Synopsis:
This story is a direct sequel to 2004's movie adaptation. Set in 1872 Paris, two years after main events of the first movie, the Phantom is a redeemed man now, has traveled across France and has learned to inspire love and hope through his music. However, he cannot get over his past sins, feels guilty for what he did, particularly to Christine. He has returned to Paris and has become a renowned musical teacher (No one knows he's the former Phantom). He loves Christine even more but his love is no longer tainted by lust and obsession. Meanwhile, Christine, at peak of her singing career in the new Opera house of Paris, feels a great emptiness and longing for her Angel of Music. His last words to her can never escape her mind nor her heart can forget their kiss. Her fiancé, Raoul having been supporting her firmly, can feel her sorrow and wishes he could do something to ease her sadness. In the midst of these emotional tensions, an imposter disguises himself as the Phantom of the Opera, bringing havoc in Paris.
