Dealing with trauma: a space opera. Like others in Anne McCaffrey's Brainship series, it introduces a brand new OC with their own adventure. Fixation was often warned against in the canon books, but brain/brawn relationships always seemed to work out with no dramas. This story is an example of a time where it went wrong.

Takes place during the time of the 1992 Brainship story "The Ship Who Searched" by Anne McCaffrey & Mercedes Lackey. A brainship suffers a malady that threatens her and her brawn's livelyhood. I don't own the setting or characters from the original Brainship series, but sometimes it IS hard to get out of bed, isn't it? Two chapters.
