This story unfolds in a universe distinct from the events of Dragon Ball Z and Superman. For Superman, I've chosen to portray a version that is somewhat stronger than his most common depiction (seriously, he seems to get knocked around by stuff that should not even make a mark), so more akin to the 1978 Superman, yet not nearly as omnipotent as Superman Prime. This ensures that he remains a balanced and integral part of the story. Regarding the Dragon Ball universe, the events of Dragon Ball Super do not occur in this alternate reality. This decision is made to prevent Superman from being irrelevant. Lastly, when swapping between universes, I'll use 'DB' and 'DC' to identify the current universe. I'm also going to start the main universe as prime; this does not mean it's the same one as in canon, as it's not. This is just because when I was using numbers, it got confusing when swapping between universes.
