This nauseous gas was something truly vile and awful to both behold and inhale at the same time. Many people around Lori were either unconscious or sleeping, almost looking like they were all dead.
Lori realized that these people have probably inhaled too much of this green gas and covered her face to prevent her from succumbing to the gas too.
She needed to find out what was causing this awful and putrid gas, and on top of that, she needed to find a way to stop this gas from spreading across the whole city, because as far as she knew: it can kill the whole population if they inhaled it.
By happy mistake, there was a gas mask in this junkyard and she wasted no time in running over to it and snagging it, putting it on her face so she wouldn't have to inhale this substance any longer.
"Whew, that's better." Lori smiled. "Now what or who is causing this to happen?"
"I can answer that for you." Said a male voice that sounded like a funny voice. A little gruff and rather funny, like someone sounding like a villainous puppet in a puppet show with a goofy voice."
Lori looked over to see where that voice had come from, and it was some kind of mutant monster, or... a kind of slime beast with yellow eyes and a large mouth with jagged teeth showing like a crocodile or an alligator's mouth. His body looked humanoid but he was like a green Sasquatch but with slime instead of fur.
"Who do we have here?" Said the mutant freak.
"Ok, who are you?" Lori asked with her arms crossed with a repulsed look on her face
"Call me the Polluter." Said the thing. "A true planet killer! Every environmentalist' worst nightmare! Look at this stupid planet filled with clean air and breathable atmosphere for people to enjoy. Well I intend to create a new world that only I can enjoy! And I'm afraid you are not part of it."
"Are you human? Or are you literally just moss?"
"I used to be human, little lady, but thanks to some freakish accident I implanted in my body, the Polluter is born!" Said the villain.
"Well that's not going to happen!" Lori pointed her right finger at him in a threatening manner. "Look at what you are doing to these people!"
"Why should I care about people?" Said Polluter with a sneering grin. "These people can all just die from my gas as far as I'm concerned."
Angered at how this thing is just rotten to the core, Lori shouted: "You literally don't even know who I am, do you?"
"Oh, but I know very well who you are, Volcano Girl. You're becoming the talk of the whole town. You're becoming Royal Woods' new hero and hope."
"I literally figured." Lori smirked. "Then you should know my powers of pyrokenesis, and how dangerous I can be."
Polluter let out a laugh. "Well, I can be dangerous too. Take a look around you."
Lori looked at these people suffering right now and realized that Polluter was right, he is a far dangerous villain. "Look, I would like to know why you are like this, but I have more important things to worry about, like taking you down, and saving these people!"
"Heh, I like your spunk, Volcano Girl." Polluter sounded amused. "And a to-the-point kind of girl, another thing I can appreciate. Ok then, let's have some fun."
He folded his right hand into an enlarged fist and punched Lori into a pile of wood. Luckily, Lori got up and wiped her face of any scratches or smudges. "That literally hurt." She said to herself.
She flew up to him and fired a wave of flames form her hands, making the mutant move around crazily as if he was catching on fire.
This gave Lori the perfect opportunity to try and get the unconscious poisoned people some place safe from the fighting. She fired another wave of fire at Polluter and he was roaring its anger in frustrations
"Cut that out!" Polluter bellowed. "You're ruining my precious green smoke!"
"You want to know something funny?" Said Lori, "Fire is a natural thing sometimes."
"Heh, I heard that."
Then the superhero rushed at Polluter and gave him a few powerful kicks to the face, making him fall to the ground with a thump. The ground trembled at the impact of the brute's fall, then Lori tried to burn him into crisped seaweed. Unfortunately, thanks to Polluter's quick thinking, the villain dodged out of the way by rolling to the right and tackled Lori like a charging bull in a bullfight, and then he picked up the teenage girl by holding her by the upper part of her suit.
"Time to burn out this candle light." Polluter readied a fist to punch Lori to death, but Lori, just about having enough of this creep, tried something she didn't believe she could do in the first place. Like a dragon about to burn a knight to death, Lori unleashed a breath of fire into Polluter's ugly face, making him yell in pain and immediately putting Lori down, for he was in too much pain and confusion to grip her anymore. "You little twerp!" he bellowed in frustration. "I will make you die slowly and painfully for that!"
Lori had the perfect opportunity to start punching the evil pollution creature over and over again in the face, and even kicking him in the groin in the process.
"Oh i'm going to be sore in the morning!" Polluter strained himself.
"Enough games, Polluter, please tell me those people are not dead!"
Letting out a small cough, Polluter said: "Relax, they're not dead... yet. All they need is medical attention to the hospital within given time. Somewhere around... ten to fifteen minutes, or else."
"Or else..."
"There will be a lot of funerals, stupid!" said Polluter, sounding impatient. "What kind of question is that?!"
"First things's first." Lori made a phone call to "9-1-1" so that the ambulance can come save these poor, poisoned people, and it took only a few minutes for the paramedics to arrive and haul them to the back of the ambulances, though they had to wear gas masks like Lori was wearing so they wouldn't be poisoned too.
Lori also made another phone call to Lisa since this villain was probably too dangerous for any prison to handle. No prison would know what to do with this... creature. Which was why Lisa was going to secure this freak in some kind of pod or case so it would never hurt anyone ever again. When Lisa arrived, a couple of her robot friends, including Todd, have restrained the still-crippled Polluter, and placed him in a large, seven-foot tall glass pod, and closed it with a metal clasp that let out a "hiss" sound as it was fully closed.
"What? No, no! What have you done to me!" said the Polluter, trying so hard to get out by punching through the glass around him.
"My sis- i mean, friend here has literally put you in a large tube to make sure you never do any destruction like this ever again." Lori had a bold smile on her face. "So don't bother trying to escape, because the glass is made out of plexiglass."
"NOO!" Polluter tried punching his way out of his new prison, but alas; Lori was right, the glass really is made out of bulletproof plexiglass. "This isn't over yet, Volcano Girl! I will get out of here, and when I do, I will-!" Lisa promptly muted the container so she and Lori wouldn't have to hear possible profanity from this creep. Once again, Lori had saved the day from certain destruction, and the superhero was feeling proud of herself for accomplishing yet another magnificent feat
