Chapter 1 Encounter in the Halls
Saki's POV
A few years ago, I got really sick, and ended up in the hospital. I spent pretty much my entire middle school life suck inside there. I missed out on so much of my youth.
But now…I'm out of the hospital, and I'm going to make the most of my high school life!

During lunch break, I was walking through the halls of Miyamasuzaka Girls' Academy with Ichika, and I let out a sad sigh.
"I guess Shiho-Chan and Honami-Chan aren't going to join our band after all", I said.
"Yeah", Ichika agreed sadly. "So…does that mean that we should just forget about doing the whole band thing entirely?"
After being asked this, I thought about it for a moment…before shaking my head.
"No way", I replied. "We should enjoy our high school years to the fullest, and being in a band together would be an amazing way to do that!"
"I get what you're saying", Ichika said. "But…can we really have a band with just the two of us?"
"You…have a point", I agreed. "But…who else can we ask to join our band?"
After asking this, I began thinking, and I was so lost in thought…I ended up walking right into someone else and crashing onto the floor!
"Saki", I heard Ichika exclaim in concern.
"Are you okay", I heard the person I had bumped into ask.
"I'm fine", I reassured before looking up. "I am so sorr…"
Before I finished my sentence…I stopped when I realised who I was talking to.
"Wait a minute", I started. "You're…Momoi Airi!"
"That's me", Airi said.
Then, she stood up and held out her hand to me. I grabbed onto it, and she pulled me onto my feet.
"Wow", I said in awe. "I can't believe that I just got to touch the hand of the Momoi Airi!"
"I guessing you're a fan", Airi asked.
"I am", I replied. "I used to watch you on variety shows when I was in the hospital!"
"In the hospital", Airi asked.
"Yeah", I replied. "That was a tough time for me, but…watching you always made me feel better!"
After I said this, Airi looked at me in shock.
Then…a smile came to her face.
"It makes me happy that the stuff I did made you feel better", she revealed. "Anyway, I have to get going. It was very nice to meet you."
"It was nice to meet you too, Airi-Senpai", I greeted.
Then, Airi left…and I had a huge smile on my face.
"I can't believe that I just met the Momoi Airi", I exclaimed happily. "And I even got to touch her hand! Am I dreaming? Quick, Ichi-Chan! Pinch me!"
With that, Ichika did as I asked her and pinched me on my arm.
"Owie", I said, before grinning from ear to ear. "It wasn't a dream! It was real! This is amazing!"
