This is the story of how Nathan rescued Little Jack and his visit to Fort Clay. He had to move on from Elizabeth and other new characters came into his life. They all avert catastrophe and they are forced to test how they feel now that we venture into season 9 and beyond. It's not going to be easy. I, along with the program's aim, try to arrive at a positive outcome for all of us.

Jack Thornton moves to Hamilton just before he begins his senior year in high school in this modern day story. His father, Tom, begins work for a shipping tycoon, William Thatcher. Jack meets Elizabeth before school starts. Their first meeting didn't go well. Will this drive them apart or draw them together?

Elizabeth follows Charles back to Hamilton after he proposes to her in the schoolhouse. Charles and Jack think she has accepted Charles' proposal of marriage. Is this all a misunderstanding? Can Jack and Elizabeth find their way back to each other after her indecisiveness? This story is set in the time frame of the show. However, the storyline differs from it.

This is one take on how season 8 SHOULD have gone. Elizabeth's eyes are opened by an incident at the saloon and a chance encounter with Constable Grant. Word of caution- I despise Lucas, so his character developement will be far from flattering.

Upon a mutual breakup at the train station Lucas writes letters to both Elizabeth and Nathan After realizing that his calling was to serve the people in the political arena he knows that Elizabeth requires her to stay where she is. He had expected to be more upset but somehow he felt a peace about it and was excited about what else the future might hold for him.

This is a quick little short story that I wrote based on some of the promos for season 11 episode 4. This is what I hope would happen, even though I know that the show won't do this.

This is an AU story & my take on what should have happened with Elizabeth & Jack. Many of the original events of the series will be included, as well as some that I create. Some of the events will be omitted and others will be changed to fit my story. The timeline of the events have also changed to fit what I wanted to tell. This part 2 and picks up where part 1 left off.
