Eurydice is used to never having enough, or just enough to get by, and while the summer harvest brings plenty, winter brings famine. When she sees Orpheus struggling too, Eurydice considers who she was once and who she is now as she makes a fateful choice.

No mortal can be sentenced to eternity in the underworld if immortal blood runs in their veins. And behind closed doors, Hades transferred some immortal blood to Eurydice. Most men wouldn't want to raise a babe that wasn't his, but that's not Orpheus' way.

Ten years after Lindsey's journey to Hadestown, her brother Chibueze joined her. When he saw how Hades' ways changed his sister, he wouldn't take it lying down. Based on Chibueze Ihuoma's headcanons about his and Lindsey Hailes' workers being siblings.

An untold time after Orpheus's failure, Persephone is a permanent resident of the Underworld, and Hades works endlessly to make her love Hadestown and all he's done in her name. Based on cut lyrics from a 2014 Dartmouth workshop.

Orpheus grew up with a love of nature and music and a distrust of the industries of Hadestown, but he didn't know the complexities of Persephone's love for Hades until he felt love at first sight himself-and the desire to share your home with someone you loved. Based on the Edmonton version of Hadestown.

The Fates have served Hades faithfully, even as he turned them against one another and rotated them out in favor of new hires. When Eurydice is selected as a new Fate, the Fates realize their bonds run deeper than expected, and they'll do anything to keep their sisterly bond intact. Based on the Vermont version of Hadestown.

Jax's cousin John left for Hadestown with a note goodbye and a gently-used lyre left behind. Needing answers, a sense of closure, and hope for the future, Jax turns to Hermes and is given even more than he asked for. Based on John Krause headcanoning his chorus member as Orpheus's friend Jax and seeing him and Worker #3 as separate people.

Orpheus honed his musical talents from an early age, and soon found a dear friend in Chibueze, who learned from him and gave advice when he could. With winter coming on and Hermes having a lot of work ahead, Orpheus feels it's time for Chibueze's turn in the spotlight. Based on the National Tour of Hadestown.

Just as there will always be a Persephone, so too will there be a Clotho, Lachesis, and Atropos to determine her fate. This time, however, one will become the other. Based on Jewelle Blackman's performances as both Atropos and Persephone.

Spring has come again as the story resets once more, but the weight of tragedy runs deep. When Eurydice enters the bar with a red carnation in hand and a candle in need of a match, she finds Hermes needs hope for the future as much as she does.

Orpheus spends his days singing and working on a project that seems eternally stuck, but when the windswept girl enters the train station, she makes him feel alive in ways he never has before. Based on the London version of Hadestown.

Orpheus and Eurydice are alike in many ways and different in many others, but their deepest connection may be the shared fear of being alone. With a song for a better world in his heart and the terrible state of Hadestown in his mind, Orpheus can only hope what he has is enough to make her stay. Based on the NYTW version of Hadestown.

Persephone built her speakeasy to give the shades of Hadestown some respite from unending work, but that wasn't the only reason. The other reason, she reflects, is guilt in Hadestown's creation.

For all Hermes could curse the Fates for, and did, he was forever grateful that they granted Orpheus a lifelong friend in Jax. While the details of how they met differed throughout the cycles, the friendship was worth the wait.
