the earth of universe 6 came into view. Lazuli looked at it from her seat in the space ship and frowned, 'so, this is where we're meant to get our allies?' Jerren, her colleague and partner, nodded, 'that's right. with every battle across the twelve universes over the last year, we've lost plenty of fighters. so now, we need to recruit as many capable fighters as possible.' Lazuli looked at the planet as Jerren started descending, heading to a designated spot to land. she shook her head, 'I'm still not convinced this is a good idea, Jerren.' he frowned, 'mind sharing what's on your mind. maybe I can convince you otherwise.' she side eyed him, 'so, this is planet earth, similar to planet earth from our universe seven?' he nodded, 'yes.' she nodded, her scowl remaining, 'from what I remember of my home, most of the humans were pathetically weak. sorry for being harsh, but it's the truth. only a handful of people knew how to increase their power to the point where they could fight. so, how similar to our universe's earth is this universe's earth?' Jerren smiled, 'it's plenty different Lazuli. on this earth, eighty percent of the population has a power, called a quirk. these quirks can be something as simple as producing bubbles to clean with, to shooting lasers from one's eyes. so, there's plenty of people with power here. diverse variety and ability, as plenty wish to use their power for good, using their quirks to join their country's respective police force, or even join Hero schools, so they can actively use their quirks to fight crime. you should know this, it was in the report.' Lazuli nodded, 'yes, but just reading something doesn't tell me whether the humans here are much stronger than the humans of my earth. but I was wondering; is there anyone on this planet capable of destroying it? seeing as our opponent has several planet busters.' Jerren frowned, 'well, we know at least of All-Might, this world's most famous and respected Hero, also the strongest. from the reports on him, he should be capable of levelling mountain ranges with just one punch. imagine a barrage of those flying at you.' Lazuli nodded, 'yeah. next question. do the people of this earth know of the universe, the people living in it and the war going on?' Jerren shook his head, 'no they do not. why?' she sighed, 'so, not a single planet buster. not much better than mountain busters. they do not know of aliens. they do not know of the war, yet we are send to recruit people from this planet! to uproot their relatively peaceful lives and involve them in a war they would have nothing to do with otherwise. like I said, I am not convinced this is a good idea Jerren!' he frowned, 'look, I do not wish any harm upon the weak either. but the big wigs running the HQ are getting desperate. having lost several of our heavy hitters in the war, while our strongest are currently holding the line, we are send to recruit those with talent. maybe they'll need some training up, but think about it. something as simple as making bubbles for cleaning, cranked up to our level, would blanket a whole battlefield, make the ground slippery and disorient the enemy. plus, orders are orders. the two of us are simply to weak for the front line. so, we're on gathering back-up duty.' Lazuli nodded, 'well, that's all I wanted to say. remembering the kind of monster I was, treating human lives as playthings,... killing them,... for,... amusement. horrible. these humans are not much stronger. maybe more capable, but not much. it would be like taking toothpicks and throwing them at a mountain. it doesn't sit well with me.' Jerren nodded, 'noted. but, nothing we can do about the orders we've been given.' he landed his ship in a forest, plenty of distance away from civilisation, before dropping his cloaking and activating a new feature, transformation. the gears in the machine shifted, moved and whirred around, finding a new place and settled down. the space ship now looked like a bus with six wheels, at least from the outside. Jerren nodded, opened the car door and stepped out and Lazuli did the same on her side. Jerren started stretching his muscles, 'man, I've been sitting way too long.' Lazuli nodded, 'also stretching, 'especially with your shaky flying, I'm surprised I'm not even more sore than I am right now.' Jerren looked over as she bend over, touching her toes, before standing back up, leaning and arching her back. he smiled, 'so, just to be sure, you're an android right. can androids even get sore muscles?' she gave him an icy stare, 'of course I can. I was converted from a human into an android. yes, I have mechanic parts, but that doesn't mean I don't have human pieces. I lack most of my organs, those have been turned into energy engines.' Jerren nodded, 'yet still, you can enjoy a good meal.' she nodded, 'life without good food is barely worth living. besides, what I eat is converted into energy. not enough to make much of a difference, but still.' the two finished stretching and Jerren pulled a capsule from a pocket in his uniform, pressed it and threw it in front of him and Lazuli. with the usual smokey boom, the portable Capsule corp house appeared. Jerren and Lazuli walked inside and Jerren went to check that everything was still in the right place, while Lazuli disappeared into her room, where she locked the door. Jerren found everything in order, still in their same place and found nothing had shifted. the technology still worked as well as it should. no maintenance on that part required. Jerren walked into the lab section of the house with the Galactic Patrol symbol above it. these capsule's had been very useful to the patrol. Lazuli joined him again. she had peeled off her skin tight uniform and had put on her regular clothes. a thin white sweater with a black tank-top over that, with a sleeveless blue jacket over that. a brown belt with a golden buckle, a blue skirts and dark blue tights and brown boots. when she saw him looking, she shrugged, 'I feel more comfortable in normal clothes than in our uniform. sure it allows for movement, but it remains skin tight. I like these clothes, since they allow for more freedom.' Jerren nodded, 'that's fine. I didn't say you couldn't change. we kinda need to, since this mission requires us to go undercover to UA.' Lazuli nodded, 'oh yes. one of the two best known hero schools in the land of Japan. so, are we going there as teachers?' Jerren started up a computer, 'nope. we'll be going as students.' Lazuli frowned, 'really? as students?' he nodded, 'pretty much. we're about the right size and we don't look much older than them. you especially.' she nodded, 'right. so, a thirty year old me and a 28 year old you are gonna pretend to be fifteen.' Jerren sighed, 'I am not the one who came up with this mission idea, okay. snapping at me won't help in any way.' Lazuli sighed, 'whatever you say. so, any extra info you can find on UA for us?' Jerren typed in some info for the search and some results came up. Jerren nodded, 'big school, plenty of people. so long as we hold back enough to not stand out too much, functioning at a high school level, we should be just fine.' Lazuli's face suddenly dropped and was filled with what looked like worry. Jerren turned to her, 'what is it now?' she pointed at the screen, 'this article talks about the school's entrance exam. which was nearly a month ago!' Jerren snapped back at the screen and saw she was right. not only that; the school would begin its first semester in three days! now his face got filled with worry as well, pulling a communicator from his uniform, connected it to the lab's computer and connected to the HQ, where Jacco appeared on the screen, 'oh, hey you two. reporting in that you've arrived I see.' Jerren frowned, 'a little more than that Jacco. we just looked up extra info on UA and not only have we missed the entrance exam by about a month, but the school year will start in three days! that's a problem for our mission!' Jacco disappeared of the screen for a moment and they heard him hit the ground. apparently he had fallen off of his chair. he crawled back up again, 'sorry about the inconvenience you two. I'll inform our superiors about this and ask what's to be done. I'll call you when I have information.' the screen turned off and Jerren sighed, 'and now it's in Jacco's hands.' Lazuli frowned, 'well, luckily in the hands of our higher ups. if it was all up to him, I'm pretty sure we wouldn't be able tog get into that high school before next year. and who knows how the war will have gone by that point.' the two went to get further equipment from Jerren's ship, now Jerren's van. and installed what they needed. Jerren also went to peel his uniform off in his room and put on black pants, a black shirt and shoes. it did indeed feel better to be out of those suits. it felt like his skin could breath. with an hour of installing things done, and still no word from Jacco, Jerren went to do some research on all this world had to offer, both in terms of heroes and villains. All-Might was still the top dog of the heroes. though from all he could find, over the past five years he had been appearing less and less. though he had never failed to safe someone. and then, Jacco called them. Lazuli answered and Jacco's face appeared on the screen, 'okay. we managed to get you in. we called UA's principle Nezu and told him that you two would be exchange students from America's best hero school. coming to learn from All-Might's example. we had to explain the last minute notice as some virus villain getting in the way of sending emails and texts. and only now that he's been caught are we able to reach him. I'm also sending you two your American ID cards.' their printer jumped to life and started producing two cards, showing their faces and Lazuli picked up hers,, seeing her name listed as Lazuli Juhachi, seeing a false date of birth, which would make her about fifteen at the moment. it also listed her quirk as; Android, explaining her physical strength and durability. Jerren's age was similar to hers and his quirk was listed as; ki control. allowing him to use his internal energy and bring it out, for purposes of flying, increasing his strength and and shooting out blasts. and he saw his full name; Jerren Briefs, as he bore his mother's family name, not his father's. Jacco saw the two of them look at their new IDs, 'those quirks and their info is important. try not to do anything that falls outside of those quirk factors. Lazuli, that means, no energy blasts for you.' she nodded, 'fine. I can most likely handle anything here with my bare hands.' Jacco picked up a paper, 'oh yes, we'll also be sending you uniforms, as well as an allowance, so you can buy food. it will arrive monthly, so try not to spend it all one needless, shopping.' both men looked at Lazuli, who crossed her arms and looked away, 'that was only one time.' Jerren nodded, 'sure, one time. one time every mission.' she snapped back, 'at least I look good, unlike you and your hairdue.' Jacco nodded, leaving his colleagues to their squabble and signed off.
