When Erik set out on his adventures, he hadn't expected the two that would change his life forever. He found a girl in a snowfield, and the luminary in the dark dungeon below Heliodor. Meeting these two people would set in motion a series of events that would alter his journey from one of adventures and sight-seeing, to saving the world from the Dark One.

This is my fan-done version of a novelization of the game Dragon Quest XI! I'll do my best to stick to canon material, but the Hero has to talk to keep the story moving, so his character will be partially of my own creation. We never got the DQ Novels of the Erdrick trilogy in the West, so I'm making the most recent installment into a fan novel! I hope everyone enjoys! Feedback
