Chapter ONE: Puri Puri Prisoner & Electric Catfish Man vs. Baquma
Puri Puri Prisoner watched in horror as the enormous elephant monster sucked up his comrades, stealing their abilities. He despised this one; the others, while still monsters through and through, at least fought side by side, protecting each other from him. This one was just plain vile.
"With the special abilities I have absorbed from the fodder working in synergy with own, I can kill you with you ease!" Baquma roared. He raised his arms, pointing them all at Puri Puri, each of them emitting a different a different power. "Now die!"
Puri Puri stood still as the blast came at him; he couldn't dodge it, all he could do was guard against it. It would no doubt be powerful, not to mention painful, but he felt certain that the power of his infinite love would overcome it!
Before Baquma launched his attack, Electric Catfish Man, the sole remaining monster who wasn't sucked into Baquma's gut, suddenly punched the monster eating monster in the face with a powerful, electricity filled punch.
"Give back my beloved, you overgrown vacuum cleaner!" he screamed. The punch barely phased him, with the massive elephant simply blowing him away with his massive trunk, sending him hurtling into Prisoner.
"You traitorous scum!" Baquma yelled. "You dare side with a human?!"
"I side with my love!" Catfish Man yelled back. "The only reason I joined the Monster Association was to protect her!"
"You're a disgrace! If it wasn't for the fact that I already ate your 'beloved' and acquired her electricity, I'd eat you too!" Baquma raised his arms again to fire his attack. "You'll see her in Hell after I've finished digesting her!"
He launched his attack, a large explosion of different powers blasting out of his hands. He laughed as the smoke cleared, believing he'd already won. He stopped when he saw both the hero and monster still alive, the former protecting the latter with his own body!
"You- You saved me," Electric Catfish Man said. "Why?"
"I've never known a monster to be so full of love!" Prisoner said solemnly as the smoke cleared. "I may not understand the love between monsters, especially female ones, but I do understand the power of love itself!"
"Your brave face doesn't fool me!" Baquma gloated. "Look at you! You took so much damage, you're trembling!"
Prisoner lifted a hand to eye level. It was true, his entire body was trembling; even if he himself accepted the pain as a proof of his love, that didn't mean his body did. Or did it?
Prisoner looked at the stone wall next to him and brought his finger to a point, putting it on the stone wall. He added the smallest amount of pressure, and the stone wall suddenly cracked several meters in all directions!
"Wha-?!" Baquma stammered. "How did you do that!?"
"What just happened?" Electric Catfish Man asked. He suddenly gasped in fear. "Oh no, this is bad!"
"It seems love has given birth to a brand new technique!" Prisoner announced, striking a pose.
'Vibration Angel: Descend'!"
Baquma merely stared at him, dumbfounded by the constant love speeches. "WHAT?!"
Prisoner charged towards the monster, sending a flurry of chain punches. "VIBRATION DARK ANGEL RUSH!"
Baquma exploded into pieces the moment Prisoner's first punch made contact, killing him and blasting the monsters he sucked inside him free.
"Darling!" Electric Catfish Man yelled, immediately running for Maiko Plasma. He grabbed her and hugged her as hard as he could. "You're alive!"
"What happened?" Maiko asked. The other monsters were still dazed or unconscious from what they'd just gone through. "Did you kill Baquma?"
"No, it was him!" he replied, pointing at Prisoner, who was now standing in the bloodied remains of the monsters. "He saved me as well!"
"What happens now?" Maiko asked. She knew they couldn't defeat him, leaving them at his mercy.
"You get out of here," Prisoner said to her. "Out of respect for the true love you showed for each other, I'll let you go. Live your lives together, as true lovers should! I only ask that not attack humans anymore, or cause any nonsensical destruction! As long as you have each other, as long as you have love, you don't need anything else!"
The two looked at each other with uncertainty. Electric Catfish Man looked at Prisoner with serious eyes. "We only joined the Monster Association because they forced us," he told him. "So long as we are not hunted by your kind, we will leave well enough alone, you have my word."
The two turned to leave, the other monsters present looking between them and Prisoner, wondering if they should take the offer as well.
"One more thing," Electric Catfish Man said, turning around to look at Prisoner. "I can sense earthquakes with my whiskers, and just before you killed Baquma, I sensed an enormous one. The biggest I've ever sense! Cataclysmic! It'll happen soon, in the next few minutes. I'd suggest getting out of here while you still can."
"Why tell me this?" Prisoner asked. Though he now knew that these monsters could feel love, and was willing to let them go free, he was still hesitant to trust them.
"As payment for saving my beloved," he replied. "Thank you again."
Prisoner watched as the monster lovers left, the other, smaller, weaker monsters following suit. He could only hope they would keep their word and keep out of trouble.
Prisoner fished out his communicator and pressed the button to speak into it. "I've acquired some intel," he said. "One of the monsters I just fought mentioned something about an earthquake that will occur in the next few minutes. It seemed very panicked about it, so I believe it was telling the truth. Called it cataclysmic. Everyone be on guard, just in case."
Prisoner 'pocketed' the communicator and turned around to resume his mission. He had to find and rescue his own lovelies before something bad happened to them.
