Hello. My name is Ginny Molly Potter. Yes, you heard that right. The Ginny Potter, you know, the one from that book series you've all read.

I know what you're thinking. "This is just some author writing in first person". Well, this will come as a shock to you, but, no, actually. What you are reading now are words written by a real person. Yes, let me cut to the chase. I'm real. Harry Potter is real. We're all real, Ron, Hermione, Hogwarts, Diagon Alley, Quidditch, you name it, we exist.

You're probably shaking your head, laughing in fact. I don't blame you, if I were you, I'd think the same. After all, you grew up reading our story, and believing it was nothing more than a brilliant work of fiction from an incredibly talented writer in JK Rowling.

But I'm here to set the record straight. What JK Rowling wrote, is not a work of fiction at all. It is a biography, or well, an altered biography, of the life of my incredible husband, and the many adventures we had during our teenage years.

We were approached by her shortly after the Battle of Hogwarts. She is a squib, who comes from a very wealthy and prestigious magical family. The Rowlings have existed for centuries, and were one of the sacred twenty nine pure blooded families. That is, until Joanne was born, and when it was discovered she had no magical ability, the first in her families known history, they were removed from the Sacred twenty nine, and that list now stands at twenty eight.

The family were obviously very disappointed to lose their status after so many years, but they are thankfully on the side of light, so they still love Joanne, and wouldn't ever dream of disowning her.

Anyway, what Harry, I and many others achieved in defeating the most dangerous dark wizard in history was incredibly significant, not just for the wizarding world, but for the world in general. We saved not only ourselves, but Muggles, non magical folk such as everyone who's currently reading this. As such, everyone was clamouring for Harry to tell the full story, how we managed to achieve what we did, and that was what prompted Joanne to approach us.

She wanted to be the one to tell our story in full detail, everything from beginning to end.

At first we were quite hesitant, having had our experiences with Rita Skeeter, who by the way, we shut down immediately when she came forward with a similar offer of her own.

But Joanne was very clear, she only wanted to tell the story how it happened, and said that if she marketed it to the Muggles as fiction, she could make huge amounts of money, far more than she could have dreamed of ever making if only the magical society knew about it. She also promised us a cut of her revenue as a thank you for giving her permission, a promise she has honoured to be fair to her.

She assured us that there would be no breach of the International Statue of Wizarding Secrecy here, that no Muggle in their right mind would ever believe that her story was the truth. They would just enjoy it as a fantasy tale.

So, we agreed to let her do it. She sat down with Harry and I for around a month, and we told our story in as much detail as we could, and we allowed her to view our memories within our Pensive, as well as that of Ron, Hermione, our parents, and a select few others.

This was back in 1998, and she has since gone on to release a blockbuster 7 part series, as you all know. You may be wondering how the first book was released in 1997 then? Well, we used a time turner to send copies of it back one year, for the muggle world, to further assist in the cover up.

It was also made into an 8 part "film" series, as you Muggles called it, where the story was translated on to some type of moving picture reel that you guys created, I've no idea how it works, my dad's more interested in such things. Hermione taught me how to type and upload these words onto something she calls "the internet". Apparently it's a global interconnected system muggles created to ensure fast and easy communication. Apparently this will also make it faster for muggles to see than if I tried to get it published as a book.

But here's where the point of this whole thing comes in.

Joanne's re-telling wasn't entirely accurate. Her description of Harry's actions and emotions is accurate for the most part. But she really messed up on some aspects, and bloody hell, in particular, myself!

When I first got my hands on copies of the story to read, I couldn't believe how I was presented. I found myself, especially in the earlier books, to be the complete opposite of what I was! You muggles have all been lead to believe that I was this shy, weak person who had a silly puppy love for Harry, and therefore I couldn't be in the same room as him without making a fool of myself!

The film series is even worse, as I'm literally presented as a completely different person in those. Don't ask me what the fuck they were thinking, especially with the 6th one and those scenes where I feed Harry and tie his shoelaces- honestly I feel sick writing this! It was so bloody embarrassing watching those at the Burrow with everyone, they couldn't stop laughing at me!

If I ever find out who was responsible for that, they're getting the biggest bat bogey hex in history, trust me.

We all gathered together there to watch them, but of course I no longer live there. Me and Harry now live in Godric's Hollow with our children, and I still own a flat in Holyhead from when I played for the Harpies. We sold 12 Grimmauld Place a couple years ago, as it was a bit of a white elephant. Harry didn't want to live there and we didn't know anyone else who did, so we put it up for sale. Bought us in a couple hundred thousand galleons too!

We borrowed what you lot call a television and Hermione set it up. Joanne ensured we got a copy of each film to watch as soon as it was released to your "cinemas". Dad's taken it apart in the garage now, I still don't understand his fascination with such things.

My professional Quidditch career lasted a lot longer than the 4 years Joanne claimed. I had a large maternity leave period, but I returned to the pitch soon after my third child was born. More on that later though.

It, according to Joanne, took me 3 YEARS, and lots of help from Hermione, to get over my puppy love for Harry.

Well let me tell you right now, that is absolute nonsense. Yes, I did love Harry back then, and I still love him more than anything, he's my husband for god's sake! But in no way was I ever afraid to talk to him, nor did I ever do such embarrassing things in front of him, as I shall soon describe to you.

From the 5th book onwards, I am described pretty accurately personality wise, though I'm still very underrepresented. I was in a lot more scenes than she made out, and I was much closer to Harry, Ron and Hermione than the books present. Being a year younger than them, I of course also had friends in my year, Luna and Demelza in particular, and we had our own adventures in addition to the ones I shared with "the Golden Trio". I spent about 60 percent of my time with them and 40 percent with Harry, Ron and Hermione. Joanne even cut out my partial role in the Horcrux hunt! Honestly, I really can't understand why she made me into such of a lesser person than I was! I was a crucial part of Harry's story from beginning to end!

I'm also aware of a number of fanfiction stories about our lives. I've read a few of them, and they can be quite entertaining if very inaccurate. I know that I'm posting this on one of those sites, but that's only so I can get it to as many eyes as possible. This is a TRUE story that I'm about to tell.

Anyway, here I am. I'm here to tell you my story, the real story of Ginny Molly Potter. It's going to take me a while, but it's going to be worth it. All I can say is, I hope you believe me. I need to get who I really am out there. I know I'm taking a huge risk by doing this, I'm basically breaking the biggest law of our world. But honestly I don't care. I've achieved all I wanted to in life. I married Harry, I played professional Quidditch for my beloved Holyhead Harpies (who are the best Quidditch team in the world by the way, ignore anything Ron says) and I have 3 beautiful children.

If the Ministry finds out, then oh well, I'll take whatever comes, at least the world will know who I really am.

Oh and by the way, I'm not sure how often i'll be able to post. It will be fairly regularly, but i can't give exact time scales. I have to go to Hermione's parents place in London to do this as they are the only people I know with an internet connection. Dad wanted to get one at the Burrow, but Mum put her foot down on that. I have to juggle this with my full time job as the Daily Prophet's sports editor, so posts will be made when I have the time. The reason my account username is Harpies's Greatest Chaser is because some muggle users already have accounts with my actual name, annoyingly.

I am Ginny Molly Potter, and this is my story. My REAL story.
