Empty. It looked empty in the Loud house, well... except for the pets that lived in this nice yet chaotic household. The four main pets, Charles, Cliff, Walt, and Geo were playing some canasta together in the living room, and it looked like Cliff was winning most of the matches, much to the annoyed pets' dismay. Suddenly, before the black cat can win the final round of this gambling game, the front door barged open, startling the pets, and making them scramble out of the living room. It was the whole family, with Lori in her golf outfit with a large trophy and a check of ten thousand dollars. Her whole family was behind her, cheering and congratulating the eldest sister of the family for winning some kind of contest.
It was a championship golf tournament against Hazeltucky. Though it was a very close call for Lori, for she almost screwed it up in the final match against her top rival; Patty Putter. She was one of the greatest golf players in America, but she met her match against Lori Loud herself.
The eldest Loud sister felt herself being tightly hugged by her father, almost like a bear was hugging her. Of course she couldn't breathe, but Rita pulled her husband out of the hug so she can regain her breath. "Sorry Lori, i'm just so proud of you, honey." said Lynn Sr. "The first Loud to win an annual golf tournament in our family history." he was crying more tears of joy, typical for his side of the family. He got it from his own father, who can be quite emotional himself.
"I know dad." Lori smiled. "I can't believe it myself. And i've literally heard how much of a good player she is at golf. I thought for sure she would win and not me."
"Yet you managed to send her home crying." Lynn Jr said boastfully. "though i could have done a much better job. I'm pretty awesome."
Typical for the sports sister to be boastful and proud since she is quite prideful and self-centered, believing she is better than everyone else. "Come on, Lynn. Let Lori have this." said Lincoln. "She did something not many can accomplish."
"True, nobody but me."
"Lynn!" Rita scolded her daughter. To her eldest one, she smiled. "Honey, this is quite an accomplishment. I think this calls for a celebration. It's your call on where we should eat."
"Well, i don't know if it calls for anything really special." Lori admitted.
"Oh yes it does." Leni said. "You totes won a championship game."
Lori made a chuckle. "OK, OK, i was thinking Jean Juans French Mex Buffet."
"Sounds good to me." said Lincoln
"I'll call for reservation." Lynn Sr proudly said. This was certainly going to be a night the whole family will never forget. Yes, Lori had accomplished something big by beating Patty Putter, one of America's greatest golf players today in a golf tournament. Was it sheer luck? Or was it because of Lori's incredible golfing skills? Perhaps both would sum it up how Lori won a championship game. Looking at her check for ten grand, she wondered what she could do with it. Ten thousand was a lot of money.
"So what are you going to spend that on?" asked Lucy, scaring the oldest sister with her ghostlike entrance, a running gag she would do.
"Lucy! I literally hate it when you do that!" Lori exclaimed in exasperation
"Sorry, not sorry." Lucy smiled. "Kinda funny to have you guys react like this."
"You are the house' 'Scream Queen' after all." Lisa rolled her eyes.
"Look, i don't know what i want to do with this, ok. I could put it in my college fund."
"That's a good idea." said Lincoln.
"Unless she can get a full scholarship to her dream college." Luna said
"Those are rare unfortunately." Lisa pointed. "One would have to be academically gifted in education to receive such a wondrous gift."
"Or probably luck." said Lola.
"Yawn!" Lana groaned while rolling her eyes. "You can probably save it for a new car. You always wanted one."
"Ooh, yeah i did always want a car." the eldest sister smiled. "But i don't know when something really big might come up, so i might hold on to it for the time being."
Lynn Sr smiled and said: "That's probably best. Just don't lose that check, honey. Keep it somewhere safe where no one will steal it. Like a vault or a safe."
"Literally noted, dad." Coming upstairs to change out of her golf clothes and put her golf clubs in the closet, she pulled out a small box to put the nice check in and called her boyfriend, Bobby, about the wonderful news that had just came up, and her amazing accomplishment.
Tonight was certainly going to be a wonderful dinner night for Lori and the rest of her family. Nothing like fusion foods to celebrate a sports victory.
Later that day, in the restaurant, it was quite a feast, lots of fusion foods and yummy beverages to sip upon. What was even better was there was a cake that was round, in the shape of a golf ball, and a golf club head next to it, and there were chocolate and vanilla layers in the yummy cake.
As soon as everyone had their dinner, they all had their slice of cake, and it was out of this world. "Well? What do you think family? I made it myself." said Lynn Sr. "nothing like dad's cooking to make the night better." Everyone in the family smiled and thanked the patriarch for the yummy cake he had just made. Yes, cake makes everything better.
Right after the feast, the whole family went home with full bellies and watched some TV for the remainder of the night before heading to bed.
Lori was smiling as she was sleeping, for she was proud of the accomplishment she had done at the tournament. She will go down in history as one of the greatest golf players in North America.
In the morning
Lori was reading a magazine and heard her phone beep a message. It was her Bobby Boo-Boo Bear, and she was always excited to talk to her loving boyfriend. The text said that he was so proud and happy for his girlfriend and think they should get a smoothie together as a date.
Ooh, literally a good idea, Boo Boo Bear." Lori said out loud. A rather loud commercial blasts on the TV, and it looked interesting.
Are you tired of your skin being boring and full? Well now you can be a whole new person!" Said the TV announcer. "With the whole new Titan Tan Machine nine-thousand! The best tanning bed anyone can ever lay in. Comes with a croissant maker, a small tv as you tan, and a music player!
this invention sure looked interesting for Lori
The announcer then said: "this machine is a worm of art, and it helps you not look so bland and boring with your pale skin and dry patches. With the Titan Tan Machine, your boyfriends and or your girlfriends will love you ten times more than ever! So get your Titan Tan Machine Nine-thousand today! For this is not available in stores. Cost is five-thousand dollars, but with this offer, you will only have to pay two-thousand dollars, and a free hair curler to go with it. Must be eighteen years or older to call."
When the commercial was over, Lori knew what she had to do. This tanning bed she just saw on the Tv screen sounded like a perfect thing to relax and get some fresh tan on her skin.
Instantly, she made the phone call and ordered the luxurious tanning bed for herself. It was going to take a few hours for the large package to come to the front door, and the eldest Loud sister went to the bank with her mother to take out two grand from her check of ten grand from the tournament yesterday.
"Honey," said Rita, "are you sure you want to buy that tanning bed?"
"Literally sure, mom. It's a tanning bed that literally thinks outside the box. "If there are upgraded massage chairs, why not upgraded tanning beds?
"Fair enough, Lori. I just don't want you to think you're being ripped off or scammed."
"the results on the TV showed perfect results, mom." Lori pointed. "The before and after pictures, results, everything."
"OK, ok." Her mother chuckled. "There's a thirty day money back guarantee anyway."
Back home, Lori waited for approximately two hours before her tanning bed finally came. Though she needed the help from the strongest sister in the family, Lynn, who helped her big sister carry the thing into her room, and unbox it.
"Ooh! It looks even better in person." Lori said in excitement. "i literally can't wait to try this baby out."
Turning on the power to this machine, there was a sound of low humming coming from it, and the excitement was killing her. Lori hurriedly changed into her two-piece swimsuit, and promptly got in the machine, closing the hatch as the machine was doing its work.
This machine felt so... soothing and refreshing to the eldest sister, something like a sauna or a steam room, but with no water involved. Lori knew she was going to be the most beautiful tanned girl in her school, and wondered how love-struck Bobby will be seeing his new tanned girlfriend.
good thing there was a clock inside to help her keep track of how long she has been inside the tanning bed, and a little television screen to keep her from getting bored.
this machine seemed a little too relaxing for her, so relaxing that she slowly fell asleep inside the pod. Perhaps the Tanning Bed was too much fun for her to endeavor. Little did Lori know that while she was in her sleep in the tanning bed, an hour passed, and the timer suddenly malfunctioned, which made it not go off and remind Lori that her tanning was done. Lori will look as dry as a bone after this know, or... will she?
Within her body was a great change happening. Some kind of change like an atom breaking apart or some kind of fire or mutation in her own DNA. These tanning rays were causing some kind of radioative change, and some kind of miniature, microscopic piece of flame had got inside Lori's body like a bed bug digging into someone's skin in the dead of night, but there was no irritation, or pain as the bite was inside her body, despite being a miniature spec of fire. Though she did feel something... funny as the flame traveled through her body, like some kind of chill, but it was warm instead of cold.
The follicle continued traveling to Lori's body, and it hit her DNA, causing some wonderful, and miraculous fusion between her and fire. The only question was; can she sustain this? or will this kill her? Hopefully, she will wake up some time from her slumber
Another hour has passed and it was just then Lori woke up from her sleep, and realized she fell asleep from all of this tanning. Hurriedly, she got out of the tanning bed, and whille she did get tanned and not bleached, she realized she had a milkshake meeting with Bobby, and looked at her phone, with messages from him saying: "Hey babe, i'm ready for my date. Are you ready?" and another text which spelled: "Babe? where are you?" and another one with a sad face that said: "Babe! Why aren't you answering me?"
Lori gasped and realized that she needed to see her boyfriend right away, and hurriedly looked in her closet to look for the nicest dress to see her boyfriend for the smoothie date. At last, she found her short dress from the date at Jean Juan's French Mex buffet, and grabbed it from the coat hanger and before she could react to anything else, she saw flames engulf the dress, setting it on fire like a match, and it looked like... it came from her fingertips.
Letting out a small shriek, Lori pointed at the dress with her left finger, and... a small wave of fire appeared out of it, unleashing more flames into the dress.
Another shriek of horror came out of Lori as there was a fire in her bedroom and Lana noticed the screaming, and announced there was a fire.
"Whoa!" Lana exclaimed. Lisa came in and pulled out a fire extinguisher to put out the flames of the now-ruined dress, now reduced to a small pile of ashes.
"What happened?" asked Lincoln
"I... I don't know." Lori said, beginning to hyperventilate. "I was getting ready for a date with Bobby, and... the dress caught on fire! I literally don't know what happened!"
"it's not like it to be caught on fire in thin air." Lola said.
"But I think something happened to me." Lori said, feeling like she was about to throw up from all the anxiety she is experiencing. She almost couldn't breathe properly from the anxiety building up in her system. "And, when I pointed my finger, fire shot from it! Oh! Look at my beautiful dress!"
she flailed her arms at where her dressed used to be, and waves of fire shot out of her hands, scaring everyone.
"What is happening to meeeeee?!!!?" Lori exclaimed as she felt her father hugging her to calm her down.
"It's ok. It's ok, Lori." Lynn Sr said. "Lisa can look in to this." Then he looked at the prodigy with a frantic look. "Can't you, Lisa?"
"Of course. Nothing a little testing cannot handle, father."
