"Tony! Tony! You get back here!" Angela yelled.

Tony smirked and walked out of the garage and closed the door behind him. He leaned against it and listened to Angela yelling for him to come back.

"Tony! Come on. This isn't funny! Get me down!"

Angela started to panic. Had he really left her hanging here? Why? Was it because he was upset that she had yelled at him before? She thought everything was okay. After she had explained that Jonathan was driven because she was driven he seemed to understand. But why then had he just left her up here? Was he just going to let her stay here all night? Her arms started getting tired. Oh no if he didn't come back soon she was going to be in big trouble!

Tony looked at his watch. "Okay, I think that's enough time. He opened the door back up and went inside the garage.

"Tony! Tony is that you?!"

"Yeah, it's me."

"Tony, get me down!"

"Okay! Okay. Hold your horses."

He grabbed around her hips and was about to hoist her down. But her arms and legs started shaking and before either one of them could blink they both fell on the mat all tangled in each other's arms. He was on his back and she was practically lying on top of him. She was so close he could smell her vanilla scented body lotion. He gulped and told himself to breathe deeply. But that was easier said than done.

Oh God did she smell good!

He licked his lips and looked at hers. It would be so easy to kiss her. After all, they had kissed before. But those times had been different. The two of them kissing when they were kids and then years later when they were both drunk were both different circumstances than now. She was his boss and you don't go around kissing your boss no matter how beautiful or desirable she was.

There was also the fact she had just begun dating that Geoffrey with a G guy. And even though he was a little dorky he had no choice but to respect it. After all he was the one who had practically pushed her into his arms at Paul and Isabelle's wedding reception.

Angela felt her body tingle. She was so close to him she could smell his aftershave. She told herself to take a few deep breaths, But she knew that wasn't going to work. She looked into his dark eyes and saw them filled with what she could only describe as a pained longing. If she didn't get up things could and would get very awkward.

"Oh. I'm sorry. I uh. My arms and legs started.."

"Yeah, I get it. It's okay."

They continued staring at each other.

"So you think you could get off me now?" He joked.

"What? Oh yeah. Sorry!" She blushed and rolled off him.

He sat up and shook the kinks out of his arms and legs. He stood up and offered his hand to her. She placed her hand in his and he pulled her up.

"Are you okay?" He asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I was a little scared though."

"You were? Why?"

"Why? Tony, you just left me here!" She glared at him and slipped her shoes back on.

"Oh come on Angela! Did you really think I was gonna leave you here all night?"

"Well, I thought you were getting back at me for yelling at you earlier."

Tony shook his head. "Angela, I understand why you did. You were worried about Jonathan. I mean you come home all upset that you didn't get the account and then you see Jonathan in that cast. You reacted the way any parent would."

"Thanks Tony."

"You're welcome."

"Hey, come on. I'll fix us some tea. "

"Okay." They started walking but she felt another cramp shoot up her calf.

"Ouch!" She rubbed her leg.

"Oh, hold on". He put his arm around her waist. "Okay, just lean against me." He led her out of the garage and closed the door. They walked across the driveway and went into the kitchen.

"Here, sit down."

She sat down and winced at the pain.

"Okay, I'm going to show you a massage trick my friend Lyle taught me."

"Massage trick?"

"Yeah, I mean if it's okay of course." He didn't want to push his boundaries after all.

"Yeah, it's fine."

He nodded and knelt down before her. He lightly touched her leg letting the pads of his fingers work in a circular motion. After a few moments he increased the pressure.

Angela closed her eyes and breathed through her nose. His hands were like magic. They were gentle and strong all at the same time. Whoever this Lyle sure knew what he was talking about!

After a few minutes he decreased the pressure and gently rubbed his hand up and down her leg.

"Better?"

"Yeah, much better. Thanks."

"You're welcome. He stood up and went over to the stove and put the tea kettle on.

"So, your friend Lyle taught you that?"

"Yeah, he did, He's a sports doctor. I met him when I was playing for the Cards."

"Oh."

"Yeah, he's a great guy. He's a little shy though. Actually he's very shy but he really knows his stuff."

Angela laughed. "He sounds like my cousin Christy."

"Christy?"

"Yeah, she's my Aunt Carol's daughter."

"Oh that's right. Carol was Mona's sister."

"Yes."

"So what does she do?"

"She's a teacher. And she is really good at her job but she is also extremely shy and awkward."

"And she's a teacher?" Tony raised his eyebrows in confusion.

"Well, she is really good with kids. It's adults she has trouble with."

"Oh really?"

"Yeah, she hardly ever goes out on dates."

"That's funny neither does Lyle."

"Wow, it sounds like they both need to get out there and socialize."

"Hey, maybe we should set them up on a blind date." Tony smirked.

"Oh come on Tony. You really think that's a good idea?"

"AYE OH. OH AYE. It was just a joke." He rolled his eyes.

"Well, now that I think about it. Why not?"

"ANGELA! I told you. It was only a joke!" He shook his head.

The tea kettle whistled and he made them both a cup of tea. He set the cups on the table and sat down beside her. She picked hers up and took a sip.

"Tony?"

"Yeah?"

"I just wanted to thank you for looking after Jonathan."

"Angela, you don't need to thank me. It's my job after all. No, you know what it's more than that. I love the kid and would do anything for him."

"I feel the same about Samantha."

"I know you do. I remember when you pulled all those strings to get her into Montague Academy."

Angela laughed. 'Yeah, we certainly do a lot for each other's kids don't we?"

"Yeah, we do. And not for nothing Angela but you are the only woman I would want to take care of Sam."

"I feel the same about Jonathan and you."

He smiled at her.

She smiled at him.

"After all like I said when you got fired. We're a family and families stick together."

"That's still one of the nicest things I have ever heard."

"Well I meant it. I mean it."

"I know you do."

They finished their tea and Tony put their cups in the dishwasher. They went into the living room and after Tony checked to make sure the front door was locked they went upstairs. They noticed that Sam and Jonathan's doors were both closed but a light was shining under their doorways.

Tony walked over to Sam's room and knocked on her door.

"Yeah?"

He opened the door and stuck his head in.

"Samantha. It's late. Turn off the light and go to sleep!"

"But Dad!"

"No buts young lady!"

Sam sighed. "Fine."

Angela stuck her head in.

'Good night sweetheart.'

"Good night Angela." Sam smiled.

"Good night Sam."

"Good night Dad."

She turned her lamp off and snuggled under the covers. Tony closed the door and they crossed over to Jonathan's door.

Angela knocked on his door.

"Yeah?"

Angela opened the door up and stuck her head in.

"Why are you still up? Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine."

Tony stuck his head in.

"Hi Tony."

"Hey pal. Are you sure you're okay?"

Jonathan nodded.

"Okay then I think it's time you got some sleep."

"Okay. Good night." Jonathan yawned.

"Good night sweetheart."

"Good night buddy."

Angela turned off his lamp and they walked out of his room. Tony closed the door and they walked over to their respective bedroom.

"Good night Tony."

"Good night Angela. Hey Ang?"

"Yes?"

"I just wanted to tell you I really enjoyed hanging out with you tonight." He smirked hoping she would catch on to his little joke.

After a few moments he saw her face change from confusion to understanding.

"Very funny Tony." She smiled.

"Yeah, I know."

"Good night again Tony!"

"Good night again Angela!"

She smiled and went into her room.

"Sweet dreams Ingrid." He smiled softly and went into his bedroom.
