Turbo Duel.
Just saying it gave Akarii chills of excitement.
Though...knowing how to Turbo Duel, and actually dueling it are two very different concepts.
It didn't get much better than Crow when it came down to Turbo Dueling.
She wasn't exactly nervous...but to have him as her very first opponent...in her very first Turbo Duel...
"You remember the rules of Turbo Dueling, Right?" He asked her from his position at the starting line.
"The first one to take the corner goes first." she stated.
"Very good!" Crow smirked.
This first part was easy.
It was like a race.
Which was her best subject.
Street racing by street rules is what helped kept her alive sometimes here in the Satellite.
Speed was her expertise~
However...Crow's expertise...was in finesse.
"Those sector securities scum bags aren't gonna take it easy on you, so neither will I!" said Crow, GO!" They both let their engines whir, by his coundown, they were off.
It was a neck to neck kick off, but Akarii managed to out speed him with ease. The first corner was hers.
"Speed World Initiated"
CROW: 4000
AKARII: 4000
As soon as that automated voice locked them in the duel with Speed World's field spell, she made her first move.
"The first move is mine!" she stated as she drew her card,"And I'll start by summoning Pyramid Turtle in Attack mode!"
Pyramid Turtle:
ATK: 1200
DEF:1400
"Pyramid Turtle?" said Crow,"Guess you're still ruling the undead."
"Hey! These were my mother's cards!" Akarii reminded him, "My brother gave them to me and I'm not getting rid of them anytime soon~" she hummed, "So Just call me Corpse Princess~"
Crow smiled warmly back at her.
"I'm glad to hear that you atleast still remember your brother..." he said softly, "He was always so important to you...it would suck to forget him."
That's right...
She thought to herself.
My brother...Kai...
She smirked as she slapped the card down and the hologram formed running along side her,"That's all I got so far~" she snickered,"Your move, Bird brain!"
"HaHa, That's it!?" he laughed,"You'll have to try a little harder than that if you hope to beat me." he said,"And Especially so if you are to have a hope's chance in Hell against Securities!" he said as he drew,"I'll start by playin' a monster in defense mode!" he said, "Then Next I'll lay down a face down and pass the baton~ You're up, You're Highness~!" he laughed.
"Why thank you, my liege!" she joked and drew from her deck.
Another lap, another speed counter.
She was up to 3.
And so was he.
I'll have to play this carefully...
She thought to herself
Hmmm...
"First I'll summon out Malevolent Mech- Goku En, in attack mode!" she stated as she busted out her level six monster right along side her turtle.
"Malevolent Mech- Goku En!?" He blinked,"But that's a level 6 beast...how can you summon it out without tributing!?" He asked.
"You've dueled me plenty of times before, Crow...don't you remember?" she said to him,"The effect of Malevolent Mech- Goku is similar to its non-dead counter part!" she stated,"I'm allowed to summon it out without a sacrifice!" she explained
"...Sure he gets destroyed at the end phase but...ONLY if he's the only zombie monster out on my field, which thanks to Pyramid Turtle...he is not!" she grinned," So that doesn't matter now, 'cuz he's here to put a serious dent in your life points!"
"Yeah!?" Crow called back,"Well he's gonna have to get through my monster first!"
"About that-" she grinned,"I'm gonna activate the Speed Spell Tribute To the Doomed!"
"What!?" he stated.
"If my speed counters are over 2, which by my count I stand at 3, I can activate this card and destroy a monster on your field!"
"No my Silver shield!" Crow huffed,"Oh well that doesn't matter because now his effect activates!" he grinned.
"His effect!? Aw man!" she pouted.
When Blackwing- Mistral the Silver Shield is destroyed and sent to the graveyard, all damage Crow would take from the next attack is reduced to zero.
"Well that doesn't matter!" she huffed,"Because Silver Shield can only negate ONE attack!" she grinned,"So if I attack you with Pyramid Turtle, his attack will be negated...but you will still feel the full force of Goku's mettle!"
"AHHHHH!" Crow hollered out as he took 2400 points of damage
CROW: 1600
AKARII: 4000
"You're already down to less than half!" she stated, "I can do this!" she grinned as that successful attack allowed her to speed up and get ahead, even though her speed counters dropped.
"Not bad...but don't celebrate too early!" Crow smirked as he drew.
Though with as fast as she was able to bust out a power brawler like that...maybe celebratin' isn't un reasonable at this point...
He thought to himself as he fingered through the moves he could make.
"I'm gonna activate the speed spell Gold Sarcophagus!" he stated,"by removing 3 of my 5 speed counters, I can remove a card in my deck from play, and add it back into my hand after my second stand by phase!"
"only if you can last that long!" Akarii stated.
Hmph...she's right...let's hope I can.
he thought to himself.
"Next I'll summon up Blackwing- Blizzard From the far North!" he stated,"This guy flies ahead however, he doesn't really like to fly solo." he said to her,"You know...birds of a feather and what-not." he laughed," So with his ability I can special summon another blackwing level 4 or lower from my graveyard right back on my field in face up defense position."
"Nooo that means silver shield is back!" Akarii grumped.
"Look at you, such a smart girl!" Crow laughed as the bird returned to his field in defense mode.
That should keep my defense up for this round...
He thought to himself.
"You're gravely mistaken if you think that will save you!" Akarii called back to him.
"Oh is that right!?" he scoffed.
"Got that right!" she huffed as she drew from her deck,"This duel is mine!" she declared
Hmmm...
Akarii blinked.
CROW: 1600 SPC: 2
AKARII: 4000 SPC: 5
"I'm gonna activate a speed spell!" Akarii stated,"Smashing Ground!" she huffed,"by removing 3 of my 5 speed counters, I can destroy a monster on your field with the highest defense!" she said,"So say good bye to Silver shield...again!"
"Grrh..." Crow growled as his monster exploded before him and their speed counters were equal once again, leading them to ride side by side again.
"Even with that, I still take no battle damage on the next attack!"
"Maybe so." she stated,"But you're still going to lose!" she smirked,"I'm gonna summon out Regenerating Mummy, in attack mode!"
Regenerating Mummy:
ATK: 1800
DEF: 1500
CROW: 1600 SPC: 2
AKARII: 4000 SPC: 2
"And he's just a back up plan just in case my on coming assault fails to finish you!" she smirked,"Go Pyramid Turtle!"
"Pyramid Turtle!?" he blinked,"But Blizzard has a higher attack! What's the point?"
"The point is his effect, genius!" Akarii grinned as she went in for the assault.
As planned and due to simple math- Pyrmid Turtle lost at the difference of 100 life points.
CROW: 1600 SPC: 2
AKARII: 3900 SPC: 2
"See, when my turtle is destroyed that means I can summon out another Zombie card from my deck!" she explained,"And the monster I choose is- RED EYES ZOMBIE DRAGON!"
"No...Not him!" Crow exclaimed.
That's her best beast! I can't compete with that right now...!
Akarii grinned,"since Silver Shield's effect is still in play I won't attack with him right now...but it's still the battle phase which means my assault continues!" she stated,"Go Regernating Mummy, take down Blizzard of The Far North!"
"Ahhh!" Crow huffed as he held up his arm to defend himself.
This is it.
He thought to himself.
I couldn't make it in time and my face down is no good here.
He sighed.
She summoned out two bad ass beasts faster than I could get my one...
He chuckled as he grinned.
I lose... this time...
"Now that that's taken care of~" Akarii grinned,"Red Eyes...do the honors, will you!?" she beamed as she watched her favorite monster take down the remaining road block. Crow's life points and speed counters dropped to zero and he fell behind while she sped ahead, winning the race...and the duel.

"HaHaHa...man..."Crow laughed as he dismounted awaiting the girl's return after her victory lap, to park right next to him.
"Glad to see that losing your memory hasn't affected any of your skills..." he chuckled,"Good." he sighed,"I'm glad I took care of your runner."
"That was my first Turbo Duel..." she said with a quiver of excitement,"What a rush!" she beamed,"Is this what it feels like!? All the time!?"
"Pretty much." he chuckled,"You got serious potential." he said,"I'm glad you did this well on your first Turbo Duel." he stated,"Because I guarantee you with Sector Security on your ass, it won't be your last." he explained.
"So...?" she blinked,"What do you think?" she asked nervously,"Think I have a chance?"
"Well..." he blinked,"You got the speed down to a T." he said,"And you seem like you will be able to hold your own just fine in a Turbo Duel too, so..." he blinked as he thought for a moment,"Yeah." he said softly,"I think you do."
She sighed in relief.
"But it won't be easy!" he huffed,"So...let's get to work."
She gave him a smile and a full nod. Ready to take on and do whatever it takes.
