Hello again, my lovely readers,
You've all been wonderfully supportive as I've worked on "The Energy of Sun Rays," which began as a quick story idea and has now morphed into something that's much longer and more complex than I'd thought it was. It has also, as those of you who've chatted with me on Facebook know, repeatedly suffered from some fairly serious real-life events. This means I haven't been able to keep up with the updates as often as I wanted — or as often as you deserve.
Finally, it has also suffered from the fact that, since I thought it was just going to be a one- or two-chapter story (really!) I had felt comfortable posting as I wrote. Unfortunately, as you're now well aware, it's a lot longer, and as I've worked through each chapter, it's become more and more apparent that it needs better structure and actual planning. After a lot of thought and consideration, I've decided to stop here…
…and start over, doing it right.
But this time, I'm going to wait and start posting until it's complete. When I do, I'm going to replace the current version that you're reading now, so that you don't have to update your bookmarks. That said, it's likely going to be a few months at the very least before I'm able to actually start posting. I'm going to estimate the fourth quarter of 2024 for that to begin happening, but know that I mean for it to be as soon as I can manage it — and that, despite all the real-life events, my writing pace has been averaging somewhat over 10,000 words per month this year.
Please know that I am very committed to this story — Lee and Amanda both insist it needs to be told — and have no intention of abandoning it.
