European and Japanese.

After the breakfast meeting, the one thing on some people's minds was who to invite and what kind of food to bring. The deadline was in a week for everyone to prepare themselves for this exciting event from their ex-enemy.
"I guess my little sister can come. . . maybe Soren, Oscar, Titania and some other Greil mercenaries that I forgot. . . Maybe Mia, Micaiah, Sothe. . .Yune, can't forget Yune." Ike took his time to brainstorm on who to bring and Marth was shocked to see him taking the time and thought on this one holiday.
Marth adjusted his seating on Ike's bed. "Wow, Ike, I never seen you so focused. . . I'm touched." The Hero King shed a tiny tear before brushing it off with his middle finger.
"It'll give me a good excuse for me to eat more food. . ." Ike said with his eyes glued onto the fancy Thanksgiving invitation cards.
"By the way, Ike, there's one thing I'm confused." Marth stared at the Thanksgiving invitation card that he took himself. "Which era are you talking about? Path of Radiance or Radiant Dawn?"
Ike went silent and never thought about that. "We don't speak of that nonsense-"
"It's not nonsense, it's important."
"Shut up, Marth. What about you, you orphan? Inviting anyone you know? Oh wait, they're all dead." Ike smirked, turning to the prince.
Marth kept his cool and let out a deep frustrating sigh. "Just because I don't have-" Marth was cut off from his crazy fans bursting through their room. Both Ike and Marth flinched and turned their attention to Lucina and Chrom, who seemed to be eavesdropping their conversation.
"Marth-sama, there's no need to shed any more tears cause your real family is here! I'm your family!" Lucina gleamed.
"She speaks the truth, Hero King." Chrom nodded with a grin. He then pulled out a piece of paper that showed the whole family tree of the Lowell family. Chrom pointed towards the bottom of the paper where it said "Awakening".
"If you look carefully at the family tree, we're technically related, so don't feel like you have to invite any of your ancestors with a summoning circle."
"I hate you guys," Marth said with a straight face. "There is one person who I know for certain is alive."
"Who? You?" Ike asked.
"Shut up! You'll see," Marth got up from Ike's bed and shoved Lucina and Chrom out from his way, leaving his room with the invitation card on his left hand. "I'll be back in three days."
"Wait, Marth-sama!" Lucina cried, and chased after him with Chrom. Ike stood there in gaze and shook his head. "They're all freaks. . . every single one of them." The mercenary came up with inviting only his sister and Yune, as he got up from his chair at his small desk. "Alright, I think that does it. . ."

Living Room
"I can't wait, I hope one of them at least comes." Makato sealed the invitation card with Miru's in a pink envelope with the pre-written address on the left corner of the card.
"Hmm, I wonder if my dad and bro aren't busy that time. . ." Miru said out loud. The princess handed the envelope back to Miru, and without saying a word, Miru got up from the couch.
"While I take this to the mailbox, you go talk lovey-dovey with Ike-"
"Miru, just go!" Makato's face flushed in embarrassment. He stuck his tongue out before leaving the princess on the couch.
Robin overheard their conversation while reading his romance novel downstairs. When Miru left the mansion, the tactician peeked up at the Princess out of curiosity.
"It's been rough, huh?"
Makato glanced over at him while she twiddled with her thumbs. "Yea, hoping one of your family members may show up is nerve-racking."
"That's not what I meant, but ok."
"Oh, are you not with Lucina and Chrom?" Makato usually saw the two (sometimes three) together like the musketeers, except now he was all alone.
"Oh, them? They went with Marth. Something about his friend, not entirely sure what he meant." Robin licked the tip of his finger and turned his page. "They let me all alone. . ."
Makato gazed at the cover of his light novel that showed hints of purple and blue. "Are you going to bring your family, Robin?"
"As of right now, my family is Lucina and Chrom until I can find a plan to get rid of them-"
"Good luck." Ike approached the two on the couch and sat right next to Makato, swinging an arm around her. "Lowells are. . . strange human beings."
"Of course, you just found out right now?" Robin glanced up at Ike and continued to read his book.
"I hope you don't mind me asking," Makato turned to Ike's eyes. "Are you inviting anyone?"
"Of course, my sister. . . and Yune," Ike answered.
"Yune?"
"Yea, Yune."
". . . .Who's Yune?"
"You? Jealous?" Ike covered his mouth to keep himself bursting of laughter. Makato puffed her cheeks.
"N-no! I'm just curious, that's all. Please tell me." Makato pleaded.
"Nah, you'll have to see her for yourself. You'll love her."
"If. . . you say so."
Rosalina and Palutena joined them by sitting themselves on the couch right across from them, near the large HD, TV.
"This is going to be an interesting Thanksgiving," Rosalina said to Palutena.
The goddess giggled with her hand hovering above her lips."Fufufufu, of course, my dear. If only there were no foul smells in this place that try to take away my pour, precious babies, then everything would've been twice as better!"
Bayonetta eavesdrops on their conversation from afar and couldn't help but grin. "You did you guys catch that?"
"Waaaaa!" Pit sobbed while being tied to the edge of the roof of the mansion. "I didn't hear anything!"
"This is all your fault!" Dark Pit hissed while being in the same situation.
Peach overheard them and came to the two of them. "Speaking of foul smells, I can't seem to find my Cloudy anywhere."
"How does he have to do with his smell?" Rosalina said.
"Um, try looking in the dumpsters," Palutena said. "Or the trash bin. Or at the tallest tree. I usually see him there with a piece of rope."
"Maybe he's with Daisy." Rosalina murmured.
"NO, OF COURSE NOT! I CHECKED DAISY FIVE TIMES ALREADY AND SHE'S WITH THOSE TWO VAMPIRE FREAKS! WHY WOULD HE LOVE HER WHEN HE LOVES ME?!" Peach snapped. The whole living room went silent as everyone glued their eyes to the mushroom princess.
She tried to get back into her character. "Ooop~, did I snapped?"
"Who else isn't an obsessive freak?" Ike rolled his eyes.
"To be honest, I don't think he's here. . ." Makato said, still unsure. "The last time I saw him was when he went out the door during breakfast-"
Right after she said door, Peach zoomed pass by everyone which left a stunning slam to the front door.
"And there she goes. . ." Miru came back from the mailbox, following by two small girls.
"And who are they?" Robin closed his novel and stood up on his feet, so did the rest of them. A few other Smashers came from the kitchen or the upstairs to see two new faces.
"Um. . . I don't know, they say they're Corrin's siblings." Miru answered with a shrugged. One of them had short, soft red hair with a traditional white, Japanese maiden outfit, and the other one had long, blonde, curly twintails with a Victorian-like style black and pink dress.
"They're both adorable!" Rosalina smiled.
"I agree," Makato said.
"Can I take one of them to join my heavenly choir?" Palutena grinned.
"Are they cosplaying?" Roy stood on the sideline with Shulk and Link.
"Probably, the Niko-Niko-Ni, shit." Link smirked.
"Oh, thank goodness." Corrin watched from the balcony with a huge sigh of relief. "I thought it was Takumi showing up in person. . ."
"I don't know why you're so scared, you should be grateful for having such a lovely family." Zelda patted his shoulder.
"She's right." Mario nodded.
Corrin looked at both and stared with a frown. "This is only just the beginning of my suffering."
The dragon boy then left them confused.
"Big brother!" They both looked up at their precious brother. One of them smiled shyly and the other smiled boldly.
"Hi, Sakura, Elise." Corrin met up with them as he took his time walking down the stairs. "Why. .. are you guys here? Did Xander and Ryoma sent you two?"
"Big Brother Xander wanted you to wear this! It's for the Thanksgiving party!" Elise showed the neat package present and handed it over to Corrin. "He wanted you to present the Nohrian Royalty."
"O-oh? Okay. . ."
"Wait, Big Brother Ryoma also wanted you to wear this-" Sakura showed him a folded, soft-colored kimono wrapped in a handmade red cloak. "To show that you're a proud Hoshidian."
"O-oooh? Okay. . . Great. . ." Corrin was in distress. "W-well tell them I said thank you and arigato. . . Safe trip back, home okay?"
"Ok!" They both squeezed their brother tightly before being escorted out by Miru. Once he closed the door, Corrin's panic attacks began. He dropped to his knees.
"I'm fucked."
"Yea, since you were born. Your whole fate has been fucked up." Ike laughed. "And your families whatever your harem is, don't look as threatening as they look."
"No, you don't get it." Corrin tightened his eyes closed. "I have to choose one of these outfits! One!"
"Daaaamn, I can't feel you but. . ." Roy scratched his hair and shrugged. "I would personally go for the one that fits well."
Makato went up to Corrin. "Can't you wear both of them at different times?"
"It's taboo. They'll kill me."
Kirby randomly appeared from the sky and floating gently to Corrin. Everyone looked at Kirby with a weird look on their faces.
"I know a place for refugees like you. Follow me, and I'll take you to a place filled with salvation." Kirby whispered.
Corrin looked up at the small puffball with watered eyes. "R-really?"
"Yep. It'll be a low payment of $69 because who doesn't love 69?"
He slouched more of his back, as he went from disgusted to super disgusted. "Nevermind."
"Hmm. . . I think I got the perfect solution." Robin shooed away Kirby and reached for Corrin's hand. He looked up with watery, red eyes and took his hand, as the tactician helped him up on his two feet.
"Meet me at my room tomorrow night, an hour before midnight. I'll set everything up by then. You'll be able to wear two outfits without overlapping."
A/N: End of part one! Thanks for reading! Till next time.
