Hello, have yourself a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Another something unexpected, but it starts now. And lot brings questions on this, but I can tell you this is something I had to start at least before the year ends.

This is a crossover I have been wanting to get into since getting into Attack on Titan. And what time with its anime run finally concluding after 10 years. And of a lot of things, I am once again crossing with another beloved series. One story that some of you may know and are waiting for very well. Except, this one may be very different along with a whole new dynamic.

Note: Code Geass belongs to Sunrise. Attack on Titan belongs to Hajime Isayama.

Now let us begin…

"Armin once said that beyond the walls… lies the sea… was…"

Stars.

That was what she beheld when she looked straight above.

A sea of stars blanketed all the dark space above the land.

Yet, this was nothing like any night sky she had known.

Not with how the sky stretched like an ocean of water above. Not when a stream of luminescent green flow across the sky… to the great blight of light that branched out at the center.

All Paths… of the worlds beyond… leading back… to the great blight of light in the center.

All infinity leading to this place.

The place where space and time do not exist.

Beneath her, she felt the desert sand scratching against her skin. Sand that stretched on for infinite miles.

Yet, the sand… felt more like… clay.

!

She turned glancing at the two figures in front of her.

One was standing with his back towards the other…

The Beast…

… who was sitting on the sand… chains bounding his neck and hands.

The chained Beast couldn't stop trembling to what the other said.

"I'm sorry…" the young man said with a bit of shame and regret. "But I have to do this."

The Beast exclaimed.

"Please… if you don't do this… then the cycle will never end. Humanity will be forever plagued by the monsters we are born to become. This bloodshed will continue until the end of time itself!"

"I'm sorry… but…"

The girl realized something was off.

And with what she beheld next… the tide was no longer in favor of…

The chains bounding the beast cracked open before they dissolved and joined the ocean of sand they were standing on.

A second after… new chains were formed… holding the young man in front of him down.

The girl cried out.

"I thought you'd finally understand… but I can see… you are still… conflicted." The Beast stated as he approached the now bounded one.

The young man growled.

"But I know it's not your fault." The Beast placed his hands on the man's shoulders. "It is because… you have been scarred. You have been brainwashed… by that man. I understand because I went through that very same pain.

"But there was someone… who saved me from that misery. And I intend to do the same. I give you my word that I won't abandon you now. I promise."

"You're wasting your breath."

"I'm going to save you… and together… WE ARE GOING TO SAVE THE WORLD!"

"Wait!"

The girl cried out as she made to dash across the sand.

The Beast and the now-chained man connected their foreheads.

The girl reached out for the man, who glanced back at her…

In that second, the girl's eye turned on… the sight of bird flying forward… and all became white… before going black.

Before reality before them shattered like glass… and falling into shards.

"With this contract… the power of the king will be yours to command…"

"Careful, that last ball nearly knocked me over!"

"You must complete your mission. Protect…"

"You must promise me… that you'll come back home no matter what."

"I wish the world was a gentler place."

"I want you… to live a life you are proud of."

"I never got to tell you my real name! It is…!"

"Why is Marco… being…"

"Lies are very, very wicked! Wicked lies!"

"I don't care about any of that. I just want to see the people smiling."

"KENNY!"

"Your very existence is a mistake! You have to be wiped off from the face of the world! I'll take care of…"

"Your hearts and souls to the cause!"

"Thank you… for wrapping this scarf around me!"

"My soldiers scream! My soldiers, fight!"

"The only ones who should kill… are those prepared to be killed!"

"My name is…"

"…you must…"

"A convergence between with the Ragnorok Connection? So, after 2,000 years… the prophecy is finally upon us!"

"…on the other side of the sea!"

The Other Side of the Sea

"Are we getting confirmation already?"

Things before were getting into focus.

"The drone has caught hold of them. They have arrived at the point."

She pinched the bridge of her nose, before she lifted her eyelids.

"Contact made!"

Leila opened her eyes fully as she took in the situation she was in after the strange headache she had.

Narva Country

Estonia, Russian Border, Euro Britannia

Late September, 2017 a.t.b.

"Of all the places… it just had to be in a swamp."

Sir Dillion Auguste of the Holy Order of Raphael sighed with annoyance as he pushed his Gloucester forward through another puddle of swamp. He didn't like to think how much stress he was putting on his landspinners in rolling through all the water sewage and mud that went on for miles in this part of the Narva region.

The Order of Raphael had transversed through these lands for perhaps days now. Securing the perimeter in order to cut off the retreating enemy army going from hours to days on end.

"Sir Auguste to G1 Base," he turned on his com, "I haven't received word yet from James Unit. It may that at that the…"

He spoke too soon… when a mass explosion erupted deep in the forest in front of him.

"Not so much of a dozen of them. Knightmare Frames… different from the standard type."

"The way they crawl on fours so fast on the ground… like that of how Abnormals would…"

He watched as a white KMF crawled through the burning trees, narrowly avoiding the Sutherland's line of fire… before it came upon him and then…

"Looks like we lost signal on Frame Four!" Hilde said.

"Eleven remaining Alexanders," Chloe stated. "More enemy knightmares inbound."

"I can't prevent them from panicking," Dr. Sophie Randall grimly stated as clicked through the stats of the wavelengths onscreen. "Joe Wise, try using steroids on them."

"I'm injecting them, but…" the larger bespectacled man rolled the lollipop sucker in his mouth. "…it doesn't seem to have any effect!"

"The pilots are starting to burn out!" Ferilli Baltrow exclaimed.

"From the looks of it, they are almost starting to panic…" Sarah Danes expressed with grave concern.

"Then do something about it!"

Leila twitched an annoyed glance at the stiff-necked commander standing at the command monitor.

"They need to be focused on the objective! If they screw this up all because they keep start pissing like pansies then the operation is ruined!"

The commander's presence here was liken that to a last-minute substitute teacher taking control of the classroom's big project, yet acted like the worst kind and how direction was not up to the classmates or what the original teacher had wanted, but what satisfied the substitute's view.

At this rate, it was going towards a disaster.

For both 132nd Regiment and the Wyvern Squad.

He watched as another white KMF scurried on all fours through the burning wood. It wasn't long before a group of Sutherland's aimed and fired their rounds on it. Three bullets scored directed hits on the insect-like machine's limbs, because of that it started to falter. Despite this… it didn't seem to stop moving forward.

With the damage received, it only made the person inside desperate. It didn't look to matter when the Sutherlands pelted more of it with bullets before it lunged towards them…

"So eager to die… just take in a few kills? And for what?"

Andrea Farnese felt a sense of helplessness festering within him.

It didn't help even as he closed his eyes, fingers curling at his forehead, and sitting back on his throne, while being draped in his noble garb.

"Enemy forces breached F-Line!"

The foreign signal closed and replaced by the arrows indicating an explosion, while it had taken four friendly units around it.

"Enemy frame down!"

"What?! Four friendlies disappeared with it?!"

"It looks like the dam cowards are self-destructing!"

"Don't let them close in! Keep them at range!"

"Another self-destruct! Four more friendlies lost!"

"More incoming!"

The technicians at the monitor exclaimed in shock as they kept up with the ongoing battle. Of how his own soldiers were dying even now while he sat back in the safety of the G1 Base standing kilometers away from the ongoing battle.

He heard another foreign signal going off.

He finally opened his marble blue eyes to glare.

He glared not in frustration with the battle. Not either at the enemy. He directed it towards the sense of helplessness he was festering within.

The automatic turret of one Alexander was able to get a shot that pierced the backside of a moving Sutherland. With that shot, the Sutherland faltered, before the Alexander closed in to unleash more bullets upon the purple-white frame, before it collapsed.

"Just like the designs we studied. They may look big, but they are flawed. The cockpits of Knightmare Frames that are designed for ejection, and how they can easily be snuffed out. No different than aiming your blades at the nape."

"Frame Eight self-destruct!" Kate Novak exclaimed. "Two enemy knightmares destroyed!"

"Two?! That's even less than before!" Anou yelled as he slammed his fist near his keyboard. "Not enough! Make them advance! Grab at the enemy!"

"Commander Anou, that is enough!"

"Huh?!" Anou turned to Leila. "Now is not the time for this, Major! We are in the middle of…"

"Listen to me, Commander," Leila interjected. "If we are to give a better chance for the 132nd regiment to withdraw then we need to make a change of the plan."

"I know that, Major!" The stiff-necked commander barked back. "It's what we've nearly hanging our necks over for the past nights!"

"The current strategy is starting to grow stagnant," Leila said. "Disengage all self-destruct devices from the Alexanders."

"What?!" Anou shrieked. "Why would I order that?! They are the only things that are doing something to break through the enemy's line!"

"A foolish plan," Leila denounced. "A foolish resort that is only doing harm in depleting our troops on the battlefield. No thanks to your altercations."

"Altercations?" Anou almost balked. "This was to ensure backup to ensure advancement! It's because I knew we couldn't solely depend on your strategy. I'm not going to unplug our fail-safe… just because of your pity for the Eleven soldiers!"

Now the tension of the room started to spike. It did so, as Leila's glare hardened.

"These soldiers knew what they were signing up for when they joined the squadron!" Anou continued to justify. "They knew exactly what kind of dirty work this unit would get them into. And the chances there were of coming back alive! And the point is that no matter how ugly it is…" then came another slap on the flat side of the console. "The mission comes first! This is war, Major! Unless you are still too young to comprehend it!"

"True," Leila closed her eyes. "I am young. But even so… I am old enough to know things about war. And even in war… there are times when people go too far. Far too far. And what is the cost the Wyvern Squadron is paying with their own blood… is proving to be nothing more than deplorable."

"Deplorable?" Anou's eye twitched. "How… how is this… how is it… that the Elevens sacrificing themselves anything but deplorable?!"

Leila seethed, but kept her composure, even as the commander started to stress.

"A fact you should know…" the commander started to chuckle… "these… Elevens… they are descended… from a race… the very same race… who created their so-called 'honorable' traditions… known as seppuku… and kamikaze! How… is this any different? What makes this going too far to have a few dozen Elevens die for the sake of thousands?!"

Leila continued to glare.

"If I had… to choose between the priority… of 15,000 European soldiers… who are struggling even now to get out of no man's land… and a small cell of Elevens… then I will use whatever methods to ensure the many lives of former!" the commander clenched his fist as he concluded. "This is the price of war!"

"I see, Commander…" Leila closed her eyes. "Then tell me… if you intend to save the lives of the 15,000 men… how will they be saved if the lives of the only possible force all but die in a desperate gamble? What happens when all of the Wyvern Squadron is wiped out?"

"What?!"

"How far will these rampant suicide bombings go? And at least not given the chance to fight even further? What happens when it all fails? And all thanks to your incompetence?"

"Sir Auguste!"

"Thaede," Auguste answered the com to the strike leader.

"The enemy is depleting in number," the strike leader on the com continued. "Soon, they will all be exhausted, and their insane bombing run will get them nowhere. We request your assistance on the battlefield."

"Understood," Auguste adjusted his com before pulling on the controls of his Gloucester. "G1 Base, I'm going in."

With that, Auguste's Gloucester's landspinners turned on, and it zoomed forward across the marshes, with three Sutherlands behind him.

"If Operation Alpha fails the blame will fall on wZERO Unit since we were the ones who were supposed to secure an escape route for them. Do you believe General HQ in Paris, and the politicians there will accept the public backlash that is sure to come with such losses?"

Anou seethed as he both gritted his teeth and gripped his fingers into fists.

"These are statesman," Leila stated. "You know they will shift the blame onto someone else."

So, that's it. That was what she was implying. She was… referring to him.

"…" Anou could only stand with his cap crooked, seething even further. "I… I will not be the one… who takes the blame for this. This all has happened… I still…"

The ignorant brat was keeping her unbroken gaze on him. She was just waiting for him to break.

"I…" Anou struggled to hold eye contact with her.

Wait… what's…

His eye caught hold of her left eye. The light purple eye widened… until there was a shine of…

"All of this…"

SCHNCK!

"…IS YOUR FAULT!"

Anou pulled out the gun from his holster and aimed it at Leila's head.

"I know exactly what you are doing! But I refuse! I refuse to be a scapegoat for your failings! It was your plan all along!"

"Leila!" Anna Clement cried out, standing out from her seat.

The strawberry-flavored sucker fell out from Joe Wise's mouth when his jaw dropped at the scene. "Oh, no…" He turned away to hold his head in his hands. "This isn't happening now."

"I am not getting the blame… for this…" Anou began before his arm started to shake. "Because if you don't… then I…"

Everyone continued to stare at him.

"I…"

The man started to sweat.

Leila remained calm, unfazed by the shaking gun in front of her.

She smirked.

"You don't have it in you."

"What?!"

Leila immediately grabbed hold of his wrist and twisted the gun the other way…

BANG!

The alarm went off at the sound of the gun unloading a round.

Leila wasn't finished before she flipped Anou over and had him slammed face down on the ground, restraining his arm up while pushing her knee against his shoulder blades.

"No!" Anou screamed. "Let go of me! Please let me go!"

The door to the room opened, entering were several armed soldiers, before the major came in last. "What is going on here? Who discharged their weapon?"

"Well, if it isn't Major Hammel to the rescue. That was fast," Claus waved his hands in a welcoming gesture as Hammel walked up to him. Hammel turned to look at the scene of the disturbance.

"Allow me to correct you on a small detail," Leila told Anou as she held up his arm. "They are not Elevens. They are Japanese."

"Major Malcal," Leila looked up to Hammel. "That martial art. Is that Akido? It's most impressive."

"Impressive?!" Anou shrieked. "Dammit, Hammel! Get this b*tch off of me and arrest her! She's out of contro—"

Hammel didn't let him finish as he pulled out a syringe pistol and injected it at Anou's exposed neck. Less than a second later, the raving man fell unconscious.

"Would you mind explaining just what happened here, Major Malcal?" Hammel asked, but Leila paid no need as she rushed from Anou towards the monitor he had been in control of… till now.

"Requesting Order 305!" Leila typed the commands on the monitor, before turning to Claus. "Lieutenant Colonel!"

"Loud and clear," the man went along casually as he typed the commands on his monitor. "Deputy Commander Claus happily affirms the requested change in command. All yours. The change has been recorded, commander."

"Disengage all Alexander self-destruct devices!" Leila turned to her purple-haired girl. "Now Captain Clement!"

Anna gaped a bit, before turning resolute. "Right."

"Chloe, Hilda, message all frames!"

"She's really getting the ground running," Hilda complimented an impressed smirk.

Chole giggled. "Well, she deserves it."

The 132nd Regiment was dispatched by General HQ in the latest mission to retake the Russian City of Sankt Petersburg, which is the capital of Euro Britannia. However, the operation had failed, and the retreating regiment was in danger of being surrounded by Britannian forces. The E.U. has dispatched its new specialized force known as W-0 Unit to provide an escape route for the retreating 15,000 soldiers.

"Self-Destruct Disengaged."

Futoshi coughed just as the monitors around him cracked before darkening. It was apparent that his worst fear was coming to head. His Alexander would not be able to function again.

He coughed again, almost feeling bile rise. He could already feel the effects of the ejections to take hold. He needed to get out. He couldn't stay any longer inside this cockpit. He was already sweating in what already should be… his coffin.

He grabbed the straps at his chest. He pressed on it. It didn't budge. Agitated, he pushed on it again.

Just when he didn't have go on a ticking bomb… he may die… suffocated in this hunk of metal.

He couldn't think of anything else.

Either if he was to be stuck inside… and wait out the storm that happening outside his cockpit. Pray that no Sutherland would stop to notice him. And then…

Or if else…

"Gah…"

He couldn't handle it. He couldn't handle it that he wish he could wail. Wail for one of his comrades to hear him and get him out.

But it was no use.

Not when… every other man… every other man left was out there… ready to die…

Futoshi closed his eyes. Wondering if it may be for the last time…

CLCK!

He opened his eyes. He noticed the edge of his cockpit creaking open.

He gasped when he saw something of a blade cutting through the crack to where it would open automatically…

Oh, no. No. No.

Instead of just dusting him off the face of the earth… the enemy were ready to come for each and every one of them. One by one.

The battle was over. A failure. It was over for him and every one of his comrades.

He had nothing to save himself with.

Only by some way the cockpit creaked open he looked upon the face of savior with widened eyes.

"That has got to be the last of them. Report back to G1 Base that the objective has been completed. The area has been successfully defended."

"Thank Elizabeth. Now we can get out here."

"When we get back, first rounds on me."

"Hold your horses, Geralt, were not of this yet," Sergei stated as he drove his Sutherland through the burning trees. "We still need to meet with the Order in order to take out the enemy army's… wait? What?"

He paused, when his sensor caught hold of a lone figure meters away from him.

"HALT!"

"Stay where you are! On the ground or you're mincemeat!"

The figure stopped in his tracks.

From inside the Britannian pilot used the monitor to make a close of the lone figure standing in front of him.

His camera zoomed in to give Sergei a look at what appeared to be a cloaked figure.

Who on earth was this? Was another trick of the enemy? What is the point of having someone out here in this chaos… without a Knightmare Frame?

He gasped when he noticed something happenign

The monitors showed the figure uncloak his head.

The face of the man glanced in his direction.

He paused… as the monitor zoomed to take at the face…

The face of… a young man?

He then realized too late when suddenly… a sparkle of yellow electricity swarmed around the young man… and then…

"Wha… What the…?!"

A flash of blinding light erupted… it was the last thing he saw before he felt everything evaporate into ash.

All of a sudden… the yellow struck of lighting erupted in the middle of the burning forest, the Sutherlands still out in the watery swamps could see it. They paused in shock at what had just happened.

St. Raphael G1 Base

"What is happening?!"

"Another self-destruct?!"

"A distortion?!"

The technicians exclaimed as the G1 Base's radar monitor started to distort erratically by the sudden shock of the force happening in the middle of the forest. Besides the screen… everyone could already see with widen eyes… at the sudden lightning bolt happening miles from their position.

"Good gracious, what is happening out there?!"

"Was that a thunderbolt? As in lightning?! That's impossible!"

"Where did it come from?!"

"There hasn't been any sign of a storm anywhere!"

"Is this a new sort of weapon devised by the enemy?!"

"I don't like the look of this. It looks far worse than the others."

"What is happening…?" stood up from his throne, both eyes narrowed. "A new variable the enemy has decided to unleash?"

Castle Weisswolf

Germany, Europia United (E.U.)

"What the heck's going on?!" Joe balked as the unexpected tremor popped big on his screen.

"It's distorting our communications!"

"A lightning storm?"

"It can't be?!"

"What about the status on the remaining W-ZERO units?!" Leila demanded.

"We're not sure, Leila! The communication is…"

"Of all the times… this had to happen…" Claus sighed.

"Wait just a moment..." Joe Wise said, typing on his keyboard for a few moments. "Oh, good grief! Don't tell me the drone was affected!"

Narva Country

Estonia, Russian Border, Euro Britannia

Three Sutherlands strolled towards the source of the sudden lightning.

"Claude! I lost contact with Jonathan's Sutherland!"

"He was near where that lightning came from!" the Sutherland left to Claude's own knightmare had stated.

"You don't think…"

"I'm afraid so…" Claude concluded with bitterness. "Don't lose focus. Look out for more of the enemy."

"Smoke up ahead." The other knightmare noted on the fog-like smoke spewing from the direction of the lighting-like explosion.

"Rifles up," Claude ordered, shifting his Sutherland's automatic gun in front. "Make sure that…"

"Wait! I got something…"

"A reading?"

"No, a visual… it's coming from the fog."

All three Sutherlands glanced in the direction of the fog that was slowly dispersing.

Green lights glowed through the fog.

A pair of green lights… like eyes.

"It's another enemy knightmare…" Claude said. "Get ready to…"

He didn't get to finish… for when the green-eyed knightmare frame emerged from the smoke.

Only… it wasn't a knightmare frame…

Claude paused, and he felt his breath caught in his throat. He knew it wasn't just him, as he could hear the gasps coming from his comrades through the commlink. The man's blue eyes widening as saucers… as he beheld something…

…something… that caused his shock and confusion… to devolve into unearthly horror.

"RAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!"

St. Raphael G1 Base

"AHHHHHHHH!" the soldiers recoiled in fright. Everyone in the mobile base hearing the weight of the sudden inhuman screech.

"Good Elizabeth, what is that…?!"

Farnese cringed as he clutched his ears, pushing himself back against his chair.

Castle Weisswolf

Germany, Europia United (E.U.)

Everyone at the monitors recoiled by the sudden screech.

"What on the earth is going on?!" Hammel questioned.

"Is that some sort of interference?!" Hilda exclaimed.

"Don't know!" Ferilli exclaimed. "It… It… It sounds like…"

"Where is that frequency coming from?" Kate paled.

"I don't know?!" Joe tapped the hologram keyboard tirelessly. "But… somehow… it's so strong… it's reaching up to the drone's sensors!"

"Oh, dear… now I am feeling cold in my bones…" Claus' smile suddenly dropped, and the man had paused by the sudden sound.

Leila didn't understand, but she felt herself feeling still and almost cold when heard the horrid sound coming from the sensors. She felt something in her spirit… that was like a bomb dropping.

"What's that?!"

"Earthquake?! Here?!"

"What happened to Claude and his unit?!"

It felt like it… but it wasn't.

The soldiers had their answer… when the rumbling became louder.

The trees of the burning forest in front of them split open…

To reveal…

"RAAAAHHHHHH!"

They didn't have time… when a giant fist extended… and pounded clean through the chest of the Sutherland like wet bread… and obliterated the pilot inside.

As for the Sutherlands nearby who witnessed it…

That was when the panic started.

He plunged his fist through the metal chest of the next Sutherland, tearing effortlessly through it and all the way to the cockpit. The lower half of the knightmare frame stood still before it collapsed. He didn't waste time before he took the Sutherland to his left… with a right kick of his muscle leg.

The massive foot catapulted the knightmare into the air a bit, before it hit the ground again into a burning heap. As for the other…

It made the desperate move to use its landspinners to back far away. As much as it can through the burning trees. Even more when it aimed its rifle to unleash burning rounds.

He was barely fazed.

He kneeled a bit, getting into position… before he dashed towards the fleeing Sutherland.

His height made so much difference. A greater gap than what he had observed of the white crawlers that had struggled and died not too long ago. His height was three times greater than the average frame.

That what made his dashes covering greater distance… which allowed to hover over the Sutherland… lifting his feet… and stomped on it.

"Goddamn you to hell!"

Thaede pulled up his rifle and fired bullets that screeched through the burning air of the wood as the monstrosity jogged with its great muscled physique. The monstrosity was three times the size of the average Knightmare, and its height and momentum allowed it to take the bullets with little damage… and brought its right foot back… to kick the cornered Sutherland next to him away like a tin can.

The other two Sutherlands backed away and tried circling the giant.

The first fired a pair of slash harkens that pierced the giant's ribs.

The other did the same, with his slash harkens piercing the giant's right arm. The giant noticed this… and glanced at them.

"No, stop! Wait!"

Oh, no.

The monstrosity growled before it swung its right arm, bringing the other Sutherland with him. Thaede heard the pilot screamed as his knightmare was lifted in the air before it collided with a tree… ending up in a blast of flame.

Thaede desperately tried to get back, but the giant pulled at the slash harkens at his ribs, bring the crumpled knightmare from behind…

What? No, oh, no. No, no, no.

Thaede was too late when he turned too late when a crumpled mash of metal collided against like a Morningstar chain.

The giant finally departed the bounds of the burning wood and came upon the terrain of watery swamps that ran for miles. The remaining Sutherlands were in his range.

No time like the present.

Auguste was sweating with dread already building up… at what he was seeing of this… unbelievable…

This… impossible…

"I GOT HIM!" Auguste heard Rafe, his companion in the Sutherland holding the heavy armed artillery target the approaching humanoid monster coming for them. "TAKE THIS!"

The rocket blasted from Rafe's bazooka and spiraled toward exposed mass of muscle of the monstrous being…

Direct hit!

With a blast, the rocket took a direct hit on the thing… and it toppled backwards.

"I GOT IT! I GOT IT!"

"ALRIGHT, NOW LET'S KILL THE G*DD*MN THING!"

"No, Rickard, wait!" August yelled on the com for his two other Sutherland to stop as they started circling the naked giant.

Unfortunately, the giant humanoid was already kneeling up. The injury taken by the rocket blast was now being patch generating excessive steam.

The first Sutherland fired its slash harken at the monster's arm.

"NO! DON'T!" August cried out in vain.

The monster seemed to have noticed, as its gleaming green eyes glanced at the slash harken burying deep into the flesh of his wrist, before glancing with that of where they connected to.

It was too late.

The giant grabbed hold of the slash harkens, before pulling it…

Auguste paused, stupefied.

He then heard the screaming when the Sutherland was lifted from the ground and dragged away like a yoyo.

And then… the monster had swung the Sutherland speedily through the air like a Morningstar chain… and… collided it with the other Sutherland.

Turning both into burning piles of metal.

It wasn't long before Auguste heard Rafe cry out on the com and tried desperately to put in another round…

Too late again… when the monster flung the remains of the burning pile into the front of Rafe's Sutherland… and were both crushed flat when the monster flung on top of them.

"No… this… this can't be…" Sir Jordan could barely register the reality settling over him, just as the monster rose up from the flattened heap of machinery that soaked in the watery swamp.

"Am I… am I the last one… still standing here…?"

The monster turned its head… in the direction of Auguste.

It was his turn next.

This couldn't be real… but it was…

He was seven. Getting ready for bed. But not before his father would tell him and his sister about history.

About the monsters…

"No… not a monster…"

He chattered from his teeth… staring at the inevitable.

"It's… It's a spawn of hell!"

"Get back away from me you… you… you devil!" the Gloucester pilot pulled out his lance, and aimed at the monster.

He will… not falter. He was a knight. A knight of the Order of St. Raphael. He lived for the honor of Lord Farnese.

He lives by the sword. He will die by the sword. No matter what!

He cried to give a final yell.

"ALL HAIL BRITANI—"

The giant swiped at the lance and Auguste felt it pounce upon his entire Knightmare Frame. It didn't matter for as much as Auguste cried, he felt the Gloucester turning around as being heaved up… in the air.

It was silent for one moment.

Auguste felt the tears running down his cheeks.

Until a great row of impossibly giant teeth cut through both the top and bottom of the cockpit before they cut down upon Auguste's flesh.

It was done.

From across the battlefield, from the burning forest littered with the remains of knightmares, to the swamp waters… now littered with metal and red with blood.

The giant had kneeled in the center of a swamp before he reared his head shaggy-haired head back and opened his jaw.

And so once more, the world heard a great roar.

A roar that will be heard throughout the world.

A roar that would one day destroy the world.

There.

Strange how it is, this is how it kickstarts.

This is starting looking to be a different cross than that of Code Jedi. Yes, it will be different in other aspects.

I know this would make concerns on my status with Code Jedi, which I still have excitement and plans on going forward, that and others. This will be one of those that I want to take seriously, especially with the kind of journey it will explore.

That and a new dynamic, one that is not going all the way back to the anime's canon beginning but in a different but familiar setting and lore.

He sat on a simple cot in a dark square room.

His attire was different, as they had taken his original uniform and equipment. He had been given simple shirt and trousers in the meanwhile.

They had at least given him a tray of food and a beverage. The food being that of a simple slab of meat, a piece of mash potato, and the beverage being a blue carton containing milk.

He hardly focused on how much time he had spent in the cell. At least since the time he had been given transport before being taken in.

They had reason to have suspicion of him.

The quiet was interrupted when the door to the room slid open.

The young man looked up… and his attention was in full swing when he saw it wasn't the previous man from before… but someone different.

A young woman.

She was dressed in a uniform of the same kind that the officer from before had worn, yet different in ways to accommodate her wear. Her vest was ocean blue with a red collar and cuffs, which covered over a white shirt underneath, with a black tie at her neck. The lower half of her uniform was that of a bushy black skirt which showed off her legs. Her legs were covered by long black boots which went up to a part that showed off the skin of her legs.

Her uniform was decorated in insignias and tags representing her status. Clipped on her left pocket was a grey bird of her country. And a red armband was tied to her left arm that displayed a similar symbol, but a different creature.

She had the longest mane of blonde hair that trailed down to her waist, even at the top of her head, there were a pair of clips. She had a petite face, smooth skin and a pair of eyes that were lighter shades of purple.

There was silence between them for a few moments, before…

"Are you comfortable?"

He replied with nothing at that.

"Excuse me," she apologized, different than how the other staff officers acted around him. "I'm sorry for dropping by unannounced, if that is an inconvenience for you."

"Allow me to introduce myself first," the girl smiled. "My name is Lieutenant Colonel Leila Malcal of E.U. Military. At your service."
