Hello everyone!

A new series of one-shots…YAY!

I'm using the same prompts that I have been using for my Expendables one-shots (The Viking and the Amazon), so if they seem familiar, that's why.

Unlike the Expendables story, these are in a sort of order. I had started to write them in the same order as my other story, but, as I was trying to write them, I realized that it would make more sense for me to write them in episode order. So (after I figured out which episode I wanted for each prompt), I decided to post them in my episode order. Also, "interludes" will be included here and there, much like my other story.

I will attempt to remember to put which episode of the show each one-shot correlates to in the Author's Notes at the beginning of each chapter as well. This one is a part of Season 1, Episode 2: The Homecoming Job.

These center on my OC, Prudence "Pru" Beck, and her relationship with the different members of the Leverage team. She does not join with the team until their second job together, just for reference. These are going to be set both throughout the original series and after, but not going to include Leverage: Redemption (I've seen maybe 2 episodes of that and find that I prefer the original).

The legalities. I do not own any of the Leverage franchise (characters, places, and objects especially) and this is mostly au.Rated M just to be on the safe side.

Also, please don't be afraid to write reviews. I would love to hear from you all!

Hope you enjoy!

Prompt: "I'm trying my best to be polite, but if you move that knife a centimeter closer to me, I will tear you apart."

Prudence Beck didn't fully know what to do with herself. She was, currently, sitting in the Los Angeles offices of Leverage, Inc., listening in as the other "employees" of the "company" (she was really going to be using air quotes with this damn job; sometimes she really hated Alec Hardison) were either attending/serving at Castleman's little shindig for Congressman Jenkins or breaking into Charles Duford's Castelman office. As Alec started beaming information to the mainframe at headquarters, Pru continued to half listen into what was being said on comms and began to peruse that information.

She began to frown when she looked closely at some of the data that was flying in front of her. When Parker and Eliot Spencer were done obtaining the sounds that the thief needed for the safe's voice recognition, Pru pressed a finger to her own ear. "Not to interrupt all of this, but Alec, are you actually looking at this information as you're sending it?"

"Not really, why?"

"You need to take a closer look at some of them."

This time, Nathan Ford chimed in. "What are you guys seeing?"

Before she could answer, Alec had already begun to answer, since he was now seeing what she had. For some reason, Castleman Securities had all of Corporal Perry's (their client) psych evaluations and other records. As soon as Nathan heard this, he had realized that Perry was actually a witness instead of just a victim. Pru was already hacking (Alec had taught her some things quite a while ago) into the hospital's security feeds when Nathan said that he, Sohpie Deveraux, and Eliot were headed there.

Pru had the feeds all up on her monitor when she noticed Eliot confronting two rather large men that were dressed as doctors. Isolating Eliot's frequency, she tuned in just in time to hear him start to engage with them, and then one of them pulled a knife. "Gentleman. I will do my best to be polite, but if you move that knife any closer to me, I will tear you apart." Pru had to stifle a chuckle as the three men on her screen began to fight.

The following fight was rather interesting to watch. Having not dealt with very many hitters (or retrieval specialists) before, she found herself watching Eliot's every move in order to see how he would interact with the situations that he found himself in. the culmination of the fight, when Perry rolled a defibrillator to Nathan and the mastermind used it to shock the one man still standing, caused Pru to roll her eyes.

After she ensured that the comm was broadcasting to everyone, Pru smirked and pressed her comm to talk. "Mr. Spencer, there's a pack near your feet from your opponents that you may want to grab. Otherwise, I suggest that all of you get out of your respective areas. You never know who may be coming next. And I can't guarantee that you will have a clear shot out if you don't hightail it out of there."

"Sounds good. Thanks for the assistance, Ms. Beck. By the way, it's Eliot, not Mr. Spencer."

Pru rolled her eyes at Eliot's comment. "Then it's Pru, Eliot. See you all when you get back. I already found some more information that Alec needs to look at."

"We're on our way."
