Aldera Junior High, Musutafu

Japan

"You know, if you want to get a quirk so badly, why don't you just take a swan dive off a roof and hope that you'll get your quirk in your next life!?"

A boy with curly green hair, wearing a burnt school uniform, stiffens as he hears those words. He stares back at the ash blonded spiky hair boy in disbelief, the boy who used to be his friend, has just suicide-baited him.

This is Izuku Midoriya, a scrawny kid who seems to be made out of a pile of anxiety and a little pinch of self-consciousness. He lives in a world where superheroes and supervillains exist, the majority of the society has superpowers, which they call it quirk, and heroes are now a job.

And much to his sadness, he was born without any quirk. This made him a target of discrimination and bullying. He used to have friends, but now, they simply become his bullies. One of them is that ash blond-haired boy, Katsuki Bakugou, whom he has known since he was a child.

Izuku always regards the boy as his friend, despite the constant verbal abuses, threats, and even after being treated as a quirk punching bag. He never tried to complain as it only made it worse, but he never let go of his 'friendship' with Bakugou.

In an alternate universe, Izuku will simply brush it off and complain that Bakugou shouldn't have said that. But, this isn't said alternate universe.

At this particular moment, Izuku felt the final thread that tied him with Bakugou, the one he desperately clings to so he could rekindle his friendship with him, snapped. It was the day that Izuku realized after hearing Bakugou's words.

The boy in front of him is no longer the Kacchan he knew. He's just Katsuki Bakugou, a troublesome classmate with zero morals.

As Bakugou leaves the room while laughing, it only gives Izuku another reminder of how little care Bakugou is towards him. He numbly gets up and leaves the classroom. As he reaches the ground floor, he goes into the school's backyard and walks towards the small fish pond. He saw a burnt notebook floating on the pond and he picked it up.

"To think my dream becomes fish food," Izuku mutters before shaking the book and getting rid of the water. "I just hope it's not beyond repair-, Oh who am I kidding, with how much firepower Bakugou possesses, I have no doubt-!"

Izuku suddenly froze before holding his mouth as his eyes widened. He shakily looks at the burnt notebook as images of Bakugou grinning savagely at him flash in his mind.

"I...call him Bakugou...?" Izuku mutter in shock. He never stopped calling Bakugou by a weirdly cute nickname, 'Kacchan', so it's a surprise when he stops calling him that. And for some reason, when he did, it felt like a huge weight lifted off his shoulder.

"Am I...always obsessed with Bakugou...?" Izuku mutters before shaking his head and walking out of the schoolyard, planning to walk back home. Bakugou's words never stop playing in his mind, constantly haunting him like there's no tomorrow.

"Why...why is his words affect me so much...?" Izuku mutters as he continues to walk. He didn't pay attention to the road as he walked, which was a huge mistake on his part as he ended up near a sewer under a bridge.

In an alternate universe, this is the place where a villain appears and tries to take Izuku as his hostage to escape but is stopped by All Might, who changes his life for the better.

But in this universe, things play out differently, as Izuku finally realizes where he is, and looks confused about how did he get there. And suddenly-!

CRACK!!!!

The sound of shattered glass can be heard as a powerful gust of wind blows Izuku off his feet. He was horrified as a crack in space appeared before it shattered into a portal shaped like a broken window. Izuku was scared, believing that this might be caused by a villain's power and that the villain was trying to escape from heroes by using it.

On the other hand, Izuku was fascinated by it since never in his life had he ever encountered a real-life portal. He knows that warp quirk exists in real life and it is known to be very rare. So, seeing it for the first time causes the nerdy side of him to squeal in excitement.

But, his body won't move out of fear, thinking that the villain will pop out of nowhere and try to attack him. He could only stare at the portal for a long time before confusion started to take over Izuku's mind.

"Is...something about to happen?" He mutters in confusion. His fear slowly disappears as he gets up. He knows that a random portal appearing out of nowhere is a red flag and should not be approached by anyone, but sadly, he lets his intrusive thoughts win him over and he approaches the portal with curiosity.

He knows this is a bad idea, but his body instinctively reaches towards the portal before suddenly, a powerful force pulls Izuku into the portal. Izuku tries to fight back, but because he never tried to work out for most of his life, he doesn't even have enough muscle to hold on for even a second. He ends up getting sucked into it without any struggles.

The portal suddenly glows red before the crack starts to repair itself and disappear from everyone's view. When that happens, a pile of sludge starts to come out of the sewer holes near where the portal was. As the sludges piled up, a pair of eyeballs popped out of the sludge as it sighed in relief. Wait what?

"Oh, thank god I found a sewer hole nearby, or else I'll end up getting caught by All Might. Fuck, that's a scary thought." The sludge said as he sighed once more before he crawled away. "I have to thank my lucky star for giving me a chance to escape All Might of all people."

"Hahaha! In your dreams, scumbag!" The sludge stiffens, before turning their eyeballs around to see a hulking blonde-haired man with a large grin, holding a grocery bag. "No villains shall escape from their crime! Why? Because I am here!"

The sludge blankly stares at the man before he lets out a girlish scream.

"DETROIT SMASH!!!!"
