Sooo….
Initially I was planning to start with an evil monologue but nothing comes to mind currently so we'll just have to go with the classic start.
Hello, how y'all doing?
I'm back and I brought another chapter for you all, so let's have some fun!
Start:
Physically, the battle may have been over but mentally…
Well, that was an entirely different story.
That was the grim conclusion Akasha had arrived at as she thought of the most recent event. An event that happened just two mere hours ago. And one she hadn't foreseen coming and would have paid the price with her own life had it not been for the sudden intervention at Moka and Naruto's hands.
The two of them had been beyond helpful.
And from what she learned and later on witnessed, Naruto especially had been helping and protecting her people with his unique clone ability all the while fighting alongside them.
A notion that Akasha deeply admired and respected. That he, an outsider who had only been around for a few days, had fought and poured so much effort into protecting her people when she wasn't able to…
Just thinking of the possibility of the invasion happening without the blonde around to help her soldiers and shield her citizens from danger nearly sent unpleasant shudders down her spine.
Truly, she had been lucky that Naruto had been around and was pleasantly powerful.
He had saved so many lives, prevented so much destruction and she owed him an unpayable debt for his selflessness and noble heart.
Still, despite his beyond extraordinary efforts, quite a bit of casualties and death emerged due to the chaos. Just thinking about all those unfortunate souls who had lost a parent, a sibling, a friend, a lover.
A child.
The mother in her cried out for blood and the vampire queen wasn't opposed to the thought of sinking her fangs into her ex-lover's neck before ripping off his head from his body.
She felt no mercy for him, especially when she recollected the cruel words he had spoken to her daughter and the kind of twisted future that he wanted to subject Moka to.
A breeding stock.
Emerald green eyes gleamed coldly in the dark. "One way or another, I will have your head, Issa." Akasha murmured with steel-like resolve.

Time-skip: The Next Day, 8:30 P.M
To say that the entire house had fallen into a state of tension was putting it lightly.
Naruto had already been accustomed to having many hours to himself during his stay here, rather natural considering he trained for hours on end by his lonesome and it wasn't like Akasha could spend every moment she had with him when she had leadership duties to attend to.
Not mentioning that Moka wasn't exactly someone who was easy to hang out with before they had their late night conversation.
All in all, being alone wasn't the issue, it was more along the lines of being alone while everyone else was coming to grips with last night's events.
As much as Naruto wanted to try comfort or take away the pain that plagued Moka, Akasha, or any of the victims who had lost their family or homes, he knew that the only real and acceptable thing to do was to give the mother-daughter pair at the very least a few hours on their own to mentally recuperate.
And in the case of those he didn't know, to just give them their space.
Emotional wounds were always much deadlier than the physical ever could be.
Feeling out of place, Naruto opted to go and spend some time with the one person who wasn't really affected by the sudden events like him.
Which was how Naruto found himself for the third or fourth time this week, knocking right on Grayfia's door.
Allowing a few seconds to pass, the shinobi was rewarded for his patience with the doorknob twisting before the door pulled away to reveal the gorgeous maid he had been seeking out with an almost unnoticeable puzzled look in her eyes.
Somehow, he wasn't surprised to see Grayfia garbed in her signature maid outfit despite being in the comfort of her own room.
She bowed before raising her head. "Hello Naruto-Sama."
"Hi Grayfia."
Standing aside, she silently beckoned him to come in. The shinobi accepted her generous invitation before he sat down at the bed.
Closing the door, she peered over her shoulder to gaze at him. "How can I help you, Naruto-Sama?
"I plan on seeing what this country is like, check out a few places, restaurants, and all that." Naruto stated before his features turned a bit bashful. "And I was wondering if you'd like to join me."
Grayfia blinked in surprise, mouth parting slightly before she reset her visage back into one of utmost professionality. "Oh. I must admit that your offer caught me off guard, Naruto-Sama."
The shinobi shrugged. "Just figured that I'd give everyone here some time to themselves and see what the place is like outside of this manor. And I realized that I don't really know you well so I figured I'd change that. We can't exactly be friends If I hardly know anything about you."
His response was simple, straight to the point, and from what she could discern with her senses, genuine.
And it was perhaps because of that reason that Grayfia allowed herself to loosen up from her professionalism, nearly letting loose a giggle as she bestowed him with a small, relaxed smile. "Friend's, huh?"
Naruto smiled and rubbed the back of his head sheepishly. "Well of course, I know that it was a mission that caused you to come with me but I'm still grateful to you regardless, and I haven't forgotten how you…" His cheeks tinted a slight pink. "Healed me despite all my attempts to tell you that I would be alright on my own the next morning."
Perhaps it fell within the boundaries of her mission to physically care for him, but regardless, Naruto still felt a surge of gratitude within him at her actions.
"Even if what you claim is true Naruto-Sama, and I do believe your claims. I still wouldn't allow you to keep enduring such injuries when I can take care of them for you."
Blush fading away, the shinobi eyed her seriously. "And I'm grateful for that, but I don't want you to just care for me and not the other way around. You deserve to enjoy yourself as well."
And best they do it now before they'd leave tomorrow.
"And yeah…" Naruto laughed a bit awkwardly under her strict gaze. "I'd like for us to be friends."
"I am not at all opposed to us exploring the culture of Romania." Grayfia nodded before her features softened. "Nor am I opposed to the concept of us being friends, Naruto-Sama."
Naruto relaxed instinctually, not even consciously aware of the tension that left him as he grinned brightly. "Great, then we're friends. That also means you have to stop calling me Naruto-Sama."
Grayfia shook her head resolutely. "I'm afraid that is one demand I cannot do… Naruto-Sama."
The shinobi looked at her dully. "The timing of you calling me that… it was on purpose."
Her lips twitched in amusement before she stifled them. "I do not know what you mean Naruto-Sama, I am simply addressing you as befit of your station."
Naruto rolled his eyes in exasperation but ultimately said nothing.
Comfortable silence reigned between them before Grayfia's hands suddenly began to untie the knots of her outfits, undressing herself with practiced ease before the stunned shinobi.
"W-What are you doing?" Naruto abruptly questioned, a light flush creeping up to his cheeks as he caught a glimpse of pale skin before he forced his gaze down at his feet.
Grayfia continued undressing without missing a beat. "Changing my dress, I find I can enjoy myself much more openly when I'm not garbed in my work clothes."
"Makes sense." Naruto murmured embarrassedly, eyes clenched shut. "But why with me here in the room?"
"You have already seen my breasts Naruto-Sama." She answered in a manner of factual tone, not noticing the sudden influx of red that invaded his cheeks. "And I've interacted with you long enough to know you wouldn't look at my bare form unless I asked you to."
Pulling down her underwear down her legs before stepping out of them, Grayfia by chance looked over to Naruto. Seeing the absolutely adorable reaction of her handsome human companion, Grayfia nearly snorted in amusement.
He was too innocent.
Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
"So, what do you like to do for fun?" Naruto asked her curiously.
The pair had walked out of the vampire-heavy district, simply opting to walk around in silence, enjoy the sights, and indulge in whatever caught their interest.
The attack yesterday had only been aimed at the region which housed most of the vampires and as a result, the area outside of it had been practically untouched.
But then again, even the vampire-dominant region was left mostly undamaged as even without Naruto's hundreds of clones, there were more than thousands of vampires equipped to fight back against the few hundreds of invaders.
And what areas were damaged, was already in the process of being rebuilt into something better.
So yeah, things were for the most part okay in the region they were in. Allowing the pair to explore to their heart's content.
Eventually they had come across a world-class restaurant, one so esteemed in its reputation that even Grayfia had been meaning to try and visit it once she had both the time and company to do so.
Seeing as though it was on her bucket list, Grayfia made the suggestion for them to try it and Naruto had no issue in acquisitioning her request, happy to finally put the debit card that Sirzech had gifted him with to good use.
Heading inside, Naruto was both impressed and felt out of place as he gazed at the numerous golden chandeliers along with the numerous other priceless decorations inside the restaurant.
Fortunately, despite the fact that one needed to book their seats in the prestigious restaurants months in advance in order to dine in, the owner by chance was present by the front desk to overlook information and Naruto was more than receptive to the idea of putting his charms at work.
Of course, for a man, their charm revolved all around money, and Naruto was quite easily able to persuade the owner to allow them to dine in after a generous tip.
The owner, pleased beyond words, happily led the pair to a sole table situated in a private room, far away from any prying eyes that kept looking their way.
Though with how they were dressed, it was to be expected that people would look their way.
Outfitted in a dark green polo with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows along with dark gray pants and pristine black shoes, Naruto looked exceptionally handsome in the outfit Grayfia had forced him in before they left, drawing the admiring glances of many women bewitched by his good looks.
Likewise, Grayfia too was the center of attention of the establishment they entered.
Wearing a neon green monochrome dress composed of both a long skirt that rode up to her belly and reached down to her ankle with a thigh high slit that exposed her left leg, along with a one shoulder long sleeve dress that exposed part of her collar, upper left chest and arm, she looked…
If Naruto had to give his opinion in the crassest of manners, here it was.
Grayfia was hot as fuck.
He had already seen her breasts firsthand without clothes but seeing the way they looked now, wrapped in neon green fabric and with her large cleavage exposed. They were mouthwatering to look at.
And her thigh, it was so meaty and big.
Grayfia by far had the thickest set of legs Naruto had ever seen in his life. One thigh alone was larger than his own head
It was an honest struggle on his part to not drool whenever her massive milky thigh peeked out from the skirt slit.
He couldn't make any conclusions about her rear considering he hadn't had a good glimpse but it was probably the largest by far as well.
And he couldn't exactly lie to his subconsciousness, his mind had been flooded with dirty thoughts for the better part of the first half an hour he had seen her in her outfit.
He instantly grew hard and had to leave before she'd notice his predicament, locking himself in his room so the woman responsible for his… hardness wouldn't see it.
It mattered not if Grayfia had thought it was natural that he was affected by her appearance.
It was just embarrassing.
And so, the blonde had stayed in his room for nearly half an hour before Grayfia had entered and forced him to change to clothes of her choosing.
Fortunately his friend downstairs had returned to its normal size just in time but it was too close of a call.
But back to the owner, he had been leading them away from the masses before he pushed through a door that welcomed them to a different world.
The very room they were in, fit for the VIP among the VIP, was created with the purpose of allowing esteemed customers to dine in with no booking.
Enthusiastically shaking hands with the blonde, the owner then bestowed Naruto with a large, satisfied grin before proclaiming that they could stay here for however long they wanted and were welcome to order however much they wanted as well.
Free of charge.
Naruto kindly thanked the owner for his offer.
Which was how he and Grayfia wound up seated across one another, a large glass wall on their left and right side respectively, and with only the dim sheen of the moon lighting the room they were in, giving their… situation, an almost romantic feel.
The waiter arrived shortly after to take their order before leaving.
"I enjoy reading, drinking tea, yoga, and spending my free time with the Gremory family whom I consider to be my own. I also enjoy getting to witness sights like these." Grayfia answered before she peered over to the glass wall, where they were afforded with the beautiful view of the town bustling with lights and people.
Naruto looked over in the same direction and nodded, gaze lingering even after Grayfia turned her attention back to him. "Yeah, it looks so beautiful, so…peaceful."
A hint of melancholy graced his tone and the maid nodded in agreement. "Yes, it's definitely a welcoming change."
This right here…
His Godfather would have liked it, seeing people interact in harmony with one another.
Naruto turned back to seriously eye the woman across him. "I've already learned quite a bit of the world's history including the ceasefire from Rias-Chan then Sirzech who explained in more detail but I got to know, is attacks like the one from yesterday a common thing?"
Surprisingly enough, Grayfia sighed. "Yes and no." She answered before elaborating. "It isn't common and this last century has been especially peaceful, but recently these cases have been appearing all over the world and with every faction around, I've just learned today that one such case happened a few days ago in Kuoh."
"What?" He immediately sat straight, if she didn't have his whole attention before, she certainly did now. "What happened? Was anyone hurt? Who attacked? And why were we only informed now when it happened a few days ago?" Naruto questioned agitatedly.
"Sirzech-Sama assured me that no one was seriously harmed. Kokabiel, one of the leaders of Grigory, was the one who attacked, fortunately he was taken care of by an outside intervention before Rias-Sama and her peerage could be hurt further or killed. And said outside intervention belongs to the Grigory from what he had learned so Kokabiel's actions were unsanctioned."
"As for why we were informed only now…" The slight clenching of her jaw was telling to the blonde of the anger that the normally impassive maid felt. "Sirzech-Sama felt there was no immediate need to inform us considering we were busy with our mission as it is."
A completely logical assumption but one that still gnawed a bit on Grayfia's nerves. Witnessing the frown plastered on her… friend's features, it was safe to say that Naruto felt the same.
Naruto didn't reply, mind wrapped in a cocoon of thoughts that eluded the silver haired woman.
She didn't mind, the silence made for a peaceful companion that Grayfia had learned to cherish since the start of the civil war.
A whole minute passed before she heard an inaudible whisper.
"Can you repeat that please, I didn't catch that."
Naruto looked up to meet her eyes determinedly, she unconsciously gave him her full attention. "I said that I will bring peace to this world."
Oh? Grayfia nearly raised an eyebrow in surprise, now that was most certainly an admirable goal.
One that she wholeheartedly supported.
"I truly hope you do." Grayfia uttered with utmost sincerity. "War is a horrible thing, a seemingly unending void of death and suffering, our world hasn't known war in decades but there's been so many that the fear of slipping back into one is always on the forefront of everyone's mind."
"Then I will put that fear to rest." Naruto raised his hand and clenched his fist in resolve. "I don't know if such a thing as peace really does exist, but if it does, I will stop at nothing until I find it. I won't allow anyone to suffer if I can do something about it."
Grayfia smiled. "You have my full support in achieving your dream… Naruto."
The shinobi blinked before a small grin criss crossed his features. "About time you call me by just my name."
"I'm afraid Naruto-Sama, that that event was just a one-time exception."
Naruto scoffed. "You wish."
Unwittingly, a giggle emerged from Grayfia as she shook her head with a small, amused smile. "You are a handful Naruto-Sama, no one has been anywhere near as stubborn as you when it comes to names and formality.
The shinobi sent her a playful wink.
Suppressing the urge to smile wider, Grayfia's visage returned into one of seriousness. "Before we continue enjoying the night in bliss, you should know one other thing that I learned from Sirzech-Sama."
"And what's that?"
Raising a glass to her lips, Grayfia lightly sipped on her drink before eyeing the blonde. "The incident with Kokabiel has prompted the leaders of Angels, Fallen Angels, and Devils to meet in a summit and discuss a possible peace treaty."
Naruto's eyes widened. "Really? That's good."
The maid smiled and nodded. "Indeed, and while the road won't be smooth sailing and there will be those who oppose peace, we at the very least have taken the first real step to coexisting without bloodshed."
"Anything worth achieving is never easy."
"Precisely, but Sirzech-Sama wishes to extend the invitation of peace to other factions too, and he requested that if we get the chance, that we inform the other leaders of different factions of this development."
"Which includes Akasha-Chan, and the leader of the Norse faction who we're visiting next." Naruto said with an understanding look.
Grayfia nodded. "I know it's not ideal considering you're searching for answers but I ha-" "I'm in." He interrupted firmly.
"I do want answers on how to return to my home, yes. But that can take a backseat to helping others live in peace."
A moment of silence passed, one of which Grayfia intensely scrutinized the blonde as he gazed back unflinchingly, his own gaze filled to the brim with a sense of purpose that internally awed Grayfia.
She smiled genuinely, her already high admiration and respect for her blonde companion swelling to an even larger degree. "Thank you Naruto-Sama."
Naruto returned her smile. "It's alright Grayfia, nothing would make me happier than seeing world peace become a reality."
And he truly meant it. This world may not have been his own but that hardly meant that he felt otherwise. Especially when he had made quite a few precious friends in this world.
Yes… He was going to bring peace to this world too. This he vowed.
Before either Naruto or Grayfia could further contemplate their thoughts in blissful silence, a few knocks on the door called their attention before a server entered the room, expertly balancing four plates as he made his way to them.
With finesse that impressed even Grayfia, the server placed the plates on the table and stepped back and bowed. "Please do let me know if either of you would like anything else, nothing pleases me more than serving you."
"At the moment, we're satisfied. However, we will take your offer into consideration if need be, thank you." Grayfia eloquently replied.
The server smiled and bade them farewell before departing.
Seeing no reason not to indulge in the heaven before him, Naruto muttered a quick itadakimasu before he dug in as elegantly as he could.
Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
"So, you were quite the prankster in your younger years, huh?" Grayfia questioned, amusement dripping into her tone.
Naruto grinned. "Yeah, I just couldn't resist, and trust me when I say it was beyond satisfying to prank anyone who got on your nerves. One of the best feelings in the world if you ask me, to set the score straight."
The pair had finished dining nearly half an hour ago before they decided to mindlessly continue to explore the night attractions of the city they were in.
Their wandering soon landed them in a small hill, a bit isolated from the populace, and granted them a nice view of the steady river.
With such a view, they settled in before resuming their conversation underneath the stars.
Grayfia chuckled, a soft demure laugh that mesmerized the blonde. She was the epitome of sexuality and grace.
And if Naruto had to be honest with himself, he was probably starting to crush on her. Okay maybe that was putting it too far but he was beginning to feel a spark of attraction spiritually, though in his defense it was hard not to after the side he had seen of her tonight.
That spiritual attraction… was the very same one he was already feeling for Rias, Akeno, and Akasha. It didn't help that each one of them were divine in their appearance. Moka too.
Naruto grimaced at his thoughts, when did he become like this? His Godfather would no doubt have a field day if he was watching this from his place in the afterlife.
But with Grayfia…
She had been so elegant, so supportive, and so… soft. In a way that the jinchuriki could not have fathomed in a million years with how she normally portrayed a stoic and emotionless persona.
Until he had finally spent the night with her like this.
"Yes, I can imagine putting itching powder on one's undergarments to be highly satisfactory." Grayfia admitted before turning her gaze to her new friend on her right. "But how did you manage to stuff itching powder in your friend's underwear and clothes?"
Naruto grinned cheekily. "Thanks to phase one, which I call 'Know thy enemy.', I had to basically know and memorize Lee's schedule, which was easy enough as he stuck to the same routine everyday. Phase two was execution, and phase three was enjoying the show."
"And the end result culminated into this Lee accidently smacking the rest of your friends during his episode, then somehow unintentionally drinking alcohol during the process and turning into a rageful drunk, destroying the establishment you all were in, and successfully giving your teammate who he was crushing on, a busted nose. Did I get all that right?" She amusedly questioned.
Of course, Naruto had a crush on that same teammate at the time and was blinded by rage. But he wasn't going to mention that.
His crush on Sakura had long since faded, especially after his many interactions with the women of this world.
"You did. Needless to say, that was a night I won't be ever forgetting." Naruto's chest rumbled with barely suppressed laughter.
"I can imagine." Grayfia's cheeks ached, a consequence of how much she had been smiling today due to the blonde. "It must be nice, having friends like that."
It was almost undetectable and even the most astute of individuals would have missed it.
Not Naruto though, having spent most of his life feeling envy towards others, others who had family and friends of their own while he had nothing… it caused him to be well acquainted with the miserable feeling.
Grayfia was envious of him.
And Naruto was easily able to discern the almost unnoticeable shift in mood as he picked up on the well-concealed melancholy in her voice.
…
…
"It wasn't easy." Naruto quietly stated.
Grayfia perked up, glimmering silver eyes darting to meet vulnerable blue.
"Because of certain circumstances." Naruto began slowly. "Circumstances that were out of my control, people were wary of me and I spent most of my life alone, feeling pain… and jealousy to those who had what I didn't."
'So, he was an orphan.' Grayfia felt her eyes soften, her already fractured heart breaking further for the blonde.
He clicked his tongue, unaware of her thoughts. "But somewhere down the line, I realized that even though my life really sucked, I had the choice of changing that, I realized that nothing would come from me doing nothing and from there I worked hard to reach where I was before I began to gain people's acceptance then friendship."
Peering up into the boundless sky, Naruto took a moment to choose his next words carefully. "Everyone, no matter their circumstances, go through pain. But after they experience pain, they have a choice, to keep wallowing in that pain, or to emerge and learn from it so they can build a better life for themselves."
"…It's easier said than done, Naruto-Sama." She murmured softly.
"I know." Naruto nodded. "But one can't truly move forward with their life if they allow themselves to be shackled by pain."
Silence followed after his statement, an uncomfortable silence that stretched painfully before the shinobi shifted his inquisitive gaze back to the silver haired queen. "Grayfia, why did you accept my invitation? I'm happy you did but… I wasn't really expecting you to accept if I had to be honest."
Grayfia took a moment to contemplate his question.
Instincts hardened by the experiences of her life, compelled her to not allow herself to be anymore vulnerable than she had already and unintentionally portrayed herself to be.
But thinking of what Naruto had revealed just a mere minute ago… She sighed.
"I don't have friends, Naruto-Sama, not really. The closest one I would come to consider to be a friend is Serafall-Sama but I regard her as more of an acquaintance than a friend."
"And I myself have already wanted to see firsthand what the culture was like here, so when you admitted to wanting us to be friends and to see what this city had to offer, I had no reason to refuse. I just hadn't expected to enjoy myself as much as I did." Grayfia admitted as she met his eyes.
"I see…" He could understand that.
…
…
Naruto chuckled awkwardly. "I'm probably getting ahead of myself by saying this but…"
The strongest queen hummed curiously, expectant eyes trailed upon his form.
He nearly looked away in embarrassment. "I will try my best to be the most amazing friend to you."
She blinked in surprise, having not expected to hear such a thing.
Still, it wasn't the most shocking thing she'd ever heard in her life and her eyebrow quirked up in amusement. "Oh?" Grayfia failed to contain her smile for the umpteenth time this night. "That's a bold statement to make, Naruto-Sama."
And already after he had proclaimed that he would bring peace to this world… Grayfia could see why Rias adored him so much.
Naruto shrugged. "Ehh, true but the way I see it, you either give it your all or you don't. one of the two really."
"I agree." She nodded in complete understanding, slowly standing up before she offered a hand to Naruto who accepted and was pulled to his feet.
'Soft.' He thought as he briefly held her lithe and small hand before letting go.
"Let's return back." Grayfia proclaimed to the blonde before she began to walk back to the estate.
Naruto quickly caught up to her, walking side by side while listening to the calming and harmonious sounds of the crickets and trickles of the river.
It was serene, peaceful.
Unlike the elemental nation…
Allowing his thoughts to wander, the shinobi thought of his home world and to his surprise and guilt, hardly felt a dull ache at the reminder of him being stranded and far away from home.
For the first time since arriving, Naruto consciously questioned if he even wanted to return.
He wanted to return so he could fulfill his promises but had he not made those promises, would he have wanted to return back?
…
He didn't know.
"Did you mean it?"
A soft voice lulled him away from his thoughts, Naruto's gaze flickered over to Grayfia, slightly caught off guard to see her intensely gazing at him.
Naruto wracked his brain for answers before recognition dawned upon him. "You mean about trying to be an amazing friend?"
She nodded, the faintest hint of pink pooling on her visage.
His answer was swift. "Yes. I meant what I said, every word."
Grayfia stopped walking, prompting the blonde to do the same, confusion lingering in his gaze as she looked at him emotionlessly before slowly, the edge of her lips were tugged upward into the most heartfelt smile Naruto had seen to date.
'Beautiful…' He dazedly thought.
Stepping into his personal space, she raised a hand, curious fingers slithering from his shoulders to his neck before they scaled upward till her palm found the back of his head. Gently she dragged him down just as she leant in, lips just half an inch away from his ear.
"Don't let me down, otherwise… I'll be very sad." Her voice was pure seduction.
Naruto felt like his legs turned to jelly, only sheer will prevented him from trembling and falling down to his knees.
Still, he could not prevent himself from shivering at the sound of her voice. "I-I won't. I… I promise."
Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Arriving at his room after dropping Grayfia off on her own, Naruto pushed past the door and went in only to be startled. Seated at his bed, eyes red-rimmed with the faint marks of tears on her face, was a despondent Moka.
