Chapter Seven "Cali, Ava, Exa"

I wiped away the bleed leaking from my nose. I might not be looking at Shinji anymore, but the sight of (his?)her nude form was forever seared into my mind. It was wrong, and I shouldn't even be thinking about it, but I blamed my hormones. Shinji was tall, slender and curvy…

"Baka!" I pinched my thighs as I tried to banish those lustful thoughts.

"Shirou, you're not thinking about…" Shinji spluttered then gasped as if realizing what I was thinking, and I was willingly to bet she knew given that she had been a male not too long ago.

"I'm going to kill you, Shirou! You hear me!" screamed Shinji in her now feminine voice.

Maybe it was the shocking discovery that Shinji was now a girl or the distracting thoughts of her new appearance, but I wasn't prepared when Shinji crashed into my back. I might have been caught by surprise but that didn't mean my body was completely caught off guard. Years of experience as a roaming hero fighting everything from normal human criminals to the few Phantasmal Species still roaming the Earth had ingrained many habits.

I pivoted around mid-air and landed on my back. I brought my arms up to protect my head and upper torso. The attacks that were supposed to rain down never came. I heard a soft moan as my knuckles hit something soft and bouncy before a gliding over small lumps.

I looked up and saw Shinji's feminine face sporting a murderous look.

"You really want to die don't you, Shi–"

"What is going on here?!" screeched a familiar voice that I wasn't expecting to hear. I turned my head in direction of the voice to see a very livid Rin Tohsaka. "Why is there girl straddling your chest?"

I looked up and down, ignoring Shinji's altered body. My cheeks reddened as I realized how compromising the situation looked from Rin's perspective. I met Shinji's gaze and saw her cheeks were very flushed. She quickly jumped off my chest and reached for the blanket that had fallen off her body when she had leapt at me in rage.

"Shirou, I hope this isn't what I am thinking it is! If you have been cheating on me," Rin growled as she moved her hand over her neck, "or else consider our relationship over."

"It's not what it looks like!" Shinji and I shouted together.

"Oh, is it?" Rin sneered as she walked over and sat down where Shinji had been not to long ago. "Shirou is mine! You got that…" She paused and scrutinized Shinji. "You look familiar. Have I seen you before… No, you bare strong resemblance to the Makiri heir, Shinji Makiri. Are you related to him? A cousin perhaps?"

The blanket-clad Shinji flinched and refused to meet Rin's gaze.

I coughed. "That's Shinji…"

"What?" Rin blurted as she turned to me. "Shinji would never do such a thing… He is too proud to change his gender…"

"Do you think I wanted this!?" Shinji screamed while gesturing at her new form.

"Maybe you wanted to take dip on the other side?" Rin wriggled her brows. "It is a quite common for people of our age–"

"Don't even dare finish that sentence, Rin Tohsaka!" shrieked Shinji and she would have likely grabbed the collar of Rin's shirt if I hadn't stepped in to place myself between the two.

"Shinji calm down," I asserted in a calm voice. "Threatening Rin is the very least thing you doing when you have a more serious matter to deal with."

With a single mental command, the blanket that I had projected earlier to protect Shinji's dignity started to fade.

Shinji squeaked in surprise then instinctively placed her right arm over her new breasts and left hand over her groin. "What the hell, Shirou!?"

"Oh, Kami!" Rin grabbed her stomach. "You're reacting so naturally that I am starting to suspect you have been lying! A male can only have such reactions if you had changed your sex several times, long enough you have the naturally female habit to protect her dignity or a combination of the two scenario!"

"This is my first time as a girl!" Shinji growled furiously as she replaced my fading blanket with a skimpy attire consisting of a white tube and navy-blue shorts shorts.

"Are you trying to kill me with laughter?!" Rin doubled over and started rolling around as she held onto her stomach in a poor attempt to suppress her growing laughter.

"If you keep provoking me then I don't mind spending the rest of my life in jail to kill you!" The former male barked.

"If you are trying to become a comedian then you are really successful!"

Shinji really looked like she was going to kill Rin with the killing intent released for the first time.

I might only have one single Magic Circuit from this world's Shirou, but that with physical abilities of my new body was more than enough. Kanshou and Bakuya materialized and I dashed forward. Before Shinji could react, she found herself laying on her back with my favored weapons once again crossed over her neck.

"Think carefully before I make you regret it." I growled angrily as while I wanted to save everyone as a hero of justice, trying to kill my lover was enough to push me over the edge and ignore my ideals.

Shinji nervously swallowed and nodded her head.

Rin stopped rolling around and laughing. "Shirou!" She shouted in alarm while getting up. "You didn't have to go this far!" Her arms reached for my hands. "If you kill Shinji Makiri then I will not be able to shield you with my influence."

For a moment, I wanted to end Shinji's life, but I eventually suppressed that thought. Shinji had shown killing intent, but she had not been anyway close to threaten Rin's life.

"Fine," I snapped while my favored weapon started to fade. "You better not dare to harm Rin again in the future, or I wouldn't end with a warning next time."

Shinji nodded her head and sighed in relief as I got up and walked away. She sat up and started heaving for breath.

"I think its time for you to leave, Shinji," said Rin as she walked besides me while looking at the former male. "Things have escalated enough, and I don't want to spark a war between our clans."

"A war might have already started," Shinji snapped as she got up. "It's seemed awfully coincidentally that I turned into a girl while on Tohsaka grounds. Almost as if trying to humiliate me so that my clan may felt the need to retaliate. And I wouldn't be surprised if that happens to be the perfect excuse for Tohsaka clan to start a war with my clan."

I expected Rin to deny it immediately, but it surprised me that she looked so calmly in response. This was a reminder how different she was from my Rin.

"Nee-san," called out a another familiar voice. "Several Makiri samurai have turned up looking for their Young Mistress. Have you seen any female Makiri around in our clan compound?"

When the speaker entered my sight, I was shocked for a moment to see didn't have the same appearance. The shock didn't last long as it was relieving to know this world's Sakura had remained with her biological family.

"Young Mistress?" Rin repeated while frowning. "What are the Makiris up to…?"

"Young Mistress…" Shinji shuddered. She inquired in a shaken tone, "Is that what my clan's samurais said?"

Sakura nodded her head.

Suddenly, Shinji's legs collapsed. "No way…"

"I think I know where does is going!" Rin shouted. "The Makiri clan has decided to sacrifice Shinji to a Heaven's Chosen."

Shinji's eyes widened and she blurted, "Shirou's become a Heaven's Chosen?!" Any embarrassment about her new form disappeared and she started to lick her lips. "Oh, Shirou~ You might have not known that our rivalry was all an act. In reality… I have always had strong feelings for–"

"Stop trying to act like a slut, Shinji! You're hundred years too early to try seducing my boyfriend."

"Oh, the only reason…"

I groaned at the unbelievable sight unfolding before me. This looked more like how my Rin and Luvia fought each other, often for my attention. I hoped that Shinji was just faking it, or I would really be in trouble if Shinji really fell in love with me. That possibility made me shudder as Rin and Luvia had been enough. It was difficult enough to be the center of a love triangle…

My mind snapped back to reality by what Sakura's words.

"What don't you share?" asked Sakura as if it was the most common thing in the world.

I choked and chaos erupted.

- O -

Habits were a scary thing. After Rin and Shinji started fighting with magic and Sakura tried to play as mediator, my body had automatically sought solace with another familiar individual. My body had moved through the unfamiliar streets of this world's Fuyuki until I had reached a temple.

"I knew Shinji was ambitious and thick-skinned, but I didn't know he was this shameless," said Issei Ryuudou, who was a Shinto priest instead of a monk that my world's Issei had become, while shaking his head. "I suggest you let Rin act as a shield to ward off Shinji."

The words I heard made me stare at Issei. His appearance and personality was the same as my Issei, but my Issei would never look my Rin with positive light. I was just another reminder I couldn't confuse the familiar faces with those I knew in my world.

"Wouldn't that make the situation worse? Rin and Shinji are the heirs of their respective clans. Their actions can influence the decisions of their clans?" I replied.

"No matter how bad things get as long as the founders of the Tohsaka and Makiri clans are alive, the situation will never escalate beyond minor skirmish. That's how close the clan founders are."

I sighed in relief. "That doesn't rule out people dying."

"I heard from the head priest that the Tohsaka and Makiri are forbidden from killing each other, but everything else still on the table."

The way Issei seemed to be so calm and accepting about what we were discussing was like a bucket of cold water being throw at me. This kind of thinking might have been normal in the Clock Tower, but for someone like Issei to accept it… Was this a common perspective amongst the people living in this world? I made a mental note to investigate this topic later.

"When I get back I am going to make sure to put my foot down. I can't prevent violence as that is part of human nature, but I am sure I can do more than just prevent murder." I grumbled.

"I wouldn't dare to intervene in the affairs of deities. It doesn't end well for mortals when you anger a deity." Issei warned.

"Oh. You don't have to worry about that. I know better than most about deities," I replied confidently as my Reality Marble was littered with Noble Phantasms recording the history between many mortals and gods. "So you remember how I mentioned I am having some memory issues after getting poisoned?" Issei nodded his head. "How common is polygamy? Sakura seemed to think it was the best option to resolve a fight between Shinji and her sister."

Issei stared at me dumbfounded before he smiled. "You know how males compared the size of penises or females doing the same about their breast size." I nodded. "Many people show of their wealth by the number of husbands/wives and children they have. It's almost expected for Heaven's Chosen to have multiple partners. Since if you are not killed then you are guaranteed to become a demigod at the very least. If the Tohsaka and Makiri clan were not keeping a tight lid on your new status, every young girl or woman would be throwing themselves at you in hopes of capturing your heart."

"Are you serious? I hope you're not joking, Issei."

"I am being serious." Issei stared at me with a deadpan look.

I threw my hands up in defeat. If Issei's words were anything to go by, I might have to worry about people attempting to seduce me. I needed to harden my heart. Only Rin and Arturia could enter my…

"Is Issei Ryuudou here?" A familiar voice called out.

Before I could respond, many Noble Phantasms associated with King Arthur started to stir. Strangely they didn't react as strongly as Kanshou and Bakuya or Gae Bolg had. This suggested that I was not in the presence of a Heroic Spirit, or gods as they had appeared in this world.

"That is me," said Issei as he stood up and walked up to the door where the voice was coming from. "How can I he–"

"Cali!"

I took several steps back as Caliburn of all things flew up to me and started to circle around as if investigating me.

"Cali get back here!"

The curious Caliburn seemed to sag before it floated back to the newcomer.

"Sorry if Cali scared you," apologized the girl as she lightly slapped Caliburn. "My name is Arturia Pendragon, nice to meet you."

My eyes fall upon the newcomer, and this time I wasn't surprised to find another familiar person. Unlike this world's Rin, Arturia looked exactly the same as mine, but she did seem different in her composure from mine. She didn't seem as wise or charismatic. I got the feeling she was more like the girl next door.

What drew my attention the most was that unlike every Heroic Spirit from my world that seemed to be a god in this world, Arturia seemed completely human, not a shred of divinity upon her.

"That's a very unusual sword you have there," I remarked, feigning ignorance as I didn't want to draw attention to myself by recognising Caliburn.

"Oh, Cali has been with my family for a long time that it developed its own ego and became self-aware." Arturia replied. She grabbed Caliburn and patted its handle. "Isn't that right, Cali. You're such a good girl!"

I didn't know whether to cry or not. The sight of Caliburn being treated like a dog was extremely baffling given that while it was not as powerful as Excalibur, could take out a small army or fort. My Arturia would certainly be shocked by the sight.

"You came looking for me," said Issei. "How can I help you?"

"A close family friend recommended your father, but when I met him, he said he was too busy and I should seek your assistance, Issei-san."

"I apologize in my father's place," Issei bowed his head to Arturia. "The shocking discovery that Fuyuki and the surrounding area was under the protection and blessings of Nagato-sama has kept my father, every priest and priestess very busy as they must prepare the ceremonies and festival in Nagato-sama's name." He lifted his head and met Arturia's gaze. "Are you here as a tourist or some other business?"

"I'm looking for a family heirloom that has gone missing." Artura replied honestly. "I can't say anymore on the subject for certain reasons. My family and I would be grateful for your help in finding the missing heirloom."

"Would this 'certain heirloom' have anything to do with Arthur-sama?" Issei asked curiously.

"I shouldn't be surprised that you recognised my family's god," replied Arturia while smiling. "Pendragon is not a surname known throughout the entire world after all."

The conversation between Issei and Arturia was something that I would have wholeheartedly focused on if it wasn't for the unruly behavior of several items inside my Reality Marble. I groaned in frustration and prepared for the inevitable.

A certain blue and gold sheath manifested despite my best attempts to prevent it and flew over to Arturia.

"Ava!" Arturia called out as the sheath that eagerly brushed itself against her cheek. "This is where you have been! Great-grandpa has been worried about you since you disap–"

Her voice was silenced when a sword rushed over and shoved the sheath aside.

"Cali, why are you mis–"

The girl's eyes widened when she two identical swords fought each other for a place to rub her cheeks.

"Why is there two Cali(s)?!"

The sheath and two swords started shoving each other for a chance to rub against Arturia's cheeks when even more powerful object came along and batted them away like a baseball bat hitting a baseball.

"Exa! How are you here? Great-grandpa would–"

If the appearance of the holy sword was shocking, then the last Noble Phantasm to escape my Reality Marble shocked Arturia.

"Rhongomyniad! What are you doing here?! Don't you know how many billions of human lives or the large part of the Human World relies on you to keep it anchored onto Earth!"
