A/N: The truth of everything makes Patrick more confused about his position, even about Ozpin's theory about him being able to possess the power of the Silver Eyes. His Semblance can give out hints of its possibility, but is it actually true? Even if his eyes can turn silver, will they provide the power of light or something else? One thing's for sure, that theory is nothing more than a fleeting dream now that everyone knows the true nature of Patrick's genetic race.

Chapter 56: The Stowaway

The morning has come. Selena, Marlene, Team CPER, Mashika, and Marina are all waking up. It's early morning. Selena was the first to wake for an early morning jog. While everyone is having breakfast, they all notice there's one person missing, and Mashika has a bad idea what it is he could be up to.

Patrick is hiding out at the docks. He is spying on a large cruise ship where he shadowed those two shady characters.

Passengers are boarding on the ship. Patrick keeps an eye on them. Eventually, he finds the target they spoke of: Weiss Schnee, with her father Jacques.

"Of course." He whispers to himself. "The Schnee Daughter."

When the last of the few passengers starts to get on board, Patrick makes his move. He sneaks over to the ocean, activating the Ice Dust on his Bracers. He walks on the water, which where he steps on freezes into ice, towards the boat. Once he reaches it, he sets one foot on the wall and then activates the Gravity Dust. He starts walking up the wall until he reaches the top. He sticks his head out nearly to see. Once the cost is clear, he then pulls himself up and quickly moves to hide somewhere.

Patrick hides out in the storage room. Once the ship is setting sail, he lays low for a while. He uses his X-ray vision to watch the hallway. The second it's been long clear of security, he started to make his move. Patrick leaves the storage room and starts wandering the hallway.

Patrick turns a corner but retreats when he sees two security guards. He listens in on the conversion. "Keep a look out for possible stowaways. We've already caught over a dozen citizens trying to sneak on board."

The second guard lets out an exhausted sigh. "This is the 5th time this rotation. What is it with people and trying to get on luxury cruises?"

"Quit complaining. Cleaning up messes is our job." The first guard says.

The guards start moving. Patrick watches them until they are turning the corner at the other end of the hall. "Better keep low or I'm caught." He tells himself.

Patrick wanders around the cruise ship. He does his best to try to avoid getting any of the security's attention. There are moments when he finds himself in tight corners. He begins to wish he could use his Grimm power to hide out in Shadow.

He then decides to go into public hiding. He blends in with the general crowd by the pool. He keeps his eyes and ears open for anything suspicious.

After a while, he spotted a familiar face. A familiar face that sends a chill down his spine. He keeps his eyes on the target and even starts to follow him from a safe distance. The man sits down with another man at a table. Patrick sits three tables away from them. The waiter approaches them. He asks for their order. Patrick lowers his menu to look at them and then activates his Scope Vision.

Patrick reads their lips. 'What would you like?' The waiter asks.

'We will both have the delicious sexy berry in two extra large cups.' The one man says.

The waiter only nods and then leaves. Didn't even bother to take their menus. Patrick looks all over the menu and have found nothing of that name. This raises his suspicions and keeps an eye on them. Once and a while, he gets a waiter or waitress asking for his order. After the second time, he decided to order something random and they left him alone.

Finally, the previous waiter returned to those two guys. He delivers two drinks on a tray and then leaves. Patrick keeps a close eye. He watches them take the drinks and then removes a sheet from the tray. Patrick zooms in on his Scope Vision and sees what is written on it.

'Tonight. Suite 221 at Midnight.'

Patrick quickly types it on his scroll, then lays low as the two men make their leave.

When five minutes have passed since they left, Patrick makes his leave as well. He wanders the halls thinking of a plan. But there's only one thing that's vexing him. "Where am I gonna hide out until then? I could hide out in a storage room. Maybe..."

"Excuse me, sir!" Patrick becomes startled. He turns to find a security guard approaching him. "Are you a passenger on this cruise?"

"I wouldn't be here if I'm not." Patrick says.

"Don't get smart with me, wise guy." The security holds his hand out. "May I see your ticket?"

"Uh..." Patrick's paused silence lasts suspiciously long. "I think I might have left it in my room. Let me just go and..."

"Not so fast. You're coming with me for question-" The security guard is shortly interrupted by a new voice. A familiar voice to Patrick.

"There you are. I've been looking all over for you." Patrick turns to see Paige is arriving.

"Oh, Miss Paige. Pardon me, I was just dealing with this stowaway." The security guard says.

"Stowaway? He's not a stowaway. He's my personal bodyguard." Paige says. Patrick feels confused at first but then realizes what she's trying to do. He has no idea how to react to this. "I asked him to go check out on something for me, but when he left he left his badge in our suite. I was looking for him for the past half hour." Paige grabs Patrick by the hand. "If you don't mind, I'll take it from here."

"Uh...Of course." The security guard turns his attention to Patrick. "Apologies for the misunderstanding. Carry on."

The security guard makes his leave. Once he is long gone, Paige's expression relaxes. "Oh, thankfully he bought that. Anyway, what are you doing here, Patrick?"

"I could be asking you the same thing." Patrick says. "I didn't expect to see you on this cruise ship."

"Nor did I with you. Come. Let me take you to my suite and we can explain everything to each other." Paige says.

The whole time Paige and Patrick walked, they had been dead silent. The walk was a bit long, but they reached the suite on the third floor. Suite 301.

Paige opens the door and she and Patrick walks in. "I'm back." Paige says.

"Paige." Kayla waves at her. But she is surprised to see she had brought a familiar guest. "Oh, Selena's friend?"

"It's Patrick." Patrick says.

"Uh, right." Kayla says nervously.

Amanda looks at him with major disapproval. "Uck. What is he doing here?"

Patrick crosses his arms throwing a glare at Amanda. "Wonderful to see you too, Amanda." Patrick says, sarcastically.

"Patrick was in a tight situation with the cruise security, so I pulled him out of it." Paige says.

"You mean he's a stowaway?" Amanda asks.

"Is that a problem?" Patrick asks.

"Not at all. In fact." Amand throws a devious face. "It's just what I hoped for."

Patrick throws Amanda a threatening glare. Just then, there's a toilet flush from another room. The door opens and some 12-year old boy comes out with a bucket of cleaning supplies. "All right, Amanda, I'm done with the bathroom." The boy comes in between Amanda and Patrick and takes notice of Patrick. "Who is this guy?"

"No one you need to know of, Sonta." Amanda says.

Sonta looks back and further on Amanda and Patrick, noticing the mean glares they are throwing at each other, then gets a devious idea. "Oh! I get it! He's your boyfriend!"

Hearing that startles both Patrick and Amanda, and they both yell at him in unison.

"He's/I'm not my/her boyfriend!"

But he doesn't listen, just keeps going with the teasing. "Amanda and her boyfriend sitting in a tree! K-I-" He makes kissy faces twice. "I-N-G!"

Amanda smacks Sonta on the head. "Shut up!"

Patrick angrily glares at Sonta. "Who's the pipsqueak who clearly has a death wish?"

"He's my little brother." Amanda says. "A little brother who doesn't even know how to mind his own business!"

"Oh, come on. I know this is the guy you've been going on and on about." Sonta says.

"Yeah, about how much he irritates me!" Amanda says.

"Yeah, right. You never talk about a guy this much unless you looooooove!" Sonta says.

"I don't love him, you little squirt!" Amanda says. "All he does is make me sick!"

"Please don't use the word sick!" Isabela yells, followed by the sound of vomiting.

Patrick, confused, turns to where Isabela is. She's sitting on one of the beds, vomiting into a bucket she has on her hands. Once she's done, Isabela lifts her head from the bucket, revealing a sickly green face.

"Is...she okay?" Patrick asks.

"She's fine. Isabela just gets easily seasick." Kayla says.

"I do not get sea..." Isabela's sentence is interrupted with a dry heave. "...Sick." Then resumes vomiting into the bucket.

"Sonta, why don't you give Isabela a back rub? I'm sure it'll help her feel better." Paige says.

"Anything for you, my lady." Sonta says with enthusiasm.

Patrick watches Sonta as the kid moves until he's behind Isabela and starts rubbing her back like Paige says. "Let me guess, the kid's got a crush on you?" He asks Paige.

"Yeah." Paige says with a chuckle. "It's weird since he's Amanda's little brother, but I think it's cute." Patrick only rolls his eyes at that comment. "Anyway, back to the topic. What are you doing here, Patrick?"

"And as a stowaway no less." Amanda says with disappointment.

Patrick looks to see Paige, Amanda, and Kayla's eyes are all on him. He knows they're not gonna let him go on this one and decided to say it. "I'm chasing after somebody, and I heard they snuck onto this ship."

"Are they bad guys?" Kayla asks.

"Yep." Patrick says.

"And just how is it are you going to capture this 'bad guy' of yours?" Amanda asks.

"That..." Patrick pauses for a moment. "I'm not sure. But I'm figuring out a plan. I just need a place to lay low."

"You can stay here with us." Paige says.

"Absolutely not!" Amanda says. "I'm calling security to have this stowaway removed."

"Amanda, we know how you feel about Patrick, but he's not really a bad person once you get to know him." Paige says.

"Please, it's all just act just to get close to us." Amanda says. "I'm not falling for such a foolish trick." Amanda is about to march out until Sonta stands in his way. "Out of the way, Sonta."

"No. I'm not going to let you disrespect my queen's demand." Sonta says.

Amanda rolls her eyes. "Sonta. Get over it! She's 20, and you're 12." Amanda starts banging on his head, trying to knock some sense into him. "It's! Not! Going! To! Happen!"

Patrick just watches the two and then whispers to Paige and Kayla. "Are they always like this?"

"Most of the time. It's just their way of showing their sibling love with each other." Kayla says.

"If you rat him out, I'll post The Picture on your blog!" Sonta says.

"I don't know what you're talking about," Amanda says. Sonta takes out his Scroll and shows a picture to Amanda, who lets out a horrific gasp. There's a picture of a young Teen Amanda in an ugly sweater, braces, glasses, and a few zits. "My Awkward phase? How did you get that? I burned all the photos!"

"I saved a copy during your first tryout," Sonta says. "I wonder what your dear fans would think when they see this unattractive photo of you." Sonta lets out a playful gasp. "Or worse. What will happen to your career as a model?"

Amanda quivers in rage as she growls. In defeat, she turns back and stomps towards Patrick. "I'm so very glad you are staying with us." She says grinning from her teeth. Then stomps away.

"Huh...I'm starting to like this kid." Patrick says.

For most of the day, Patrick just sit quietly while the idol girls are chatting among themselves, or in Isabela's case puking her guts out. Patrick actually questions why she's even on a cruise with them if they know she gets seasick. Would have made more sense to bring Selena with them if it's just gonna be four of SPiKA's members. Amanda can't stop throwing dagger glares at Patrick. It doesn't really bother him much, though Paige and Kayla can't help but feel uncomfortable.

Around dinner time, Paige gives Patrick a spare SPiKA pass, just to prevent him from running into any more Security Trouble. He decides to tag along with the idol group, mostly to make sure the Agency Agents don't get any ideas of targeting these girls. However, he does keep his face down to make sure he's not recognized by them.

Soon enough, nighttime falls. The girls and Sonta went to sleep in their rooms. Isabela had a hard time falling asleep due to the seasickness.

As Patrick sleeps, he awakes to the vibrating sounds of his Scroll. He opens it to see it's almost midnight. Seeing the idols are deep asleep, Amanda included, Patrick quickly but quietly makes his leave. The Cruise is pitch black in the night, Patrick even uses his Night Vision to see properly.

Patrick makes his way to the second floor. There are a few security droids guarding these halls, so Patrick tries to avoid being spotted by them. Finally, he reaches his destination. Suite 221. Patrick uses his X-ray Vision. He sees a large empty room with a sea-faunus woman inside. His expression hardens seeing her. "Robin." He says in a growling whisper.

Patrick wonders how he is going to be able to sneak inside undetected. If only he could use his Shadow Magic, he could sink into the shadows to sneak in. He has one idea, but it might be risky.

Patrick knocks on the door. After a minute, Robin answers. She only opens the door slightly and sticks her head out. She is surprised to see there's no one there. "Hello?"

Patrick stands on the ceiling with the aid of his Gravity Dust Leg Bracers. "Hey, lady, I'm over here." Patrick says, in a high voice in an attempt to imitate a child.

Robin looks down the hallway to the left. But still sees no one. "Where?"

Patrick stands behind Robin. "Now I'm over here."

Robin turns, and then Patrick moves behind her. He takes out a pebble from his pocket. He throws it at the back of her neck. This provokes Robin. She runs out of the room, looking in the direction the pebble came from. "All right, kid, you're toast!" She rushes down that hall.

Patrick quickly, but quietly, moves into the room. A minute later, Robin returns to her suite. "Rotten kids! If only they knew who they're dealing with." Patrick hides out under the bed.

Midnight comes, and one by one, members of the Abduction Agency come in. About a dozen of them total, and Patrick has taken notice that nearly half of them are Security.

"Everyone here? Good." Robin says. "Our target tonight is Weiss Schnee. And she is here on this cruise, far off from civilization and authorities."

"But there are still security on this cruise." One of the security imposters says.

"They won't be a problem, especially the droids." Robin says.

"So, what's the plan, mistress?" The second man asks.

"Schnee is participating as an opening act for SPiKA. Once she is done, Nathanial will cut the power. In the darkness, while everyone is blind and confused, we snag the little slut. Then our getaway airship will arrive no minute later. Lord Rufus will be waiting for us at the rendezvous point." Robin takes out her Scroll. "I have assigned roles for each of you." Once she's done, everyone's scrolls ring and each of them opens and takes a look. "If everything goes well, we'll be able to pull it off. Meeting adjourned."

All of the agents make their leave. Robin's the only one who stays behind, which puts Patrick in a situation. He needs to escape before he is caught, but how can he with Robin still in the room? He just lays low, and hopes that he will find an opening.
