The next morning, Charity was up and making breakfast for this really big day. Today was the big basketball game against Royal Woods High and Oliver Queen's hero anniversary celebration.
Hal and Garrett woke up, nervous. They both got showers and got dressed before going down to have breakfast.
Oliver Queen was still getting his beauty sleep. He followed plenty of beauty regimens from facial masks to using a humidifier at bedtime. Beauty sleep was just part of his beauty regime. He also followed a balanced diet when eating. Sweets were a special occasion or cheat day necessity according to him. He also worked out, making regular trips to the gym. He was also a fashion icon and always looked amazing.
Oliver Queen then sat up in bed and stretched, and headed to his private bathroom. He doesn't see Barry with a camera, taking pictures of his minty green face.
"Ugh! Barry! What was that for?!" Oliver Queen says.
"Looking good, Ollie-boy!" Barry laughed and sped downstairs.
Oliver Queen rolled his eyes and washed the facial mask off his face, brushed his teeth, and brushed his hair. He then put on his neon green outfit that consisted of a neon green t-shirt, a bright green vest, dark green pants, socks that matched his shirt, and his normal shoes. He took one last look in the mirror.
"Happy 5th anniversary, Oliver." He says to his reflection. "Let's crush it today!"
He soon headed down to breakfast as there was a massive breakfast spread on the dining room table. He sighed and got himself a plate, then sat down and ate his breakfast.
Lola went out for pageant training, Lisa went to see Pop-Pop as he was playing in some chess tournament, Luna was out with Sam, and Lincoln was with his friends. Lana and Jessica were at an animal shelter.
Charity had told them they could do their activities until 2:30 this afternoon. After 2:30, they would have a full schedule. No exceptions. This basketball game was a big deal to Garrett and Hal and the whole family was expected to show their support. And Oliver Queen's anniversary celebration was going to be a grand affair. So grand that Charity moved the celebration from Twisted Toppings to the Four Seasons hotel in the city.
Lately, the boys were starting to become part of the family. So their events were a priority in the house now. Just like Luke and Shane's events.
Oliver Queen was training with his teammates, doing his target practice. He was singing Natural by Imagine Dragons. Atticus looked in his direction.
"Was there something you wanted?" Oliver Queen asked him, removing his headphones. "You can tell me, you know."
"What do you want? I've been planning your anniversary for a long time." Atticus says.
"I'm already celebrating at the Four Seasons later. It's been five whole years since I became the Green Arrow. What I want is little to no barbaric behavior and a celebration that will truly wow me. As for what I want, I want a 7-tiered cake with green icing and edible jewels, a catered dinner, dancing, a few games, a slideshow that showcases yours truly in true hero fashion, a tribute to me done on stage, and you know, a DJ that can play Imagine Dragons music among other types of music." Oliver Queen says.
"Consider it done." Atticus says as Oliver Queen smiles.
Savannah decided to bake the cake. Jerbo and Viney were curious about what it was for. Savannah explained this was their most important gig.
"Important how?" Jerbo asked curiously.
"It's for Oliver Queen." Savannah says. "His 5th anniversary as a hero is being celebrated at the Four Seasons Hotel in Royal Woods. It's going to be a grand affair."
"What are we gonna make for it?" Viney asked.
"A 7-tiered cake with green icing and edible jewels." Savannah says. "What flavor should we make?"
Jerbo thinks. "It should be a green velvet cake. That is Oliver Queen's favorite cake."
"Perfect!" Viney says. "I'll make the topper for the very top layer."
With Hal, he was modeling his Golden Knights basketball jersey in front of the mirror. He sighed.
"Looking good, Jordan!" Garrett says, stepping into the room while wearing his jersey. "What number are you, exactly?"
"10. What's yours?" Hal asked Garrett.
"24. Just like my basketball hero, Kobe Bryant." Garrett says. "Oh, I talked to Coach. He isn't benching you. We all make dumb mistakes, and he sees no need to bench you unless he has a reason to."
Hal smiled, relieved to hear that, despite feeling nervous about the game.
With Luke, he, Carol, and Shane were practicing with the cheer squad. They were currently practicing their halftime dance performance to Right Round by Flo Rida ft. Ke$ha.
Once they finished with that, they were taking a break for a bit. Luke sipped his white cherry Powerade as Shane drank his water.
Mugman sighed, getting ready to be the mascot.
Meanwhile, Penny sees Ashley.
"Hey." Mona says.
Ashley sighed. "Mona, shouldn't you be going to watch your boyfriend?" She says.
"You're more important. You're the one sick with leukemia." Mona says.
"I recall you promising Mugman you would be there." Penny pointed out.
"Okay, I gotta go. Later!" Mona says, leaving.
Soon, it was 30 minutes to game time. Luke, Shane, Carol, and the cheerleaders were dressed in their uniforms, neon hair streak and hair accessory-clad. The band was also in uniform, wearing neon ribbon pins.
The Royal Woods High team was warming up, their fans dressed in red and gold.
Hal and Garrett were in the locker room, nervous as can be.
"You guys are gonna do great!" Kylie says. She was the coach's assistant today.
"I sure hope so…" Hal says.
Hal's parents were in the Oakley Academy crowd, wearing the Oakley Academy Golden Knights t-shirts they purchased from the school store.
"Our son makes us so proud…" Martin tells his wife.
Meanwhile, Kat and Ana were still making games with Jimmy T.
"Why do I feel like this may start a war between Diamond City and Royal Woods?" Kat asked.
Meanwhile in New York, Barbara and the others exit the movie theater.
"You guys are the best…" Jubilee says as a sentinel grabs her and rushes off.
"No!" Cyclops says using a eye laser blasting it as more sentinels came.
"Now the party can begin!" Wolverine says as he leaped and cuts through one.
There was a big parade float as Zee was on it. A sentinel blasted it as Zee fell off.
"I am not useless." Jubilee says. Storm used her powers and created an elemental storm of wind and lightning, destroying the sentinel.
Jubilee gasped and used her fireworks on one behind Storm.
Beast was sent back. Wolverine leaped up as Gambit tossed cards at some. Rose shot some down.
Soon, the game was getting ready to start.
"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the state basketball championship game. Today's game is between our Oakley Academy Golden Knights and the Royal Woods High School Roosters! So without further ado, let's bring out the home team! Presenting the pride of Oakley Academy, your Golden Knights!" The announcer says.
The school band began to play Centuries as the basketball team ran through the paper banner that read Rough Up The Roosters!
The crowd cheered wildly as the team ran onto the court.
Once Royal Woods High took the court, the game began. Hal and Garrett were playing surprisingly well.
"Down, down, down the floor! Raise, raise, raise the score! Down the floor, raise the score, 2 points more!" The Oakley Academy cheerleaders shouted.
Hal and Garrett shot their fair share of baskets, and by the end of the first period, the score was 18 to 10, Oakley Academy taking a sizable lead.
Everyone cheered for the Golden Knights.
Later, at intermission, the score was 34-26, Oakley still in the lead. The Oakley Academy cheer squad went into their Right Round routine as the crowd was loving it.
"You're doing great!" Barry says to Hal.
"Thanks…" Hal says, drinking his island burst-flavored Powerade.
"Zee is bragging about her anniversary. We were cursed to become heroes on the same day…you know what? SHE CAN HAVE THIS DAY, I'M SO DONE RIGHT NOW!" Oliver Queen screams as he goes to get some fresh air.
Dinah saw Oliver Queen screaming at random cars in the parking lot as he marched around, ranting. She tries to comfort him.
"Can I suit up and hurt her now?! Because I'm minutes away from tying her to a target and using her for practice!" Oliver Queen screamed.
"Ollie, it's okay. It's going to be okay." Dinah says, trying to calm him down.
"Just why?!" Oliver Queen screamed. "She's trying to steal my celebration from me!"

With Zee, she was shopping.
"That wasn't cool what you did back at the school, you know." Diana says.
"Go hang out with your boyfriend." Zee says.
"He's doing the cheerleading thing right now, so he's kind of busy." Diana says.
"Oh, right. I forgot about that game going on today." Zee says.
"The point is, Zee, you had the nerve to brag in front of Oliver when he was excited about his celebration tonight. You already had a celebration in New York." Jessica says.
"Maybe I was a bit too braggy back there…" Zee admitted.
"Look, Zee, we know you two don't see eye to eye on some things. You have different fighting styles and different interests and different ways of seeing the world for what it is. But in the end, you're both superheroes. You save the day in your own ways, no matter what the circumstances are." Diana says.
"You're right, Diana. I shouldn't have bragged so much about my own anniversary when I should just be happy for Oliver." Zee says. "Jessica is right. I had a celebration in New York and it was amazing. But it's Oliver's turn to celebrate now and I should respect that. We may have become heroes on the same day, but I don't want to take away Oliver's chance to celebrate."
"You're a kind soul when you want to be. And in this case, you are being kind." Jessica says to Zee, who smiles.
Back at the school, the game starts up again. Hal has possession of the ball as he runs up and down the court.
"Come on, Golden Knights, grant our wish! All we wanna hear is swish!" Carol and the cheerleaders shouted.
Hal scored again as Alem tuber and his pals were watching.
"Did I mention how much I hate Atticus and his friends?" Alem tuber says
"You do that a lot." Alex says.
"Ugh, they get so much attention and are worshipped like gods. Honestly, I'm not sure why everyone is just coming to Royal Woods. Atticus is really ticking me off and I almost got rid of him, but Melony ruined it and to be fair, I'd totally beat Garrett in basketball." Alem tuber says, tossing a ball into a far away hoop.
"Oooooh…" his pals said before they all slipped on Ice as Cool Josh laughed.
"You guys can beat Atticus in the show, but I'll win the whole thing." Cool Josh says as girls fawn around him.
Alem tuber stormed off.
"So, what's the plan for getting back at the Musibros?" Jack asked. "Epic pranks?"
Hal nearly tripped over his own two feet, nearly missing an easy layup. Fans gasp as he soon scored yet again.
"Way to hustle, Jordan!" The coach says.
Soon, the game ended with a 60 - 38 win as everyone cheered for Hal and Garrett and the team in general.
"So, when do we get payback?" Alex asked
"Someday in the future. Atticus is in for a surprise." Alem tuber says.
"Okay, I'll get started on my pranks. Atticus and his pals are in for a surprise." Jack says.
"Again, this will be in the future. Not any time soon." Alex pointed out.
Later, the Louds sighed as they decorated for Oliver Queen's party. But to their surprise, they didn't have to do much as some professional decorators did most of the work.
"This actually looks fantastic…" Luan says, in awe.
With Oliver Queen, he was shooting arrows at pictures of Zee and some of his friends.
"Oh, brother, it's this time of the month and let's just say their acting anniversary isn't going to be good." Karen says.
"Why do they share anniversaries?" Luke asked.
"Dumb luck. It just so happened they became heroes on the same day and they auditioned for a play on the same day. They went big, too, and the play got canceled because they literally burnt the auditorium down." Karen says.
Megan shivered as she was afraid of fire.
Meanwhile, Lisa sighed.
"Sorry your day with Pop-Pop got cut short." Leni says, knowing how much he meant to Lisa.
"I know, it's just I wanna spend more time with him than ever. There were two deaths at the senior home and I don't know how long our dear Pop-Pop has left to live." Lisa says.
"He can come here. I'm sure he won't mind living at the manor." Leni says.
"You'll have more time with him. You just weren't expecting two events to cut into that time today." Luna says.
Meanwhile, Jack smiled and was going to put a stink bomb in Atticus's house. He dropped it through the chimney as there was a bunch of yelling as Jack laughed. "I still got it!" Jack laughed. "I still got it!"
"Wait, they'll probably have to stay somewhere else…" Alex says.
"Yeah, my guess, the idiot with the glasses, Cherry Butler." Alem tuber says.
"Wait, her last name is Butler?" Jack asked and busted a gut, laughing and falling over on his back, kicking his legs.
Meanwhile, Atticus sighed and took Oliver Queen to see some cool sights.
"Look, I know they hate us." Oliver Queen says. "You don't have to tell me that, Atticus."
"Eh, I didn't get a high class party from you guys. I'm not complaining. You guys gave me a good day regardless." Atticus shrugged.
"Right. I was totally there." Oliver Queen says, then remembered most of the Musibros missed it, but Atticus totally didn't complain. He forgot what a normal party was like.
"I still can't believe people just have cake and call it a day. I pity those people." Oliver Queen says
"It's called just enjoying life. We don't all have luxuries like you. I was in an orphanage for some time." Atticus says.
Later, they look and see a nice view of the mountains as Atticus took pictures of Oliver Queen.
"Oh, you stink…" Oliver Queen says.
"My house was stink bombed. Don't remind me." Atticus says.
"I saw." Oliver Queen says.
"I'm still not sure why they hate me, but I don't hold grudges." Atticus says.
"Are you coming to my play in March?" Oliver Queen asked.
"If I'm free then, sure." Atticus says.
"Fair enough. I'm just extending the invitation to you since I know my friends are coming to see it." Oliver Queen said, then frowned, thinking of his friends.
Alem tuber came up. "Atticus, I want a rematch! Now!" He says.
"No. I'm tired of this grudge and I'm not holding it against you." Atticus says as Alem tuber leaped and tried to punch him, but he dodged as Alem tuber tried kicking him, but he dodged.
Atticus punched Alem tuber who was sent flying as he landed.
"I told you I was sick of fighting you. And if you try to hurt me, my teammates, or my friends, there will be hell to pay." Atticus says. "I'm tired of all the hate you emit towards me and them. And so what if your brother liked me and Cherry? You aren't going to call us frauds because we went on more adventures than you ever hoped to go on. Now save that energy for the Florida show and leave me be."
Before Alem tuber could respond, Atticus had teleported away.
With Luke, he saw Hal celebrating with Carol and the other guys.
"We won! We won!" Hal says. Luke and Shane just watched as Remy and Stephen were preparing a party for them.
Oliver Queen went off to his play practice, fuming.
"They would rather celebrate the basketball championship than celebrate me. I see how it is." Oliver Queen says to himself as he goes off to change for play practice. His drama club friends took pity on him.
"Oliver? Are you sure you're okay?" Lyberti asked. She was the one playing Sandy Cheeks in the play. She was kind to Oliver Queen and knew when he wasn't at his best or when he wasn't feeling all that great.
"S-Sure…never better." Oliver Queen says, looking down, tears pricking his eyes.
"Hey, hey…it's okay. Come here…" Lyberti says as Oliver Queen collapses in her arms, sobbing. "There, there…"
He throws a tantrum, but Lyberti gets him back to a calm state.
"It's okay. It's going to be okay." Lyberti gently tells him, holding his hands. "Even if me and the whole drama club are the only ones who come to your party, we're still gonna have a great time. You know that, right?"
Oliver Queen nods, sniffing before smiling at his drama friends.
With Luke, he and Shane left the championship celebration. They went to finalize the rest of the stuff for later. They met Dinah at the Four Seasons hotel as she was hauling in her band's gear and helping the DJ set up.
"You're in a band?" Luke asked her.
"I was in a band a long time ago, but I thought I'd perform for Ollie's big day." Dinah says. "I got my band back together just for this occasion."
"That's incredible!" Shane says.
They soon finished as there was 1 hour until the party.
Oliver Queen was with his drama friends as rehearsal ended. The group walked to the mall to get new clothes for the party, then headed to the hotel to explore it before the party.
It was a big place. Oliver Queen had to smile when he saw the hotel theater and the many shops inside the hotel.
"Are you still mad at your friends?" Lyberti asked him.
"Yeah, a little." Oliver Queen says.
"If they want to celebrate that championship, let them. They made their choice." Lyberti says, patting Oliver Queen's shoulder.
The Louds got ready for the party.
"I can't believe the nerve of Oliver's teammates…" Luna says.
"What do you mean?" Lincoln asked her.
She tells him as Lincoln was in shock.
Savannah finished making the cake and desserts for Oliver's party with her siblings.
"Angry Luigi will be proud." Savannah says.
She sees Stephen and Haiku baking a cake for the team. She was disgusted as she left for the hotel with her siblings.
"Why are you upset, sis?" Jerbo asked Savannah, concerned.
"They betrayed Oliver. Sure, Alem tuber and Melony would get into fights, but we'd always stick together and support one another. Whenever Luke's fans treated us wrong, we stuck together." Savannah says. "It sickens me to see this…they betrayed their own teammate for a championship celebration…"
"That's just wrong…" Viney says.
Oliver Queen sat in his hotel room, alone. He sheds tears when he sees pictures of the championship celebration. Dinah pitied him.
"Some friends…" Oliver Queen sobbed as he threw his phone across the room. "Promising to celebrate my anniversary with me, and then they go and celebrate the basketball championship instead…I can take a hint. They hate me."
"Ollie…it'll be okay." Dinah says. "You have me, Luke, Shane, your family, and your drama club friends. This is still your night. If those other friends of yours choose to be elsewhere tonight, then that's on them. Your party is going to rock!"
Oliver Queen took Dinah's hand and smiled a little.
Meanwhile, Alem tuber came home. "Some hero. He couldn't even fight me." Alem tuber says.
Emma watched TV and was eating lots of food, like usual. Skylia was in her study.
Alem tuber sighed.
Soon, it was party time. Oliver Queen got ready for his anniversary as the Green Arrow. He sighed deeply.
"Show time..." He quietly says to himself. He then heads to the party, making a spontaneous entrance as those in attendance cheered for him.
Green Arrow smiled at this as there were pictures of him everywhere, decorations in various shades of green, and a banner that read Happy 5th Anniversary To The Green Arrow! He then smiled at the guests who cared about him the most, especially Lyberti and Dinah.
Meanwhile, confetti fell on Hal as Carol cheered for him.
Garrett smiled. "Thank you." he says, opening a gift and seeing a watermelon Garrett. Garrett was surprised by this.
"You're welcome." Melony says.
Hal opened a gift from Carol. It was a figure of him slam-dunking a basketball into a hoop.
"Thank you, my love." Hal says.
Luke could see Green Arrow was livid. He saw some fan gifts and opened them all, then sat on stage with his head hung down.
"Are you okay?" Shane asked him, putting a hand on his shoulder.
"No!" He sobbed as this was trending. Green Arrow screamed and grabbed his arrows. He was going to find his friends and he was gonna give them a piece of his mind.
The drama club was interested in seeing where this was going as one member put their phone on a drone as an Instagram live stream was soon underway.
Meanwhile,
"Okay, Boys let's go over the plan. We prank Hal tonight and then prank Oliver on March 8th." Jack says.
"Okay, let's do this." Alem tuber says. They ran out as Emma and Skara were still eating.
"You can't eat everything." Skara says to Emma.
Later, Hal opened his last gift. A boxing glove punched him to the ceiling as he fell.
"Classic!" Jack says as Garth gulps.
"Hey!" He says as the 4 nod as they start attacking Hal and Garth.
Atticus entered the room and the activity in the room stopped.
"WHAT DID I SAY EARLIER?!" Atticus screamed as Wolf Titan. The 4 of them gulped.
Alem tuber was going to do something when Cool Josh low blew him in the gut and pushed him to Atticus. Then punched Atticus with an ice fist.
"Whoo!" He says and leaves as Alex, Jack and Reilly chase him.
Hal gets up, but Green Arrow whipped him with an arrow whip as Hal screamed. Green Arrow began hissing.
"Ow! Not cool!" Hal says. Green Arrow whipped Garth, who screamed in pain.
"Stop it!" Carol says.
Green Arrow looks at Garrett, but does nothing to him. He then whips Hal again.
"Ow! As leader, I declare you stop at once!" he says in his hero form. Green Arrow stared him down.
"Why?" Green Arrow hissed. "Why did you promise me, then ditch me?!"
"Well, this victory was important." Hal says. "You're kinda ruining my victory party."
"You already ruined my anniversary party." Green Arrow hissed. "You promised that you would all be there, but what do I see? I see promise-breakers."
"Green Arrow, really, we're sorry!" Garth says.
Atticus groaned, having a concussion. He came to a bit later to see Green Arrow staring Hal down.
"I think I'm going home now." Atticus says.
"I'm leaving now." Green Arrow flew off, looking down.
"Wow…" Garrett says, stunned. Zee even saw this and made a mental note to never piss Oliver Queen off like that.
Green Arrow came back to his party and grabbed a dinner plate. He sat and ate with his drama club friends.
Soon, he looked up to see the Musibros about to perform for him. They then began to perform Save Me by Remy Zero, a song the team was very fond of. Green Arrow was surprised to see them.
Soon Dinah and Green Arrow shared a dance or two before Dinah's band went on stage and performed No Surprise by Daughtry. Dinah was an excellent vocalist.
Fans cheered as Green Arrow was smiling at Dinah.
The Moon Goats performed as Barry cheered and clapped along. He became a fan of Luna's music recently.
Soon, it was gift time. There weren't very many gifts, but Green Arrow didn't mind.
He got a new and improved costume from Dinah, some new targets and arrows from Shane, new fashion design stuff from Luke, a book on archery strategies from Garth, Sugar Buzz Studios salt water taffy and Caramello bars from Barry, new tennis gear from Hal, a talking parrot toy from Carter, and a new Shakespeare anthology from Zee.
"You are all so good to me…" Green Arrow says. "Thank you."
They smiled as there was a nice sculpture of him placed in the party room in his honor.
"Amazing!" He says. "I love it!"
Later, it was time for the slideshow. Green Arrow sat on a throne and smiled. Hal played it as a lot of Green Arrow's heroic moments were shown for all to see.
Green Arrow smiled at this.
After that, everyone played Green Arrow's favorite games and ate some more dinner.
When Luke found out about the pranks being planned for Oliver Queen on the day of his play, he made some calls as Barry hung the piñata. Nothing was going to ruin Oliver Queen's opening night.
The LDF came to take Alem tuber, Alex, Jack, and Reilly away.
"Oh, it's you guys." Alem tuber says, punching one to a lake.
"This is the part where you run." Jack says.
Little do they know, Luke has more than one way of making sure Oliver Queen's opening night goes swimmingly.
With Green Arrow, he used his archery skills to break the piñata, sending candy everywhere. Barry grinned and gave all the green apple candy to Green Arrow, who smiled.
As Jerbo prepared the cake, Green Arrow was taking pictures with guests and telling stories about his most heroic deeds. He was currently telling the story about the time he and Zee did a magic show as a distraction and he came out unscathed.
People enjoyed it.
"Who's ready to see a cake fit for the Green Arrow?" Viney asked everyone.
"Me!" Barry and Hal say at the same time.
"Me, too!" Green Arrow says.
Jerbo and Savannah wheel out the 7-tiered cake with edible jewels all over it.
"Oh, my! What a cake! And there's a little me on the very top!" Green Arrow says. "How wonderful!"
"Let's all sing the Green Arrow's praises, everyone!" Luke says as he lights the green color flame candles.
The room soon filled with singing as Shane recorded this. A smile appears on Green Arrow's face. This night got better as his friends showed up to celebrate. That is one of the things he wanted most for his anniversary. And he couldn't be happier.
"Make a wish, Green Arrow!" His friends chanted. He wished for a victory in the All-Star Talent Showcase and blew out all the green color flame candles, smiling.
"Cool! Can I have candles like those for my birthday?" Hal asked. "Please? Don't make me beg!"
"Consider it done." Luke says, smiling. Hal smiled back.
Everyone was soon gorging themselves as they ate their shares of cake and Snickers ice cream.
After the party, Green Arrow disabled his persona as he soon met up with his friends.
"Hey, Ollie-boy! Sleepover at the training grounds!" Hal says.
"Sweet!" Oliver Queen says as he follows his friends.
Alem tuber soon arrived home.
"I got another prank. It's pretty cruel." Jack snickered as he pulled a rope, where a piano hits Alem tuber.
"Ha-ha, rule number 1, trust no one." Jack says.
"Look, Garrett, you were great. You guys could have shared a party, but I'm glad everything got better." Melony says.
"Yeah. Hal finally realized that victories will come and go. But a 5th anniversary only comes around once in a lifetime, and he made the decision to be there for his teammate. And I respect a guy like him who can make good decisions on a whim sometimes." Garrett says with a smile.
