A/N: Greetings! If you start reading this story and you're wanting know more about my OC, please check out my other story which is Complete. It is called Starting Over and is a story of Arizona with the same OC in a different role. For physical description I would have you refer to Jane Doe in the tv show The Blindspot, as she was the inspiration for the OC in the other story. I'm basically just taking that same character and instead of her being an FBI agent in the other story, she's a baseball player in this one :) As always, reviews help inspire me to keep writing, so please feel free to leave one or drop me a PM! Thank you!

Arizona walked quickly onto the Pediatric floor of Seattle Grace Mercy West Hospital and blew past her friend April Kepner without saying so much as a "hi".

"Well good morning to you too!" Kepner said with attitude.

Arizona sighed, "I'm sorry, I just have a lot going on today. Some of the Mariners will be here for a photo op with the kids and what not and I'm sorry I just don't have time for this stuff today."

"Oh, yeah that is today isn't it! You know they have the first female player on their team this year! That is so cool, she's making history just by being on the team!"

"Really? I don't follow a whole lot of baseball."

"Uh yeah, it's a big deal. But it's not even a publicity thing with her being on the team, she's really good. She's a pitcher. I would imagine she'd be here for the event. I'm going to stick around, see if I can get an autograph."

"I had no idea you were so into sports, April."

"I'm from the Midwest! I played like every sport growing up, not a lot to do otherwise! Plus, like I said this is history in the making!"

"What's her name?"

April thought for a moment. "Um… Mill… Miller… that's right Lynzee Miller… cause she spells Lynzee in a way you don't normally see it spelled… well at least I've never seen it spelled that way. I wonder if that's what's on her birth certificate or she changed it." April was rambling.

Arizona laughed, "maybe you should ask her."

"Oh no, I couldn't possibly, I'll probably be too nervous to even ask her for an autograph."

Arizona laughed at her friend, "well I'll make sure to get one for you if you're too star struck to talk, okay?"

"You're a good friend, Arizona!"

Just then the Mariners showed up. Flanked by photographers and other public relation looking folks. Towards the back of group of mostly men, Arizona could see a female with short dark hair hidden under a black Mariners ball-cap. She wore a black Mariners jersey which hung loosely unbuttoned, a white t-shirt underneath with jeans, and teal converse. She locked eyes with Arizona for a moment and Arizona could see they a dazzling bright blue. She was flanked by a blonde woman who was talking to her, Arizona quickly wondered if that was a girlfriend or work associate.

"Dr. Robbins?" Said a nurse at the nurses station.

Arizona broke her glance, "yes?"

"They're asking for you down in the pit."

Arizona sighed, "Of course they are! I'll be back, April. Hold down the fort for me okay?" Arizona took off in the other direction.

Later, Arizona was able to come back to the pediatric floor and found April watching some of the players in a room.

"Well, did you talk to her yet?"

"I mean, I kind of said hi when she walked in there."

"Oh my goodness you big baby."

Arizona walked into the room and April trailed behind her standing in the doorway awkwardly.

"Hi, I'm Dr. Robbins!" Arizona extended her hand.

Lynzee and another player rose to their feet and shook her hand.

"Hi, I'm Josh Barnett, catcher, and this is…"

Arizona cut him off, "Lynzee Miller, right? Pitcher?"

Lynzee smiled and shook Arizona's hand, "That's right, well trying to be anyway I guess."

Josh interjected, "You should come out sometime, I could get you tickets."

Arizona could tell he was trying to impress her, little did he know he was not her type at all. She let him know by not breaking her eye contact with Lynzee and saying, "Yeah, that would be great to see the first female baseball player in action."

"Uh, yeah… of course," Josh said slightly dejected.

The blonde woman who had been with Lynzee before spoke up, "This would be a great time for a photo for the website, or the paper, news, maybe all three… Doctor, if we could just have you over here next to Lynzee and then Josh you can be on the other side of the bed we can all pose next to Cynthia here and that would be great!"

Everyone moved into position, Arizona had moved in close, next to the female athlete and they posed for the pictures. Arizona couldn't help how nice her cologne smelled.

"You catch any games, doc?" Lynzee asked as she signed a baseball, she handed it to Arizona. "For your friend," and motioned to Kepner who was lurking out by the nurses station trying not to look obvious that she had been watching. "Unless you want one for yourself."

"I mean, yeah sure, I'll take an autograph, I know you're here for the kids… but yeah… I mean you are making history and all."

"Well, the world needs more doctors than baseball players, but I wasn't good at math so… here I am."

Arizona flashed a smile and Lynzee smiled back.

The blonde woman was lurking and getting uncomfortable with the two locking eyes onto one another. "Okay well Lynzee we should get going we have some other rooms we should go visit and you have that other endorsement photo session this afternoon."

"It was really nice to meet you Dr. Robbins." Lynzee said extending her hand again "It's really great what you can do here for these kids."

Arizona held her hand and the two rested there for a moment as they locked eyes again, "Arizona. You can call me Arizona. Thank you so much for coming by, it's really great for the kids' spirits."

The blonde was grabbing Lynzee by the arms now and leading her away from Arizona and they exited the room. Kepner charged inside. "What just happened, you two couldn't take your eyes off of each other! Did you get me an autograph at least?!" Arizona handed April the signed baseball as she watched Lynzee head into another room.

"I've got to start watching baseball."
