After much thought, I've decided to put all of my "Ruby Dillon" stories here. Chapters 1-6 are from "Matt and Kitty: A Timeless Love Story." Any other story that relates to Matt and Kitty's life with Ruby will be here. (Chapter 1 (Life) has an extended ending from what was written in "Matt and Kitty: A Timeless Love Story.")

There's only so many times that one can be taken for granted. This fanfic begins with an ATC of S19E24 "The Disciple" and chronicals my explanation of why Kitty left. Will they ever see each other again? Inspired by the song "If I Would've Known" by Kyle Hume.

A story that would have happened at the end of season 20, if Kitty had been there the whole time. People are motivated by lots of things. It's what wins out that counts.

A small story inspired by "Zavala" Season 14, Episode 3. I have taken the liberty to alter events and dialogue a bit.

Sometimes it only takes a chance encounter to completely change the course of your life.

If you need a dose of Matt and Kitty (and who doesn't), I'll be posting short stories here. The stories will be independent of one another. Ideas for the stories may come from scenes from the show, a line spoken by one or both of them, or whatever pops in my head. I don't own the Gunsmoke characters. I hope you enjoy reading these Matt and Kitty stories.

I took scenes from "The Disciple", ideas from the Gunsmoke movies; added some Gunsmoke characters, a few of my own characters, and ideas. I shook it all up, and came up with my reason for Kitty leaving Dodge.

Sometimes a sociable is not just a party. This is a Matt & Kitty story. Reference is made to the season 8 episode, The Way It Is, in which Matt backs out of taking Kitty to a sociable, because of his job. (I'm still bad at this summary thing).

Will Matt solve the clues in time to find Kitty? This story takes place sometime between seasons 1 and 2.

Something is going on with Matt that Kitty doesn't like. A Matt & Kitty story in 4 chapters. Season 20 but Kitty is still there. (I'm still not great at this summary thing).

Love can be an infuriating mystery to those without it, and sometimes can drive a man to extreme measures.
