Chapter Eight: A hero is born
The ghoulish townsfolk watch in sheer and utter horror as the black beast rampage at the castle, his green fiery breath burns all within the halls who dare to either run or fight, knights and rebels, soldiers and peasants join arms in order to face this monstrosity.
The roars of the dragon echo long and far as frightened people ran seeking shelter, Aragon drunk in his own power turns his evil gaze over to the village, his long black wings spread letting him soar over the castle's high walls.
Hellfire rain down over the decrepit houses, followed by the ghoulish screams of terrorized people who burned away leaving nothing more than a pile of cinders while the knight troops rush with swords in hand towards the beast.
Archers prove to be far more useful than the valiant knights, their arrow hit the dragon piercing its soft belly, though far too many arrows bounced off the steel hard scales, and soon under green flames the knights met their doom.
"Falleth to me dragon"- The knights yelled out as they rushed towards the towering beast.
None knew from where the beast came out from, all they knew was, that it had to die no matter what. By the dozens soldiers, knights and rebels were toss away with a single tail whip, crashing on the floor or the stone walls leaving nothing but a green stain.
Giants rocks flew towards the dragon hitting him in the back and his wings, forcing the beast to turn towards where the attack had come from. Aragon spotted three catapults that were being ready over the courtyard.
With a wicked smile, he rushes over to the medieval artillery, nonetheless, more archers from the city wall let loose to their arrows, the beast opens its massive jaws more annoyed than harm making the undead fear for their lives as they saw the green flames gathering within.
Though before Aragon could spit its terrible fire a sudden pain overcomes its left leg, an oversized arrow the size of a man had penetrated his thigh, peasants looked in disbelief as a handful of knights along the traitor rebels ready the "Scorpion."
The dragon looks over at the oversize arrow stuck within his leg as green blood poured out from the wound, following gut instinct he tore it out along some flesh before setting ablaze the archers and rushing over to the Scorpion.
The ghoulish knights and the heinous traitors scream in agony as the flames took their afterlife. Cobblestone houses shake at the thunderous steps of the beast forcing men and women to run away while Aragon laughs maniacally at his burning kingdom, never had the town guard ever since such a monster before.
No infernal beast from the forest and beyond not even the flying whales could compare to the monster that came from the hell within hell. It might beyond comparing, only the legendary from ancient times could face such hell.
The grand castle which was once the pride of the kingdom was in shatters, the market and houses were nothing more than a sea of green fires. People ran desperately for shelter as the monster swoop them up and swallow them whole.
"Start talking princess!" –Danny orders as he puts Jazz behind him.
Vlad crosses his arms around his chest as he was far too annoyed to take any more medieval nonsense while peasants and farmers armed with pitchforks and few random swords looked at the anger Halfas but the princess showed courage by walking closer to Vlad.
"Please noble knights, help our people stop the mad prince Aragon"- the princess said as she kneels down.
"And why should we help you?"- Jazz replied as she recalled how the princess was about to force her to marry the mad prince.
"That's a very good question."- Danny added sending a glare at the undead princess.
Danny had come only to save his beloved sister, not to save a town of ghosts from a dragon, Vlad also didn't want to help them out as he too only came for Jazz. The princess lifts her head and looks straight at Jazz.
Dorothea knew she had done nothing to help the redhead, even looking away and yet she still had the audacity to plea for their help, the ghost princess remains on her knees as she looks at Jasmine with pleading eyes.
"Please, I beg of you, you can do with me whatever you want, torture me, defile me or throw to darkest pit, but please save my people and free us from this curse." The princess pleaded.
Vlad stared at Jazz and Danny for a moment before agreeing to help them stop Aragon, though Danny and his older sister turn over to him with undignified expressing while demanding an explanation as to why they should help the very same people who kidnapped Jazz and tried to force her to marry their prince.
"Listen little badger, if they fail to stop the prince, he'll come for Jazz all over again"- the man said. "We have to stop him."-
The younger Halfa knew he couldn't afford to have the prince live beyond this day, his death would mean peace for his sister and for the townsfolk of Ghost Zone. Taking Jazz in his arms, he too agrees to help them even if he abhors the idea.
The ghost boy askes what is going on, and why did Aragon suddenly transforms into a giant dragon. Vlad added his own questions as he was more interested in knowing about the so-called curse Dorothea mentioned earlier.
"The amulet of Aragon, lets whoever wears it change into a dragon, but it can only be done if the blood of the daughter of the lord of shadow is cast upon it"- the princess answered.
"The amulet of Aragon? Are you serious? Why didn't you call it something like the pendants of the dragon?"- Jazz retorted raising her arms.
"We'll consider it next time someone creates an apocalyptic device… and the prince was named after the amulet."- Dora retorted trying to hide her annoyance.
The princess explains how the amulets were made many centuries ago by powerful wizards in order to destroy king Pariah Dark and bring an end to his horrible empire, putting a stop to his conquest of all the realms.
"So, who's this Lord of Shadows?"- Jazz asked looking straight into Dora's dead eyes.
"He is the one who created our world, our god. He marks his most beloved daughters with red hair, red like his fire"- the princess replied.
The sole idea of interdimensional gods and hellish empires was such a strange and foreign concept for Jazz, though she found it most annoying to have been chosen for a simple religious belief and not due to her having any sort of magic or by following an ancient prophecy.
Jazz knew there are hundreds if not thousands of girls with natural red hair back in the States which made her realized that she was chosen randomly as there was no way she could fit with the disgusting beauty standards of this godforsaken lane, in the end, she was a commodity.
It was then that the redhead remembered having read somewhere about medieval people believing how red hair was linked to devil-worshipping, witchcraft and other heinous themes, back then many women were burned alive just for being born with red hair.
All within the room suddenly when quiet upon hearing Aragon's loud roaring echo throughout the realm. Dora peaked out of the garden and saw her brother heading over to the town, she knew Aragon was blood drunk.
"The beast is out of control."- Dora said fearing for her people.
Power and an almost infinite amount of rage made the beast, along with a never-ending blood lust fueled its movement. A peasant ran into the garden telling the princess that the dragon was being faced off by the royal guard and the rebels.
Aragon's dragon transformation wasn't by any means part of the ritual, it was originally meant as a last defense against Pariah Dark and according to Dora had only been used once in their history with horrific results.
The ghost boy was reluctant in calling for his friend for backup but both Halfas in their current state would be slaughter by the monster, yet upon calling in for help through his radio, all Danny could get was no more than static, he knew the device was working, it just couldn't get the signal out.
Vlad tried as well to contact the teenagers but still got the same results as Danny, the princess told them that no device created outside the city walls would work for long due to the curse her brother cast over the land.
"Aragon cursed our kingdom 800 years ago, he calls upon the court wizards and with the help of a Time Medallion he stole for the master of time, Clockwork himself, created a strange machine that covered our land in an invisible cloak." the ghostly princess explained.
"What does this machine do?"- Vlad questioned.
"It loops time every century"- the blonde-haired woman replied. "Of course, using a sacrifice"- she added looking over to Jazz.
The mad prince needed a sacrifice each time so he may restart time all over again, Aragon wanted to relive his years of glory no matter what, the war victories, the conquest, and above all his mighty defense against the now long-forgotten king Pariah Dark, but for that to happen, he needed a sacrifice, a virgin daughter of the lord of Shadows.
"Virgin? So, if Danny and I would've fuck, none of this would be happening"- Jazz said crudely making her brother blush.
"Umm, well… Aragon needs to do this every century but he always begins preparations a year prior, he may be many things but he is no fool"- the princess replied.
It embarrassed the princess to know it took her almost one thousand and six hundred years to notice something was wrong, only Aragon could remember the time loop each time it happened, little by little her memories came to her though managed to keep it a secret, for she feared what her brother might do to her if the truth came out.
Dorothea had planned on killing the prince so many decades ago but the time device was her major concern, if she were to fail then Aragon could simply restart time using his most recent sacrifice and the princess wouldn't even remember her rebellion. Of course, would still face the most brutal punishment.
The plan was simple at best, she was to murder her own brother at the so-called wedding but had she failed as was the case then her men would strike at the knights and hopefully take over the castle before Aragon knew what was going on.
In the confusion Dora and her men would rush towards where she believes rest the time machine her brother created and destroyed it, finally freeing her people from the cursed time loop but nothing worked as plan and now a dragon roams her lands.
Centuries of servitude to her brother and the fact the women of the kingdom were treated as mere commodities, something to trade, and where cattle were treated better than any female servant made the princess very doubtful of getting Jasmine's help as she had imagined the girl to be just as submissive as any other woman from the kingdom.
There was always the possibility of the redhead siding with Aragon, lured in by the empty promise of a luxurious lifestyle at the castle. Yet Dora was most impressed by Jazz's defiant attitude towards the prince whom everyone feared.
Jazz's strong will was something she hadn't seen before, and the knights of Amity who came to her rescue gave a glim sense of hope despite her failure. With their help the kingdom would be free from Aragon's curse, never had the princess ever bow to anyone aside from her brother, and yet for the first time, she kneels to Jasmin as she begs her forgiveness.
She knew that without the help of the Amity Park knights all would be lost, especially now that Aragon had called upon his dragon form, only her dark gods knew in what century would there be another chance, the princess was clinging to the idea that both legendary Halfas were serving under Jazz and desperately needed to get into her good grace.
"Brave knights of Amity and noble lady Jasmine, I once more asked for your help"- the princess begged on her knees.
"Fine! I'll deal with Aragon." Danny said as he turns over to Vlad, "Listen, man, I still don't trust these guys, you go with Jazz to this time machine thing and destroy it"- Danny basically order.
Dorothea and her rebels watch stun as they were all under the impression that Vlad was Danny's master, and yet there he was willing to obey the boy and follow his plan, the youngling would charge head-on while the older Halfa disables the time machine with Jazz's help along with keeping her safe.
But even the mighty Halfa from legends and songs would have a hard time fighting off a dragon, therefore, Dorothea offered the assistance of his brave rebels though Phantom wondered just how useful they would be against such beast.
Before leaving to confront the dreaded dragon, Phantom turns over to his sister and looks straight into her celestial blue eyes. Vlad couldn't help but look away as the two teenagers shared a kiss while Dorothea blushed madly at the sight before her eyes.
Unlike the kissing the princess had seen throughout her many years, this one seems was kind, gentle, and above all filled with love, never had she seen such a pure expression of sincere love and care, it made her un-beating heart skip a beat.
Phantom flew out of the inner garden through a window near the ceiling, none of the present aside from Vlad and Jazz had ever seen someone soring the skies like the winged beasts, and to that matter without wings.
"Legends are true after all."- the undead princess whispered. "And fairy tale knights do exist."- she added looking at Danny.

Consumed by the dragon's fury, the town was set ablaze by hellish green flames which ate all in its path. The proud prince was reduced to nothing more than a mindless beast. Traitor rebels and loyal knights felt the undiscriminating ferocity of his flames.
The brief war between the rebels and the knights had come to an end as the beast before their undead eyes was a far greater threat, side by side they stood against the monster despite their non-existing possibility of winning.
Peasants took refuge in their decrepit homes using pitchforks and small knives for protection, terrified children place iron pots and buckets over their heads in a vain attempt to protect themselves while the warriors challenge Aragon.
"Handeth me the spear!"- a peasant rebel ordered to a knight.
The knight knew better than to question the man as time was of the essence, both the knight and the rebel set the spear on a "Scorpion." But a single spear would do nothing against the steel harden scales of the dragon but it was better than standing idle.
Both undead men froze in their spots upon seeing Aragon turned over to them unleashing his greens flames leaving nothing more than ash. Large rocks hit on Aragon's head making him turn in anger only to see several more coming his way.
The catapults and scorpions that once defended the walls of his great castle were now being used against him, yet he could barely feel the rocks or the oversize arrow. Not even the dozens of arrows send his way by the wall archers could produce any harm.
"Where's the princeth and the ladie of fireth?!"- the knight captain asked.
"I doth naught knoweth master."- another knight replied with a quivering voice. "Master, the citie is lost."- said the knight as he stares at the beast.
No one knew where the creature came from and worst yet was that their "beloved" prince was nowhere to be seen, though several peasants rudely commented about their lord being already eaten by the monster.
The dragon set the town ablaze and there was nothing mere knights in old rusty armors could do, much less the poor peasants in their silly made up armor. Soon the catapults and scorpions were turned into ash.
The moment Aragon turns his attention towards the knights at the courtyard made them all shiver in fear as they knew their end was at hand. With sword and pike, they ready to confront the monster knowing all too well it was pointless.
There was no running away or hiding anymore, that time had long left them. All the knights and rebels could do was wait for the worst and yet a sense of pride overtook them as all clashed together in a turtle formation, if they were to die, they would do so as warriors and not as cowards.
Aragon opens its gigantic snout and green flames gathered among his teeth making the peasants fall to the ground as their legs didn't answer to the call of fleeing, even the mighty knights who served bravely in the conquest couldn't move.
(XXXXX)
"Over here!"- A childish voice exclaimed.
A powerful ecto energy ray struck Aragon's snout making him swallow his own flames, the beast choked on the flames and fumes of his hellish fires forcing him to turn away, both rebel and knight look in silence as a black armor knight softly landed on the courtyard.
"It's an Amity knight…"- the knight captain commented.
Everyone looked in silence at the small figure cladded in black armor, his white hair shines bright and a glowing green afterglow disappeared from his right hand. Some knights fell on their knees as only those of royal bloodlines could wield magic.
But this little knight strokes the monster with a ray of magic so powerful that it stops its own attack. The knights and rebels watched in awe as green blood dripped down from the dragon's snout making them realized that he wasn't invincible.
"Look at him… never had I seen hair that white…"- said a knight as his courage and bravado came back.
Undead eyes widen as they witness Danny lifting from the ground. Moving faster than any winged creature, the boy dove under Aragon while slicing his belly with an energy sword that opens lightly his hardened skin.
"Ready thyselves for a hero has been born!"- A lonely voice cried out.
Aragon whips Danny away with his tail the moment the boy flew near it crushing him against the stone wall. Not wasting a single second, the dragon unleashed his flames over Phantom making all the knights and rebels seeing the fight shiver.
The monster ceases his brutal attack only to see a small green translucid glass in front of Danny, in the short time he spent with Vlad let Danny learned a great deal of new tricks including Vlad's energy shield.
"You fucking overfed lizard!"- Danny screamed at the top of his lungs.
Filled with homicidal rage, Aragon crushes his large and deadly claws onto the stone wall and crumbling a large piece of wall between his fingers. Yet no Danny was to be found within the rubble but instead, an energy ray came out from the crushed rock.
The blast hit Aragon's eye violently pushing his head away as he began to sway both arms around in an effort to take Danny out. Rebels and knights alike began to cheer as they saw the monster wounded.
"Prepareth the catapults and the scorpions!"- the captain ordered as Danny began to fly higher.
From his high position in the strange sky, Danny began his barrage. One energy ray after another rained down over the massive beast who shriek in pain upon being impacted though not a single knight dares to approach rather, they attack with their primitive weapons.
Spears and rocks didn't even make Aragon flinch upon being attack by them, the monster didn't even care to look over to his attackers, the cruel prince was much more interested in killing Danny more than anything else.
With a single flicker of his head, Aragon fire hose the sky where Danny was floating at forcing Phantom dove down once more as Aragon continue with his hellish flames burning everything in his path, the dry and death trees didn't stand a chance to flames nor did the rebels and knights who were all burned to a crisp within a second.
Even if Danny despises these undead people, he couldn't tolerate seeing them go up in flames either. It wasn't their fault that his beloved sister was in this horrid mess and they were in the middle of hell itself but that because of prince Aragon.
Danny steeled his heart as all that matters was to get rid of Aragon and make sure no one would ever come chasing after his Jasmine. Even if it means staining his hands with more undead blood. The boy took cover under a small bridge trying to understand how to fight the dragon, never before had he face such an abomination.
"Think, Danny… think"- the boy whispered as he looks at the dragon.
Attacking him with energy rays would only drain him in the long run and the hard scales made it especially difficult to land proper a punch on the creature. Even swords, spears and siege weapons couldn't do anything against such a beast.
It was then that he noticed several dozens of knights and rebels rushing against the monster, his mere presence had sent a moral boast like no other. The beast was bleeding and visibly tired which encourage everyone to attack.
"I can do this."- Danny added as he flew towards Aragon.

While Danny faces the mighty dragon, Jazz and Vlad both followed Dorothea down a hot and damp tunnel leading further into the castle's forgotten areas. Only the dim lights from the torches in the hands of the undead rebels guided them.
Old stones with mold growing in between made the scenery, Jazz wanted nothing to do with these people. Just a few days ago she was just a normal teenager with a happy life despite an unwanted car accident that left her with memory loss.
The redhead wasn't sure what was more disturbing, the clattering of the makeshift armors or the ghoulish faces of the wearers. It was nothing short of a zombie movie with cheap makeup but these creatures were real.
"Tell me, princess. Do you all look like this because of the curse?"- Bluntly asked the redhead.
"Whatever do you mean by that?"- Dorothea asked.
Vlad simply smiles as he gently shakes his head as he found it quite amusing that Jazz thought the denizens of this horrid world would look like regular humans. For them, this is normal though having a dragon attack is a strange happening even by their standards.
Everyone suddenly stops upon feeling a light tremor which let some dust came down from the ceiling. Jazz knew her boyfriend was still out there fighting with the monster; she knew Danny had some secrets but never had she even begin to imagine something so serious.
"We must hurry!"- Princess Dorothea exclaimed more out of fear than anything else.
Jazz couldn't care any less for these strange humanoid abominations who kidnapped her and tried to marry her to their malevolent prince, but if risking her life to destroy the time machine meant stopping the dragon then it was well worth the risk.
The deeper Jazz delves into the dark tunnel the hotter and harder to breathe it became. Though the princess nor her ghoulish rebels didn't seem to mind the heat or the lack of air, Vlad more or less understood that given their "undead" state meant they could handle these conditions.
Before their eyes stood a large and thick stone door clearly not made by the strange denizens of the Ghost Zone but perhaps by creatures far older and more hideous than those who live in such a horrible world.
There was no time to gawk at the serpent-like decorations the door held or the stone statues of a hooded creature with a head far too round to be normal though there was nothing in this world that could fall under the normality standards for both Jazz and Vlad.
"Now what?"- Jazz asked rather defiantly.
"Dread not Lady of fire. We simply need to open it but..."- the princess.
"There's no time for more puzzles."- the older Halfa added with an annoyed voice.
The princess remained in silence as she saw the brave Amity knight crush onto the stone door failing at his attempted to phase through it, even Jazz who hardly could recall who the man beyond being her boyfriend's father averted her eyes in embarrassment.
"As I was saying we need to power the crystals of life with dark energy."- Princess Dorothea said trying to ignore the silly blunder her would-be hero just committed.
"Makes sense to me. Where in the hell do we get that energy?"- Jazz questioned as she crosses her arms while Vlad gets up from the floor rubbing his nose in frustration.
The redhead was more than ready to knock Dora's lights out if she were to say they forgot to bring such energy or needed to get it through unspeakably hard means in this dark and humid dungeon. Jazz couldn't care any less for their internal struggles and just wanted to go home with Danny.
Dora could feel the Jazz's hard and cold glare on the back of her neck which made her shiver slightly despite looking down on her previously. The undead princess didn't like this change of roles as it made her feel as if she were once again in her brother's grasp.
As they looked upon the stone gate Dora explained how the only one in the kingdom with enough power to open the stone gates was none other than Prince Aragon as no one else in the kingdom possessed such power, not even knight Lancelot.
"Then where do we get that energy from?"- Asked Jazz.
"With this."- Princess Dora produces a small crystal.
This was her main goal, to destroy the time device and free her people even if she failed to kill her brother. The undead princess shoved the crystal into a slot in the middle of the stone door, Jazz and Vlad looked in awe as the door glowed in bright green before vanishing before their eyes.
The room was vast with several hundred meters wide in a perfect circle, hideous decorations were plastered on the walls which were so high that it made Jazz wonder how deep down they actually were, a dozen thick columns surrounded a small lake in the middle of the room.
Within stood a bizarre machine that resembled a gigantic tower compose exclusively of gears and clockwork, all moving in perfect synchrony. It was like watching the interior of a clock that greatly impressed both Jazz and Vlad who hadn't seen anything remotely similar.
"If you will please destroyed this heretic device."- Dora asked of Vlad.
The older man wondered if there would dire consequences for destroying the machine such as permanently distorting time itself. His doubts vanished upon recalling it only affected Aragon's kingdom, many ghosts that attacked Amity had modern weapons and no one had mentioned this place before.
From the shadows came out a creature sending shivers up Jazz's spine due to its grotesquery. Taller than Vlad with a single snake-like tail, two long arms that ended in five abnormally long fingers with claws.
It was a grotesque creature though its most distinctive feature was his missing head, for it had been replaced with a single enormous eye. There was no mouth to be seen anywhere, it wore a long cape and clothes with a Victorian style.
"This machine was designed by the dark lord himself and powered by the blood of his daughter."- the creature spoke. "I can't let you destroyed it."-

Sam stood at the cave's entrance unable to believe what her eyes were seeing through her binoculars. A giant black dragon stood in the middle of town raining green flames over the houses as armored warriors tried their best to fend it off.
Their efforts were all for naught as the monster's swap through as if they were mere insects, horrid green flames engulfed the war machines and undead warriors' lung into their demise as there was no victory in sight.
Even Tucker who stood just a few steps away from Sam remained with his mouth ajar upon seeing the walking hell. Sure enough, there were beasts of unspeakable nature within the Ghost Zone and though a dragon should be the least strange it was the most intimidating.
The goth turned over to her friend with an expression that told him to get back in the speeder and get ready to haul ass. It was at that moment that the sounds of heavy metal drew their attention, rushing up the steep were several knights.
"Sam, what the fuck are you doing?"- Tucker whispered upon seeing his goth friend reading her ecto energy rifle.
The girl wasn't looking for a fight but didn't have the intention of playing the damsel in distress either, she cocked her rifle and aimed the cannon up high while puffing up her chest in copying the same pose as her movie heroes.
Without a warning, an arrow flew right next to her head, only missing by a few inches which made Tucker fell on the ground with a horrified expression drawn on his face for he had seen and even felt death's kiss.
Sam lowered her rifle and unleased a series of laser like beams towards the knights in rusted armor. The metal clanked loud as a few random shots managed to hit them, two undead fell to the ground. The girl and the undead looked at the fallen for a moment in utter silence.
A pool of green blood was forming around the two "dead" knights who fell to Sam's bullets, her eyes open wide as she couldn't believe what she had done. Sam had shot ghosts many times before with no such results, most ran away in pain.
Her feet suddenly felt heavy and her breathing was uneven as she watched the corpses soaking the ground with their blood, soon one of the knights raised his sword forcing the rest of his men to rallied together sending shivers up Sam and Tucker's spines.
The undead knights pressed their shields together forming a shield wall as their long rusty swords protrude from the slits, Tucker raised his rifle demanding them to put down their weapons but his cracking voice made his threats sound weak and empty which in reality were.
Tucker tried his very best to keep his rifle steady as he put the middle shield in his red dot sights and noticed a dragon-like insignia that for a moment made him wonder if their king had summoned the black dragon to fight against Danny.
His hands tremble as he aimed at the shield wall and even took a step back as the undead begun marching in silence towards him, both teens were sure the knights had seen the kind of power they wielded which under normal circumstance would have sent anyone especially someone from the thirteen-century running away while screaming.
"They're not alive…"- Tucker muttered. "They zombies"- he added.
Tucker let out a deep and long exhale as he squeezed the trigger once letting a small burst of energy base bullets to impact on the first shield. Green blood sprayed on the air before the knight fell on his back.
It was then that the knights dropped their large shields and lunged towards the teens while holding their long rusty swords overhead and shrieking like beasts, Sam and Tucker turn around filled with fear as they ran back towards the Speeder as fast as their legs could carry them.
Despite the heavy and cumbersome armor, the undead was fast on their feet and quickly catching up to the teens who were forced to stop and open fire in turns just to make sure the ghoulish knights couldn't reach them before entering the Spector speeder.
Undead men rapidly surrounded the airship and strike their blades on the metallic sheets in an effort to gain entry into the vehicle as its radical design didn't allow them to figure out where the door was located at much less since they had not seen where Sam and Tucker enter.
Sam and Tucker shivered upon hearing the loud clacking of metal striking metal accompanied by the hellish screams. The duo witness with horrified eyes as a long piece of rusted yet sharpen metal pierce through.
"Get this heap of junk moving or we're dead meat."- Sam ordered shoving Tucker towards the controls.
The two teens suddenly stopped upon seeing a single undead knight standing over the nose cone with his sword drawn out, yet the creature was gently shoving the glass mesmerized by the transparent wall before him.
It was then that the ghoulish creature rose his sword overhead and swung it down with dreadful might only for the blade to bounce off making him lose his footing. Tucker rushed over to the controls taking advantage of the creature's sudden loss of balance.
Without waiting for Sam to take a seat, Tucker activated the machine and lifted off the ground speeding out of the cave. In a matter of second did the ghoulish knight fell off the speeder though no sound could be heard.
"On mine own hon'r yond i has't seen a flying carriage"- a ghoulish voice said as they saw the Spector Speeder flying away.

Jazz jumped to her side pulling Dora down and away from a red laser beam that grazed her side, the black wedding dress she was forced to wear had been weighing her down since the start. The redheaded didn't want to wait for the monster to attack and yanked the princess by her already filthy dress.
The two girls took cover behind one of the large columns but Jazz noticed how the creature turned his attention towards the men at arms who were rushing at him swinging their swords and axes overhead while screaming angrily.
"What the hell is that thing?!"- Jazz demanded to know as several undead were scorched down.
"I do not know. Never had I seen anything like its kind before!"- Dora replied with a terrified voice.
The eye-head monster fired his red energy beam towards Vlad who counter with his trusty energy shield but even so, the blast was so powerful that even the older halfa was tossed away, crashing into the stone wall.
The man knew better than to charge head-on at the strange creature for it could simply blast him away with its powerful energy rays, the man flew up high and fire his ecto-plasma ray upon seeing two men-at-arms rushing towards the eye-head creature.
Dora's warriors savagely charged at the creature only for their axes to clash on a red energy shield similar to Vlad's own shield. The undead fiercely strikes at the creature treating his shield as if were made of steel.
"Can't these butter biscuits use a simple ecto-ray!"- the old Halfa yelled to himself.
Vlad had naively assumed that all his ghostly peers could use the same energy base attacks like him, of course, at a much inferior level but so far none had even tried to fire an energy ray that could give them an advantage due to their larger numbers.
It was then that Vlad realized that only a handful was able to so, only powerful ghosts were able to cast such attack, even the greatest hunter of the Ghost Zone, Skulker, depended greatly on his weapons and armor, but had no true ghost powers aside from the natural one such as becoming invisible.
Vlad charged an energy ray which he fired straight at the machine, but the strange demon quickly flew up high and stop the ray with an ecto-shield. One far more powerful than any Vlad had conjured up previously.
"Hand over the girl and I'll let you go."- the demon spoke looking directly at Vlad who floated several meters up high.
"I'll pass."- Vlad replied firmly.
A red beam rushed over to Vlad who miraculously dodge it by mere inches, before he even realized it, the creature was right in front of him and so was another energy ray though much weaker than the first as the demons hadn't the same time to charge up.
Jazz watched as Vlad swerves around the chamber trying to dodge the many smaller energy rays coming his way which melted the stone walls with frightening ease. The few remainders of Dora's guards ran out the door while calling for archers and magicians.
The creature knew that only Vlad pose some threat to his beloved machine and needed to kill him before using Jazz to feed the machine but Jazz wasn't about to stay sited while the "men" took care of the problem.
The redhead pulled off her dress and tossed the black high heels that were already butchering her feet away, she only wore her pink underwear which made her have goosebumps upon feeling the cold air around, but it was the musky floor on her bare feet that felt intolerable.
"Where are you doing?"- Dora whispered while blushing madly.
"I'm gonna go inside that thing and jammed it with that oversize hammer."- The redhead said without even looking at Dora, instead, setting her eyes over the War hammer.
"No, that madness, my men will come back soon with reinforcements"- the undead princess added.
Jazz knew there was the likelihood of the rebels actually running away, though she had the feeling that it wasn't the case with these strange people, of course, there was a giant dragon in the town square to remind them of what would happen if they didn't destroy the machine.
The redhead dashed forward as Vlad and the eye demon fought very close to the ceiling, swerving around the columns which her stopped upon seeing the lasers being shot from Vlad's hands and the demon's eye, it was like watching a superhero show.
Her eyes set upon the oversize hammer which was surprisingly heavier than what she expected. So much, that Jazz was forced to drag the medieval war instrument across the floor which made cursed her lack of physical activity.
"Give me a hand!"- Jazz ordered the princess who jumps at the command.
Dora didn't appreciate being ordered around by a woman especially one who was brought in a cage to be a sacrifice by her elder brother, she already had enough of it with her brother but at least Jazz didn't use any profanities.
Running around in a dress was harder than Dora initially expected but even in such dire need to move fast she refuses vehemently to take off her dress as Jazz did, it was even more impressive to see the young human putting the hammer over her shoulder.
The princess knew the great Warhammer weighted around forty kilos as it was meant to use the biggest warriors in the army, normally used to fight against the giants from the valley and to bring down the shield wall of Pariah Dark's troops.
"Damn it! I read a book on medieval warfare just the other out of boredom and it said these hammers didn't weight more than two pounds at most!"- Jazz yelled out as she forced her feet forward.
Vlad suddenly rolled over the floor in front of Jazz and continued until hitting the far-left column, Jazz and Dora saw the brave Halfa lying down on the ground unmoving. It was then that both girls noticed a shadow forming on the ground.
Before them floated the eye-head demon who gazed upon Jazz without ever blinking for it had no eyelids. The two girls shivered in fear as they laid witness to this nightmare fueled monster, even Dora who lived among such horrible creatures was left without words.
The idea of hitting it with the hammer crossed Jazz's head but she could hardly keep the hammer over her shoulder much less use as the weapon it was designed to be. It was too heavy for her to use and was already aware that she had no chance of winning.
"Pay attention?"- Vlad suddenly screamed.
An energy bolt finally hit the demon before Vlad tackled him though rather than slamming him on the ground, Vlad flew straight to the nearest column. The demon shriek in pain for the first time since they started fighting yet the demon simply vanished into the column and away from his grip.
Only Danny had ever pushed Vlad to his limits back when they were still at each other's throats, the most frustrating thing for Vlad was how the demon was merely toying with him, dodging his rays and strikes.
"I could overwhelm him with my clones but that needs a lot of energy and I already wasted a lot."- Vlad muttered to himself.
The demon floated several meters away from Vlad, it was then that he noticed something strange, he was shaking. Vlad understood that despite the creatures might and power, it had little to no actual battle experience.
He was used to punching and looking down at the weaker ghosts but wasn't used to getting punched. Of course, Vlad was well aware that it didn't give him any sort of advantage if he couldn't land a single strike on, especially now that it was hiding behind his ecto-shield.
"Let me guess, you've never been in a real fight?"- Vlad teased. "You're strong but you really gotta pay attention to your surroundings."- Vlad pointed to the left.
The creature quickly turned over to where Vlad was pointing at and noticed the column was slightly cracked but nothing beyond that. Upon returning his gaze to the older Halfa, discovered that he mere inches away holding an energy sphere.

Jazz looked in frustration but also in awe at the many oversize gears, each cog slowly turning around in its axis. The walls, the floor even the cogs and chains all seemed to have been made out of pour gold but most impressive was a gigantic golden pole in the center which slowly rotated, it felt as if she were inside a giant clock.
There were cogs triple her size rotating in the higher parts of the tower machine, long and heavy chains going deep into the ground coming back red hot, and finally a long stair going around and up the tower.
"This is shit is too heavy but I can't just throw it anywhere."- Jazz muttered to herself.
Sweat was dripping down from Jasmine's forehead as she desperately searched for a place where to shove the hammer and cause the most damage. The giant cogs were out of the question as she could do no damage there.
Desperation builds up as Jazz began swinging her large hammer around striking each cog and gear with all her strength while making her way up the stairs, things became smaller the further up she went, but each mighty and heavy blow only bounced off not even leaving a single scratch behind.
With a loud yell, Jazz lifted the hammer overhead and let fall over the smallest cogs she could find on what assumed was the third floor. The results were the same, undamaged gears, worst yet was that the machine didn't even acknowledge her futile attempts of destruction.
"Damn it!"- the redhead yelled out as strike at the cogs once more only for the hammer to be caught in the gears yanking it off her hands.
Jazz's eyes open wide in horror which quickly became nothing more than desperation with some hints of frustration as the large metallic hammer was "eaten" by the gears. It twisted and bend under the cogs without even slowing its movement in the least.
It was truly a machine from another world, one where Jazz's common sense meant nothing at all. Back on Earth, the machine would have started to break apart with each hammer strike and the main machinery should have already crumbled in pieces upon having the hammer shoved into the cogs.
And yet, nothing had occurred at all. The machine stood strong and so did the time coat which covered the entire kingdom, Jazz knew Danny was running out of time but keep to the idea that he was strong enough to fend off the dragon and even beat it.
"Lady of fire! Could you cometh here!"- Princess Dorathea yelled out.
The redhead turned her attention to the upper floor where she had heard Dora calling her and rush up the stairs wondering if she should head out once more to retrieve another weapon, but it would be useless, she needed a real weapon and not these medieval toys.
A grenade into the cogs could easily do the trick, a healthy amount of plastic explosive, even a small handgun could cause more damage to the machine but no such devices exist in this primitive land as the concept of range and explosive weapons were probably looked down upon.
Jazz suddenly stood dumbfounded upon reaching the upper floor as it was heavily decorated with medieval armors and weapons, stuff toys, and paintings of strange creatures including the eye-head demon, resting over the corner was a cocoon of sorts.
"I guess even demons need a place to sleep…"- Jazz whispered as she looked around for the princess. "I expected something more diabolical from a monster but this looks like a kid's bedroom"- the redhead added though a sudden tremor brought her back.
"Up here milady!"- Princess Dora exclaimed showing her head from a hatchet on the ceiling.
The room where Dora and Jazz found themselves was circular and far simpler than anything they had seen so far, there were no decorations or gigantic golden cogs anywhere to be seen, only a glass alter in the middle.
On a closer inspection, Jazz noticed several cogs within the alter, nothing more than clockwork and lights in her opinion. It was then that the urge to slap herself overwhelmed her as the hammer which she lost to the gears would have been of great use.
Her eyes transfixed upon a cog which rested over the alter and didn't seem to be connected to anything in particular as it remained unmoving, it was then that Jazz realized it wasn't a cog per se but an amulet.
"What is it?"- Jazz whispered while ignoring the explosions outside the tower.
It resembled a cog but the redhead knew it wasn't one. Made with gold like all the other but unlike the rest, it had a black glass within and a symbol that Jazz could swear were two letters, from her homeworld, a C and a W overlapping each other.
"That must be the time medallion."- Dora replied. "Said to have been made by the time master himself, ClockWork."- she added.
The redhead quietly watched as the undead princess removed the protective glass and place her hand over the medallion. A soft electric jolt rushed up the undead princess's arm though it wasn't strong enough cause any harm.
A large spark was created upon yanking the medallion away from the alter, Jazz could even swear it was very similar to when someone uncarefully unplugs an electric device. The strange medallion slowly became dust and both girls could hear the gears stop its movement.
"That's it!"- Jazz yelled out making the princess jump on her spot. "You had me swinging that damn hammer around like a lunatic and all we had to do was unplug the damn thing!"- the redhead added in frustration.
"I didn't know it was this simple…"- Dora replied as she composes herself. "And I have never seen a naked woman swinging a hammer like so." The princess added.
"I'm still in my underwear and that dress was getting in the way."- Jazz retorted while lifting her hands over her head.
The two girls looked at each other before sharing a laugh for their amusement instantly died down as the tower begun to shake. The walls started to crack and the whole tower quiver under their feet which force the girls to flee.
Giant golden cogs began to fall with strenuous sounds upon impacting the ground, large chunks of the wall crumbled down as the girls run down the stairs but Jazz had to abruptly stop as one of the gears fell a few meters in front of her taking with it the stairs.
Jazz's eyes saw in horror as a massive hole was form and deep within was a hell, a sea of flames and magma that released scorching heat. Dora began to shake in fear but the redhead yanked her by the arm and forced them to jump down the stairs.
"Hurry up. The exit is just a few more steps away."- Jazz said to encouraged not only the princess but herself.
The redhead guide Dora who wasn't used to running around and much less to be dodging falling giant cogs and lava-filled pits. Her undead eyes fixed solely on the red locks that crown Jazz's head and who didn't show a hint of fear, not even during her captivity.
"I can't believe my fairy tale knight was this girl."- Dora muttered.
For centuries and beyond, princess Dorathea had dreamt of a courageous and heroic knight riding a black stallion to come to her rescue and bring an end to her evil brother's reign, and yet the closest thing so far was a young semi-naked girl.
"We're almost out"- Jazz exclaimed as the door was coming closer.
Both Jazz and princess Dora jumped out through the only door as the entire tower crumbled down soon to be submerged within a pool of lava leaving nothing behind. Jazz was left breathless as she lifted her head from the ground.
It was then that Jazz saw how Vlad was sitting with his back pressed against one of the columns, blood dripping down from his face which sends shivers up the redhead's back as she couldn't believe that Danny's father was defeated.
The girl quickly stood up putting her arms out in a mock boxing stance, she turned all around trying to find the demon but couldn't see him anywhere which prompted her to rush over Vlad who was semi-conscious.
"What happened?! Where's the thing?!"- Jazz demanded to know.
"Be quiet… it's over there."- Vlad replied while pointing with his thumb to the back of the column.
The demon was lying over his back in a small puddle of green blood which made Jazz feel uneasy but oddly calm now that the creature was defeated and the time machine destroyed, Jazz put Vlad's arm over her shoulder as the man couldn't walk on his own.

The sky above the kingdom was shattering apart to which even Aragon in his blood drunken state knew what it meant, his precious time machine had been destroyed which send him into a violent frenzy of fire and gore.
"Good job Jazz. I knew I could count on you"- Danny said with pride as he saw the magic veil shattered apart.
Aragon lunged over Danny ignoring the knights and rebels who were quickly adapting to the fight, no longer charging head-on but instead using arrows, lances, scorpions, and catapults to counter his massive size.
Many of the undead had rallied around the farthest walls to see the battle from a relatively safe distance. The youngest among them saw with glee as the dragon was now limping for even such a monster had a limit.
Danny dives towards Aragon's head and landed a mighty energy ray on his snout but the young Halfa was already at his limit. His police armor was shattered to which he was forced to peel off showing his torn skin tight hazmat suit.
Red blood mix with a tint of green dropped from Danny's wounds, his legs were burned and his head was aching badly but even so, he didn't show any fear, unlike Aragon who was growing desperate with each passing minute.
Aragon was no longer spitting fire as he had discovered that Danny's small size allowed him to fly around and jab him under the snout returning the flames. His massive size was starting to work against him in front of this unknown little boy.
A sudden explosion occurred on the dragon's head forcing him to take hold of the impacted area, soon a strange flying machine passed before his eyes. Danny looked with glee as his friends had finally arrived to help him.
"Sorry for the delay but the Speeder suddenly turned off when we entered, Tucker had to do some maneuvers to save out pretty asses."-
"Can't believe you were fighting a dragon alone. That's fucking crazy, man."- Tucker added as he swerved around and landed two more missiles on Aragon's hindlegs.
"Don't get too close or he'll burn you!"- Danny ordered.
As much as he wanted his friends to leave the fight to him, the boy knew he was reaching his limits and needed all the help he could get. Danny began firing his energy rays at Aragon, aiming straight to his head while the Speeder attacked his back.
The missiles and machinegun fire were a lot more efficient than mere arrows and scorpion bolts but only Danny's energy rays' proof to be the most harmful of all. It was then that Aragon began to retreat back to the castle.
"The beast is retreating. Attack!"- a knight yelled out.
Aragon was tired and bleeding but even in his weakened state couldn't feel the arrows and random spears send his way via scorpion from his own knights who were relentless in their attack. The dragon's eyes fell upon a figure with long reddish hair.
"You!"- Aragon growled.
"I told you we shouldn't have gone up here!"- Vlad yelled as he saw the dragon glaring down at them.
"I'm sorry I didn't know he was here!"- Dora replied.
The black dragon didn't waste a single second to unleashed his hellish green flames without caring that his own sister was in his path, Vlad steps forward and casts a magic shield using the remaining energy left within him to protect himself and the girls from the fires.
Danny employed all his might to slam the Dragon's head to the stone wall letting his green flames rained over the castle while Tucker and Sam continued their violent barrage, gunfire, and missiles strike at Aragon's side.
It was then that Aragon climbed over the castle walls unable to conjure thoughts much less to plan his next move, but his heavyweight broke the stone forcing Jazz and Dora to carry Vlad however they could as the floor was quickly breaking apart.
Aragon rolled over to his back causing more destruction while unleashing more deadly flames over Danny and Spector Speeder, forcing both to quickly move away from the incoming attack, fire rained over the courtyard setting ablaze several souls who linger too long.
"Get in!"- Sam yelled out as Tucker hoover the Speeder to fleeing trio.
"Why didn't you tell me that you had a… a flying thing"- Dora expressed as she climbs aboard the Spector Speeder.
"I didn't know this thing existed."- Jazz replied as she shoved the badly wounded and tired Vlad Masters inside the vehicle.
Tucker didn't wait for the girls to be seated as the feared another mass of flames coming his way was too overwhelming, Danny was still battling with the dragon who was finally showing his limits as blood dripped down his jaws, and barely able to stand anymore.
"He's done for!"- Tucker yelled out.
"Look out!"- Sam screamed.
Aragon's long tail impacted on the Spector Speeder's back sending it into a whirl to which Tucker nearly ripped his arms off trying to counter. Tucker was forced to conduct an emergency landing which resulted in a crash landing.
Jazz impacted her back with brutal force but even so, she wasn't knocked out. Sam rushed to her aid despite a minor wound on her head calling her name which echoed within the girl's head, never had Jazz imagine being in another accident.
"I can hardly keep my eyes open…"- The redhead muttered as she looked to her side straight to the window.
Aragon was lying over the ground as hundreds of knights and rebels surrounded him, no longer afraid of the monster but mesmerizing at the sight of such an ungodly beast that sends fear into the hearts of the undead.
The Spector Speeder door was suddenly yanked away from its hinges allowing Danny to rush inside searching desperately for his older sister. His voice couldn't reach her ears as it drowned away with a ringing in her head caused by the impact.
Danny gently wrapped Jazz around his arms, searching for wounds around her head and trying to determine if she had a concussion. The boy smiled upon seeing nothing of the sort and begging to be right, he leans in closer and kissed Jazz on the lips.
"I know you're happy and all but mind the time and place."- Sam remarked as she looked away from the two siblings.
The redhead caressed Danny's tired face while gifting him a warm smile as they exited the wreaked Speeder and walked into the cheering crowds of undead. Swords clashed with shields in triumphal rhythms as the warriors' open way.
"Raise your shield and raise your sword for the brave knights of Amity!"- Dora yelled out holding the Amulet of Aragon up high while her brother kneeled before her.
It was then that Jazz snuggled against Danny's chest seeking for conform at her nightmare had come to an end. The time machine was destroyed and Aragon kneeled defeat, on the verge of death, soon she would be home.
"Thank you so much… lil bro."- Jazz whispered under the yelling of huzzah.
To be continued.
