I woke to the smell of napalm in the morning. Or, more precisely, the sound of a bomb going off in the distance.

The Azn Bad Boys had holed up, and with all my time spent dealing with Coil, I hadn't dealt with the consequences of beating the shit out of Lung. Bakuda decided to throw a party, and she is dangerous as all hell. That said… I know her tricks: toe rings, deadman's switch, and a tendency to throw common sense out the window.

I didn't have the intel or time to gather it. The downside of not having Coil and Echidna tear this city apart was that Bakuda was free to do just that.

I quickly called Tattletale. It rang once, twice, and then connected.

"What's happening?" I asked promptly. This was important enough, I felt.

"Azn Bad Boys have a new bomb tinker. All I've got is that she's trying to free Lung and has been setting off bombs as a distraction. I plan to send some of my mercenaries in to deal with her once I figure out where she is." Lisa declared. "Mmm, that's nice to say. My mercs."

"Let me know if there's anything we might be able to do. My partner is very interested in doing some heroics."

"Done. The PRT has nothing on the tinker, so it'll take a personal investigation from me. Well, as personal as watching bodycam streams is. Let me know if you find anything."

The call ended and I dialed Taylor.

"Do you know what's going on? We have to stop this!" Taylor answered the call, immediately at full intensity.

"I got in contact with Tattletale. She figured out we had something to do with Coil and she's thankful enough that we helped her out to give us information. ABB has a bomb tinker who wants to release Lung and Tattletale will tell me when she gets more information."

"Are we going to deal with any of the bombings?" Taylor insisted.

"We don't have the training to defuse a bomb, not to mention the possibility of remote detonations or hostages. What we really need to do is try and find Tinker, preferably without anyone discovering us. We don't want to walk into the trap of a—One sec."

My phone buzzed by my ear. I checked the screen quickly, clicking on my Sharingan to instantly process the text.

"More information:" I went back to the conversation. "Tattletale says Lung's release is probably happening later today. The ABB are sending multiple groups out to distract the Protectorate, including hiring Uber and Leet."

"We have to stop those two," Taylor declared. "The Protectorate is going to need people to handle these attacks, and we can beat those two."

Not even considering going after anyone but the capes. Your parahuman conflict drive is showing.

"Uber and Leet are going to be broadcasting," I reminded her. "This would mean a very public first appearance."

"It's either that or letting ABB have a better shot at getting Lung out. If that means we have people know about us, then that's a cost we can handle. People are going to find out about us eventually."

Damn. I was content to not have to worry about public appearances for a little longer. At least till we dealt with Bakuda, I'd hoped.

"Fine," I accepted. "Uber and Leet are people we can handle. I'll ask for more information on their plans. Have you decided on your cape name, at least?"

"Yep! Message me the plans, I have to get ready."

Taylor and I met near the Boardwalk, around where Tattletale informed me the villain duo's show would start. Information that cost me ten thousand dollars, on account of Tattletale feeling like dragging the negotiations out for her entertainment while she researched. Not that she needed the money.

In fact, she made a point to taunt me with her wealth, vaguely alluding to extravagant purchases like hot tubs and jewelry. It must be nice to be able to make major purchases without raising flags. If I could do that, I'd be able to get myself a secret base.

I need to get a location that is completely unaffiliated with me at some point. A secret base would tickle the fuck out of my jimmies.

I was in my cape outfit, but transformed into myself in jeans and a button-up with the top few buttons undone. My transformation technique guaranteed that I'd stay relatively immaculate, and I purposefully made myself look well-composed. The number of people I walked by who looked a little longer at me than they should have implied that was appreciated.

The true power of a Naruto ninja is to be able to look hot at will. Plus, being under a henge meant I could have my Sharingan out to analyze everyone I see without raising suspicion. Taylor reacted to seeing me by immediately voiding herself of all emotion, which implied that she reacted significantly. My smile becoming more amused probably didn't help with that reaction.

"Hey Taylor," I greeted her. "Find anything yet?"

"No," she shook her head. She was wearing a hoodie and sweatpants, covering herself almost completely. As her head shook I got a look at the neck of her costume, which could be passed off as an undershirt.

"We'll walk around, then. Keep an eye out on the roads in particular. If things take too long, feel free to window shop."

"Yeah," Taylor agreed. Then she frowned. "Are we sure we can trust her?" She alluded to Tattletale.

"Trust is a strong word," I waffled. "Any problem we can solve for her is one she doesn't have to deal with, and I think she prefers things to be better. Plus, I paid for this info."

"Paid?" Taylor was surprised.

"Yeah. Information is worth a pretty penny. Especially discrete information. She ran me ten thousand for this."

"Ten thousand!?" Taylor's eyes bugged out. "It cost you that much to do this?"

She was suddenly looking guilty. That was a lot of money, especially for a teenager in Brockton Bay. Hell, it's a lot of money for anyone with a standard wage. Plus, Brockton's economy isn't known for its stability.

"I'm not exactly strapped for cash," I assuaged.

"Still…" Taylor frowned, then stopped. "I found them. Two people in costume, people running. That way," Taylor pointed.

"Shit, follow me," I gestured for her to walk along me. I led us into an alleyway where I dispelled my transformation, revealing my off-brand Akatsuki outfit. Taylor pulled off her outer layer and hid the clothes behind a dumpster in the alley, slipping her mask and gloves on.

I scooped her up and began to hop from roof to roof. "Direct me."

After a couple of moments of sputtering, she regained her focus and directed me at our targets. I spotted them about a half-mile down the road and started to move toward them. Trying to avoid any obvious action as we approached, I made sure to slip around through side-roads and alleys.

The time it took to reach the pair gave me enough time to give me some basic recon at a distance. Both rode on a large motorcycle.

Uber sat in the driver's seat, skillfully violating multiple traffic laws while avoiding multiple head-on collisions. He had a spiky yellow wig on the top of his head, alongside a sleeveless indigo shirt, black pants secured by a belt, an excessively large pauldron covered in bolts, and most strikingly: an oversized hunk of metal that could barely be called a sword.

Leet was scanning the streets for whatever resistance their traffic violations and disturbance of the peace would produce. Which was us, unfortunately, meaning I had to slip us out of sight when his head pivoted back over our direction. He was in a pink and red dress and occasionally swung a staff around. He must've drawn the short straw. I recognized their outfits, though. Cloud and Aeris, from Final Fantasy. Outside of their weapons, that didn't give me much insight into what they were going to use. I'll have to keep an eye out for tricks.

I used the period of stealth to drop Taylor off and plan. "They're looking for a show, so I say we play along at first. Should help lure them into a false sense of security. I'm thinking I go in and knock them off the bike. You gather a swarm around us as a makeshift arena, I'll challenge them. I'd prefer it if you keep out the melee, but you shouldn't have any trouble introducing yourself and then vanishing back into the swarm. Wait till one is disarmed and start webbing them up. Sounds good?"

"Yeah, I can do that."

"Good, I'll get started."

I looked around a corner the pair were moving to pass, watching with a single Sharingan. As expected, they were heading my way. I ducked back around and drew a throwing knife, positioned my arm to throw, and waited.

And waited. And waited.

Now!

The motorcycle's first wheel came into view as I snapped my wrist, sending the chunk of metal into the cycle's wheel. It lodged between the spokes and fork, stopping the front wheel from turning. Momentum carried the villain team into my sight, flying over the handlebars of their bike.

In that flash of a moment, Uber whipped his head toward me and we made eye contact. I used the moment of opportunity to hit him with my 'scary eyes' genjutsu, a "terrifying" illusion that made me look slightly more intimidating and emphasized the glow of my eyes.

It should be a fun bit of psychological warfare, at least until he crashes. A nice bit of Genjutsu practice for me, as well.

The fools and their cycle flew out of view, crashing and swearing. I took a slow, deep breath, popped my neck, and stepped around the corner. Uber was already standing, helping his partner to his feet. A small smile wormed its way under my mask as a steady hum of noise began to grow, clouds of swarming bugs congregating around the three of us.

"Hello, Uber and Leet," I announced. I kept my voice smooth and body relaxed, my tomoe lazily spinning as I waited.

The two were quick on the uptake. Uber brandished his Buster Sword at me while Leet took point behind him and looked warily at the bugs, but neither moved to engage. Frankly, I was impressed he could even hold the sword. Some sort of weight reduction tech, most likely.

Uber spoke as if to an audience, which was no doubt what he was doing, "Looks like we found today's guest, and it's a mystery competitor! Hey, Leet, you think we're dealing with a SOLDIER or a Turk?"

"Turk. 100%. He's got glowing eyes, though," Leet responded.

"Yeah, but red eyes aren't a SOLDIER color. Looking like more of a Vincent Valentine motherfucker, especially with the weird-ass arena we've got going on here. Which is Turk territory, so close enough. So, bug-guy, want to introduce yourself?"

"The bugs aren't mine, I'm afraid.."

Taylor took that moment to part the swarm, walking up beside me. Uber and Leet's demeanor shifted subtly, traces of arrogance became caution. A two versus two was much less favorable for them than a one versus two, after all.

"Well, then bug-girl can introduce herself," Leet kept the dialogue flowing.

"Hive," Taylor spoke and then said no more.

"Right…" Uber sighed, then turned to me. "How about you, Vinny?"

"We are a new independent vigilante group, Akatsuki. As for my name? I've decided on Pain," I pleasantly informed them. "If you like, I could give you a demonstration of why?"

"Pain and Hive, edgy newcomers, versus Uber and Leet, respected veterans!" Leet announced. "Place your bets, dear viewers, but spoiler warning: Uber and Leet have no issue with pwning newbs!"

"Sure..." I waved Taylor back as I drew a knife. Taylor slipped into her swarm, vanishing into the buzzing mass. I copied Uber's pose and brandished my knife in a mockery of him, then spoke. "All right then, let's mosey."

I barely heard the surprised snort from Leet before Uber moved into action, leaping up and swinging his sword down in an overhead strike. I stepped to the side and let the sword slam into the asphalt next to me, using the moment of opportunity to slam an elbow into Uber's face, followed by a slash of my knife.

My knife scraped off of the side of the Buster Sword, the sword more than functional as a shield. I lashed out in a quick thrust that got deflected by a twist of the blade, glancing off the flat. Uber rooted his footing for a moment, then finally lashed out with a genuine swipe of his sword.

I was the one to move backward this time, cleanly avoiding the strike. I moved back in and slashed, only for the man to twist his pauldron into my strike. The Buster Sword was once again heading my way, so I backed off.

There was a lull in the combat as we stared each other down. I was faster, but I didn't want to be carved like a turkey. Over five feet of metal is still a scary edge, and we both knew it.

Uber broke the silence. "Leet, god-fucking-damn-it, why the hell aren't you buffing me?!"

"Oh! Oh, fuck, right. HASTE!" Leet pointed his staff at Uber, "Sorry, I was watching the sword stuff."

Uber caught me off guard as he immediately started to attack, throwing out swipes much faster than before. The first I parried, trying to go for another quick thrust before my reaction speed kicked in and I abruptly backed off before the flat of the blade bashed me in the ribs.

The moments of opportunity I had before were no longer there. Uber was swinging his sword with the same ease and speed I could swing my knife, but he had extraordinarily more range and force than me. Something had to change.

Uber pressed the advantage and forced me on the defensive. I parried what I could, and dodged what I couldn't, but I was losing ground all the same. Each attack led me closer and closer to the bug walls of the arena.

Oh, right. The arena is on my side.

I began to slow down, feigning weariness. Uber continued to pressure me, though he started to throw in more strikes with the flat of the blade, and even a few more dangerous attacks with the spine. So, not aiming to kill. Very polite.

My back was against the 'wall' in a moment, and Uber opened his mouth to speak. I didn't let him.

I stepped backward into the swarm, kicked myself to the side, and lunged out of the bugs with a kick. Uber choked in surprise as my leg smashed into his ribs, bringing his sword around to guard the follow-up slash.

"Hey! That's cheating!" Uber complained.

I raised an eyebrow.

"Oh, right. Turk. Should've known."

"Hive," I spoke out loud. "Mind shrinking the arena a bit? Feel free to send some wasps after Leet if he buffs Uber again."

"Wasps!?" squawked Leet. "Uber, I don't want wasps!"

"I'm sure we could do spiders, if that's more your thing?" I offered.

Leet paled. "God, I hate this sometimes."

The arena started to shrink and I leaped back inside the bug walls. Uber was prepared for the trick, but I'd shifted the battle in my favor. Now Uber was the one on the backfoot, warding off sudden and unpredictable attacks from the cover of bugs. Still, his massive sword was more than enough to block anything I could throw at him.

Then, his speed dropped back to normal.

"Oh, shi—"

Uber was interrupted by my foot hitting his face, too fast for him to block. The blow staggered him and he dropped the sword.

"Cura!" Leet quickly pointed his staff at Uber, who suddenly recovered.

My foot stomped down onto the Buster Sword and spoke, "Hive, now!"

Taylor responded immediately. The growing swarm suddenly broke formation, converging from all sides onto the pair. The game-themed capes panicked and began to flail as bugs started to pelt them and block their sight, spiders working in groups to slowly cover them in webbing.

Leet yelled "Fira!" and a sudden burst of fire consumed part of the swarm, but not enough to change anything. Wasps converged on his hand and began to sting, keeping it up until he dropped his weapons.

In moments, they were webbed up like Shelob victims. Leet was hissing over his stung hand, but Uber was surprisingly alert. Taylor exited a nearby alley, joining me in looming over the two.

Uber spoke first, "Execute Override Command Echo Sierra."

Both of us tensed, but nothing happened.

"What was that?" Taylor demanded.

"Just ending the stream," Uber assuaged, "Well, come on? Call the PRT already. No need to gloat."

"As if you wouldn't have gloated if you won," I rolled my eyes.

"Nah, that was some good footage, even if you won," Uber decided. "You even played along with the theme, well, kinda. Worth the revolving door of the PRT for that swordfight. Weebs go crazy for that shit."

"Speak for yourself," Leet grumbled, "Your hand is just fine."

I called the PRT on a burner phone and waited for them to arrive, which took nearly a quarter of an hour. By the time Taylor and I were able to make it out of the public eye, my eyes were burning from Sharingan overuse, but I think it was worth it. I had to lose my burner after that, unfortunately.

A goofy smile that kept slipping onto Taylor's face. I think she's happy with how things turned out as well.

We returned to the Boardwalk in our previous outfits. I convinced her to let me pay for some relatively fancy sushi for us, her positive mood drawing her from her cautious shell somewhat. One benefit of having such a high Asian population is that the Asian food is generally pretty good here, plus the bonus of fresh seafood.

It was spectacular. I'd pointed us to more western-friendly rolls while still remaining vaguely authentic, figuring introducing eel or something would be a poor choice without knowing what Taylor preferred. I don't think she liked it as much as I did, but she enjoyed the meal.

I offered to walk her back home after the meal, it was only polite. She accepted, which gave us time to talk on the way back.

"That went well!" I declared once it was just the pair of us in earshot.

"Yeah, it did," Taylor agreed. "I wasn't sure it would, I kept thinking that Tattletail's information might have been wrong."

"I respect your paranoia," I hummed. "Don't think you have to worry about her, though. I imagine if you'd contacted her instead of me after your first night you'd be good friends already."

Taylor frowned. "I almost forgot about that. Do you think she… holds a grudge?" She trailed off meekly.

"No," I shook my head. "I doubt it at least. Though, uhh…" I stopped to consider something.

"What is it?" Taylor stopped with me.

"I don't think she knew who you were? I think I've mentioned a partner, but I don't think she knows it's you. At least until she sees you on video." I pondered. "Eh, I'm sure she'll be fine. I doubt she'll care that she failed to recruit you into the Undersiders, especially once she realizes you're a hero."

Taylor's goofy smile returned for a moment before turning back into a considering frown. "Still, you're going to be getting information from her about the bombing thing, right?"

"Yeah. Probably more than just the bombing. I've got the funds and a connection to a Thinker, I'm going to use it."

"If you're going to to be dealing with her, I should be in contact with her too," Taylor said. "After all, this is a partnership, right? If we're going to be dealing with a Villain, I want to meet her, at least."

A reasonable level of reservation. I could accommodate that, though I'm not sure how much free time Tattletale has at the moment.

"Sure," I agreed, beginning to walk again. "I'll see about setting up a meeting. I haven't met with her in person either, and that'll give us the chance to make a more permanent arrangement."

Taylor grinned a satisfied smile. "Great! And… speaking of meetings…" She trailed off again, reverting to her shy behavior.

"Hmm?" I hummed questioningly.

"Well… I haven't told my dad about being a hero. But now I have a team, a public victory, and a lot of ants under my home. We aren't the closest anymore, but I think that if I told him now, he would let me keep being a hero?"

I shrugged. "I don't know your dad well enough to say how he'd react. If he's not a fan, you're always welcome to crash with me."

"Ah.. well… that's kind of what I was going to ask? Not the second part, I appreciate that," she flushed, "But would you help me tell him? I think that it'll probably go over better if you're there; You're better at talking to people than I am."

So, she wants to introduce a random older boy to her father? I see no possible way he could misinterpret this situation.

"Why not?" I agreed. "You know your dad better than I, so take the lead. If you need me to cut in, let me know. Anyway, what were you saying about ants under your house?"

"Oh! I took your advice on the tunnels. Ants are mostly scent-based, so I can put them all into 'defend the hive' mode by flooding the tunnels with the right signals and leave them for a few days on their own. I was having some trouble with airflow and tunnel strength until I got a book about how old mineshafts used to be set up, but now I've been able to grow the hive a lot," the bug queen rambled.

"A lot?" I asked. "Uhh… how much, exactly?"

"Not sure," she shrugged, "before I left today, a few million. Expanded down below a few of the surrounding homes. Also used it to make environments for other insects, though those aren't as easy to keep alive. Even if I keep my bugs well-fed, most are territorial enough to fight when I seal them in together before I leave. As long as I keep the eggs stored away separately I don't think I'll ever have the populations die out, though."

"Damn, That's a lot of bugs. You seem to be managing it pretty well, though."

Taylor preened. "Once I started looking into making a sustainable system, things just started falling in place. It's satisfying to do, you know? There's, like, tangible progress to creating a bigger colony. I've even started a war with other ants. There's a dumpster on the edge of my range I've been gathering food from to feed the colony, but there's another colony outside my range that also uses it, so I've been sending armies to war against them. I can still get general commands through scent signally once they're out of range."

"To war?" I asked calmly, trying to hide my incredulity.

"Yeah! They won't stop sending more ants out to try and reclaim it, but that just adds to the food supply. I'll probably go over and add them all to my swarm sometime, but for now, they're fun to fight off."

How do you react to someone becoming an insect warlord? I think Taylor was born to conquer. At least it's good practice for controlling and understanding her swarm.

"Oh, except for the birds," She complained. "They're the single biggest loss of bugs. I'm trying to get something done, gather some food, and map out something on the surface? A bird shows up! Every time, it feels like. I can fight them off with enough bugs, but that's not worth the time or effort. They're so annoying!"

"They sound annoying," I agreed, happy to let her ramble on. It's a fun change of pace from shy Taylor, even though I'm probably enabling dangerous behavior. She's already an active threat to the local ecology, and she's only set up one colony! I'm so proud.

"And— Oh! We're here. This is my house."

The home was a bit on the small side but seemed nice enough. Nicer than my home, at least. A dark green truck was parked in the driveway, presumably her father's. I followed Taylor through the front door and entered the home. She took a very quiet deep breath to fortify herself as we walked into the home, a breath I wouldn't have heard if I hadn't been enhancing my hearing to listen for her father.

"Hey Dad, I'm home!" She called into the house.

"Welcome back!" her father replied, somewhere on the same floor as us.

"Ok, he's in the living room," Taylor muttered. "I just have to go in and do it."

She walked into a room and I trailed behind. Danny, a tall, skinny, and balding man looked as we walked in, giving Taylor a little smile. His smile dropped to a suspicious look almost immediately upon seeing me.

"Hey… Dad. This is Indra. And I have important something to tell you." Danny's stare at me increased in intensity. "I'm a cape."

That finally got him to look away from me. His gaze snapped to Taylor and he stared at her, wide-eyed, not quite sure what to say. Then he looked back at me.

"And he is…"

"He's a cape, too. We work together."

He looked at his daughter in concern. "Taylor, are you safe? Are you being pressured to work for him?"

"No!" Taylor denied it vehemently. "We're heroes. And… well… I just wanted to tell you."

Danny bit his lip, thinking hard. "Are you going to join the Wards?"

"We're not," Taylor disagreed. "I don't trust them. I've found that I don't exactly get along with one of their members."

"Taylor, we both know how dangerous being a cape is," sighed her father. "I don't want you to get hurt."

"I can handle myself!" Taylor insisted. "We caught our first villains today! Didn't take a single scratch. It was recorded live, and I can prove it!"

"Alright, alright," Danny gave in. "I want to see that video, not because I don't trust you, I just want to know for sure. And you," he pointed at me, "I want to know exactly who you are and how this relates to my daughter."

I spoke calmly, "As she has said, I'm Indra. I, like Taylor, am a relatively new cape. As for your daughter, she and I work together as partners in an independent cape group. I intend to train, protect, and assist Taylor as she becomes a dangerous cape and capable individual."

Taylor's slight smile indicated she liked that. Danny looked conflicted. "And what do you plan to do with this group of yours?"

"The majority of our time will be spent training or gathering information. We will be engaging in cape fights, but when we do, it will be done with a plan and intelligence. Our funding will be gathered from targeting gang income."

"What cape fights do you think are necessary? And how do you plan on actually using that gang money? People pay attention to where money comes from, and you can't claim gang money legally."

"Parahumans tend to go evil. As a natural consequence, there are parahuman bankers. Bankers who are willing to launder cash in exchange for a pittance of the income. Not that hard to find, if you're in the know.

"Fortunately, necessary cape fights are rare. Unfortunately, a mad Tinker bombing the city is also rare, yet here we are. If the base is too dangerous for us to infiltrate, I'll call the PRT and give them the information. If I have a reasonable shot at stopping them without risking us, I'll take it."

He didn't like that very much, but a glance at Taylor's determined face had him folding instantly.

"Fine. And Taylor? Can we talk a bit more about this, just the two of us."

"Oh! Yes. If it's alright with you, Indra?"

"It's alright," I agreed. "I'll get out of your hair. Have a good day, you two."

As I left the house, looking for an empty area to transform in. As I did so, I conversed with Tattletale, arranging a meeting. I flew back home as a crow, and once I released the henge my phone buzzed with a message.

Sorry that Dad was so mean. We had personal stuff we had to talk about.

It's alright, I texted back, wanna meet Tattletale tomorrow?

Yes!

Topic: New Heroes in Brockton Bay Defeated Uber and Leet

In: Boards ► News ► Events ►America ►Brockton Bay

Bagrat (Original Poster) (Veteran Member) (The Guy in the Know):

We've got two new capes in the parahuman capital of the USA! While Oni Lee and Bakuda were busting Lung out, Uber and Leet decided to do one of their shows, and they decided to shut them down only a few minutes into the show. I've been keeping an eye out for these two ever since my source in the PRT informed me that Triumph reported the existence of two new capes with undetermined abilities going by the name of 'Akatsuki.' That's Japanese for Dawn, or at least the online translator I used says so.

The action of the encounter was recorded and posted [here] in high definition thanks to Leet's tinkertech secret recording device. For those unfamiliar with Uber and Leet, be aware that their 'Snitch' recording tech is possibly the only impressive part of the operation.

The first cape was dressed in a black coat with red clouds on it. Notable features are his glowing red eyes, indented with what seem to be two black commas arranged equidistantly around his pupil. All we've seen so far is superhuman reflexes and speed, red spinny comma eyes, and he goes by 'Pain.' The exact implications of his name are unknown.

The second cape wore a black bodysuit with yellow lenses printed with a single red cloud of the same design as her teammate's. Her name is 'Hive' and she seems to be a Master who commands bugs.

Pain and Hive are the only known members of Akatsuki. They seem to be on the side of the heroes, but neither have reached out to the PRT for registration as an official hero group, making them vigilantes. PRT protocol has Pain as a Mover 3, Thinker 1 and Hive as a Master 4. Anything else is speculation.

LeviathanH8R (Kyushu Survior):

those r tomoe not commas dumbass

cool to see an asian cape thats not in the abb

XxVoid_CowboyxX:

I bet she's called Hive because she's the Hive. We saw those bugs go into her hair, I bet her whole body is filled with bugs.

Pain is totally evil. Who calls themselves Pain and isn't insane? I think the last cape who called himself that was one of the Butchers. He even has red eyes. I bet he's like that Fallen guy, and he can Master anyone he sees. Probably already controls Hive and just added Uber and Leet to his slave army.

SlimeyGuy:

Void wtf are you talking about?

Valkyr (Wiki Warrior):

The red eyes seem connected to the enhanced reflexes, if you watch the eyes they're moving faster than the body can react. I think he's got reflexes beyond mover shenanigans.

Bagrat (Original Poster) (Veteran Member) (The Guy in the Know):

PRT currently attributes enhanced reaction speed as a side effect of operating at a mover's speed, but I agree there's something to the eye thing. There's no doubt a file on these two with all sorts of Thinker speculation somewhere in the ENE HQ already, but that's not something they're going to show the public.

SpecificProtagonist:

AHHHH! How are they both this hot?! Dommy energy 4 real! IDK who I want to spit on me first!?

Heart_Shaped_Pupil

They pulled off the tall and eerie act pretty well, especially for new capes. Oh, and indy hero solidarity!

My masterpiece. Took some creative liberties.

MeatShredder:

That was 8k words of the most abominable smut I've ever read. Did you have to make the worms go up the urethra? I liked the eye-licking tho

CockedandLoaded:

'Took some creative liberties'

The only way you could take more liberties is if you implemented an apartheid state

BornToShitForcedToWipe:

If he had a mind control ability from the start why did he only use it at the end? he could have avoided the problem entirely?

Pusshound:

The holes in her body are supposed to be for bugs but he fit his junk in there? I've got a pretty good understanding of the size difference between a bug and a schlong

GstringGirl:

I thought it was very sweet. The part about always loving her, no matter if she was human or not made me tear up a bit.

SlipperyWhenWet:

Makes sense for a guy named Pain to be a sadist. Don't really see him being a maso too but I guess if you focus on the Japanese pretty boy bit it can be nice.

SpecificProtagonist:

There's a lot of honest feedback and genuine criticism on this. While I appreciate that, I wrote this in one night at 3 AM. You have higher expectations for my work than I do.

Point_Me_ _The_Sky (Verified Cape) (New Wave):

Amy says the whole internal hive thing is stupid bc you have to have room for organs unless Hive has some internal changer thing happening. She also said licking behind an eye to feel the optical nerve is infeasible and wouldn't be pleasant regardless. I don't think she appreciated my effort to read her a story.

Winged_One:

Not canonically accurate.
