What if things had been a little different in March of 1866 when Scarlett headed home from the mill?

Post Rhett's speech at the end of the book when he leaves her. Scarlett gets woke. Will be rather off-canon because let's face it, things have to change if they're gonna get better. OC, OOC, AU kinda.

A decade has passed, and Rhett returns home for the first time to face his family, and Ella is forced to face the man who was the only father she ever knew until he abandoned her.

Two years have passed since Rhett stopped giving a damn. The pair is divorced, and Rhett is remarried with a child on the way. There's another child living across the pond- in Ireland- with a mother who is determined to keep a secret about a chance encounter. When tragedy strikes, a surprising turn of events just might bring them back together.

The title says it all. If only Rhett or Scarlett had made different choices, but their pride wouldn't let them. The first chapter is a short story. The next three chapters are three different endings.

It has been ten years after the night Melanie died. Rhett and Scarlett have not spoken to each other in all that time. They both regret their actions that ruined their marriage but neither has reached out to the other one because they both think the other one has moved on. Rhett and Scarlett are returned in time but neither one knows that the other one has been returned in time.

Will brings Scarlett the news that the taxes have been raised on Tara. Scarlett is at her wits ends when someone unexpected arrives at her door.

Scarlett wakes up expecting another dreary day under siege in Atlanta but instead finds herself in Charleston in the year 1847, where an ill-famed Captain Butler was not yet so ill-famed, nor a Captain. As she begins to question their seemingly intertwined fates, she realizes she feels something she once dared never to say.
