"I don't like him." Walter whined, staring at him in dismay. Paige turned around, clad in her pajamas, and smiled.

"You love him and you know it." She teased, staring at him with such love and adoration.

"Do not." and then, whispering. "Interloper."

She had to laugh. He sounded like a petulant 4 year old not getting his way.

"Oh stop your whining, Walter. I love him. He's staying. You'll learn to love him." She admonished him playfully, placing a chaste kiss to his pouty mouth before crossing the few feet to climb into bed.

"You love him more than me. He's going to take over and you'll just forget about me."

The chuckle that escaped her mouth was involuntary, but it came out. His eyes and tone had her amused, he was truly convinced he had actual competition.

"Walter… seriously?! Honey, I love you. I love him, but I love you so much more." Shaking her head in amusement, a smirk playing at her lips, she leaned back into the pillows, collecting her book from the nightstand. "Sometimes you're just too cute."

"I'm keeping my eyes on you, interloper... She's mine. Not yours. Mine." He whispered to his male companion as he stepped into the room.

"Walter! Be nice to him!" She laughed, tossing a throw pillow at his face.

"I wasn't being mean, Paige. I was simply informing him of the facts." He defended, never letting his eyes leave his counterpart. "I know who you really are! She may think you're all sweet and innocent, but I know better!"

"Walter!" She was really having a hard time controlling her amusement at seeing this side of the Great Walter O'Brien.

"Look! He's trying to steal you!" Now, she was just confused. She was laying in bed, alone, thanks to Walter being so wound up about his so called rival. No stealing in sight.

"Walter… honey. Get over it." She mumbled, finding her page in her book, but he was nothing if not determined to prove his point.

"No! Come on! Look!!" Begrudgingly, she pulled herself from the warmth and comfort of their bed to see what had him so worked up. "See?"

"See what, Walter? You're losing it."

"I told you! He's trying to steal my girlfriend. Look at him! He's already trying to get into your pants!"

Paige laughed. What else could she do?

There on the floor were her discarded jeans, and their new German shepherd puppy, Newton, curled up in a ball inside of them.

"This is quite possibly the cutest moment of our entire relationship. I think I need a picture of this."

"I told you he was trying to steal you!"
