Well, it seems you guys enjoyed the first chapter, so I decided to release the second one! Now, let's move on to a few reviews, shall we?

REVIEWS:

Guest: Betrayal it is, yes, but everyone does their version. In mine, I try to keep everyone's opinions separated and split. Ruby and Nora, for example, do not care about his transcripts. They do not care at all! They just want Jaune, their friend, to remain with them. Blake is also not actively shaming him, as she does realize she'd be a hypocrite in that situation, so she chooses to be silent. She is neither defending him nor attacking him. Ren, for one, unfortunately, does blame Jaune for his actions, seeing them as delusional and irresponsible. However, in his case, he is the easiest one to come around. This points out the real ones who hold more grudges over him. Pyrrha, Yang, and Weiss - all of whom do so more out of selfish pride than anything. Ren is more rational and calm and thinks things through more. They don't. In their case, it is purely a case of pride on various levels. Weiss sees what Jaune did as a disgrace to the profession of Huntsman as a whole, not to mention as a spit to her face, considering how hard she worked to get to Beacon by comparison. Pyrrha's situation is similar to hers, as she, too, worked hard to get where she is, but her case will be more deeply explored as the story goes on. Yang, on the other hand, is less selfish in her grip against him, surprisingly enough, as although she shares Weiss' views on how Jaune spat in the face of Huntsmen all over, she also thinks about Ruby and the worst-case scenario if they ever would be caught in a mission, with him, and his incompetence results in her being hurt or worse. This also feeds from Yang's trauma. They have reasons, opinions, and so on. But things WILL evolve as the story goes on. For the better...And the worst.

Exodus12345: This is M; of course, I will do lemons and romance. You need only wonder who Jaune gets.

Kamen Rider Sentry: I will not promise Ben 10 villains. Also, they are not hypocrites yet, as the Blake stuff has yet to happen.

Yang34: This is not a Harem story, and what you described is just...Too far. As Kamen over yonder said, Cardin was cool with Jaune after Forever Fall Forest, so he didn't say a thing! Pyrrha did, for reasons that will slowly be explored.

Also, I know the chapter is a wee short, but I cannot do big chapters packed with action and development in every chapter. XD.

Appearing again, Jaune once again threw his lunch all over the floor. This time, however, Paradox had taken the two of them to some warehouse, albeit the windows were all boarded up, the crates around were likely empty, and the amount of dust in the air was enough to choke a small mouse to death. "There. This place should provide you with a roof over your head, provided you sleep in the less leaky parts of it."

"Can't-" He gagged again, almost puking another round, but he forced it down. "Can't you make that teleportation trick less nauseating?"

"Teleporting? Whatever do you mean, Jaune, I merely dragged you along for the ride." The man replied, but he quickly added. "Regardless, best get some rest. By the time the Omnitrix finishes fixing up your DNA and body, proper registration should commence, then you will be free to do whatever you wish."

"Where do I even sleep around here?"

"Hmm. Oh, I am sure you will figure something out. I will see you later, Jaune. Well, later for you, in just a moment for me." And so, Paradox simply took a step back and vanished before Jaune's eyes.

"I barely know the guy, and I already don't like him much."

True to Paradox's words, the Omnitrix did fix him, given the necessary time. His skin, hair, eyes - everything was back the way it should be. By the time it had finished, it was late afternoon, close to evening even. Jaune barely knew if he was still in Vale or not, given how at the inn it was night, and he knew for a fact it was day when they departed first, then day again when they arrived at this warehouse. Honestly, he wouldn't be surprised if he ended up in some inn in Mistral, all the way on the other side of Remnant!

Yet, Jaune had other things to worry about now. Leave the strange, alleged time traveler and whatever else he can travel through to his devices and worry about his device. Which, to add, shifted again, the symbol turning to the side.

"Genetic Damage fully fixed. Process finished. Registration starting: Biometrical scans completed. The user, Jaune Arc, presents himself as a male, age 18, with the genes to indicate blue eyes, blonde hair, and an inherently ectomorphic body type which doesn't encourage muscle growth easily, but also makes weight gain difficult."

"I don't know if I should be insulted or not about it…" Jaune muttered, and then the Omnitrix continued.

"Additional security measures required. Please answer a few questions to add additional layers of security in case the Omnitrix is ever found in the possession of anyone other than the user or the admins."

"Ask away, I think?"

"Understood."

Paradox somehow made it seem like the Omnitrix was sentient before. Yet, to Jaune, it sounded almost robotic.

"First question: Full Name."

"Jaune Daedalus Arc."

"Noted. Mother and Father's names?"

"Juliet and Lionel Arc."

"Noted. Siblings' names?"

"From oldest to youngest: Saphron, Coral, Alice, me, Sapphire, Jade, Lapis, and Silva."

"Noted. The Omnitrix will have to check the user's fertility levels."

"Huh? Wait a minute, why check those?!"

"Given the number of siblings and how fertility tends to be genetic, the Omnitrix is required to keep a full medical profile of the user, as well as potential offspring. Continuing the inquiry: Favorite food?"

At least the questions were relatively simple and non-invasive. "My mother's home-cooked meatloaf."

"Specifics are good. Hobby?"

"I…I don't know if you are recording this smartly or not, but I guess my only hobby until I reached Beacon was secretly practicing with a sword."

"The user's emotional levels, as indicated by the chemical reactions given by their body, indicate frustration, sadness, and depression. Do you require the Omnitrix to alter those?"

"W-what?! No! That sounds like taking drugs!"

"Understood. However, the user is at this moment informed that in case of extreme levels of harmful emotional reactions that might lead to things such as suicide, the Omnitrix is going to alter said emotions with or without consent."

"I…Noted."

"The hobby has been noted as well."

"Huh," Jaune said slowly, realizing something. "So you ARE sentient. And a voice inside my head, currently."

"Only the user, Jaune Arc, can currently hear the Omnitrix. Additionally, the Omnitrix has been equipped with the latest AI technology to aid and assist the user." Yet, Jaune noted that that did not account for imitating emotional tones. The Omnitrix sounded female, yet robotically so. Still, advanced AI, right?

"Any more questions?" He asked, and sure enough, the Omnitrix continued.

"Given nicknames?" At this, Jaune sighed a bit.

"Vomit Boy."

"Query: Not your best one?"

"Let's just say that if you can, please help me out with something called motion sickness," Jaune said, and sure enough, the Omnitrix actually seemed to listen.

"Understood. Omnitrix has taken notice of the user's request and will suppress the state of vertigo whenever it arises. Next query: Number of sexual experiences?"

Fuck that, now it was getting intimate! "Is that really necessary? I mean-"

"The user has provided so far information that either family or friends can know, and as such, the Omnitrix requires additional, more personal information the user wouldn't share easily with people they might not trust or feel embarrassed speaking to of."

"I guess it makes sense…But if so, the answer to that is…" He hesitated, then sighed. "Zero."

"...Biometric scans do not suggest an unattractive male specimen of the human race. Blond hair and blue eyes are even seen as the most successful combination."

"Or, not you too! Look, all my father ever told me was that confidence is the key, but a fat load of good that did me!" Jaune snapped slightly, face red in embarrassment.

"Sensible subject. Noted. Moving on to the final question."

"Finally!"

"Who made your fake transcripts?"

Jaune froze after hearing the Omnitrix ask him THAT of all the questions. He looked down at his tattoos, then recalled something Paradox told him. The Omnitrix was fully integrated into him, meaning it was him, and he was the Omnitrix. "You didn't require verbal input, did you? You are in my head."

"Your deduction is correct. The Omnitrix can read the user's memories; as such, all details you have answered so far have already been recorded and known. This was merely a measure to ensure the user's trust in the Omnitrix, as so far, you have truthfully answered every inquiry."

"Then doesn't that mean you also know the answer to that final question? Why ask it again? I promised her I wouldn't tell anyone who helped me, and I didn't want to cause her trouble. Come on, Omnitrix, surely you can understand that. You know, but I don't even want to say it out loud to keep the secret." Jaune said, nearly begging the device inside of him for the sole ability to keep this final secret.

The person who helped him, to whom he owes the chance he got. "Very well. The fact Terra Cotta-Arc aided you will be kept secret."

"Thank you!" Jaune replied. Then, suddenly, he heard a beeping sound, and suddenly, his vision FLASHED, white and gold lights going everywhere. His eyes stung from it, but they calmed soon after, revealing what he could only describe as some kind of HUD. He saw a small 3D figure of himself, even showing his current clothing, spinning around in the lower leftmost corner of his vision, along with a clock in the opposite corner of his eye, something akin to a compass being displayed at the top of his field of vision as well.

"The Omnitrix has been initiated. The user's HUD system has been initiated, giving them a basic navigation system and clock, in addition to a full-body diagnosis that updates in real-time."

"Woah…Ok, this is something." Jaune admitted, then he walked around, thankful this thing was see-through. He looked through one of the windows, seeing the sun setting slightly. "Hmm. Omnitrix."

"Yes?"

"Tell me, how long does it take for the DNA to 'rest' after each transformation?"

"Provided you do not stress it too much by surpassing the time limit, and no inter-form changing occurs, the Omnitrix will be ready to initiate transformation again right away; if not all time has been used up, or if not, then the DNA can be fixed within 5 minutes, if not less."

"So, if I turn into an alien for…30 seconds?"

"Instant fix, no cooldown required."

"I see, so the shorter I keep my transformations, the faster I recover to be ready for more. Noted." Jaune said, then he stared at the Omnitrix symbol on the edge of his vision. "Omnitrix? How do I transform?"

"You need to bring up the physical part of the Omnitrix on your wrist." Sure enough, Jaune brought the Omnitrix on his wrist closer. "Now, you need to grab the dial by the right and left side at the same time, then press the dial down a bit. It will enable the selection screen. By turning the dial, you can scroll through your forms, and then by releasing it, the Omnitrix will pop up. To initiate transformation, you need to push it back down."

"Huh. Sounds simple enough." Jaune said to himself as he did as instructed, and sure enough, the image shifted, showing him 3D-modeled pictures of all of his available forms. "I see. What was the one I turned into before? The green, slimy thing?"

"Polymorph. Do you wish to view information on this race?"

"Sure!" Jaune said, and sure enough, a full document opened before his eyes, and he read through it. Wait…He could make the slime more acidic?! Are you telling him he could have just BURNED through those Grimm? And more! Oh man, now he was regretting not reading this stuff sooner. "Holy shit…Ok, I think I will name this one…Slime."

"Name has been registered. Polymorph DNA sample shall now be known henceforth as Slime."

"Nice."

"I see you got the hang of the Omnitrix already!" Jaune turned sharply, seeing no other than Professor Paradox there, a light smile on his face. "When I left last, you were still green in your face, yet it seems you are all better now."

"Yeah, I even went through registration," Jaune added, holding his hand up. Paradox looked at it, inspecting it.

"I can see. The Omnitrix seems to be fully active now. So, what do you say, Jaune? I did say you will need to figure out how you will be living, and I think I found something."

"You did?"

"Yes. It is quite simple, really. You will be stealing!"

"...huh?"

"Don't give me that look, Jaune; I am quite serious." The man deadpanned. "Look, right now, that is your only choice. But do not worry. You won't be stealing from law-abiding citizens. Instead, you will be stealing from drug dealers! They always have bags of money with them!"

"Profesor?" Jaune got his attention. "I don't know if that is a good idea, seeing as they might seek revenge. You know, I heard bad stuff about drug dealers and their methods, and I don't think they are exactly all that right in the head and all, and-"

"And you have no choice!" Paradox finished for him. "Seeing as your living situation is not ideal. Plus, you want to do some good? Do it by making the streets of Vale safer! Destroy the drugs, kick some ass, then just take the money."

"Don't heroes usually leave the money?" Jaune asked, yet Paradox merely chuckled.

"Only if they are already rich, live a double life, or both. The rest of the time, they could really use a boost." Paradox had a solid point there, and Jaune would admit to that.

"O-ok. I think I can use this as a test of the Omnitrix's abilities. A more proper one, without me turning into some green freak." Jaune replied, and then he brought forth his interface for transformations. "Where are those drug dealers anyway? Are they far?"

"Two streets down from here. You see, Jaune, this warehouse is located near the docks, but it was abandoned. Close by is the Malany neighborhood, an impoverished Faunus neighborhood. I trust you heard of it?"

"I did, back when doing some research on Vale. It is the most crime-infested place in Vale! The Council is attempting to bring order to it, but last I heard of it on the news, they are not doing a good job." Jaune said, but then he watched Paradox's expression harden a bit.

"Are they failing by mistake, Jaune? Or on purpose?"

"Huh? What do you mean by that?" The boy asked, now confused, yet Paradox did not say more.

"Sorry, Jaune, but I am afraid I cannot just point you to where you need to unleash your power. You will need to come up with such a decision by yourself. I won't be holding your hand and telling you HOW to do this, but at best, I advise you when you need it. Now, tell me, Jaune, what are you going to do?"

Jaune remained silent following Paradox's words, looking down at the only manifestation of the Omnitrix on his body - the watch-like device. Then he clenched his fists. "Two streets down, right?" The man nodded. "Alright. I guess it's time to make my debut?"

Sure enough, Jaune left the warehouse, walking through the neighborhood. It was quite dark outside, seeing as the sun set a bit of time ago. He was following Paradox's directions, with the man himself telling him he would be watching from a distance how he handles himself. Still, he was nervous.

"Emotional Distress detected. Do you wish for aid?"

"N-no. I am just a bit nervous, that's all. I mean, you said I have ten options to choose from, right? How do I even decide which is suitable?"

"True, the Professor's announcement was short notice, and you did not study your forms. However, given the situation, from information uploaded by the admins, the Omnitrix can confirm that, currently, all DNA samples you have access to should be able to stand against normal, run-of-the-mill drug dealers."

"Huh…That's reassuring." Jaune said slowly; then he heard something. Talking, as he approached an ally. His breathing stopped for a second, followed by his heart beating faster. He went against the wall, peeking over it slowly.

"So, this is the stuff?" One of them asked, having a bag next to them. It was an average sports bag, but Jaune could spot the cash within. The buyers numbered four people, and their sellers counted 3, yet despite the slight numerical advantage, he took note of how the sellers were showcasing their weapons openly. They were all likely packing at least handguns, and he was certain the sellers were, as he could see them.

"Indeed. 10 Kilos of Howlin' Beowolf, 100% purity." The seller said, using a dumpster as a table to show off the goods. He was holding a vial in hand - injectable drugs, the worst kind arguably - while his pals kept watch over a larger box, likely packed full of the stuff. Since a liquid is usually not sold in kilos, Jaune could only assume they meant the weight of the overall package, which meant who knows how many vials of that stuff.

"Nice. This stuff sells well around here. Here is this month's payment, as always." They pushed the sports bag forward, the others doing the same with their box. "Always a pleasure."

"They are going to leave now…I cannot let them, though. I need to act now." Jaune said to himself, making a slight move. Yet, one of them, who perked up hearing his slight step, turned around sharply.

"Whose there?" They shouted, causing the others to get on guard and reach for their guns.

"Shit, we have a watcher." One of the buyers said, coking back their gun.

"Shit, shit, shit - they heard me!" Jaune rushed his hand to the Omnitrix, scrolling through the DNA samples.

"Calm down. The enemy is approaching. You need to act."

"Right! Let's see, let's see…" He heard footsteps growing closer. "Shit!" The goon was right around the corner, the gun already coming into Jaune's vision. "Fuck it!"

Then, a white light flashed.

"What the fuck?!" one of the sellers shouted in surprise, seeing the flash, which blinded the goon from the buyer's crew slightly since he was very close. After recovering, he jumped into the open, looking to his left and then to his right. However, confusion was quick to set in.

"There is no one here!" They replied, yet, at that moment, with their guard down, something just…hit him over the head. It wasn't that powerful of a punch, all things considered, but he had no aura, and when it connected, it was so fast it caused him to topple over and fall on the ground.

"What-" Another one from the buyer team was struck next by a blur, collapsing on the ground like this pal. The blur moved around, and the last of the standing buyers aimed their guns, trying to shoot it, yet found the blur simply too fast, even for bullets!

"Dude, what the fuck is this thing?!" he asked aloud, then looked at the sellers who were trying to book it. "Hey, wait up!-" However, they didn't manage to escape. The blur passed them all, and despite not seeing the full details, all of the sellers were swiftly knocked on the ground one by one, their guns then vanishing just as fast as they collapsed. And when they were all knocked out? That is when he saw it.

A gangly creature with features he saw only in Sci-Fi movies. It seemed to be wearing some kind of black and white jumpsuit with a strange, golden badge on its chest, with white on the center part and black on the sides. Their legs, if he could call them that, showed that their skin was blue. Behind them, a long, prehensile tail with black stripes on it stretched, swinging around. Their arms were long, but instead of fingers, they ended in some kind of claw with three fingers - if those things were even fingers. Their feet had wheels on them, or rather, those wheels were its feet.

The being before him seemed to be wearing some kind of helmet with a visor as well, maybe even a helmet. It was black, long, elliptical, and pointed at the top. Then, their visor opened, revealing white eyes, lacking pupil or iris, black lips, facial markings, and black rings around their eyes.

"What…" He said softly, shocked by the appearance of this creature. This was no Faunus, or Huntsman, or fuck, even Grimm! "What the fuck are you?"

"That is the question, isn't it?" The being said back, giving him a grin. It had a slightly high-pitched voice, and it seemed to be speaking relatively quickly, too. "But damn! That was fast! Did you see me? I was fast, wasn't I? Those guys went down very fast as well, and I cannot believe how fast I got over my inhibitions about this! By the way, did I mention how fast I was?"

The creature spoke…It understood him, and he understood it. That was too much for the guy, as his vision quickly darkened, and his face kissed the ground.

"Ouch. I guess some would have that reaction." Jaune said, wearing his new form. "Hmmm. I think I will dub you…Nitro!"

"Tag registered!"

"Thank you! Now, let us see here, an entire box of drugs - oh, bad stuff." Picking up the box in question, Jaune looked around for a bit for anything he could use. Luckily, it was easy to spot, as he found something sticking out of the dumpster. A baseball bat. "Oh, this will do nicely!"

Dropping the box down, Jaune got to work - which was down in a couple of seconds as he constantly swung the bat and effectively broke each vial in the box. "Easy!" He shouted, then he threw the bat away. Turning around, he spotted the bag down next to one of the passed-out sellers, using his new hand to pick it up by the cord and then strap it on his back. "There, nice and secure. Now, I would love to hang around, guys, but I am afraid I am in a hurry! I need to be fast!" His visor closed, and then, just as fast as he appeared, he vanished.

"Not bad," Paradox said to himself as he sat on a nearby rooftop, having observed with a pair of binoculars. Jaune might have panicked at first, but he made a good choice. Kineceleran DNA meant he fought with speed and agility unmatched in this world unless a semblance was counted on, and judging by how easy those guys went down, they lacked aura. Normal people are not particularly dangerous.

Additionally, he dealt with them effectively and without making much of a mess. He destroyed the drugs, too, and took the money, which, if he was correct, he was going to bring over to their warehouse to count. Best get there himself.

So, turning around and taking a step, Paradox found himself in the warehouse again, just in time for Jaune to arrive back. "Woah! Are you already here? How? Wait, no, stupid question, you travel through time and space ."

"I see the DNA does affect you, slightly, when it comes to personality," Paradox noted, which seemed to cause a reaction from Jaune.

"Does it? I didn't notice." Jaune replied, then threw down the bag. "Do we count them?"

"Jaune, focus. Some forms will have the effect of altering your personality and even level of intelligence, but that is normal. Some have just a higher influence on you, and while some are beneficial, especially those making you smarter, you need to learn to control those changes. You are still you, Jaune."

"Alright, alright - Roger that! Let's see…" Jaune began to count the money, which, with his speed, was pretty much done in a couple of seconds, the time in which Paradox watched with slight amusement as he even arranged each Lien card by color and value - with red ones being worth 1, blue ones being worth 5, yellow ones being worth 10, then silver ones being worth 100, followed by golden ones being worth 500. Paradox didn't see higher ones, but he knew there were higher ones too. "24.560 Lien!" Jaune finished, then he turned back. "Woah! Ok…That was a rush…"

"I can imagine," Paradox said, looking at the money. "A good haul."

"I overheard them saying that this is some kind of monthly payment," Jaune said, looking over the money. "So, if anything, this means I got a salary."

The older man chuckled. "Indeed. Granted, paying all in cash might seem suspicious to some people. Allow me to help you, Jaune." The man put a hand on the money, then vanished with them. However, Jaune then turned to the door of the warehouse and saw Paradox walk through with something in his hands. "Here you go, Jaune. This is a card for a private account I opened and deposited the money in."

Jaune took the card slowly and looked at it. It has his name on it, too - Jaune Arc - yet how the man managed such a thing was beyond the boy's comprehension. "H-how?"

"Long story, I had to travel back a few weeks before they fired a certain clerk more willing to do suspicious transactions." The man replied, and Jaune had to admit this was getting a bit much for him. "Now, as far as future additions to this go, I will need to go in person. Officially speaking, I am depositing the money you earn through…Odd jobs."

"That makes me sound like- Know what? I am not going there, no. Whatever you did, Paradox, I won't pry and just accept it." Jaune said, then he brought his wallet out and put the card inside it. "So, what now?"

"Now? What did I say before, Jaune? I pretty much did my part, so now it is your time to decide what you want to do." The man said, once again giving Jaune the call about what to do next.

"Well, I guess that I can use this kind of money to get myself a place to sleep in." He said, earning a nod from the man. "Though…This neighborhood does seem to need some aid regarding its drug issue, so maybe a place close to it? A nice apartment for sure, but close to this place as well."

"A wise decision, seeing as such a place is bound to be quite cheap, given the building value around here," Paradox said. "And going forward?"

"I could run around as Nitro." Paradox figured that is how he named his new form. Fitting name. Sure enough, that alien should be fast enough to cover the neighborhood in a matter of minutes easily, too. Easy scouting, yet…

"And what about the time limit? Remember, Jaune, at most, you have 30 minutes before you enter high risk of genetic damage and mutations." The man reminded him, and Jaune seemed to acknowledge that.

"I will try and manage it. If need be, I will wear a hoodie to hide myself best." Jaune replied, which while not that ideal, was better than nothing. "I also want to keep myself hidden in terms of identity."

And now, it was time to do some probing and testing again. "How so? Imagine the popularity you'd get at being a hero, running around, saving lives, and so on. Surely, pulling off such feats could easily show up everyone who told you otherwise in terms of skill and ability."

"I-I'd rather not," Jaune said, slightly nervous, and his arms slowly reached to his neck, starting to rub it. "To me, that sounds more like unwanted attention. I mean, what good does it do to be famous?"

"The first wielder was," Paradox added. "Granted, his reveal was not something he planned."

"And…Did that turn out well for him?"

"Eventually - ok, fair point. In the long run, when people learn you are on their side, that is good, but at first? Fear of the unknown is strong." Jaune got him there. "Still, what about your former team, friends, and family?"

"Ok, now they cannot know no matter what." Jaune was quite adamant about that one. "I mean, could you imagine? I don't see a part of them reacting that badly, but Yang, Weiss, and Pyrrha? Yang might just demand that I fight her, and who knows what Weiss would try given her entire company and whatnot? And Pyrrha? Becoming famous is bound to bring attention to us both, given our relationship as partners. And I doubt she'd enjoy being compared to me after everything."

"Hmmm. I think I see. Weiss Schnee certainly proved how easily she can become a handful before and not end up well, either. But what about your family?" At this, Jaune seemed to stiffen up quite a bit.

"As you might know, I am only still an Arc because there are no heirs." Jaune began slowly. "But, I know that if I ever get married and have a son, my father will do everything in his power to take them away and then cast me out of the family."

"Has there been any precedent of this?" Paradox asked, taking a more serious tone. That was quite the extreme set of actions Jaune was accusing his father of. Some could even call it a crime. This was certainly the first time the Professor heard of this.

"I am not sure. However, my family holds a couple of traditions that set us apart from other people, yet we don't follow most of them anymore. If there is such a practice in our house, then…I might as well wait until my father passes of old age or something before getting married and having a child!"

"Hmm. There are options to your dilemma, I admit, but none I think you will be comfortable following." The man said, stroking his chin. He'd need to do some independent research on this. "But that aside, I can understand your wish for anonymity. I respected it, even! It calms my soul to know you will do just fine, Jaune."

"So, aside from pretty much being my go-to for when I rob some traffickers blind-"

"-I won't provide any more support. I will be someone you can talk with, sure, but I won't tell you what, how, or when to be a hero. Everything is now in your hands, Jaune. Do it wisely."

Inhaling deeply, Jaune replied." I will. Thank you, again, for this, Professor Paradox. I will make sure to wield this gift well."

"I know you will, Jaune. Now, run along! The night is still young." With a grin on his face, Jaune's body once again flashed as he turned into Nitro, drawing his visor and then speeding off away from the warehouse. Paradox simply shook his head as he began to walk away, not yet teleporting anywhere. "That boy will be interesting to witness…"

"A monster made of green slime?" Ozpin echoed as he stood in his office with his deputy, Glynda Goodwitch, who just finished reporting their search for Jaune Arc.

"Yes, Headmaster. We also found two strange devices, one of which seemed to allow the creature to form itself into some kind of humanoid shape. It didn't make to attack us, and it could also talk, but given how Jaune Arc's armor was covered in…it…I have assumed it might have had something to do with his disappearance." She replied, not making an effort to hide her disgust at what she saw. To her, that creature was utterly disgusting.

"And you failed to capture it, having escaped as soon as Grimm arrived." Ozpin recounted from her report. "However, you did find a thrashed area where, presumingly, this creature attacked the Grimm ."

"Yes, headmaster," Glynda replied. "But with this being said, we have been left with no plausible leads to finding Jaune Arc." Ozpin sighed in frustration hearing her. This piqued her curiosity, making her ask the Headmaster the following question. "Ozpin…What kind of promise did you make, and to whom? You are going to great lengths to see Mister Arc back in Beacon."

"The person I promised was his grandfather, Glynda," Ozpin revealed.

"You mean Crono Arc?"

"His MATERNAL grandfather." Ozpin corrected, and Glynda immediately pieced it together.

"Claus Seraph…" She said slowly, recalling the name well. "True, his semblance was very powerful. Being able to tell the future of a person has been one of your best tools for years before his demise."

"Indeed. I promised Claus that when Jaune enters my Academy on faked transcripts, I will take care of the boy and make him into the hero he desires." Glynda did a double-take at this.

"You KNEW he would use fake documents even BEFORE they were submitted?"

"Trust me, Glynda, I was wondering what Claus meant, too. When he made me promise those things, Jaune was still in the maternity ward with his twin sister, Alice. Yet, he used his semblance on him to peek into his future. I do not know what he saw in full detail, yet he was very shaken. He told me that great things are in Jaune's future or horrible catastrophes. Which he was unsure of. His semblance always lost accuracy the further he looked. But I think he knew something but couldn't say. He wanted me to take care of Jaune to ensure he doesn't go down a dangerous path."

"Ozpin, I-...I didn't know." Glynda said slowly.

"I was a close friend of the Seraph family during one of my previous incarnations. Claus knew my secret, and I trusted him. He was a good friend to me, and I intend to keep the promise I made. Glynda, your new task is to find the location of this creature and capture it. If you said it knows the language, then that means we can interrogate it to reveal the location of Jaune or at least his fate."

"Yes, Headmaster."
